Chapter 16: Redeeming Qualities:

The effects of their previous conversation were still reeling in on Ivy. She still couldn't comprehend the magnitude of Batman's last statement.

After tonight, there wouldn't be a Batman...

Ivy for one, was definitely not going to allow that to happen. Not by a long shot. She had succeeded in the goal of helping Harley, but Batman on the other hand, was a whole entirely different story.

He seemed deadlocked on the fact the Gotham would no longer see him after all this madness was over. Ivy made it her mission to make sure he'd stop bottling up all of his emotions and be more open about his feelings, after all, they were all just human beings, man and woman, bleeding all the same.

For now, all Ivy could do was just sit down and wait for Batman to return from one of his various missions tonight. There was no choice but to be patient and await his arrival.

As much as it pained Ivy, it was all she could do for now. Her passion for helping Batman was bigger than ever. She would not let herself allow Batman to succumb to his tainted desires.

And more importantly, she would not allow that dead madman to gain mental superiority over Batman. Ivy would not let Batman giving her the chance at redemption go to waste. She owed that to Batman.

The small minutes to Ivy felt like hours, days, and even years, maybe this was all because of Ivy's desperation, fear or both, it didn't matter, she just wanted him to return to her as soon as he could.

Suddenly, "Miss Ivy?" Was heard across the room.

The semi-recovering Ivy looked over to see her newly found friend, Officer Joana standing there, with an assault rifle.

"Oh, hello, Officer, how's your night?" Ivy politely replied.

He chuckled lightly, "Like how anyone else in this building's night would go."

A light chuckle drew from Ivy's end, "Good point."

"I just came to see how you're holding up, Miss Isley, speaking of which, how is your condition, is it progressing better or worse?"

"Believe me, it feels like it's getting worse, but overall it should be getting better as the night progresses." And that was truly how Ivy felt.

"Ahh, I see now, I know that feeling, believe me, it may not be the levels of what your feeling, but I do know that better or worse feeling your going through. I'll come back around later Pamela." Joana began to head off in the direction of the exit.

"Wait, Officer Joana, could you stay? If you don't mind, I would like to talk to you about something important, if you have time of course."

The good officer smiled before grabbing a chair and placing himself in it to talk to Ivy.

"Ask away, Pamela."

"What is some advice you would give to someone regarding mental health and emotional health?"

"Wow, that's a really deep dive, Miss Isley."

"Yes, it's an important question, and I wanted to talk to someone about it, your probably the purest man in here, so I decided to ask you."

"Let me guess, is this about Batman?"

Ivy was a little surprised that he knew the primary reason why she asked her question.

"Well yes, you see, I'm really worried about Batman's current...mental and emotional state, I'm getting really worried that he's bottling up his true emotions way too much, and I want to get him to open up more, that's all."

Ivy made the smart move in not revealing to much about Batman's personal issues.

Joana was still contemplating on what to say to Ivy, regarding the subject of Batman and his emotions. He finally found it. "Well here's my input on the matter. Batman is no different than all of us, we're all man and women and we all bleed together. If Batman is trying to bottle up negative emotions, he shouldn't, that never ends well for anybody, whether it's me, you Miss Isley, the strong-willed Batman, or even people as powerful as Superman or Wonder Woman."

"Wow, that is really great advice, thank you Joana."

"Don't mention it Miss Isley, Batman should be arriving soon, I suggest you try and talk to him before his negative state takes over him."

As the good cop exits the room, Ivy now had an idea of what she would say to Batman once he had got back to the GCPD.

Sometime after her talk with Officer Joana, Ivy was still patiently awaiting Batman's arrival. It was thanks to the officer that she now knew, or at the very least had an idea of what to say to Batman.

She was gonna get him to open up to her, one way or the other. She had faith in her self. This was going to work.

Meanwhile, Batman had finally returned to the precinct after being absent, and judging by the slight commotion she heard on the outside, he had brought in some more petty militia thugs from his patrol.

The obvious yells of defiance were heard, which annoyed Ivy, but weren't her main concern.

All she wanted to do was talk to Batman. And eventually he walked In the room, stoic as ever. "Ivy," was all that left his mouth.

"Your back, took you long enough."

"Hmph, was busy, caught and subdued more Militia soldiers, they won't be a problem anymore. How are you holding up? What's the current status of your condition?"

"It doesn't feel like it's better, but it's getting better, I can feel it."

"I see."

Ivy decided to start off small, "Did anything extraordinary happen with Gotham's Most Wanted yet?"

"Just following leads on Crane, there's still more work that needs to be done out there."

Before Batman could walk out of the room, Ivy stops him midway, "Wait, Batman...I need to talk to you."

The detective stopped momentarily and looked back at Ivy, waiting for her answer. Ivy on the other hand prayed she wouldn't offend him.

"It's about you, personally."

Batman still remained silent. But Ivy could tell he was letting her air out whatever was on her mind.

"You see, It's about some of the things you said the last time we talked, with you locking yourself away after this is all over, I'm just...concerned about you and your inner thoughts and feelings."

Suddenly, "I have to go," Batman tried to leave the room, but Ivy, with a small amount of energy and strength grabbed his hand and stopped him from leaving.

"No, sit down Batman, now." Ivy commanded very sternly, in spite of her current condition.

Batman hesitated for another thirty seconds. Eventually, he relented and sat down in a nearby chair in Ivy's makeshift room. For once, Ivy felt she was truly 'defeating' Batman in a sense.

"Good, now let's talk to each other about our inner feelings and struggles we each have."

Batman remained in his usual stoic demeanor.

"What makes you want to shut yourself out from others, why do you insist on working alone?

"Why do you ask?"

This made Ivy slightly annoyed, and even angry a bit. Negligence was a thing that always annoyed Ivy about people, even before she had became a Meta-Human.

"Because I want to know." The stern voice could be heard coming from Ivy. "Batman, it's better to get these things off your chest, bottling up negative emotions is never good for you or anyone else. I ask because I...I care about you and your well-being." Ivy tried hard to fight it, but thanks to her brief passionate speech, she could feel her self blushing. Fortunately for her, she was luckily able to hide the baby green blush that had formed on her cheeks.

Batman surprisingly sighed, "I insist on working alone most of the time because it keeps the ones close to me safer, I lost...two people close to me because of partnerships they formed with me, working alone makes things easier for me and keeps them safer."

Even Ivy could tell Batman wasn't necessarily sure about what he had just said, "I understand why you feel this way, and I send my condolences to your friends Batman, but trust me when I say this, surrounding yourself with people that love you is good for you, take your relationship with Robin for example, he wouldn't follow you around Gotham for no reason. He clearly cares about you and looks up to you like a father figure, and don't try to deny it, Batman. I've interacted enough with the both of you to easily figure that out."

Batman knew Ivy had made a point, he had began thinking of his recent treatment and current relationship with Robin. Most of this was currently unknown to Ivy.

Ivy formed a small smile. "You two are inseparable if you ask me, Batman and Robin are truly Gotham's dynamic duo."

Suddenly, "Your right." Batman says. "It only makes things easier for me, instead of protecting them, I'm only pushing them away because of my own guilt I'm trying to shield."

Ivy could sense Batman's sadness, although he'd never admit it. So she placed a hand on his shoulder to comfort him. "It's okay, Batman. "Your doing what you feel is right for those you care about, and no one's going to judge you."

The room went silent for about a minute. Deep down inside, Ivy fought the urge inside of her to kiss Batman and tell him that everything was going to be alright.

She broke the silence, "Okay, you've shared enough on your end, I won't pry for more, so now it's my turn."

"What do you have on your mind, Ivy?"

"I've been wanting to say this to you for a while."

"Go on."

"For starters, I never got the chance to tell you this, but I just wanted to say thank you for everything. For giving me the chance to show that I can become a better person and for believing in me. Thank you for helping find the humanity that I had never lost. For that, I'm truly grateful."

"Don't mention it," Batman simply says.

There was also one more loose end that Ivy wanted to make peace of. "There's one more thing I would like to do, if you don't mind of course, I would like to speak to Barbara Gordon, I feel like I owe her an apology, after all I caused her father a lot of stress over the years and I feel as that would be another step towards a better Ivy."

"That Sounds like a good idea, I'll take you to Barbara right now."

Ivy was taken by surprise a little, so soon? Ivy couldn't do anything about it now as Batman helped her to her feet and took her to where Barbara was.

In her own personal temporary quarters, Barbara Gordon say by herself fiddling with the computer she was given by the department.

"Barbara."

The young female tech genius turned around and saw Batman standing there with Ivy.

"What's she doing here?"

Batman spoke on Ivy's behalf, "Ivy's here because she has something she wants to say to you, I'll give you two a minute." Batman exited the makeshift office, enough where they both could see him and enough where he could not hear their conversation.

"Miss Gordon," The reformed EX-Villainess says, a little nervous. "It probably doesn't mean much, but I just wanted to say how truly sorry I am for everything I've done to you, and especially your father, Commissioner Gordon. You probably don't believe me, you probably are questioning yourself right now whether or not I'm being sincere, and I don't blame you, I just wanted you to know that I'm sorry and mean that a lot, I want to prove to you and everybody that I can be a force of good and not the monster that I once was."

Ivy finished. She hoped this was enough to convince the police commissioner's daughter that she was trying to change for the better, but she would not blame her if she didn't believe her.

She saw the look in Barbara's eyes. She wasn't sure if she actually believed her, or didn't trust her, could she believe her, was she angry? A lot of things raced through Ivy's head in that moment.

Finally, Barbara broke the seemingly endless barrier of silence between them, "Okay Ivy, I'll give you that benefit of the doubt being that you did rid Gotham of the fear toxin cloud courtesy of our favorite 'psychologist', Scarecrow, however, I want to see if your actions after tonight prove you've really changed or not, are you the reborn antidote you claim to be or will you just remain as the same old Poison Ivy."

Ivy was surprised that Barbara had given her the benefit of the doubt. Meanwhile on Barbara's end, she understood why Batman chose to heal Ivy, but anything BEYOND getting her out of her critical condition was something she wasn't sure of.

Shortly thereafter, Batman had re-entered the room to check in on the girls. "How's it going in here with you two?"

"Fine." Barbara casually says. "Ivy?"

"Everything's okay here," Says Ivy.

Batman speaks up, "Good now we-"

Suddenly an explosion could be heard from the outside of the building. Then the entire building shakes violently, causing Ivy to nearly fall to the ground.

Fortunately Batman was there to catch her and prevent her from falling.

"What the hell was that?" Barbara exclaims.

"Trouble." Batman simply says.

Officer Joana even comes into the room, immediately taking his assault riffle off of safety mode. "Ladies, and Batman, it sounds like a crazy party out there."

Suddenly the face of someone that no one wanted to see appeared on Barbara's screen.

It was Scarecrow...

Ivy wanted to vomit at the sight of the man that had nearly killed her tonight.

"The strong-willed and valiant men and women of the Gotham City Police Force, I have but a little message for all of you, Batman will not save you. Your Dark Knight will not protect you. This is the beginning of the end for you, Detective."

Ivy rolls her eyes out of annoyance, "Does he ever shut up?" Ivy sarcastically asks.

"Couldn't agree with you more." Barbara says, shutting off Scarecrow's annoying broadcast with a quick press of a button.

"They're no doubt, trying to lure you outside, Batman." Joana says.

"I know, they're probably trying to enter the building from elsewhere. Predictable."

Batman looks in the direction of Ivy. She saw him pull out one of the metallic marbles he had used on her body earlier on. "Ivy, listen carefully, this was a prototype with a MUCH higher concentration of UV light than the ones used on you earlier. There's nowhere near enough GCPD officers in the building and with the militia's high weapon tech, they'll be slaughtered if soldiers get in the building while I'm outside fighting the tank drones. I'm trusting you Ivy, can you handle this?"

Ivy was screaming on the inside. Batman had verbally said that he trusted her. She saw the device in his hands awaiting an answer from her. "Yes, Batman, I can handle this, go wreck their pathetic toys."

And with that, he activated the device and put in Ivy's hands, she felt a strong surge of energy more powerful than anything she had felt before.

She quickly felt her strength returning to her body. The intimacy part of her mind lost all self-control.

"Officer Joana, look after Ivy and Barbara while I greet our guests."

"Yes sir." The proud officer replies, fully ready with his assault rifle.

And with that, Batman was now leaving the building to confront the militia and to destroy their tanks.

The previous activation of the UV marble emitted a UV light stronger than almost ANYTHING Ivy had been used to, and the warmth from it was stronger than anything she felt before.

The UV light warmth would get Ivy to imagine herself in a sauna with Batman, with the two of them having intense sex. Ivy despised herself for having such wild and intimate thoughts at a time like this.

Ivy's Mind:

Ivy was imagining herself in a sauna with Batman, with the two of them having intense sex.

"This is in case you need a little reminder of why they call me Ivy, Batman."

She sexily placed her hands on Batman's toned chest and shoulders. she continued with a huge smile, she had naughty intentions to satisfy HER Dark Knight.

A long series of sexual laughing and groaning followed by her stretching herself to show off her now visible well-toned breasts.

This truly an amazing feature on Ivy's body. She was truly incredibly gorgeous and sexy. She made all of Batman's other love interests look average compared to her.

Batman also was now flexing his own tightly muscled, rock hard physiques at Ivy. He now pulled a switch in the sauna to intensify the steam in the room to begin their first of many sessions together.

"Relax, you've had a busy day protecting Gotham from the big bad villains, and this is a perfect time for you to feeeel the touch of Ivy. This is nothing compared to what I have planned for you tonight honey."

"Good." Batman called out, as Ivy now placed a towel around her completely naked form, which did little to cover her tight, toned and tanned arms, shoulders, legs and the perfect amount of sexy cleavage. "I'll be back for you later." she softly cooed, as she grabbed hold of the vigilante and muscled her way up to meet him face to face, giving him one final loving kiss before his semi slumber.

Ivy's Mind, Later That Night:

Tonight was truly going to be the most unexpected, surprising and downright shocking night of the Batman's life , not to mention relaxingly sexual as well,

He knows that this weekend alone, with Ivy will be an adventure, a biologically romantic adventure...

This would turn into a night that would change the rest of their lives, forever.

Their plans to blow off some steam this weekend was the perfect opportunity for Ivy to show her man the surprise she had gotten for him.

"Mmmmmmm, good morning honey. How's my brooding man feeling?" softly whispered the sexy feminine voice of, Pamela Lillian Isley, as she snuggly, though very tightly, caressed his much larger form a few good morning squeezes.

Ivy's surprise, or at least the first part of it was that she was in very revealing green lingerie with Batman's iconic symbol on each part of it.

"Im fine, Ivy, but hon, that's a very interesting attire, what's the occasion?" Batman replied after re-gaining some much needed air back into his lungs, momentarily lost because of the natural attractiveness of his girlfriend.

"its nice to hear you call me baby without having to be influenced to do so" she cooed into his ears, as a wicked smile formed across her beautiful mature, green and youthful face. "I must say, I need your help, Batman. Tonight something bad is going to happen to me."

"Is someone after you? I'll hunt them down all night." Batman replied, as Ivy rubbed her amazingly toned chest all on his back, still holding her new man in a classic spooning position,

"Oh, they're innocent, sweetie. You don't need to worry about Crane, the bad thing that's going to happen to me is that you'll punish me like the naughty women I've been." Ivy concluded, giving Batman another body hugging squeeze.

This was followed by a few seconds of silence from both lovers. Ivy broke that silence. "What do you say you and I have ourselves a little shower together, detective?" Ivy asks in a flirty manner, winking in the process.

"There's still more work to be done in Gotham, Im not so sure Im ready to get up now." Batman flirted back at Ivy.

"Oh, is that so?" she jokingly spoke back, purposefully sounding like a damsel in distress. "You feel pretty UP and awake to me. Forget about Gotham for one night handsome, I need your...expertise In "biological exploration."

Ivy continued to talk in her sexy, powerful and beautiful voice as she began giving erotic massages to the love of her life. "Imagine how amazing it would feel to have investigate my smooth, sleek, glisteningly wet stomach showering, while the water just flows over both of our bodies. Imagine the wetness would make this night perfect...Besides Batman, I really wasnt asking, I'm demanding." slowly and steadily, Ivy made her way off of the bed, easily pulling The Dark Knight's 200 plus pound body with her, thanks to her powers.

She then carried her man on out of his shared bedroom, and proceeded to stroll down the hallways, albeit in a very revealing and suggestive manner and towards her previously discussed Location, in the shower.

In the shower, they kissed one another with raw passion that only could carry out.

The only thing they felt as they continued to have sex was the genuine emotion and wetness of the water drizzling down upon them...

In reality, the UV Light had only lasted about a minute, but in Ivy's mind, it seems to last forever. As the UV light faded, the rational side of Ivy reigned her schoolgirl intimacy side back in.

Joana was armed and ready with his rifle to shoot any opposing forces that threatened him and the girls.

Barbara was on standby on her computer with the schematics on the opposition outside, ready to aid Batman in a technological standpoint.

Feeling MUCH stronger than before thanks to Batman's treatment, Ivy knew she was ready to take the fight to the militia if Batman called on her to do so...
