So, this is a bit of a first for me. I have longed watch "Loud House" but never thoguht that I could write fanfic for it. however, in time I kept having ideas for fanfics (like this one) and just couldn't keep them in my head any longer.
I'm aware that the "Loud House" fandom is prone to rewriting certain episodes, usually the bad ones (you all know what I'm talking about) so this is nothing new. It's not even new for "kings of the Con" While I think the others are good… I don't like (but do respect) that they sometimes go super dramatic or take away the sisters winning the contest. I understand WHY though I mean they did NOT deserve to win but at the same time I don't think Lincoln and Clyde deserved to win either. So, I wanted to have a story that did not have any of them being unlikeable or mean.
At this point I would like to give an extra thanks to Jtom09 for being the one who really helped me get into the "Loud House" fandom in the first place
With that said Please read, review and leave a comment. Oh and:
Disclaimer I do not own the "Loud House" or any of its characters. They belong to Nickelodeon and Chris Savino. Also, any references to Heroes in "Marvel" or "DC" belong to their respective companies.
At this point I want to thank "Von the Unstoppable" for beta reading the first part of this.
I have the other four chapters ready to upload. will try to upldate about one a week.
Without any further ado
Chapter 1
Royal woods Michigan a small town located not too far from Detroit. In this town there was a certain household home to the Loud family and in the family there was a certain member of the family who had been waiting for this particular weekend for quite some time for this was the weekend of:
"Man, I can't believe the Ace Savvy convention is finally here!" Lincoln Loud said to his best friend Clyde McBride as over the computer video feed in his room in his house
Clyde smiled "I can't wait to go, especially since you had to miss last year's"
Lincoln's smile slightly faltered as he remembered the events of covering up for his little sister Lucy when she had clogged the toilet in an attempt to hide her love of the "princess pony" series in fear of being mocked by her 9 other sisters for it. Though he didn't regret taking the fall for her as he knew he could take the teasing far more readily then she could, it HAD resulted in him missing the Ace Savvy convention due to being grounded for doing so. The only good things that had come from it where that when his mother, Rita, retuned home she had set things straight as she was the one who bought the book for her goth 8-year-old daughter. The other was that his father had felt so guilty over wrongly punishing him for clogging the toilet that he promised the young boy that he could attend the next convention "no matter what."
Lincoln quickly shook his head to remove such thoughts
"Yeah well I'm getting to go to THIS one'"
Clyde balled his hands
"This is going to be so much fun! I can't wait to see all the booths, talk to the other fans, maybe buy some merchandise and do it all with you as Ace and me as One-Eyed Jack"
"Clyde, it's time for dinner" called Harold one of his dad's from downstairs
Clyde turned to the side and called down to himm "Coming dad." He turned to Lincoln "See you at the convention tomrrow!"
Lincoln's grin grew huge "You know I'll be there!"
The small picture on his laptop showing Clyde in his room blacked out as Clyde tuned signed out of the video chat the two had started. Lincoln signed out too and continued to smile as he looked around his room and stared at his Ace Savvy costume hung up on the inside of his room's door. He got out of his computer chair and walked over to it to examine it more closely. His older sister Leni had done a great job at creating it for him some years back and he had never failed to thank her for her hard work.
He thoguht
"This is so great! I am going to get to go and talk to other people who love ace savvy as much as I do!"
He couldn't help but be about to burst with growing excitement as he opened his bedroom door to the rest upstairs hall way. He looked around and walked down the stairs to the first floor of their house. He entered the living room to see all 10 of his sister watching "the Dream Boat" he joined them as the contestant (who name he did not know) was about to kick off one of her suiters form the boat.
The thin blond women in the green bikini smiled at the camera and said "I pick"
But before girls and Lincoln could hear her choice the tv was suddenly tuned off!
A choirs of groans, "No's!" and "Come Ons!" erupted from the kids who turned in unison to see who had turned off the tv
"Sorry kids."
Rita Said and she and her husband walked into the room "but your father and I need to have your attention for a moment."
Lola nervily gulped and point to her mother shouting
"I didn't eat all the cookies you made for the bake sale and besides Lynn helped me!"
Lynn glared at Lola
"You promised she wouldn't find out!"
Rita, puzzled merely held out her hands "That's….not what I want to talk about.."
Lola and Lynn breathed sigh of relief
"Right now."
The duo groaned.
Lori look at their mother "Is anything wrong?"
"No." Rita replied
"Are any of us in trouble?" asked Luna
Rita again replied "No."
"Then what is it?" Luan asked
Rita sighed "Your Aunt Ruth isn't feeling well and I think we should go help her out."
Lynn sir muttered under his breath "Despite my pleas." causing Rita to stare unimpressively at him.
More groans followed, if you asked any of the kids Aunt Ruth's house was one of the WORST places they could go, it smelled bad, the food was old and terrible, and she had FAR too many cats.
Rita "I know kids but she's still family and you.."
"Gotta take care of family." everyone finished her sentence.
Lincoln sighed and look down at the floor,
"Guess I won't be going to the convention after all. This stinks! why could they remember their promise!"
As if reading his thoughts his parents looked at him "Expect for you Lincoln we remember the promise we made. You can still go to the Ace Savvy convention."
Lincoln look up hardly believing his own ears.
"Really?" he said his voice almost breaking from sheer relief.
Lynn Sr. and Rita nodded.
Lincoln ran over to them and gave each a massive hug.
"Thanks, you two are the best parents a kid could ask for!"
This caused the two to smirk "You're welcome honey. As for you girls, we are going to leave for Aunt Ruth after we drop Lincoln off at the convention center. Ok?" she received no response.
"OK?" she asked more forcibly.
"Ok" the girls replied in a huff.
"Good, come on Lynn we need to go pick up some medicine for aunt Ruth."
Lynn tried to get out of going but a stare from his wife forced him to comply.
"We'll be back in an hour or so, Lori you're in charge till then." Rita told the kids as she and Lynn walked out the door.
"Fine" she answered still upset over being forced to go to her great aunt's.
There was no more talking from any of the kids until they heard Vanzilla drive off, the girls then glared at Lincoln.
"You're are so lucky." Lynn said.
"Yeah!" the others chorused together.
"You get to go to your stupid Ace Savvy convention while the rest us have to go Aunt Ruth's and look after her feet and all numerous Felis Silvestris Catus-street name cats!" Lisa added.
Lincoln not wanting to turn into an argument with all of his sisters just sighed and said,
"Look I'm sorry but it's NOT my fault mom and dad promised me that could go after I missed last years…and I think you all know why THAT happened!."
The girls, especially Lucy, looked down in shame. After Rita told them that who really owned the "princess pony" book they all had apologized to Lincoln for teasing him about for "owning" such a girly book. They still felt guilty over their treatment of him and it was this that caused them to accept their parents' choice to allow him to miss out on going to their aunt.
"Still, it's not fair." Lola pouted.
Lincoln looked at them sympathetically he KNEW how bad Aunit Ruths was but….what could he do? He definitely wasn't going to miss this convention just because his sisters didn't want go to his Aunt's house. He sighed
"I do feel bad for them, I mean they helped me and Clyde out that one time with that comic book contest that got us to meet Bill Buck…THAT'S IT!"
Lincoln grinded
"Hey why don't all of you come with me to the convention? Maybe you'll have fun."
The girls had doubtful look in the faces
"No offence Lincoln, but I don't think that we will have ANY fun at Dork Central" Lori said. The others agreeing with her.
Lincoln rolled his eyes "Come on, at least you should give it a chance, you all liked when we meet Bill Buck remember."
Lynn "Yeah and nothing happened from that."
"That's not true! Mine and Clyde comic book about you got published." replied Lincoln.
"Yeah but we didn't get famous!" Lola said
Lincoln groaned "So what! That doesn't mean you didn't enjoy trying to get him to make merchandise off of your queen of diamonds."
"We just don't think that we will get anything out going to the convention." Said Luan.
"You don't go to a convention to "get" something out of it, you go to a convention to have fun and connect with other fans." Lincoln replied.
"Lincoln I just don't think any of us are interested in going" Lori said
His other sisters all nodded In agreement.
Lincoln sighed "Ok I offered just remember when you're all at Aunt Ruth's tomorrow for the WHOLE DAY I tried to get you out of it!"
As he walked away he could help but smirk at his sister's faces which were showing that all of them were wondering if it would be better to take him up on his offer. He walked up the stairs turned around and counted down on his fingers.
"3…2…1" he thoguht.
He heard all of his sisters get up from the living room and come to the bottom of the stairs.
"Right on time"
"WAIT Lincoln!" they all said together.
"Yes?" Lincoln answered with an ear-to-ear smile.
"Ok you win…we will go to the convention with you" Lori told him
"Totes." Leni added
"It HAS to be better than Aunt Ruth's." said Luna
Lincoln smile grew as he KNEW that reminding them of how horrible Aunt Ruth's is would work.
"Ok guys you can come with me and Clyde but….I insist that you dress for the occasion."
Lana glared at him "What wrong with how we dress Mr. "I wear the same orange shirt every day!"
The others all chimed in agreement
Lincoln chuckled "Ohhhh nothing I guess figured that you would want to dress up so that you wouldn't be recognized if anybody who knows you was there."
The girls accepted his logic but there was a problem and it was Lynn who voiced it:
"One problem, we don't have anything else to wear."
Lincoln smirked
"Oh yes you do Leni I think it time we showed them what you've been working on."
Leni was confused for a few seconds but then gave a sheepish smile "Oh yeah I finished them a week ago."
"Finished what!?" the other sisters said together. Leni led them into her and Lori's room and opened her closet to reveal costumes based off of their Full House Gang characters.
"Linky asked me to make this about a little after he won that contest, he wanted them in case he ever need or wanted us to wear them for any reason." Leni said
"And that time is now!" Lincoln told them
The others were unsure if they want to go through with going to the convention, it was bad enough they would totally be bored there and NOW they had to wear costumes?
Lincoln could sense their doubt "Well you don't have to go but remember what the alternative is."
The girls quickly shouted in union "We'll wear them!"
"Awesome girls, trust me you won't regret this." he then went back into the hall and then this room
The girls look at each other "I really hope that's true." said Lola
