Somehow, I find myself reborn in the world of Harry Potter as a no-name orphan. You know what that means: pursuing magic's secrets and uncovering the most tantalizing of mysteries this world has to offer! Oh, Voldemort? Why should I care? SI OC. A slow-boil, realistic journey of a man rediscovering his path in a world of great magic— whether for good, or for evil.

While the world struggles with the return of Voldemort, Harry struggles with the death of Sirius and his own out of control magic. Before 6th year, he trains with the Order, grows close to Severus Snape, of all people, and learns of an unfathomable fate assigned to one Draco Malfoy, one he is determined to stop. The world is falling apart, but Harry's life finally comes together.

So this is a short dark Hermione fic. Each chapter will only be a few paragraphs at most but they really pack a punch. She has been betrayed. Who can she trust? Will she get justice?

After Voldemort is resurrected, Harry takes a more serious approach to his education and training so he can be better prepared for the next time they will inevitably meet. Dumbledore chooses not to ignore Harry in his 5th year, but instead decides to push up his planned training a year. Meanwhile a pretty Slytherin and Harry start running into one another and a friendship develops.

Ron's plan to get back together with Hermione backfires horribly, leading to a passion-filled night with Draco Malfoy and the consequences that follows.
