Saori didn't tell Seiya about her dream, simply because she knew he doesn't believe in that type of mumbo-jumbo. Still, that dream gave her the answers on her father's whereabouts and her relationship with Seiya.
And interestingly, some parts of her dreams did turn out to be facts.
For one, there actually was a real estate agent named Aphrodite. Saori had looked him up on her phone and found his profile picture looking exactly the same as the Aphrodite from her dream.
Then, actor Mackenyu was in the TV series One Piece.
She found Hypnos sitting in her living room, watching that show, completely obsessed with it.
"Wow, I didn't know Mackenyu is playing Zoro," Seiya pointed out and sat next to Hypnos. "He's my favorite actor."
"You know he played Scar in Fullmetal Alchemist ?" Hypnos said.
"Oh yeah," Seiya said. "Always the show stealer. I follow him on social media. This guy does his own stunt."
"Aren't you supposed to be working?" Saori asked Hypnos.
"It's done," Hypnos said, eyes still glued on the screen. "Case is wrapped."
"Then why are you still here?"
"I like One Piece ," Hypnos replied. "My twin brother and I used to share a Neflix account but we can't do it anymore because Neflix changed its policy." He then put One Piece on pause and said, "I shouldn't be telling you this, but take it as a gratitude for letting me watch my favorite show as a much needed break. Your stepmother Madame Guraad started her drug-ring business after her split with Alman Kido. She had a client list that she hid in her room in this mansion, which is why her right-hand man Cassius was snooping around. That list was destroyed because of the flood. We are able to get the list of her clients anyway from other sources. To our surprise, none of her clients are big name celebrities."
"What about my Dad?" Saori asked him.
"He has no involvement as far as we know," Hypnos said. "You are a good kid, Miss Kido. You have nothing to worry about."
"Thank you," Saori said gratefully.
Hypnos did not leave until he finished the entire 8 episode season. He and Seiya made comments here and there about how One Piece did it right for an anime live-action adaptation.
"You think Mackenyu would do a live-action of a Gundam series?" Saori asked. "I think he's perfect to play Heero Yuy."
"Let's not even go there!" Seiya and Hypnos said in unison.
After Hypnos left, Saori went to Seiya and the two embraced. In her heart, Saori knew that Seiya is more than just her bodyguard and silently accepted the fact that her father isn't coming back.
Indeed, Alman Kido didn't make it.
He and Tatsumi left together for Russia and their plane crashed in Siberia. Tatsumi somehow survived though that wasn't too surprising since he was a retired Navy SEAL. It broke Saori's heart to see him in his prosthetic legs. She ran to him and hugged him dearly.
"Tatsumi," she tried to hold back her tears.
Tatsumi hugged her back. "Miss Saori, there's someone I like you to meet. This is Hyoga, Mr. Kido's son."
It was then Saori noticed a young man with blond hair and blue eyes who came with Tatsumi. Without a word, he went straight to Saori as if he wanted to grab her. Seiya protectively stepped in front of Saori and his dark eyes looked right into Hyoga's icy blue eyes.
"I'm here to see my little sister," Hyoga said; his face was hard and stony.
"It's okay, Seiya," Saori said and stepped up to face Hyoga.
"Natasha is our mother," Hyoga said as he came closer to her. "And you look just like her."
He took Saori by the hand and almost dragged her into the Kido mansion.
"It's all right," Tatsumi assured Seiya. "He loves his mother."
In the kitchen, Hyoga opened the refrigerator and the freezer and took out everything from inside.
There was nothing more than yogurts, eggs, and skim milk.
"In Russia, when we have guests, we provide them all the food that we have on hand," Hyoga said. "Especially bread and salt."
"How did Dad find you?" Saori asked Hyoga.
"He didn't find me," Hyoga replied. "I found him, or rather, I found you. I read your novel, The Spartan Queen ."
Saori was speechless.
"Mama used to tell me stories before I go to sleep. When I read your book, it reminds me so much of Mama. With my foster father's help, I was able to locate you. I hated Alman Kido for abandoning me and Mama, but I forgave him after knowing that he took you in. I asked him to bring you to Siberia so that we can reunite and be a family again. But Alman Kido did not bring you."
"Maybe he wants you to come here," Saori said. "To live a better life."
"My foster father is a wealthy man himself," Hyoga said. "He owns vast of land in Siberia, only that we don't live such a luxurious life. My foster father taught me many things. When we fall ill, we act as our own doctors. When we encounter conflicts, we act as our own lawyers. Siberia is our home, little sister. I'm here to take you home."
"Saori–" Seiya began.
"Sasha," Hyoga corrected him. "Her name is Sasha."
"I don't know about going to Siberia," Saori said. "That's too big of a change."
"That's what Mama would've wanted," Hyoga insisted. "Since the day she had you she taught me that as your older brother I must be your protector. I will never forget that fateful day when I lost you and Mama. We were on a cruise ship, and there was a fire. Mama sacrificed herself to assure that we are safe. I will stay here until you change your mind."
He eyed Seiya coolly.
Tatsumi helped Hyoga settle in a room that was quite far from Saori's. Despite not exchanging a single word, Tatsumi and Seiya started off on the right foot.
Both thought Hyoga is an oddball at the very least.
When it was late, Seiya approached Saori's room.
And he could hear her talking.
Initially he thought she was talking to Hyoga, but by her tone, he guessed that she was probably talking to Aiolus. As of now, he no longer saw Aiolus as a competitor or a rival, or rather, Aiolus would be the least of his problems.
He did not go into her room until she was done talking to Aiolus.
"Aiolus' younger brother is getting married," Saori explained to him. "He asked if he could use this mansion for the wedding. In exchange, he offered to pay for the final repair of the house."
Seiya almost forgot that part of the house was still damaged from the flood.
"You are not going to Siberia, are you?" Seiya asked her.
"I don't want to," Saori told him honestly. "I grew up here and Siberia is a completely different world." She paused and then said, "Hyoga is…different but he meant well. He wants to protect me and make up the time we lost. Blood is thicker than water."
"I don't like where this is going," Seiya admitted. "But family is family."
"You think it'll work out for me in Siberia?"
"How hard could it be?" Seiya said sarcastically. "All you need to learn is how to survive absolute zero, speak Russian, and walk on ice. With your bad luck, what could go wrong?"
"Seiya–"
Before she could finish, both she and Seiya saw a person falling from above through the window, followed by a loud splash. Looking out, they saw that it was Hyoga, climbing out of the pool.
Apparently, he had jumped into the pool from his room if not from the rooftop.
Under the moonlight, Saori could see that he was not wearing anything – at all.
Quickly, Seiya turned Saori away from the window and said sternly, "You stay right here. You are not going to Siberia with him. Understood?"
"Yeah," Saori stuttered.
First an abusive stepmother; then a disappeared father; after that there was Cassius, the house flood, and FBI.
Now a weirdo brother who wants to take her to Siberia.
Talk about bad luck!
