Bakugo launched himself into 1-B with his quirk; he was airborne when a young man with messy gray hair and thick eyelashes ran up like he was jumping. Bakugo fired off a blast as the boy leaped at him. Through the smoke, the boy emerged but was now shining as if made of metal; he barreled into Bakugo, spearing him from the sky.
Denki and Mezo moved to intercept as two members of 1-B pealed from the attack group and ran towards Bakugo; the first was very tall, over 6ft.

"That isn't good," Aizawa interrupts Mic's play-by-play.

"Divine Right's friendship with Mei Hatsume and Melissa Shield appears to be paying dividends. The support gear has benefited them greatly," Aizawa said. Unlike the Thunder Lizards, who Support course addition and have chosen to engage in one-on-one combat with Mei Hatsume to showcase her genius, Mei has done the same and showed how she could help other heroes with mobility issues, nonlethal restraints, and defense."
"YOU HEARD IT FOLKS, LISTEN TO ERASER HEAD JUST GUSH!"

"Damn quirkless BITCH," Bakugo spits out. "Just because you are all on that freak Izuku's dick doesn't mean you deserve a place in the hero course."
"Aw, what's the matter," Melissa replied, mocking. Are you jealous that not only did Izuku get a girlfriend before you, but the ladies are beating down the door to see if they can get a piece?"
"I DON'T GIVE A FUCK WHAT PATHETIC BITCHES HE HAS CHASING HIM!" Bakugo roars. "THIS IS WHERE YOU END; THERE IS NO WAY A USELES QUIRKLESS BITCH LIKE YOU CAN EVEN DARE TO BE A HERO. I AM GOING TO TEACH YOU YOUR PLACE!" Bakugo sprang forward with a right hook. Melissa barely managed to dodge, but his follow-up left-handed open-palm explosion sent her flying back.
Momo created a metal tower shield from her back, tearing her uniform as it knocked Mineta free. He narrowly managed to dive free to avoid being crushed. He looked up with a devilish grin, seeing Momo's exposed back; with a look very unbefitting of a hero, he dived for the heiress who had fallen to her knees, holding her uniform in place.
Ochaco came out of nowhere with a knee to Mineta's face; a sickening crack was heard as they launched in the other direction. He tumbled wildly but got to his feet, "I WILL NOT BE DENIED MY SLICE OF HEAVEN!" he yelled, his eyes fixed now on Ochaco's buxom frame. Ochaco dived over the top of his grab and tagged him on his back. As she rolled to a crouch, she couldn't help the look of disgust she gave the little man. He crashed hard into the ground, his gravity increasing. Kyoka ran up and jammed her jacks near his ears and unleashed her heartbeat, sending him into unconsciousness. Ochaco released her quirk and fell to the ground, holding her head.
Bakugo propelled himself airborne again, hoping to land a devastating knee to Melissa. Melissa's eyes came into focus as he was descending. Her hand flew out as the nanobots raced out to intercept her attacker. The sudden halt and redirection of his momentum drove the air right out of Bakugo as he was pushed higher into the air. Desperately, he grabbed the spike, pushed him, and blasted it, forcing it to explode.
Daia and Hitoshi are still trading blows, but Daia is in the lead. Hitoshi tries to raise his arms to defend himself when he suddenly sees Daia grab his neck and yank back. Hitoshi scrambles free as he witnesses Daia getting choked out. "Toru?" he asks hesitantly.
He knows he is right when he sees Daia get shifted off to the side. "Yeah, it's me," she calls out. They both look up at the sound of the explosion, seeing Bakugo begin his free fall.
Bakugo growls as he goes to fire his blast in front of him to slow his momentum, when suddenly both his arms are wrapped by two golden tails. Before he can fire off his blasts, they are yanked forcibly behind his back, earning a yell of pain. The crowd watches as Melissa's tails yank Bakugo to the ground, slamming him hard before lifting him and doing so again. Bakugo tries to say something as she drags him face first, filling his mouth with dirt.
Denki rushes Melissa, but before he can activate his quirk, he is tripped up and wrapped up by an insulated blanket courtesy of Momo. Mina, Hitoshi, and Toru descend on him with a flurry of punches and kicks, eventually knocking him out.
Dark Shadow rises over the battlefield, ready to descend upon everyone; Fumi desperately tries to reign in his partner. Bakugo, severely dazed, is yanked forward again; the last thing he sees is Melissa's fist wrapped in white coming towards him.
"COME TO ME LITTLE FOX!" Dark Shadow roars as his massive fist comes hurtling toward Melissa. She reaches back, and a spear of light forms up from her hand, to the crowd's delight. It flies forth, piercing through Dark Shadow, who yells in pain, as does Fumi. But thankfully, it allows Fumi to pull Dark Shadow back as he falls onto his hands and knees, grimacing in pain.
Melissa stumbles as the cloud under her feet wavers. She looks and sees Momo still holding her uniform in place. Quickly, she creates a dome over her friend, allowing her to fix her clothing.
-Tenya & Mezo-
They stealthily make their way through the forest toward the fort of the Mighty Thunder Lizards. Seeing that most castles have little to no defense, Shoto encourages his two teammates to see if they can increase their point total.
"I only see two of them," Mezo reports, "I don't know who they are though."
Tenya pushes up his glasses as he peaks out from behind cover. "Can you describe them?" He listens as Mezo does just that. "Ibarra Shiozaki and Juzo Honenuki," he responds.
"Did you memorize the team compositions?" Mezo replies, somewhat stunned.
"Yes," Tenya says, rubbing his chin, "What can I extrapolate? Ibarra's quirk has something to do with her hair; I am guessing those vines on her head extend and can be used as bindings. Their captain, Neito, displayed different quirks, but they appeared to be those of his teammates, so he must be able to copy them somehow. Since none of the others he displayed had the ground-softening effect he used in his initial attack, I hypothesize that he used Juzo's quirk."
"That sounds reasonable," Mezo responded. "That softening could be a real problem for both of us. Neither of us fly or float."
"if he can only soften the ground, then we may be able to use or quirk assessment test to our advantage," Tenya smiled. "I will make a frontal assault and attempt to long jump past their softening field and make my way towards their flag; you come in from the side and see if you can do so from outside the castle."
"I always wanted to scale a castle and steal a flag," Mezo said, a twinkle in his eyes.
"What an odd thing to want to do?" Tenya said, utterly deadpan.
"It was a joke?" Mezo said, and as soon as he said it, he saw Tenya's corners twitch into a smile. "Give me two minutes, and then launch your attack." Mezo shook his head and moved off.
Tenya broke cover, racing towards the castle; Juzo emerged from inside, placing his hand on the ground. Tenye leaped, narrowly avoiding the attack, and Juzo dived to the side to avoid being crushed. He approached his feet quickly; Tenya greeted him with a pump kick, sending him sprawling. Tenya whirled and raced into the castle.
Ibarra took position at the top of the stairs, her vines racing into the castle, hoping to trap the intruder. Tenya kicked off the wall as a vine raced past him. He dove to the side, narrowly escaping the second, but the third snagged his arm, yanking him down the stairs. "Got you!" Ibarra called out. Ibarra didn't want to be here defending Neito's castle; she wanted to be with Setsuna's team, but she had already given her word to Neito and would honor it.
Juzo sprinted back inside to see Tenya collapse in a heap of vines at the foot of the stairs. "Pull your vines back!" he yelled. Tenya, dazed, tried to get his bearings. He turned to run, only for his foot to sink into the ground, and the other soon followed. He engaged his quirk to try and pull himself free, but the softened stone floor suddenly became solid, causing him to fall forward. He kept his head from hitting the floor by using his hands to brace himself; the process quickly repeated, and he was now completely trapped.
Juzo reached down and snatched his armband. "Thank you for your donation," he replied, walking away toward the treasury.
Ibara came down the stairs. Seeing the intruder trapped, she said, "Great job Juzo!"
"IN A STUNNING TURN OF EVENTS, TEAM DOMINATION'S FLAG HAS BEEN TAKEN!" Juzo and Ibarra froze, "SO HAS THE THUNDER LIZARD'S OH ME OH MY!"
-Control Booth-
"Does anyone have any idea who took the Thunder Lizards Flag? Their turrets didn't even go off? Or the traps?" Midnight radioed in.
"It was that kid from the Future Heroes!" Snipe radioed back.
"Who?" Cementos asked. "All the boys are knocked out; only the girls are defending the base."
"What are we talking about?" Midnight said, confused.
"I don't know, I forgot," Snipe replied.
-Thunder Lizards-
"Set?" Hiryu said, panicking.
"We will have to deal with that later. Only one person is defending that base. We can't fail this time; their points are enough to get us in," Setsuna said to her team. We cannot fail. Besides, Domination's flag is heading right for us, theirs, and this one. We got second place locked up."
"Sorry guys, I failed to get the drop on Izuku, and my shrooms failed to keep our flag safe," Kinoko said, sounding a bit crestfallen.
"And our assault against their castle ended in utter defeat," Set replied. Hey, stuff happens, crew. We need to adapt and overcome. We need to get points so that we will do that!"
The group cautiously approached Shoto and the flag, carrying all they needed to secure second place.
-Armored Scientists-
Washu tumbled to the side as the energy sword came slicing through the air. She rolled to crouch and brought her minigun to bear. She watched the barrel spin as the rubber bullets fired forth. One of Mei's robotic arms pushed her to the side while another took up the shield, which expanded in size, blocking the hail of gunfire.
The crowd cheered at all the action around the arena; Mei shouted a command as two energy rifles sprung from the black box on her back. One landed in her hand, the other in one of the robotic arms, returning fire.
Washu raised her shield. When she heard the thunk, she knew something was wrong. A dozen electronics discharged, short-circuiting part of her system. Washu attached some sticky grenades and threw the shield in Mei's direction. The grenades exploded in midair, filling the area with tear gas and smoke.
Washu set her armor to sentry mode as she focused on rerouting around the short-circuited areas; sweat beaded off her brow as the gun began to fire. She looked up as Mei flew out of the smoke, leaping towards her. Her suit sprang to life; the minigun shifted to a shoulder position as she caught two of Mei's robotic arms. She tried to push the girl back, but the two other arms held Mei steady; Washu's fatal flow of an open cockpit was exposed when Mei, still holding the energy sword, brought it swinging down towards her exo suit.
Washu panicked, releasing her hands. She grabbed Mei's arm in a desperate attempt to stop the blow. Mei saw the Mini-Gun rotate down to fire at her point blank; she sent the mental command, the two arms holding her from getting pushed back released and forcing Washu's armor to stumble forward; one of Meis's arms snaked up and forced the Mini-Gun up the other grabbed the front leg of Washu's armor and yanked it forward twisting them so Mei was on top.
Washu tried to issue a command, but a solid punch to the stomach knocked all her air out of her; she didn't expect to defend this way from Mei. Washu's grip on the energy sword broke when another punch landed on her rib cage, making her attempt to yell in pain. The sword came slicing down, hacking off one of Washu's suit's arms; once that happened, Mei's captured tentacle was free to join the fight; it tore the other arm from the suit. Washu managed to punch Mei in the face, but it was too late. Her harness was ripped off, and Mei grabbed her and yanked her out of her armor, sending them tumbling across the ground. Washu stumbled to her feet; Mei smiled, raised her rifle, and fired. Washu felt the impact against her, sending her down; the binding fired, securing her in place.
"I win!" Mei yelled. Washu grumbled in defeat but was smiling.
-Izuku-
"Well, hello, who are you?"
Tim froze; someone had noticed him. It is okay if I stand still. He will forget, and I can get their flag.
Izuku blinked as the guy stood still as if Izuku were a T-Rex, and his vision was based on movement. "I said hello. Who are you?"
FUCK! "Some call me Tim," he said, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, Tim, it is nice to meet you," Izuku replied. "Now, if you have the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, I would be most impressed."
Tim smiled, "So I guess my quirk isn't working?"
"No, actually, it worked well, scary well," Izuku replied. I didn't even notice you cross the perimeter or enter the castle. It wasn't till I saw you that I realized you were here. So, if I close my eyes and open them again, will I forget you are here?"
"If you stop focusing on me, then probably," Tim replied. "That is how it works; people forget about me unless I call their attention. It is called Imperceptibility. I cannot be perceived or remembered by pretty much everybody except my mom," Tim smiled fondly. "She always remembers me but can't forget anything; that is her quirk."
"That is amazing but terrible," Izuku nodded, Tim could only shrug. "So, do people forget you exist?"
"All the time," he replied, "It sucks, can't make friends, not really.
Izuku closed his eyes, and he could feel it slipping away; if it wasn't for his cosmic sense, he knew he would forget about Tim. He opened his eyes, "You're right. I could feel it start to slip away."
"But you still remember me?" Tim said curiously. "Hold on a second." Tim walked back downstairs and then back up.
"Sup Tim," Izuku responded with a smile.
"Well, I guess stealing your flag is out of the question?"
"Yeah, sorry, man, I can't allow that," Izuku smirked, "But I won't toss you out or anything if you leave peacefully."
"This is going to sound weird," Tim responded nervously. "IF you remember me after this, do you want to hang out?"
"I would love to, Tim," Izuku smiled; Tim could only smile in response as he turned to walk away. But Tim, I will need the Thunder Lizards flag you stole before you go." Tim froze, flashing Izuku a sheepish grin. I will take it if you like," Izuku raised an eyebrow. Tim sighed and pulled the flag out. Izuku pulled it to him. Thanks, Tim."
"Yeah, no problem," he sighed as he descended the stairs. "But don't hurt the girls at my base if you are going to take our flag as well, we don't believe Mineta's bullshit." Izuku nodded, extending his hand, and the flag on top of the Future Heroes base ripped free and flew to his hand.
"WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT, FOLKS? IZUKU MIDORIYA HAS ADDED TWO TEAM FLAGS TO HIS TREASURE ROOM!" Present Mic called out. "I AM BEGINNING TO THINK THAT THIS IS JUST NOT FAIR!"
-Nowhere near the fighting-
Yuga yells as Koji catches up to him, delivering shoulder blocks that knock him into a tree. The French man regains his sense to dodge a right hook and fires his Navel Laser, striking Koji in the stomach. It lifts him and sends him crashing back.
"You do not understand," Yuga cries out.
Koji gets to his feet, "I understand; I know what you did!" He rushes Yuga again, another laser shot. Yuga's eyes widen as the Koji nimbly side-steps it before punching Yuga in the face. The French man staggers back, blood flying from his mouth.
"You fed them information about us," Koji comes in with a wild swing, and Yuga ducks under. He lands a knee on Koji's stomach, then another and another. He raises his hands high above his head, clasping them tight, and brings them down in an axehandle smash. It drives Koji to the ground; he turns to run, but Koji's hand snakes out and trips him.
Yuga claws at the ground to escape, but Koji recovers faster. Koji grabs Yuga and drags him back to himself. Another laser blast hits Koji, and he falls back. "He threatened my parents!"
Koji stumbles, "Why didn't you ask for help? We have freaking All-Might as a teacher!"
"I couldn't?" Yuga cries out desperately.
"Yes, you could have!" Koji tackles him to the ground, "So you put the rest of us in danger? We are sacrificed on the altar instead!"
Yuga tries to answer back, but a hard right cuts him off, and his head jerks to the side from the blow. He tries to fire his navel laser again, but Koji is expecting it and dives away. "I know why your stomach hurts!" Yuga stops, but Koji doesn't; he punches Yuga in the ribs. "We would have tried to help you; we are supposed to be heroes, damnit! Sato nearly died trying to save you!"
"I KNOW," Yuga screams, tears falling. "I KNOW, A LOT OF YOU ALMOST DIED BECAUSE OF ME! MY PARENTS NEEDED ME TO HAVE A QUIRK BECAUSE I NEEDED TO HAVE A QUIRK. I KNOW I SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR HELP; I KNOW I SHOULDN'T HAVE BETRAYED YOU ALL, BUT I WAS SCARED.!" Yuga falls to his knees.
Koji stomps over to him; Yuga looks up at him, but he makes no move to defend himself. But no blows fall; Koji drops to his knees before Yuga and hugs him. All of Yuga's anguish, guilt, and pain flood out as Koji holds him. "I am going to get you help," he hears Koji tell him. I know someone who will make it all right; I know they can."
"Who?" Yuga manages in between sobs.
"Someone else with a secret," is all Koji says.
-The Battle at the Castle-
Shoto saw them burst from the trees, from the front and sides of their castle: Setsuna, Pony, and Hiryu from the front; Manga, Niren from the left; and Reiko, Yui, and Kinoko from the right.
He stomped his foot, sending Ice rocketing down through the castle, sealing it off. He dove for cover as boulders came flying, crashing into the side of the castle and rocking it. Remember what he saw at the Izuku counter? He threw fire into the air, seeing some spores ignite. He scrambled out of the way, narrowly avoiding a horn strike from a flying Pony courtesy of Setsuna. Pony dropped atop the castle, rolled to her feet, and charged at him.
Shoto raced to engage; he spun towards her, fire whipping around his body, making her tumble to the side; as he landed, he grabbed the flag pole, placing it in ice, trapping one of Setsuna's hands. Pony regained her balance and dropkicked him in the back, sending him sprawling face-first. A floating leg kicked him in the ribs as he struggled to his feet. Pony came in with a clothesline attempt; he ducked under and threw her off the top of the castle using the girl's momentum. He heard Set yell her teammate's name; he turned and located her head in the sky; he sent off a fireball, forcing Set to retreat.
Shoto created an ice dome, hoping to encase the top of the castle, only to see a giant word bubble appear over it. "CRACK," it read; he watched as the dome did just that. When pieces started to glow and fall towards him, he braced as he let loose as powerful a jet of fire as he could. The supercooled air collided with the sudden heat, and KABOOM, the entire arena, went quiet. Before the crowd erupted, Shoto couldn't tell because his ears were ringing; when the explosion went off, he was thrown back into part of the battlement. Not only was he deafened from the blast, but he couldn't focus to see appropriately. As his vision came back, he saw a girl bleeding from the head stumble over and tag the flagpole; he watched as it shrank; in mid-air, he saw it glow and go sailing off over the edge.
"NO!" he yelled, stumbling after it, the girl's shoulder-length, bob-shaped hair, side-swept to her right, with shorter strands hanging above her eyes. Blood flowed down her face, marring her fair skin, athletic build, and cerulean eyes. He could see their determination and passion radiating as she stumbled towards him and landed a right on his face. He fell against the parapet, blocked her follow-up left, countered with a right to her jaw, snapping his head back, left to the body, and rocked her back.
She countered with a front leg kick, sending him down to one knee; she pushed forward with a knee strike, and he barely managed to move his head to the side, avoiding the blow. He grabs ahold of her and takes her to the ground; he quickly lands an elbow on the side of her head, knocking her out. He noticed she was smiling; he stumbled to the side to see a girl with pale gray hair stumbling toward the forest. He tries to call on his quirk, but his head is screaming at him, making it impossible. She is almost away when she is pretty latterly speared out of her shoes by Mezo.
He can faintly hear the crowd cheer; Reiko's head bounces off the ground, knocking her out. He scrambles to grab the miniature flagpole. He starts racing towards the castle when suddenly enormous mushrooms spring from the ground and explode, sending him cartwheeling through the air. As he lands in a heap, Hiryu and Niren descend, trying to wrest the pole from his possession. Hiryu spins at a yell emerging from the forest; he fires his quirk to no effect as Ejiro weakens and, fueled by adrenaline, comes barreling out. Mezo's multiple hands are clasped around the flag pole as he curls into a ball.
Niren activates his quirk, Double Impact, as all his previous strikes trigger again, but Mezo does not falter. Ejiro closes the distance and tackles Hiryu to the ground; Denki, who uses Ejiro as cover, is hot on his heels and goes after Niren. Kinoko runs in with a spinning kick, sending Denki sprawling, a tiny mushroom sprouting all over Mezo; like a zombie, he uncurls and releases the flag.
Her victory is short-lived as she hears Set call out to her; Kinko spins and sees not her friend but Hitoshi. It is now her turn to be a zombie as he forfeits the flag to him; he turns to run only for the real Setsuna to descend upon him on a tornado of limbs; she snatches the flag and spirals into the air. Too late, she realizes that floating orbs are triangulated around her; Kyoka lets loose her sonic attack, and Set tumbles from the sky. Momo and Ochaco come racing out with a floating net to save the girl from crashing too hard and to bind her.
"KABOOM" falls from the sky in the chaos, sending everyone flying away. Kinoko, free from Hitoshi's control, looks around desperately, spotting the flag simultaneously with Mina. The two girls race towards their goal. Manga prepares another attack, only to be tackled to the ground by Tsu. Itsuka comes out of nowhere with a diving swipe and takes Kinoko's legs out from under her; Kinoko tumbles mushrooms trailing behind her, a green gas erupts, and Itsuka stumbles out of the gas, vomiting. She spies the flagpole as Mina picks it up; she goes to move and freezes as she sees Acid come out of Mina's hands, destroying the flag.

Miro watched the chaos of the second event of the First Year Sports Festival. He loudly cheered 1-B's assault upon Izuku, and it died in his throat at Izuku's display of power. He watched from his vantage point of All-Might's VIP box as the heroes below immediately went to their phones, sending out internship offers. He saw so many doing so that it made him sick.
He watched how casually he stole two teams' flags, adding them to their total. He didn't need to do that! He is just piling on now, that despicable piece of shit. He is just humiliating them.
Miro seethed, but then he saw the fight at the center, the way the other members rallied around Melissa. He was memorized watching her go in her majestic kitsune garb. The engineering and intelligence she would have required to design and create such a complex system were breathtaking. The woman herself was breathtaking.
He just needed to help her see the light. Once she did, she and Nejire would finally understand.
"She is quite the woman to behold, is she not?" All-Might said after seeing the look on his protégé's face.
"She is, sir," Mirio responded instantly. I hope she makes it into the hero course. She has the potential to change so many hearts and minds. She can be a real inspiration to the masses."
"My thoughts exactly," All-Might agreed. "She is a bit lost right now, but maybe the right person could show her the way…"
"Should you require any assistance with training during their Heroic Class, sir? I would be honored," Miro said, smiling at his mentor.
"I knew I could count on you," All-Might said with a smile.
"TIME!" Midnight called out. "Divine Right and The Future Winners advance! But let's give them all a huge round of applause for leaving it all out on the field today. We will have a one-hour break while we get the arena set up for our third and final round and allow our contestants to rest up for the tournament to crown this year's winner of the U.A.'s First Years Sports Festival!"

"You see that YuYu, my special Kohei, did so good," she said calmly, sitting in her seat. "He showed up and showed out without even leaving his base. I can't wait to do all sorts of naughty things with him and his girlfriends. All night baby, all freaking night!"
"Cool, cool, cool, cool," Yuyu responded. "Hey Nej, can you feel your face?"
"NOPE!" Nejire responded, starting to giggle. For some reason, YuYu began giggling, and before they knew it, they both couldn't stop laughing. "Maybe he needs another good luck kiss?"
"But if you can't feel your face, then you won't be able to feel his kiss," YuYu countered.
"You're right!" Nejire said with a pout.
-Unknown Location-
"I can see now how he was able to destroy the high-end," a voice said amid the whirl of machines surrounding him. I find this exciting, doctor."
"Yes, master," a short man in a lab coat responded, his bushy beard twitching. "I have pulled his information as you requested, and it appears I was correct we did collect Decay from this young man."
"Then why does he have a new quirk then" the man snarled.
"I do not know master, it appears his quirk registry was updated after he had some sort of accident," the doctor said.
"Dr. Garaki, you and I both know that the only person who can change such a person's quirk status is ME!" the man growled in annoyance. "Instruct our mole to discover everything they can about this Izuku Midoriya; get close to him. I want to know what he holds dear so we may use it against him."
"Of course, sir," Dr. Garaki bowed.
"I want you to create a few Nomu's that are resistant to him," the man said, leaning back in his chair with annoyance on his scarred face. His entire head and neck were covered in scar tissue, leaving no visible features except for the outlines of his eye sockets. He leaned back in his oversized chair, her black suit as always immaculate as the data from the screen fed into his brain.
"As you command All for One, it shall be done," Dr. Garaki smiled, his blue eyes shining. "What of this quirkless girl?"
"Leave her be for now. I had wondered if this girl would have been that oaf's successor, but that is not the case; we need to track down whom he may have passed One for All to, if any," All For One said before he paused, lost in thought. "I have changed my mind; I want her brought to me; she can be of great use to us. She and Izuku Midoriya seem close; I will instruct Tomura to bring her to us."
"Very well," Dr. Garaki said as he bowed and set about bringing his master's desires to fruition.
