A Grand Prix Of Mega Proportions
When we last left our heroes, they stopped in the not so known HopHopHop Town, where Misty hoped to compete in the Water Tournament. It turned out they were 10 years too late, but Misty caught a new Pokemon; Psyduck. Though they were stopped when they noticed a human-like Pokemon with boxing glove like hands running down the road they were on, punching the air as if to train.
Brock: Look at that, it's a wild Hitmonchan!
Ash: *takes out Pokedex* I heard these things are pretty hard to find in the wild.
Pokedex: Hitmonchan, the Punching Pokémon. A Fighting type. This Pokémon has an indomitable spirit and will never give up in the face of adversity. When Hitmonchan twists its arm while throwing a punch, the blow will pulverize even concrete.
Green: Maybe we could see if he'd wanna battle.
Ash: Maybe. *to Cobalt* Cobalt, how would you like to battle?
Cobalt: Me? Why?
Ash: It'd be great practice for the Fuschia Gym. Plus, it's another Fighting type. You'll need to fight other Fighting Pokemon in order to be the strongest Pokemon in the world, right?
Cobalt: Right.
Ash: So, let's try it out.
Nodding, Ash and Cobalt approached the Hitmonchan, who was still punching the air to practice. However, unknown to them, they were being watched by someone behind the nearby tree.
Cobalt: Uh, excuse me. Would you mind if-
The Pokemon almost punched Cobalt, the Lucario screaming as the Hitmonchan reeled his fist back, speaking in a Brooklyn accent.
Hitmonchan: Woah 'ay, sorry kid. Didn;t see you there.
Cobalt: It's… It's okay. I was just curious if you wouldn't mind having a battle.
Hitmonchan: A battle? Wait… How do I know your trainer isn;t trying to just catch me? It won;t work, just saying.
Ash: I'm not planning to catch you, Hitmonchan. I just want to train Cobalt for my gym battle.
Hitmonchan: ….Did you understand me or did you just assume what I said?
Ash: I can understand you. So, do you accept?
Hitmonchan: Hmmm….. *shrugs* Alright, sure. Why not?
Chuckling, Yami pulled a boxing ring bell out of nowhere, hitting it and making a ring, starting the battle between Coalt and Hitmonchan. The boxer lunged at Cobalt with a Mach Punch, which he dodged before throwing a punch at Hitmonchan.
Green: Yeah, bro! You got this! Give him hell!
The two exchanged punch after jab with one another before Hitmonchan reeled back to hit him with Dynamic Punch.
Misty: Look out, that's Dynamic Punch!
Ash: Cobalt, counter with Force Palm!
Cobalt reeled his arm back for a Force Palm, only to spawn an idea. With a smirk, Cobalt started charging an Aura Sphere in his reeled back paw. As he brought it forth, his Force Palm hit the Aura Sphere, sending it rocketing towards the Hitmonchan, hitting him in the chest and sending him to the ground.
The Lucario panted as he stood in place, taking the time to see his trainer and friends looking at him in shock and surprise, even the Hitmonchan as he got up.
Cobalt: ….What?
Hitmonchan: "What"? "What"?! That move you did, kid….. It was incredible!
Cobalt: *blushes* R-Really?
Ash: Yeah, Cobalt. That was awesome! I've always wanted to try out more combo moves in battle. How'd you come up with that?
Cobalt: I 'unno. I just… Did what felt right. I thought if I used Force Palm on a charging Aura Sphere, I could supercharge it and give it more speed and power.
Hitmonchan: You…. *incredulously* You made that up?! On the spot, just like that?!
Cobalt: Yeah.
?: How many times do I have to tell you, don't drop your guard.
The group looked over to see a muscular man with a red rag hanging around his neck.
Hitmonchan: Anthony.
Man: Keep your gloves up, Butkus, cause fighting smart hurts less than fighting stupid.
Azula: Huh. I guess he isn;t wild.
Ash: Excuse me, Sir. Is this your Hitmonchan?
Man: Got that right, kid. Name's Anthony *puts hand on Hotmonchan's shoulder* and dis here is my partner, Butkus.
Butkus: We were training for the P1 Grand Prix, *nervous* and I kinda got carried away and outran him. (pronounces 'prix' with a short 'i' and the 'x')
Green: You're a grand prick.
Azula: I think it's pronounced "grand prix". (pronounces it correctly)
Green: *ignoring Azula* You're a grand prick.
Anthony: I saw how your Pokemon pulled off that move and beat down my Hitmonchan. *smiles* Not bad, kid. Must be one hell of a firecracker.
Ash: Well, of course. *scratches Cobalt's head* Cobalt's one of my starters… Sorry if we broke your win streak.
Anthony: Don;t be. This just proves we'll need to train harder and get stronger, right partner?
Butkus: Got that right.
?: Daddy!
Just then, a girl around Brock's age came out from behind the tree near them, standing in between Ash and Anthony.
Anthony: *surprised* Rebecca?
Rebecca: Daddy, please. *begging* Come home.
Anthony: Sorry, sweetheart. But I ain't coming home until I become the P1 Grand Prix champion.
Green: You're a grand prick.
Rebecca: Daddy.
Anthony: I'll be in the gym taking on challengers. *points out* Gym's that way. I'll be waiting for you.
But before the girl could speak up again, Anthony and Butkus jogged off, leaving Rebecca to sigh and look on longingly…. However, Brock just had to go into simp mode and approach the girl like always.
Brock: Can I be of help to you, young lady?
Misty: How long were you-
Rebecca: I was behind the tree the whole time.
Ash: *nervous* So…. You heard when I said I could…
As Rebecca nodded, Brock stopped his crusade; realizing the severity of the situation. Ash had told Butkus he could talk to Pokmon just earlier… And Rebecca had been hiding out and had listened in.
Rebecca: I'm not gonna tell anyone, if that's what you all are thinking. Sorry for scaring you like that, and I apologize for my father bothering you.
Brock: *sighs* That's a relief. And no problem
Rebecca: But can I ask a favor of you Pokemon trainers? A really, really big one?
Ash: Sure, what do you need?
Rebecca: Thank you. Please, I want you to defeat my father's Hitmonchan.
Ash and Misty looked in confusion at the request, all the while Brock regained his blush and held her hand.
Brock: We'll be happy to help.
Misty: *annoyed* Of course we would…

The heroes then made their way to an old gas station, where a sign hing on the side reading "Fighting Spirit Gym". Inside, the room was littered with exercise equipment and a poster of two Pokemon fighting and "P1" hung on the wall.
Ash: This doesn;t look like a normal Pokemon gym.
Cobalt: Looks more like AJ's gym.
Brock: *motions to poster* I heard your father talking about this. What's the P1 Grand Prix?
Green: You're a grand prick.
Rebecca: P1 is short for "Pokemon Number 1". It's a tournament for Fighting types, usually owned by trainers who were professional fighters. Because my father is a retired boxer and wants to win the P1, he's training day and night and ignoring Mom and me.
Misty: So if we win the P1, your dad will snap out of it and go home.
Rebecca: Right.
Ash: But why me?
Rebecca: Because I saw your battle with Butkus. Your Lucario is really powerful, especially with how you said he improvised that combo move. There's a good chance he could win the P1. After all, only Fighting type Pokemon are allowed to compete.
Ash: What do you think, Cobalt? Think you can do it?
Cobalt: Hmm, what's the prize, though? That's what I'm curious about here.
Green: Says on the poster the winning trainer will receive the P1 championship belt, 5,000 dollars cash, adnt ehri Pokemon will be crowned the P1 Grand Prix champion….
Azula: Not gonna do it to yourself, Green?
Green: Well, it's not funny if I do it to myself.
Cobalt: 'Being the P1 champion… It could help me reach my dream of being the world's strongest Pokemon. Plus, Rebecca needs her dad back.'... Okay Ash, I'll do it.
Ash: Alright, Cobalt's in.
Brock: And I got John and Croagunk. We'll both enter and beat that Hitmonchan.
Green: Oh, this is gonna be a slaughter.

Later on, our heroes arrive at a stadium on the edge of HopHopHop town, where the P1 is being held. Inside, a massive crowd of people sat in the seats surrounding a large wrestling ring.
Announcer: Welcome one and all to 23rd annual Pokemon Number 1 Grand Prix!
Green: You're a grand prick.
Suddenly, the Poke Ball symbol in the middle of the ring opened, revealing Anthony and Butkus rising from underneath.
Announcer: The contestants are about to enter the ring. Introducing our number 1 contender, the fighting machine; Butkus the Hitmonchan, and his trainer, Anthony!
The next contestant came onto the stage, a large person in a trench coat and fedora WHO DEFINATELY ISN;T A PAIR OF CRIMINALS IN DISGUISE, along with a brown humanoid Pokemon with spring-like legs.
Announcer: And now the challenger, the kicking fiend; Ali the Hitmonlee, and his trainer, Giant!
In the audience, Misty, Rbecca, Green, and Azula watched as Ash, Brock, CObalt and Croagunk stepped into the ring, all but Croagunk waving to the audience.
Announcer: Now, ladies and gentlemen, two new trainers compete here in their P1 debut. Give it up for Cobalt the Lucario and Croagunk with their trainers, Ash Ketchum and Brock Harrison!
Giant: Oh no, not you again.
Ash: Huh?
The taller perso turned away from Ash as he looked at him, only for spotlights to shine upon a hallway that led to backstage.
Announcer: But wait! They aren't the only ones making their big debut here, folks! We got ourselves a special treat! An expert on the art of brawling and blading, give it up for Kalos's Fighting type specialist….
Suddenly, the curtains sifted away, revealing a blonde haired girl wearing a white and red dress, along with a matching helmet and roller blades. By her side was a more stern looking Lucario, which wore a red armband around its right arm.
Announcer: Korrina and her partner; Lucario! Now, let the P1 begin!
As the first round was underway between two trainers, a fight between a Primape and a Machop, Ash and Cobalt watched while Korrina and her Lucario approached them.
Korrina: Wow, I've never seen another Lucario in Kanto before.
Ash: Huh? Oh, you mean Cobalt? Yeah, Cobalt's the greatest.
Korrina: I can say the same. Lucario's my strongest Pokemon, plus he's my best friend, so that's a win. Oh, where are my manners, back in Shalour? *holds hand out* I'm Korrina.
Ash: *shakes hands* I'm Ash.
Cobalt: *to Lucario* Hi, I'm Cobalt.
Lucario: *nods* How do you do?
Ash's starter felt a bit off put by his fellow species, but it kind of felt right due to them being the same Pokemon. Korrina sat with Ash, checking out Cobalt for herself.
Korrina: Just by seeing how Cobalt is around you, I can tell you're a good trainer. Most Lucario are either disobedient or too serious, but your's has a type of nice friendly feel to him. Not to mention you've kept him finely groomed with the fur being so shiny and having the spikes dulled down just right. *Cobalt blushes* Mm-hmm. Your Lucario's one pretty girl, Ash.
However, Cobalt's blush faded quickly as his eyes went white and hexagonal and his jaw dropped, causing him to look down in shame, much to Korrina's confusion.
Korrina: What's wrong?
Ash: *awkward* Cobalt's…. Cobalt's a male.
Korrina: Huh?... *eyes widen* Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn;t know!
Ash: It's alright… *notices arm band* That's a really cool armband. Wish I got one for Cobalt.
Korrina: You have Lucarionite!?
Ash: Not only that, I got one for Sceptile, Alakazam, Charizard, I'm pretty sure my Gengar has one.
She was about to reply, when the bell rang with the Primape standing over the defeated Machop.
Announcer: And Primape wins the first round! Next round shall be Cobalt VS Poliwrath!
Korrina: Break a leg… I mean that to say good luck, not to actually make you break your leg.
Ash: Thanks.
Cobalt jumped into the ring as a buff blue Pokemon jumped into the other side, eliciting Ash to scan it.
Pokedex: Poliwrath, the Tadpole Pokémon. A Water and Fighting type. Poliwrath's highly developed, brawny muscles never grow fatigued, however much it exercises. It is so tirelessly strong, this Pokémon can swim back and forth from Unova to Johto without effort.
Both Fighting types stared each other down, Cobalt popping his neck a bit before the bell sounded, causing the two to charge and grapple one another.
Trainer: You can do this, Poliwrath! Hit it with Superpower!
Glaring, Poliwrath's body gained a blue glow as it picked up Cobalt, slammed him down, and threw him into the ropes, much to Ash's worry.
Ash: Are you okay?
Cobalt: I'm fine, nothing but a flesh wound.
Announcer: And it looks like Poliwrath has the advantage in the battle, but Cobalt is getting back up! He may be spindley, but he sure is a tank!
With a charge, Cobalt hit Poliwrath with a Force Palm, making him stagger back into the ropes. But the tadpole used this to his advantage as he propelled himself from the ropes and into Cobalt.
Korrina: *to Lucario* I don;'t get it. If Ash has a Lucarionite and a Mega Glove, why won't he Mega Evolve Cobalt?
Her Lucario shrugged as they watched the fight. With enough effort, Cobalt was able to get Poliwrath off of him and send him back.
Ash: Alright Cobalt, finish how we planned! Use Aura Bullet!
Nodding, Cobalt used the same combo move as he did on Butkus, sending a charged and strucken Aura Sphere into Poliwrath, causing a big explosion and knocking him out.
Ash: Yeah, we did it!
Announcer: And the match is over! Poliwrath is down for the count, allowing Cobalt to advance to the next round!
Smiling, Cobalt got out of the ring as Ash brought him into a hug, the pair laughing in victory. Korrina smiled at the interaction… But why didn't Ash use his Mega Stone? This would have to wait until later as Croagunk and a Hitmonlee entered the ring as Ash scanned it.
Announcer: And now for our next match, Croagunk vs the famous Ali the Hitmonlee!
Pokedex: Hitmonlee, the Kicking Pokémon. A Fighting type. Hitmonlee's leg muscles are retractable and curl up like springs. It unfulrs its legs while attacking to add more range to its onslaught of powerful kicks.
As the two prepared to square off, Brock turned tothe crowd, finding Misty and Rebecca in the crowd.
Brock: Hey, Rebecca! Don't worry, everything's under control!
Rebecca: Brock, look out!
Confused, Brock was about to ask why, only to be sent to the ground as Croagunk came flying into him.
Ali: *raises arms* Hell yeah!
Giant: This won;t be trouble, at all.
Brock: Croagunk, next time, hit the Hitmonlee!
Croagunk nodded and jumped back in, ready to use Brock Break on the kicking fiend.
Giant: Don;t show any mercy, use Rolling Kick!
Though Croagunk was faster, Ali was more experienced and powerful, hitting the Toxic Mouth Pokemon with a powerful kick. Try as he might, Croagunk was having trouble tanking the hits, Ash and Brock watched in concern as Cobalt winced at every hit.
Ash: Croagunk's going to be crushed into paste if this keeps up. Brock?... Brock!
The older teen only stared, nervous about the current situation, only for Anthony to walk up and hand him his rag.
Anthony: If you're a real man, you'll know when to admit defeat. Time to face facts. You can lose today, but you could win tomorrow.
Brock contemplated these words, before he then took the rag and threw it into the air as a sign of surrender.
Announcer: And Brock throws in the towel! This match goes to Ali and Giant!
As the crowd cheers, Brocm runs into the ring, leaving it while cradling Croagunk in his arms.
Brock: I'm so sorry, Croagunk. Are you alright?
Croagunk: I'm fine… Sorry I lost.
Brock: *Ash translates* Don't be. You did great.
Ash: It's okay, Brock. Cobalt and I can take it from here.
Brock: We're counting on you two, Ash.
And as such, the contest went on, now with Brock out of the competition. Cobalt, Ali, Butkus, and even Korrina's Lucario took out more and more opponents before Korrina's partner was knocked out by a Blaziken. It was now the semi finals as Cobalt had won his match against a Heracross as the two Hitmons now faced off against one another.
Announcer: With Cobalt now advancing to the final match; we will see who is superior. The Fighting Spirit Gym's own Butkus or the legendary kicking fiend Ali to see who advances to the final round.
Anthony: Keep on moving, keep on fighting. Remember, you're a champion!
Butkus: Got it.
With a ring of the bell, both Pokemon go at it, with Butkus countering ALi's kicks with his punches.
Butkus: 'Gotta keep fast, gotta be smart, gotta keep moving.'
He managed to land a hard punch across Ali's face before dodging the volley of kicks he unleashed. Butkus stepped back, he ran up to punch, nly to not move and look to see his foot caught in a small puddle of glue.
Butkus: What the-?!
Anthony: What's going on with ya, Butkus?! Keep moving!
Butkus: I'm stuck!
Giant: Now, finish it, Hitmonlee! Mega Kick!
The spring-legged Pokemon charged up a powerful kick, running up to Hitmonchan. Suddenly, Rebecca runs onto the ring from the stands, preparing to shield Butkus from the hit.
Rebecca: Stop! Don;t hurt him!
Butkus: Rebecca?!
Brock, Cobalt, and Ash gasped in shock at the action. But as the kick struck, it showed Anthony was the one hit, sent flying into one of the ring's posts.
Ash: Are you okay?!
Anthony: I'm fine, kid. I've been through worse during my time in the ring.
Announcer: Uh oh. It seems Anthony has stepped into the ring himself. P1 Grand Prix rules state that any trainer that steps into the ring during combat is an automatic disqualiication. So, it seems Ali the kicking machine shall advance to the next round by default!
Green: You're a grand prick.
As Anthony looked about, the announcement just getting through to him, Rebecca then walked up to her father, her eyes brimming with tears.
Rebecca: Oh, Daddy….
Anthony: Are you hurt, Rebecca?
Rebecca: No, I'm fine… I'm sorry I made you lose the match. I… I saw Butkus about to be hurt and… I got scared. I mean… He's part of the family.
Anthony: Forget about the match, I'm just glad you're okay, sweetheart. *helps Butkus* You did great, partner. You alright?
Butkus: I'm fine. I was mostly worried about Becca though.
Anthony: *to Rebeeca* Rebecca, I'm sorry. I shundlt have made you and your mother worry so much.
Rebecca: *hugs Anthony* Oh, Daddy.
Cobalt: Aw, isn;t that just sweet?
Green: Yeah, but Cobalt… Now that Butkus is disqualified, you have to fight that kick monster.
Brock: It really is sweet what we did.
Misty: *approaches with Azula* Uh-huh. Your battling brought them together and now all Ash needs to do is beat Ali and Cobalt will be champion.
Cobalt: And I'll be a step closer to being the world's strongest Pokemon.
Ash: Yeah, you will.
?: Don;t count on it.
The gang looked to the other side of the ring, seeing Giant walk near them.
Giant?: I just can't wait for the chance to show you three little goodie-goodies what losers you are. You stand no chance against us, we're gonna win that belt.
?: And after we do, you can find us at the all-you-can-eat buffet table.
Ash: Who said that?
?: Uh….. I'm his stomach?
Giant?: Dammit, James!
Ash: "James"?... *angered* It's them again!
Misty: Team Rocket?
Giant?: How did you ever guess?
Suddenly, the tall figure tore off their cloak, revealing Jessie to be on James's shoulder, the man struggling to stay upright with a red, heavily sweating face.
Jessie: To protect the world from devastation.
James: *strained* To unite all peoples within our nation.
Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love.
James: *strained* To extend our reach to the st- Just finish it already!
Jessie: Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light.
James: Surrender… *starts going down* Surrender now or prepare to…. Prepare to….
Green: Okay, this is just sad.
James: Sh-Shut up, you…..
The blue haired man then collapses face down, panting and lightly sobbing on the floor as the group looked at him not in just annoyance, but in actual pity and concern.
Ash: Are… Are you okay?
James: I… I'm fine. *breathes deeply*
Brock: Can…. Can I get you some water or-
James: No… No, just… Just give me a few minutes…. Oh Giritina, it was so hot in there!
Jessie: *helps James up* Yeah, that was my bad… Sorry…. *to group* As I was saying, we're going to be the winners around here and you can bet your buffet on that.
James then broke off from Jessie, making her turn to him as he made his way to the bench as Meowth peeks out from undr the ring.
Meowth: Are you okay?
James: I just…. *lies down* I just need to…. Rest for a minute….
Jessie: *guilty look* 'Dammit Jessica… Why do you keep doing this to the people you care about?'.
Later on, the final match began, both Ali and Cobalt are in the ring with Ash and Jessie watching them.
Announcer: And now, for the final confrontation. Who will take the belt and be crowned the P1 Champion?! The Aura Emperor, Cobalt? Or the Kicking Fiend, Ali?
And with that, the bell rang, eliciting Ali to start rapidly kicking Cobalt, who blocked them the best he could.
Green: You can;t just defend Cobalt, attack!
Korrina: If you can;t inside that Hitmonlee's head, you'll never win this battle!
Ash: Cobalt, get in there and show you're not afraid!
With the newfound determination, Cobalt grabbed Ali's leg after he commenced another kick, throwing him up into the air and sending him back with a Force Palm before he hit the mat.
Brock: Alright, he did it!
Cobalt: It;s not done yet…. Ash…. Give me the stone. I'm ready.
Ash: *surprised* Are you sure?
With a nod from his Lucario, Ash reached into his backpack, pulling out the sample of Lucarionite he received from Alain and handing it to Cobalt.
Brock: The Mega Stone?
Anthony: Wait, Mega Stone? What's a Mega Stone?
Misty: Ash… Are you…
The boy nodded to his friend as he looked ahead, Cobalt giving him a determined smile. With a smile, Ash touched the stone on his Mega Glove as Cobalt's stone shone brightly.
Cobalt: Let this new form be a testament to how strong our bond is!
Ash: Cobalt! Mega Evolve!
The stone glowed brighter and sunk into Cobalt's body and merged with him, he yelled out as he began to glow. Cobalt's body shifted and morphed in the cascade before it faded. Cobalt's paws have turned a deep red as the spikes on them grew, as did his feet. His cream chest fur grew loner, enveloping his tail to become a kind of frilly cape as his dreadlocks grew longer and tipped crimson, spikes grew on his shoulders, and black markings littered his blue fur to bring attention to his now orange eyes.
The crowd exploded into cheers at the sight, Korrina smiling in pride as Ash and his friends looked in amazement.
Announcer: And would you look at that?! Our first ever glimpse in the P1 towards a Mega Evolution!
Green: He looks so freaking cool!
Ash nodded, taking out his Pokedex to see if anything was different.
Pokedex: Mega Lucario, a result of Lucario being exposed to a sample of Lucarionite. A Fighting and Steel type. Due to being bathed in the explosive energy of Mega Evolution, Lucario's combative instincts have truly awakened, causing it to not show any mercy to any of its opponents. It is said to be the first ever Mega Evolution.
Ash: Woah, the first ever…. How do you feel, buddy?
Cobalt: This…. This is the most awesome feeling I've ever felt…. It's like the entire world is able to be decimated by me…. It's like… I really am the world's most powerful Pokemon…..
Ash: Well, let's give it a test drive! Force Palm!
Cobalt: *charges* I AM THE GOD OF DESTRUCTION!
The two charged at one another, exhanging blow after blow. However in Cobalt's new mega state, Ali was easily overwhelmed by the power of Cobalt's strikes.
Jessie: What are you doing?! Kick it, kick it!
Meanwhile, Meowth peeks out from below the ring, chuckling as he made his way to his partners, with James having gotten up. However, Azula grew suspicious at this and decided to climb under the ring herself.
Meowth: The secret weapon is ready.
James: Hmm?
Meowth: *takes out remote* All you gotta do now is use this remote. Have Ali jump onto the ropes and then hit the switch, causing a 1000 volts to run throughout the ring floor and fryin that Mega moron! *laughs*
Wobbuffet: *pops up* That's right!
Meanwhile in the ring, Ali jumps onto the ropes seemingly taunting Cobalt, before…
Jessie: Hit it!
James nodded and flipped the switch on the remote… Only for nothing to happen.
Jessie: What the…. Nothing happened!
Meowth: Huh?
Wobbuffet: *pops up* That's….. right?
Ali then proceeded to jump, trying to hit Cobalt with a High Jump Kick, only for Cobalt to jump towards the Kicking Pokemon himself. However, the kick didn;t connect as Cobalt grabbed his leg, much to Team Rocket's dismay.
Ash: Alright! Now, use Force Palm!
Flipping over to have Ali face the floor, Cobalt hit him square in the stomach, sending him rockets down to the floor, kicking up a huge cloud of dust. As Cobalt landed, the dust blew away from the impact, revealing a now unconscious Hitmonlee on the floor as the crowd erupts in cheers.
Announcer: And it's over! The Kicking Fiend is knocked down with a Mega-enforced Force Palm! Cobalt the Lucario, the Aura Emperor, is the new P1 Pokemon Grand Prix Champion!
Green: You're a grand prick.
As Cobalt devolves to normal and pants in exhaustion, his stone appears and falls to the floor. A referee hands him the belt while Korrina's Lucario hops into the ring, a prideful smile on his face as he raises Cobalt's paw up as he picks up the stone for the champion. Ash, Korrina, Green, Misty, and Brock joined them, giving the younger Lucario praise for his win.
Misty: You did amazing out there!
Brock: Good work, Cobalt!
Korrina: I knew you two could do it!
Ash: Congratulations, pal. I'm so proud of you.
Green: Same here, little brother. And I just know Mom and Dad would be, too.
James: I don;t get it. Why didn;t it work?
Suddenly, Azula came out from underneath the ring, passing Meowth a box-like device with two lights, a green one which was the only one lit, and a red one.
Azula: This your's?
Meowth: *takes device* Here it is. Itlooks like it works.
Azula: Yeah, turns out you forgot to make a wireless connection router to the remote… *walks away* Well, I'll see ya later.
Meowth: Really appreciate it…. Wait-
Suddenly, the red light blinked on, electrocuting the four before exploding, basting them off just like clockwork.

Later on, Ash let out Psi, Yami, and Aiden, telling them of how Cobalt won the P1, with Ash having sent the belt home for his mother to hold onto.
Yami: Would you look at that?! Make way people, we got a champion here!
Aiden: I can;t believe I missed out on a Mega Evolution fight. That would've been awesome!
Psi: Congratulations, Cobalt.
Cobalt: Thanks, guys.
Near them, Anthony, Korrina, Lucario, Butkus, and Rebecca stood by, watching the happy little interaction as Ash, Misty, and Brock prepared to leave. The blonde girl stepped forth, holding a bag full of what seemed to be pieces of clothing.
Korrina: Thanks for lending me your Mega Stones, Ash.
Ash: No problem, but why did you need them?
Korrina: I noticed how you said you thought my Lucario's armband was cool, so I thought I'd return the favor. So go ahead, try them on. I even got one for your Drizzile.
The 6 Pokemon reached into the bagm pulling out and now wearing a different accessory, all but Azula's having their respective Mega Stone. Cobalt now wore his stone on a red handkerchief around his neck, Green wore a yellow and blue vest with his Sceptilite on the left pectoral, Psi now wore their stone on a belt around their waist, Yami wore his on a cuff around his right wrist, and Aiden had his stone on a collar around his neck. Azula even got to join the fun as she now wore a pair of goggles on her forehead.
Cobalt: Noice!
Green: We look good.
Yami: Kinda disappointed about the cuff, though.
Aiden: You're disappointed? All I got is a dog collar.
Azula: I'm honestly just happy to be included.
Anthony: Well, Ash. Guess this is where we part ways. You make sure to raise that champion of yours right.
Ash: I will, Sir. Don't worry. Maybe I'll see you and Butkus at the next P1.
Anthony: Definitely.
Rebecca: And I'll make sure my father spends a lot of time with our family.
Korrina: I have to head back to Kalos, but this was sure was fun. *to Ash* Ash… You make good use of those Mega Stones. You're gonna go far, I just know it.
With a smile and nod from Ash, both Lucarios shook hands as Ash, Misty, and Brock departed, saying their goodbyes to the three as Korrina and her Lucario made their way to the airport. Cobalt looked at the sky, his paw stroking his handkerchief as he let the event that had just transpired flow over him.
Cobalt: I'm finally on my way…. I just know I'll be the strongest. I just know it…..
