AN: Okay, so this actually came out a lot more quickly than you were probably expecting, but honestly, the skits happening in this one had been on my mind for a little bit recently, and I just had to get them out there ASAP. Especially given a certain bit of recent news.

Weiss: What recent news?

AN: Uh...I'll let the others fill you in, mainly because I don't want to bring the mood down in a Chibi story. At any rate, let's get this show rolling, starting with the opening notices about Studio Fandom.

If you haven't already, please check out our YouTube channel "Studio Fandom". It's the best place to get updates as to what I'm doing with my writing stuff at the time along with various other content. And if you want to look at some pretty cool artwork, we've also got a DeviantArt page now "studiofandom", so check that out too, when you get the chance.

Also, we are still holding an open casting call for voice actors to help us out with the reading series videos of the Remnant of the Key Reading Series. If you're interested, just hop on over to the YouTube channel, and find Episode 8 of Studio News. It'll give you all the details on what you need to do to audition. Please look into it. We really need the extra help, especially with finding someone who can play the parts of Team RWBY, Professor Goodwitch, and Aqua at the very least.

Now, with that out of the way, you know what time it is?

Ruby: Time to start another round of comedy skits?

AN: Yes, but not just that...Well, you'll find out in just a moment. DISCLAIMER!

I do not own anything from any of the Kingdom Hearts, RWBY, or RWBY Chibi franchises, or any other franchise mentioned in this story.

Chapter 8: It's Your Move

It's Time to D-D-D-D-Duel!

A battle unlike any other was raging right at this very moment. On one side stood a single warrior with little defense to his name. On the other, a rather arrogant, haughty princess who commanded three mighty dragons, all of which were poised to strike down her foe. For the lone warrior, this was the make or break moment, and he could not afford to break. Precious people were counting on him to win this battle. Still, the pressure was bearing down on him as he only had one chance to turn this battle around and win. He just needed to believe he could win even when everything was riding…on the turn of a card.

"Draw your last pathetic card so I can end this duel, Sora," Weiss arrogantly dared, confident in the might of her three dragons.

"My deck has no pathetic cards, Weiss," Sora proudly shot back with a grin. A grin that only grew as he drew his next card and saw his faith in his deck had not let him down. He proudly showed off his success by showcasing his latest card to Weiss along with the other four in his hand and declared, "But it does contain…the unstoppable Exodia!"

"Eh?! Impossible!" Weiss shouted in fear, and yet it was true! Sora had all of the five necessary cards in his hand, and now he was laying them out on his duel disk to summon forth one of the mightiest monsters in the game.

"I've assembled all five cards. All five pieces of the puzzle," Sora proudly declared upon placing the last card onto his duel disk, summoning forth the star-shaped pentagram. Out from the pentagram came a massive arm, followed by another, and finally, the head of the Forbidden One himself, as he towered over Weiss and her dragons.

"Exodia! It's not possible! How did he manage to call him?" Weiss gasped, backing up in fear at the sheer sight before her.

"Exoida…OBLITERATE!" Sora commanded, and the mighty giant fired his attack, wiping out Weiss's entire field of monsters.

"No! My Blue Eyes White Dragons!" Weiss despaired as her monsters vanished into the destructive light and her life points dropped all the way down to zero.

Sora barely registered the joyous cheers of their audience, but instead, focused on giving Weiss a simple piece of advice that he could only hope she would take to heart for their next duel. "You played only for power, Weiss, and that is why you lost. But if you put your heart in the game, there is nothing you can't do."

"But that's not fair! When it comes to anything involving the heart, you would always win by default!" Weiss protested.

Sora would have said something to contradict Weiss, but after a moment's contemplative pause, he had to admit, "I mean she's not wrong."

Regardless of what unfolded here today, one thing was for certain.

"A new legacy of champions and incredible dueling has only just begun," Ruby suddenly declared, grinning widely with stars in her eyes.

Hey! Wait a minute. I was going to say that. Please don't do the narrator's job.

"You were taking too long, and I wanted to say it. Plus, I think this might be one of my only scenes in this chapter," Ruby shot back at me. Hey wait a second. How are you…?

"And scene change!" Ruby shouted.

No, no, no! Wait a minute! Is this some weird, Nora-with-coffee-induced thing? I need to know what's going on so I can figure out if I need to switch to the bold text! And we're just moving the show along anyway…Fine. But this isn't over.

Get'cha Game On!

Professor Port's class had taken an interesting turn today, and now, a battle between teacher and student had begun, as Port took on Roxas in a different kind of exam. A duel exam in which Roxas's victory or defeat would determine if he passed or failed the class entirely. So far, it had been pretty intense, and the students were all on the edge of their seats as Port backed Roxas into corner very early on with his Ancient Gear Golem. Now, Roxas's life points were down to 2000, and the only cards he had out on the field were a single face down and Winged Kuriboh. It seemed pretty clear who was going to win on the next turn.

"Well, this has been fun, Roxas, but all good things must come to an end," Port declared as he drew his next card. "Ancient Gear Golem, attack his Winged Kuriboh with Mechanized Melee!"

Poor little Winged Kuriboh could barely get out a small chirp before he was crushed by the giant, mechanical fist of Port's Golem, and that served to make Roxas feel really bad about leaving the little guy out there on his own like that. "Sorry Winged Kuriboh," Roxas whispered softly.

Port on the other hand, could not help but feel confused. "Roxas, I think your duel disk has a problem. Your life points haven't changed at all."

"No, my gear is fine, teach, because when Winged Kuriboh is destroyed, I don't take any damage for the rest of the turn," Roxas revealed, much to Port's astonishment.

"How do you like that? An ability that the good teacher didn't know about," Xion mused aloud.

"Not everyone can know everything about something, Xion, let alone an obscure ability like that," Blake pointed out. "Besides, Port did only just learn about this game a couple weeks ago, so it seems pretty obvious he'd overlook something like this once he found his preferred deck type."

"Well Roxas sure knew about it," Xion proudly reminded her. Blake would give her that, and they then turned their attention back to the game at hand.

"Winged Kuriboh's effect isn't the only one I'm activating though, because since he was destroyed, I can activate my trap card: Hero Signal!" Roxas declared, his face down card flipping upwards to unveil the trap in question. "With this card, I can now summon an Elemental Hero monster from my deck to replace the one I just lost. And I'm going with Elemental Hero Burstinatrix!"

In a burst of flames, the fiery hero Roxas just named appeared on the field, and since he had no other cards to play, Port simply waved for Roxas to begin his next turn. The blond duelist happily did so, and had to smirk upon seeing just the card he needed. "Alright, to kick things off, I'm activating The Warrior Returning Alive to bring Avian back into my hand," Roxas began, showcasing the spell card that allowed him to retrieve his winged hero from the graveyard. "But why have him chill out in my hand when he can party on the field with Burstinatrix? Come on back Elemental Hero Avian!"

As the wind attribute Elemental Hero burst onto the field, Port could only furrow his brow in confusion. "You do understand that neither of these heroes will make much difference against my Ancient Gear Golem, yes?"

"Yeah, I know, but I never said I was finished," Roxas pointed out as he retrieved another spell card from his hand. "After all, Elemental Heroes do their best work when they come together as one, and the best way for them to unite is with this card: Polymerization!"

"Oh dear. I think I can see where this is going," Port mused to himself.

"Now I combine Avian and Burstinatrix in order to fusion summon Elemental Hero Flame Wingman!" Roxas declared, and shortly after, the two heroes disappeared in a swirling vortex, granting entrance to the blazing hero Roxas had chosen as his fusion monster. "Hope you're ready for him to turn up the heat, because this is about to be an epic clash of the titans."

"I highly doubt that, my boy. Your Wingman is still weaker than my Golem after all," Port reminded him.

"Yeah, I know. That's why I've got this little Field Spell at the ready," Roxas revealed while opening up the slot on the side of his duel disk that would allow him to play said spell. "Go, Skyscraper!"

In an instant, the classroom had transformed around the two duelists into a bustling, metropolitan city, and Flame Wingman now stood atop one of the tallest buildings to look down on the Ancient Gear Golem. Roxas could only smirk as he then explained his newest card's special effect. "Thanks to Skyscraper, whenever one of my Elemental Heroes attacks a monster with stronger attack power, that hero gains an attack point boost of one thousand!"

"Oh dear!" Port panicked, knowing there was little he could do to stop what was soon to come next.

"Go Flame Wingman! Attack Ancient Gear Golem with Skydive Scorcher!" Upon hearing the command, Flame Wingman leapt from his perch and dove down towards Ancient Gear Golem like a blazing comet, destroying the machine monster in a single, explosive hit, much to everyone's astonishment. But Roxas was far from finished. "And now, thanks to my Wingman's superpower, the attack points of your Golem are dealt straight to your life points. Sweet huh?"

"Uh-oh!" Port panicked, knowing he only had 3000 life points before Roxas's attack due to an earlier move he had made. Even without the initial battle damage, this effect would make his life points drop straight down to zero. Not that he could stop it, as it was soon proven when Ancient Gear Golem crumbled down around him into a large, metal heap of scrap.

As soon as he heard the satisfying sound of the last point going, Roxas could only smirk and say, "That's game! Guess that means I pass, right?"

"Yes…congratulations…Mister Sheru," Port moaned from where he had dropped down after getting crushed by his own monster.

Everyone in the class had to applaud Roxas's performance in the duel, but it did still leave one important question. A question only Xion could ask since she had come in right when the duel was starting and had missed everything else beforehand. "Why did Port even challenge Roxas to a duel like this in the first place?"

"Roxas was making fun of Port's mustache and he took it a little more seriously than usual," Blake explained.

"Yeah, that'd do it," Xion nodded, knowing how Port was when it came to his mustache.

Let's Rev it Up!

"Sheesh! Talk about nuts. Everyone's been going completely bonkers over this Duel Monsters card game lately," Yang mused aloud as she wandered through Beacon's garage. She was probably one of the few people who did not see all that much appeal when it came to the game. Sure, she liked board games and card games like this as much as the next person, but seeing how crazy even Weiss and Blake were getting about the whole thing really made her wonder if everyone was just hyping it up a lot. As she pondered all this, she spotted Ventus kneeling down next to a strange red motorcycle. "Hey Ven! Whatcha doin'?"

"Getting ready to take my dueling into the fast lane," Ventus proudly decreed.

Yang's curious smile quickly vanished. "Is this something to do with Duel Monsters?"

"Yep. And it's going to be awesome. Trust me, it'll get everyone into it like never before."

"Okay, I'll bite," Yang sighed, thinking she had nothing to lose in hearing him out. "How's this going make the game better?"

"Four little words, Yang," Ventus declared as he finally finished fixing up the bike. He then strapped on his helmet, climbed onto the bike, and hit a control that made the wings of a duel disk extend up and into place, while altering the screen so that it showcased both his field and a possible opponent's, after a field spell Yang did not recognize popped up and faded over it. A second later, the field spell seemed to go into full effect, spreading outwards from Ven's bike, as he smirked and declared, "Card games…on motorcycles."

Now Yang was definitely interested, and she immediately rocketed away before rushing back with Bumblebee at her side. "Hook me up, Ven."

A short time later…

"WOO-HOO!" Yang cheered as she and Ventus raced around the city on their respective bikes, Duel Monsters hovering right alongside of them as they continued on with their Turbo Duel. Needless to say, Yang was having the time of her life right now. "Hope you're not calling it quits just yet, Ven, because my Red Dragon Archfiend is just itching for some more action."

"Oh, I'm far from done," Ventus promised as he drew his next card. "Now I summon the tuner monster Debris Dragon in attack mode! And when he's summoned to the field, I can bring back a monster from my graveyard as long as it has five hundred or less attack points. So come on back, Sonic Chick!"

"Okay, I see what you're doing. Shoring up the defenses, huh? Guess you forgot that Red Dragon Archfiend can destroy all monsters in defense mode when it attacks, huh?" Yang questioned.

"No, I remembered perfectly well, but I'm not leaving it with just these guys," Ventus revealed. "I now tune my Level Four Debris Dragon with my Level Three Shield Warrior and Level One Sonic Chick for a Level Eight Synchro Summon!"

In an instant, Debris Dragon became four bright stars that soon formed a series of rings around Ven's other two monsters, as they became a small number of stars as well. "From three will come one, and from one will come great cosmic might!" Ventus chanted as a bright column of light erupted from the aligned rings and stars. "Now Stardust Dragon, let's rev it up!"

Out from the beam of light came an incredible dragon that shone as brightly as the stars, and it's roar seemed powerful enough to shake the cosmos. And yet, despite its mighty appearance and powerful strength, it exuded a feeling of calm that promised peace for all who gazed upon its majesty. Even if this dragon was a bit weaker than hers, Yang still gazed upon it with excitement and awe.

"That has got to be one of the coolest and most beautiful dragons I've ever seen," Yang admitted as she and Ven pulled another tight turn. "But I don't think it's going to make much of a difference in this duel, Ven."

"We'll just see about that," Ventus promised, his hand already reaching for another card as he continued his turn, his smile brimming with confidence.

As the two raced past them, Aqua, Coco, Sun, Qrow, Terra, and Naminé all watched after them with a mixture of expressions. "Should we be concerned about this?" Aqua asked. "Dueling on motorcycles like that seems dangerous."

"Hey, they've got autopilots on while they're dueling, so it can't be that bad," Qrow reasoned.

"He's got a point," Terra nodded in agreement.

"I really don't think you should be agreeing with him, Terra," Naminé cautioned as she noticed what Qrow was currently drinking.

Coco just looked after them, studying the whole thing from the bikes to the game itself, before she finally remarked, "It all seems cool to me."

"Whelp that settles it. If Coco thinks it's cool, what else can ya do?" Sun shrugged. "Hey, I'm gonna go see about getting my own Duel Runner so I can get in on this action. Who's with me?"

Aqua just spluttered and stammered in disbelief, hardly believing that they could consider the matter settled just like that, but she appeared to be the only one to think so. The others were already following after Sun and Coco to see about getting in on the Turbo Duel scene. By the time they were all gone, Aqua was left to watch as Yang and Ven's dragons clashed, which ultimately led to the master mage's defeat on this matter. "Wait for me, guys."

Feelin' the Flow

"So, does someone want to remind me again why I'm the one doing this one? I mean, my Keyblade Glider actually is a motorcycle, so I feel like I should've been the guy for the 5Ds skit," Lea complained to some unseen person. Hey, wait a minute. I think he's talking to me. "No, I'm talking to the others who are with me right now. Relax Narrator dude."

"To answer your question, they were going in the order of which you guys became official protagonists, and Ventus was an official protagonist before you. That and his Kingdom Hearts game is the one that introduced the Keyblade Gliders to begin with," Neptune explained.

"So quit complaining and let's get back to the duel already! It's your move!" Ruby reminded him from her position on the other end of the field. "And before anyone says anything, I am not just going to be a spectator for this one. I'm going to be one of the duelists in these skits, and no one can stop me!"

"Alright, alright," Lea sighed as he readied his duel disk. "Let's…uh, what's the phrase again?" Jaune hurriedly rushes over to whisper the line into Lea's ear, to which the redhead nods in thanks before drawing his next card. "Let's high five the sky!…Eh, I've heard worse catchphrases."

"Bad or good, your gonna need a lot more than a catchphrase to save you from my Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon, Lea," Ruby boasted. "It's ready and raring to tear you apart."

"Then it's good thing I'm all primed up and feeling the fire!" Lea retorted.

"No, flow! You're feeling the flow," Jaune corrected.

"I know what I said," Lea snapped back. "Ahem, anyways…Now I overlay my two Level Four monsters to build the overlay network and xyz summon…Number 39 Utopia!"

In an instant, the two monsters Lea had on the field disappeared into two little spheres of light before diving into a vortex that appeared in the middle of his field from which a large, mechanical knight with gold wings emerged. Around the knight were the two spheres and on his shoulder, one could see a blazing red, intricately styled version of the number 39 shining brightly. Obviously Ruby was not worried since Utopia was weaker than Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon, but no one said Lea had finished his turn.

"And now with him on the field, I activate the spell card, Rank-Up Magic Numeron Force! With it, I can rank up Utopia into a Chaos Xyz Monster, so I now, I rebuild the overlay network with Utopia and both of his overlay units. Go Chaos Xyz Evolution! Now appear, Number C39 Utopia Ray Victory!"

In an instant, Utopia lit up like a supernova as a new red, white, and gold armor formed around his body, granting him an entirely new appearance as well as a third orbiting sphere. Seeing as he now had everything he needed, Lea waved a hand towards Ruby's monster and shouted, "And now, Utopia Ray Victory will attack Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon!"

"But your monster's weaker than mine. What're you thinking?" Ruby asked.

"Simple. I'm thinking that I'm going to use Utopia Ray Victory's special ability. All Xyz monsters have them you know," Lea reminded her. "Now by using one overlay unit, I can negate all of your monsters special effects. Not only that, but Utopia Ray Victory also gains an attack point boost equal to the attack points of your monster. Go! Victory Charge!"

"Oh this is not going to end well. For me," Ruby noted aloud.

"Utopia Ray Victory, attack! Rising Sun Victory Slash!" Lea shouted, prompting Utopia Ray Victory to draw its two swords and charge in to destroy Ruby's dragon. But not before Lea shouted one last thing. "Rise and shine, Nora! Time to wake up!"

What's Really Been Going on This Whole Time

"AAAH!" Nora suddenly screamed as she leapt up out of her chair, startling Ren a little.

"Nora! Are you okay? What happened? Please tell me this isn't another coffee-related hallucination," Ren asked in a panic.

"No, no, Ren. No coffee involved…this time," Nora promised her partner. "I just had a bunch of crazy dreams. All of them centered around our friends playing this awesome card game. There was dragons, magicians, superheroes that fuse together to become stronger heroes, and sometimes they were even playing the game on motorcycles. And then things started getting a little weird with stuff called overlay networks and…I think they were about to do something with pendulums, but that just sounded absolutely ridiculous and like it would make things way too easy for the game."

Ren looked from Nora to what she had been looking at on her Scroll and instantly figured out what had happened. "Nora, did you fall asleep while binge watching the Yu-Gi-Oh Series?"

Nora glanced over to see an episode from the Battle City Finals Arc playing on her Scroll, and knowing she could not say otherwise, she instead decided to correct Ren on his suspicion. "No, I fell asleep while watching some of my favorite moments from the Yu-Gi-Oh Series. Big difference."

While he was still a little exasperated by this, Ren would admit that was better than the alternative where Nora would watch the entire series in full. "Not again. Nora, we talked about this after that time when you fell asleep while watching that marathon of Harry Potter movies."

"I know, but I can't help it! Yu-Gi-Oh's just so cool! And it's got a lot of great episodes! At least until Arc-V and beyond. I mean, Arc-V had its moments, but everything afterwards was just way too weird or ridiculous. And that's without mentioning the prime opportunity they missed out on to bring back the protagonists of the last four series in Arc-V," Nora insisted.

"Okay, okay, I get that point," Ren conceded. After all, he enjoyed the series a lot too. Which is why his next question came as no surprise to her. "So do you want to play a game of Duel Monsters?"

Nora immediately grinned, grabbed her deck, and a duel disk just as Ren had whipped out his own. "Bring it on, Ren. It's time to duel!"

AN: Okay, so that all happened. Yeah, consider this my little tribute to the anime that got me into anime. Or rather, the first anime I ever seriously watched as a kid. As you can probably guess based on some of Nora's dialogue at the end there, I'm not too big a fan as to what's been happening in the series as of recently. I miss the good old days of the original Yu-Gi-Oh, and of course the days of GX and 5Ds. Those were all great series, and to this day I still wish they had fully dubbed all the episodes of GX of 5Ds. Oh well. Maybe someday later on down the line.

Lea: Again though, why did I get stuck with the Zexal skit?

AN: Pretty much the exact reasons that were given in the skit in question. And yes, I'm aware that technically, Axel became a protagonist when he showed up to rescue Sora and the others in Kingdom Hearts 2, but he had started out as an enemy for most of that game, so doesn't count. And besides, that's when he was still Axel.

Anyways, I'm sure everyone who knows their Yu-Gi-Oh stuff could recognize where a lot of these moments came from, at least in terms of the first couple of skits. The others are kinda just thrown together stuff to highlight some of the best parts of the others, and maybe a meme or two as well. Plus, let's be honest, if Turbo Dueling was a thing on Remnant, we all know Yang would be all too eager to rev it up.

Yang: Yeah, I would. Cards games on motorcycles sounds awesome.

AN: At any rate, let's see about answering a couple of the reviews we got for last chapter, shall we?

Sora: Uh...I think there's not really that many you can give direct responses to this time.

AN: Doesn't mean I'm not going to try at least. Let's see, let's see...

"Dragon Rider 66", glad you liked the Hoodwinked reference, even if it wasn't part of the main chapter, but as far as other stuff for that movie goes...um, to be determined. I mean, I know I'm probably going to reference a bunch of stuff in the actual skits and such, but whether or not I do so consistently, or when it happens, I can't really say at this time. As far as your suggestions about skits where Ruby tries to get Kairi into other guys besides Sora and so on, I hadn't really thought of ideas regarding that, but I do like the suggestions you made. I may decide to run with one or two of them later on, so keep your eyes open for that.

"Neon Starch", I get where you're coming from in defending Ironwood, but keep in mind, one of the characters in the show had stated point blank that for all his talk about wanting others to trust him, Ironwood has never shown any willingness to trust anyone other than himself or the people who will follow his orders without question. And let's not forget that he did in fact shoot someone for arguing with him, and almost did the same thing to Marrow when the latter had finally had enough. Yes, I agree that he can't be faulted for taking as many precautions as he did, but there comes a point where you need to let up, especially if you want other people to really trust you. And let's not forget, Ruby's Group hadn't really had much luck with all the other folks in Ironwood's position so far. Ozpin's secrets and Lionheart's betrayal being the two biggest examples, and who could forget about why they had to steal an airship from the Argus base in the first place.

Anyways, as for your suggestion on having the Soras do the pointing meme...yeah, I'm totally going to do that at some point, because you're right. It is too good not to do it.

Moving it along to "Darkmaster10000000"...Uh...Oh...Ha...Haha...Hahaha...[starts laughing more and more] "went pale when he heard..." More like "had to try and stop himself from cracking up when he heard it." [continues to laugh all the harder]

Ruby: What? What's so funny? [looks to see what he had read in the review, and then starts laughing with him]

Sora: What is it?

AN: [manages to stop laughing long enough to answer Sora's question as best he can] Naruto's his nuclear option. [starts laughing again]

Sora: [starts to join Ruby and lyoko Prime in laughing] Naruto's his nuclear option. [begins laughing in full]

AN: [in between laughs] Dude! Dude, really? You-you think I seriously haven't been prepared for anything from the Naruto multiverse? [laughs on and on for a few more minutes] Man, I've had this place Naruto-proofed since Day 1! And against all varieties of Narutos in the multiverse! And I know it works because I had a small army of different versions of Naruto Uzumaki to help test it. You know what they said as a result? The lead Naruto stated, and I quote, "Not all the Ichiraku Ramen in any universe, multiverse, or even all of reality itself is worth trying to combat that thing, you maniac!" Admittedly, I may or may not have gone overboard with the initial version of the system, but even after I did tone it down a bit, none of them would come back to test it out again for fear of being scarred for life on the second go around...I mean, I didn't really change that much, sure, but still...

At any rate, I believe this is Check, "Darkmaster10000000", if not checkmate.

Blake&Weiss: [suddenly rush in ready for action]

AN: [stares at the two] Seriously? Ruby's not even the one who said it! [turns to Ruby] You guys need to change the name of that move.

Ruby: Yeah, I know.

AN: At any rate, moving on to the general response, thank you all for your admiration, kind words, and continued support of this story, and I hope you continue to follow and enjoy the laughs that are still to come in the SLVR Chibi-verse. And with that said...

What wacky adventures will come next? Who can say for sure? After all, it's all just a bunch of fun and games when you go chibi, and there's no way to know for sure just what will entail along the way.

Oh, and once again, be sure to check out my YouTube channel "Studio Fandom" and the DeviantArt page "studiofandom" if you haven't already. Always looking for more followers and subscribers on both. And as always...
