Back in DC things were getting interesting as reports from the moon started to come in. Some of the independent moon colonies have gotten together and sent an ultimatum for the USA to withdraw from the Moon entirely or be 'evicted'.
"Are they serious?" President Peralez asked.
"I am afraid so, our only option is to ask Congress for an official Declaration of War on these rogue Moon Colonies and send up more troops as withdrawal is not an option." The Secretary of Defense replied.
"Agreed, the Nation's dignity is at stake here plus this 'Samantha' even though she's not a threat now, if the wrong people provoke her, she could spell doom for all mankind."
"Agreed this 'child' must be protected at all costs."
"Good, I like that, we could use that as our official justification. 'Preventing rouge powers from causing doomsday by angering a cursed child'."
"Do you think people will really believe that?"
"Some of the rogue AIs already border on the supernatural, the fact that she's in the physical world and we can show people pictures will probably make it more believable."
"Fair. So besides just sending more forces up there how do you plan on handling this?"
"Send Frank up there, I am sure he's getting bored and Asuna deserves some time off after her success in Mexico."
"We have a new operative who is interested in doing something, a man who goes by Agent Black."
