One by one the Thunder Warriors managed to quickly take control of the hostile moon colonies with ease. Their security unprepared for soldiers of such magnitude. The USA quickly sent troops to secure these colonies as 50 super soldiers may be enough to take them, but they are not enough to prevent rebellion. Major Jed Madden for example has been placed in charge of the military occupation of what they called 'Military District SG1' as they didn't bother learning the name of the place. The major decided to make a broadcast to the entire population.
"People of Military District SG1, this is your Military Governor Major Jed Madden speaking, I know this transition is going to be difficult. However, as long as you behave, you will retain all of the rights that every other American has. Cause problems and we will suspend those rights and crack down on the trouble makers. So, don't mistake our tolerance for weakness as we will switch our treatment of you on a dime should you try anything. That's all." The Major ends his announcement.
People cautiously return to their daily routines, suspicious of the USA soldiers that now patrol the streets. However so far nothing has happened. The people most skeptical are those who fled Earth to get away from crimes they committed down there and started new lives. As far as the USA was concerned with the exception of Corpos and Pedophiles, everyone's crimes have been wiped clean with the fall of the NUSA and the elimination of Corps from US soil.
Lucy however could only think about how now matter how much she tried to run from it, the past just kept catching up to her. It brought her some solace that Smasher was dead, killed by the USA's monster known as Frank Horigan. However, the new order that fallowed concerned her. She was a former Arasaka weapon, how long would it be until the USA came after her? But as time went by it seemed less and less likely. Until she heard a knock on her door. Hesitantly Lucy opened it and saw the USA enforcer Asuna, alone, holding a box.
"Would you mind if I came in to chat?" Asuna asked.
"No, come right in." Lucy said, scared shitless.
After Asuna came in Lucy shut the door not knowing what else to do. "What brings you here?"
"Awhile back, a friend of yours by the name of Falco gave a prior version of myself to put it in simple terms something that belonged to someone you cared about deeply. As nice as it is, I prefer it belong to someone who would appreciate it more, so I asked Falco if there was someone David cared about and he told me about you. So I went and tracked you down."
Lucy immediately froze, realizing exactly what she was talking about. "You mean you have…"
Asuna pulled out David's Jacket. "Yes, I think he would want you to have his Jacket."
She takes it from Asuna and puts it on. "I don't know what to say."
"You don't have to say anything." Asuna begins to leave. "Also, you don't need to worry about us snatching you in the night. We have bigger fish to fry, and I personally marked you as 'Not a Threat'."
"Thank you."
