Disclaimer: I don't own Black Clover, if I did then Asta/Norelle or Astelle, and Yuno/Mimosa or Yumosa. I also don't own Fairy Tail, if I did the Natsu/Lucy or NaLu (They couldn't have come up with a more creative couple name).
I'm sure that there are people out there who are asking the big questions. One of the biggest is how I am gonna explain how the magics work in the countries. Will he use Black Clover mythos, and make it to where everyone even those in Fairy Tail have one attribute and grimoires? Will he use Fairy Tail mythos and make it to where they all can learn any kind of magic but choose to focus on a specific type with no grimoires. Or will he somehow combine the two? Well even though using Fairy Tail mythos is tempting, I decided that I am gonna combine the two and explain why their magics are different. Why do those in the Ace Alliance only have one magic attribute (Unless you are hybrid like Charmy. And Yuno? Still confused on that.), and grimoires while those in Ishgar have no grimoires and have no specific attribute? How will that be explained? Well, I have an explanation ready, but I am wondering what your guy's explanations would be. Let me know in the reviews. A hint it is related to how the queen of the heart kingdom explained why the magics or attributes I guess are different in Heart and Clover.
Also, I decided to go back to the first chapter and change some things, first is Noelle's appearance, and the second was making Hisui queen, because I just found out that Toma retired and made her his successor.
Chapter 2: Arrival
Saturday, January 17, 3:00 pm, Fiore, Magnolia, Fairy Tail Guild Hall
Laxus Dreyer, the nineth master of Fairy Tail was sitting down in a chair, and looking at the job request that they had just received just three days ago. It doesn't matter how many times he looks at it and reads it, it is still the same, a job request from the queen of the Clover Kingdom for Fairy Tail and this job isn't just for any wizard this job is asking for a specific wizard. This wizard being none other than the only celestial wizard in his guild Lucy Heartfilia.
Laxus is still unsure why Lucy is wanted, sure he knows that she is an incredibly strong wizard, she has proven that over and over again. But it is still strange for someone like Lucy to be asked to guide and guard someone like the queen of the Clover Kingdom. If anything, he'd think that they'd ask for Erza. Oh, well he supposes that it doesn't matter, he has faith in Lucy, he himself has seen her power and knows that she is incredibly strong in magic, will, and determination. He's sure that Lucy can complete the task on her own. Well, if Natsu lets her, that guy always finds a way to tag along on a mission, not that Lucy seems to mind despite how much she complains about it. It's always been like this, even when they were just friends, at least that's what he heard, but after their 100-year quest and the two finally got together much to everyone's surprise and joy. It was about time that the two got together, their tiptoeing around each other was very frustrating, and honestly pissing him off.
Speaking of the two, they and the rest of their team, which consists of S-Class wizard and Seventh Master Erza Scarlet, the Ice Demon Slayer Gray Fullbuster, the Sky Dragon Slayer Wendy Marvell, and their two Exceeds Happy and Carla. All seven of the team enter the guild hall, and the first thing that Laxus notices is the expressions on their faces, Lucy has a mixture of an annoyed and depressed face. This is a face that the guild has dubbed the 'We succeeded the mission but my crazy teammates wrecked everything again and we didn't get paid, and now what am I gonna do about rent' face, Erza looked ashamed and looked ready to take a sword to the gut for her punishment, Wendy was ashamed and looked like she was going down death row, Gray was annoyed, so did Carla, and Natsu and Happy like always just don't seem to care.
As the team approached him Laxus sent them a glare, "How much did you cost me, and how many apology letters am I gonna write," Laxus said, in response to that Erza handed a piece of paper. Taking that paper, Laxus looked at it and the number alone nearly made the young man who is in excellent shape with the training he does have a heart attack, "HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU DESTROY SO MUCH? WHAT WERE YOU EVEN DOING?"
"It's Natsu's fault, he got in a fist fight with some guy, then it turned into them using spells, then Gray joined, then Erza, and somehow me and Wendy got dragged into it," Lucy said glaring at her destructive teammates, specifically her boyfriend.
"Hey, you had a hand in that destruction too. Don't act like that you're innocent, I saw you punch a guy out of nowhere, he wasn't even fighting," Gray retorted, he saw Lucy transform in one of her star dresses, and punched a guy through a wall, looking really pissed off too.
"At least I tried to minimize the destruction. You guys just kept using one big spell after another, and because of that an entire market district was destroyed," Lucy said
"He was being a jerk," Natsu said
"You could have beat him without those big spells and you know it. But no, you just had to get fired up, and destroy everything. I swear you never think Natsu, and because of that we had to give away our payment to help pay for the damages," Lucy said
"Yeah, well he…," Natsu said trying to tell his girlfriend why he got in a fight in the first place but was interrupted.
"Enough," Laxus said interrupting the argument before anyone could say anything that they would regret, he then looked at the group of wizards, "Family shouldn't fight, obviously I am gonna have to write plenty of apology letters in the near future. As a team, you all share the responsibility of either a failed mission or the destruction that happens. However, those who start this unnecessarily should take the responsibility. It would show some real maturity on their part." Laxus said taking a jab at Natsu and giving a little advice along with it while looking at him, who had a 'I didn't do anything wrong' face on.
"Laxus, I take full responsibility for what happened. I am the leader, I never should have let it drag out as long as it did," Erza said
Laxus closed his eyes and sighed. Sometimes he questions how these five are his best wizards, and how they haven't been branded criminals themselves with how much destruction they cause. For that matter, how in the world does he still have a guild with the destruction that they cause and the money that they spend on repairs. Guess those are questions to be asked for another time, with that Laxus opened his eyes and looked at his brothers and sisters, "We will talk about this another time. Go and have some fun, get something to eat, to drink, talk to your guildmates, and relax."
The team bowed to Laxus, "Thank you master," Erza said respectfully with that the team split up to do their own activities.
Before Lucy could leave with Natsu probably to talk to him about what happened, Laxus stopped her, "Wait Lucy, there's something that I need to talk to you about," Laxus said
Lucy looked at Laxus curiously, "Um ok, what do you want to talk about," she asked
"Not here, come in my office," Laxus said confusing Lucy even more, but she nodded anyway. With that Laxus led Lucy to his office but before that Lucy looked at Natsu, silently telling him that they will be talking about what happened with the mission later. That got a nervous look from Natsu and a little gulp, but he nodded anyway. Lucy then gave Natsu a kiss on the cheek and then followed Laxus to his office, but not before she took a quick look around in curiosity. When she did, she saw Erza sitting at the bar with Jellal, she saw Wendy with Romeo both failing miserably at flirting with each other, Happy and Carla were with Lily all talking about, well whatever exceeds of Dragon Slayers talk about, finally Lucy's eyes land on Natsu who is approached by Lisanna, the two start talking and then walk out of the guild.
If this were a couple years ago, Lucy would have been upset and worried, because of the history that Natsu had with Lisanna. But Lucy doesn't have those worries anymore, she knows that Natsu is hers, and she's his. They trust each other. What kind of relationship would they have if they didn't trust each other? Ever since that journey after she and Natsu set out to reunite their guild, ever since that fateful night, Lucy knew that Natsu was hers and she was his, there was no denying or worrying about it. She knows that Natsu loves her and would never betray her, and despite how much he annoys her with his destructive habits, she does love him deeply, there is no changing that, not that she wants to. Promising herself that she will find Natsu later to discuss what happened, Lucy turned back around and followed Laxus.
Laxus's office
Laxus and Lucy enter his office, the guild master then stopped making Lucy stop as well. Laxus then leaned against his desk and faced Lucy, "Is everything ok Laxus? If it's about the market," Lucy said
"Don't worry about the market right now Lucy, you and the others will receive your punishment for that later," Laxus said making Lucy gulp, she and the rest of the guild hate Makarov's punishments. They always wind up in some form of embarrassment, and Laxus seemed to have inherited the love of embarrassing his members from his grandfather. Last time Laxus had them walk around town the entire day in chicken outfits. That was so embarrassing. He once made her, Lisanna, and Levy be backup dancers for one of Gajeel's shows in front of the entire town. That and the outfit she wore was mortifying. Not to mention Gajeel's singing, she couldn't even cover her ears. She remembers one time he locked Gajeel in the bathroom after Droy had a ton of beans and went number 2. When they opened the door Gajeel was knocked out, foaming at the mouth. Only Laxus would be cruel enough to make that kind of punishment.
"So, if it isn't about the market then what is it," Lucy asked
"I have a job for you, from a high paying client," Laxus said
"Really," Lucy asked surprised getting a nod from Laxus, "Why me, not that I'm not happy though. I do need money for rent."
"This client asked for you specifically," Laxus informed Lucy.
"They asked for me. Who is this client," Lucy asked, Laxus just gave her the posting and she looked at it, her eyes widened immediately, "WHAT," Lucy exclaimed once she saw who wants to hire her, "The Clover Kingdom wants to hire me to guide and protect their queen," Lucy said in disbelief
"That's right," Laxus said nodding.
"But why? Why is the queen coming to Fiore in the first place, and why does she want me to protect her? Something like this is a better job for Erza," Lucy said
"The queen is coming to discuss with the king about Fiore joining the Ace Alliance," Laxus said
"Oh, yeah, I heard about that. Fiore may be the first kingdom to join the Ace Alliance. I wonder why they are inviting us all a sudden," Lucy said
"Don't know, maybe you can ask her, if you take the job," Laxus said
"But why me? I just don't understand," Lucy said
"Again, I don't know, but the queen says that either you guard her, or no one does. I don't think that I need to tell you what kind of trouble we'd be in if the queen of the Clover Kingdom was assassinated in Fiore," Laxus said
Lucy sighed, well when he puts it like that, she really has no other choice but to go. The Clover Kingdom, that is a place that she hadn't thought of in a while. Suddenly a surge of guilt goes through her as she remembers a nine-year-old girl with silver hair smiling up at her. Shaking off the guilt for now, Lucy looked at the pay, "Well, at least the pay is good. This kind of payment will pay my rent for two years," she said, 'Or maybe pay for a wedding,' Lucy thought to herself, she then grew annoyed again, 'That is if my muscle head boyfriend would take a hint and propose already.' One of the things that have really been getting to Lucy is the lack of marriage proposal on Natsu's part. Seriously, she had spent the entire year of last year thinking that he was gonna propose to her, but he never did. It shouldn't be hard for him to tell; she's been obvious in her hints if you ask her. For crying out loud, she once took him to a cake shop and stopped them in front of a wedding cake, and commented how she thought the flavor and style would be perfect for a wedding. She can still remember what he said.
Memory Natsu grinned at Lucy, "Weirdo, of course it would be perfect for a wedding. It's a wedding cake," he said, with that he dragged an annoyed Lucy away from the cake to look at other ones.
She's also stopped them in front of a display window of a wedding dress store and taken him to a jewelry store and had looked around with her, she never even left the engagement ring section of the store. For crying out loud how obvious can she get with those hints. At this point it's going from annoying to pissing her off.
"So, you'll take it," Laxus asked
"I'll take it," Lucy said
Laxus smirked, "Good, she'll be here in a couple of days, so you best be ready," he said
"I'll be ready," Lucy reassured
"Good, you can leave now," Laxus said
Sending Laxus one last smile Lucy turned around and left the office.
As she walked Lucy took another look at the paper and read everything over once again. The queen of the Clover Kingdom, she didn't even know there was a queen. Last time she checked the Clover Kingdom was being ruled by that man-child Augustus Kira. So, unless he got married, which frankly she doesn't see that happening, then the Clover Kingdom got a new ruler. She wonders who it could be though, it would have to be a Silva or Vermillion.
Thinking of the royal families made Lucy remember someone from her past. This someone was someone that she loved very much, this someone was like a sister to her, she was her sister, 'Noelle. What are you doing right now, I wonder. Are you ok? Are you safe? Are you being treated right? I wish I knew; it has been so long since I've seen you. I miss you little sister.' Too lost in her thoughts, Lucy doesn't notice that she entered the main room of the Guild Hall, and her entrance is noticed by a certain pink haired dragon slayer.
Natsu who had gotten done talking to Lisanna had entered the hall again and sat at one of the tables. He figured that he would wait for Lucy to get done with her meeting with Laxus. He hopes that she didn't get in more trouble, after all it was him who started the fight. Not that he regrets punching the bastard, what he said, Natsu just couldn't ignore. Finally, Natsu sees Lucy walk in the main area. Seeing his girlfriend makes Natsu smile, happy to see Lucy, "Hey Lucy," Natsu called but didn't get an answer from her, she looked kind of spaced out. Seeing this Natsu walked on over to Lucy to see what was up. Once he was close enough Natsu saw a piece of paper in Lucy's hands. A quick glance of it showed that it was a job, excited at the prospect of another job, because Natsu doesn't know how to relax, he grabbed the piece of paper from Lucy's hands and looked at the sheet, "Cool a new job," he said
Having the piece of paper stolen from her broke Lucy out of her worried/guilt ridden thoughts of Noelle, "Natsu, give that back," Lucy demanded as she reached for the paper.
"You got us a job, that's awesome," Natsu said
"I got me a job," Lucy said as she snatched the paper back from Natsu. "The job only requires one person, me."
"Oh, come on Luce, don't be like that," Natsu said
Lucy scowled, "We still need to talk about what happened on the last mission," she said making Natsu groan, "Weren't you just with Lisanna?"
"I just got back from talking to Lisanna," Natsu answered, "Aren't you happy to see me?"
Lucy rolled her eyes at that, "I'm always happy to see you," she reassured her boyfriend.
"Well, you sure aren't acting like it," Natsu said
"That's because I'm annoyed right now. We still have to talk about what happened last mission, before we go on another," Lucy said
"Trouble in paradise" Gray's voice said as he approached Lucy and Natsu along with Erza and Wendy.
"Is everything ok," Wendy asked a little concerned as she saw Lucy's face.
"Just Lucy being over dramatic like always," Happy said ignoring the cut it out signs from Natsu.
"Shut it cat," Lucy said as she punched Happy across the guild hall and crashing into the wall.
"Well, we saw that one coming," Carla said as she saw Happy twitching a bit.
"Everything is fine, we'll talk about it later," Lucy said
Deciding that the best action is to stay out of what is going on between Lucy and Natsu, and that Lucy wouldn't appreciate the meddling on her part even if she has good intentions. Besides Natsu has whatever Lucy is gonna give him coming to him after starting a fight. Although Erza has noticed that Lucy has been a bit more annoyed with Natsu lately, she can't help but wonder what is wrong. Heh, she still finds it hard to believe that Lucy and Natsu are finally together, it was really frustrating watching them tiptoeing around each other. She'll never forget when it happened, it was a week after their 100-year quest had finished, they were all just hanging out at the guild hall, when Lucy got up to get something to drink, then to everyone's surprise she kissed Natsu on the lips. Once that happened, it was like time stood still, and everyone freaked out, scaring both Natsu and Lucy. Everyone then separated the two, the guys got Natsu, and the girls got Lucy and then they started questioning.
Flashback – three years ago
Erza and the rest of the women of Fairy Tail were all at the bar questioning Lucy about what they just saw. "Ok, what was that," a sober Cana asked
"What was what," Lucy asked raising an eyebrow at the group, genuinely curious on what was going on right now.
"Lucy, you just kissed Natsu on the lips," Wendy said
"So, I'm not allowed to kiss him," Lucy said smiling a bit.
"Well, you are, but normally a girl would only do that with their boyfriend," Bisca said
Mirajane then gasped in joy, "Lucy, are you and Natsu dating," she asked
That got Lucy to blush, she then looked at Mirajane and smiled brightly, "Yep, we're dating. Natsu is now officially my boyfriend," she said
That caused Mirajane to squeal in excitement which only made sense considering she had been sure that Natsu and Lucy would get together from the beginning, she even came up with a couple name for them NaLu, "What made you confess to each other," Mirajane asked
"Confess," Lucy asked
"You know, confessed your feelings. When did you tell each other that you loved one another," Mirajane said
"Oh, x792," Lucy said
There was a silence between everyone then, "WHAT," the girls all yelled
"You confessed to each other a year ago? When," Erza asked
"It was on one of the nights when me, Natsu, and Happy left to reunite the guild. We were at an inn; I had been thinking about my feelings for Natsu a lot over that year of his training. I thought more of them when he came back. Well, it appears that I wasn't the only one who was thinking about their feelings, Natsu was too. He visited me, and we talked about a lot of things, one of those things was us, and what exactly was between us. That is when we confessed our feelings toward each other, we then had our first kiss which was really amazing, and then after we…," Lucy trailed as her entire face then turned red, "Well let's just say that because of Natsu, I can no longer be used as a virgin sacrifice." That just made Mirajane squeal loudly.
"So, you two have been dating since that day," Erza asked getting a headshake from Lucy.
"No, it was just that night, after that we focused on bringing Fairy Tail back, then everything else happened. But after that night we both knew where we stood with each other. Natsu knew that he held my heart, and I knew that I held Natsu's. But no, we weren't dating," Lucy said
"But wait Lu, when you found out Touka was romantically interested in Natsu, you said that you felt sorry for her because Natsu isn't interested in that sort of thing," Levy said
"I did," Lucy asked, after a minute of looking through her head it donned on her, "Oh, I did. I guess I should have been clearer, Natsu isn't interested in that sort of thing with anyone who isn't me. Like I said we knew where we stood, Natsu knew that he held my heart, and he wasn't gonna break it."
"So let me get this straight, you and Natsu confessed to each other while you were trying to reunite Fairy Tail, you then had your first kiss, and then screwed each other," Cana said
Lucy blushed, "You don't have to make it sound so vulgar, I like thinking it as Natsu and I making love," she said
"Same thing," Cana said, though Lucy and some other of the women would have to disagree with her on that, "Anyway, so this happened on that night in x792, and yet after that night you two didn't get together then and there?" Lucy nodded at that, "Why?"
"We were afraid of what could happen. We knew that we loved each other, knew that we'd never break the other's heart, and we did want to be together. We would have made the other happy, and we knew it. But there was still the small chance that it wouldn't work, and that if it didn't then it could break our friendship. I've heard of stories about friends who would date but once they broke up, they wound up hating the other and never talking again. Even if the chance was small and unlikely it still scared us, so we decided to stay the way we were. Enjoying the moments where just for a moment we could pretend that we were together. We were content with that for a while, but this past year neither of us were content about it. We wanted more than we were letting ourselves have, in the end we just couldn't take it anymore, and we talked about it. It was him who came to me actually, talk about déjà vu. Last night we decided that we just couldn't do the whole being best friends and love each other from afar thing anymore. We wanted more, after we promised that no matter what happens that if we don't work out then we continue as being friends, we got together. It honestly doesn't feel any different than when we were friends. I mean other than I get to kiss him now and show him the affection that I want to. But other than that, nothing feels different."
"That's because you two have practically been dating since he brought you to Fairy Tail," Cana said getting a laugh from the girls.
"Hey," Natsu's voice interrupted the laughing. The women all turned to see Natsu walk over and towards Lucy.
"Hey," Lucy greeted smiling at her boyfriend.
"I swear, those guys are crazy, making a big deal over a kiss," Natsu said making Lucy laugh a bit.
"These girls are being the same way," Lucy said
"Congratulations Natsu, on you and Lucy finally getting together," Levy said smiling.
"Thanks Levy," Natsu said
"Natsu," Erza said making him look at her only to get a deadly and threatening look from her, a look that promises pain to the highest degree, "Hurt her, and I'll kill you. Understand."
"Yes ma'am," Natsu squeaked in confirmation, "Anyway," he said turning to Lucy, "You want to get out of here."
"Yes please, I've had enough interrogation to last a while," Lucy said, as she got off the stool, and interlaced her fingers with Natsu's. Lucy then turned to the girls, "I'll see you girls later." With that Natsu and Lucy left the guild hall hand-in-hand.
Present
It's been three years since those two have gotten together. Hm now that she thinks of it, she may have an idea on what is getting to Lucy. Deciding to think on that another time or just wait for Lucy to come to her, Erza spoke, "We saw you go off with Laxus and was wondering if everything was ok."
"Yeah, you didn't get in any more trouble, did you," Wendy asked worried.
Lucy smiled at that, "No, nothing like that, Laxus said though that we will receive our punishments later," she said making the group gulp at what form of punishment they will endure.
"I just realized something, chili night is one week away, isn't it," Natsu said making Wendy gasp in horror as she realized that he was right.
"No, I can't go through that again. Please don't make me go through that again, please," Wendy begged, nearly hysteric.
After testing his punishment on Gajeel, Laxus now locks each of the dragon slayers in the bathroom after Droy goes after chili night. Droy loves chili, but chili doesn't love him.
Deciding to move on from that, Lucy spoke, "Laxus, spoke to me about something else," she said
"Is it about that job," Natsu asked
"Job," the team all asked
"Yeah," Natsu said grabbing the paper from Lucy's hands again to show their friends.
"Hey," Lucy said annoyed that Natsu stole the paper from her again. But what else could she expect from him, the guy acts before he thinks, not even realizing that to other people that is incredibly rude. But Lucy is used to it, it's not like he hasn't done worse, it's not like their team has done worse. Actually, scratch those, it's not like their guild has done worse. Serious they have no sense of boundaries. Though, ever since they started dating, Lucy has been trying to work on that with Natsu, though that is kind of hard when they have an entire guild who don't know what boundaries are.
"Lucy," Natsu said getting Lucy's attention.
"Heh, what," Lucy asked
"You ok? You look spaced out," Natsu asked
"I'm fine, just some internal monologue," Lucy said
Natsu grinned, "Weirdo," he said
"Says my 400-year-old boyfriend who eats fire," Lucy countered
"Hey, Wendy and Erza are over four hundred too," Natsu said
"Please don't say that. I hate being reminded that I'm over 400 years old," Wendy groaned
"Afraid that it will scare Romeo off," Lucy teased making Wendy blush at the insinuation and the fact that yeah, she is afraid that it will scare off Romeo.
"Actually, I'm not 400 years old, I was conceived 400 years ago, but I was born 24 years ago. That means, I am 24 years old," Erza said
"Please quit talking, you're just making me feel older," Wendy whined
Gray who now has the paper looks at it, "It says here that you are to not only guide, but also protect…THE QUEEN OF THE CLOVER KINGDOM," Gray said eyes widening.
"THE QUEEN OF THE CLOVER KINGDOM," Erza exclaimed
"NO WAY," Wendy said
"Um, what's the Clover Kingdom," Natsu asked, trying to remember if he has heard of that kingdom before.
"The Clover Kingdom is a country thousands of miles away from Ishgar. It's a very classist society, the classes are as follows, the commoners who reside in the forsaken and common realms, the nobles who live in the noble realm, and the royals who reside in the royal palace. Nobles and royals for the most part believe themselves to be above commoners," Lucy said
"Why," Wendy asked
"Three reasons, money, influence, and magic," Lucy answered, counting off her fingers
"I understand the money and influence part, but can you explain the magic part," Gray said
"In the Clover Kingdom, magic is everything, unlike here where people are born without magic, and can learn it later on, in Clover everyone is born with magic, of course the amount of magic varies. If a person is born with a low amount of magic, then those with more magic will look down on them, it doesn't matter if they're in the same class of society. Those with lesser magic will always face discrimination from those with more magic. Commoners have low magic reserves while nobles and royal are naturally born powerful, royals being the most powerful of them all," Lucy said
"So, what, the higher the class, the more power a person has? That sounds screwed up," Gray said
"I think it's sad, I can't help but feel bad for those of the lower class," Wendy said
"How could anyone treat another person like that, and all because of magic or are in a different class of society. Someone needs to change that," Natsu said punching his fist in his hand.
"It's been like that for hundreds of years, nobles and royals like the power that they wield, they'll do everything they can to make sure they keep it. There are some people who fight for equality, I remember the previous Wizard King Julius Novachrono fought for that. It's not all bad though, once you get past that the Clover Kingdom is actually a great place to be," Lucy said
"You know a lot about Clover," Erza stated, impressed by the knowledge that Lucy has.
Lucy shrugs, "My parents were friends of some Clover citizens. They knew each other since before I was born. We would visit them in Clover, and they would visit us in Fiore," Lucy said
"Really," Wendy asked
Lucy nodded, "They were close, close enough that I was raised to call them aunt and uncle. They had four children, I didn't talk or even spend time with the three eldest children, but I was especially close with their youngest Noelle," she said
"Noelle," Natsu said
"That's an interesting name, and when I think about it, a familiar one," Erza commented.
"We were seven years apart, but that didn't matter though, because we were close. We were like sisters, heck I'll say it, we were sisters. Even now I still think of her as my little sister," Lucy said, a fond smile gracing her face which her friends noticed.
"Do you still keep in contact," Wendy said
At the question Lucy's eyes became solemn which her friends noticed, "The last time I saw her was a few months before I ran away from home, she was nine, and I was sixteen. I wrote as much as I could even after I joined Fairy Tail. Then we went into that seven-year sleep, and so much had happened after that, I never got the chance. I haven't had a semblance of contact with Noelle in years," she said, Lucy then sighed, "Some big sister I am."
"Well, there's nothing stopping you from writing her now, is there," Natsu said surprising Lucy.
"Well, no," Lucy said
"Then why not write her, ask her how she is," Wendy said
"What if she doesn't want to speak with me? What if she hates me," Lucy asked, she doesn't know what she'd do if she found out that Noelle hated her.
Erza rested her hand on Lucy's shoulder, and gave her a comforting smile, "All you can do is try, and if she winds up being angry then try to make it up to her," Erza said
Lucy smiled, "Yeah, you're right. I'll write her a letter when I get home," she said
"Ok, but what about this job, we going or what," Natsu asked getting an annoyed look from Lucy, "Please Lucy."
"Aren't you tired at all," Lucy said
"This guy," Gray said incredulously as he gestured at Natsu, "This guy is never tired. Besides another mission wouldn't be so bad, and we'd get to meet that queen."
"It would be nice to go out on another mission, this could even be relaxing, certainly a nice change from our usual missions," Erza said
"I'm in," Wendy said
"I guess that I will go," Carla said
"Ai sir," Happy said
"Of course, it is up to you Lucy, this is your mission after all," Erza said
Lucy looked at them for a few minutes in contemplation, "Please Luce," Natsu said, Lucy continued to contemplate.
"Of course, you'll get all of the pay with it being your mission, and we are pretty much forcing ourselves along," Erza said
"You promise not to destroy anything," Lucy said
"If we do, don't worry about it. We'll pay for it," Erza said
"Well," Lucy said as she looked at all her teammates and finally landed on Natsu who was giving her this pleading look. It just looked so cute; how can she say no to that. Lucy sighed and smiled, "Ok, you can come."
"Yes," Natsu said, the other members cheered as well.
"Just please try to behave, we are meeting a queen after all, let's not give her a reason to hate us," Lucy said as she looked at her team, specifically Natsu.
"Don't worry about it Lucy, we'll be good," Natsu said
"I wonder what this queen is like," Gray wondered
"Don't know, last time I check Augustus Kira was the king of the Clover kingdom," Lucy said
"If I remember correctly, it was a year ago when the previous king was dethroned and was replaced. This queen must be the replacement," Erza said
"If you're all coming then there is something that you should know about Clover, and the Ace Alliance. Erza may know this, but I'm quite sure the rest of you don't know," Lucy said, she then sent a playful smirk at Natsu, "I definitely know that Natsu doesn't know."
Natsu scowled, "Hey, I could know," he said crossing his arms and pouting making Lucy laugh.
"What do we need to know," Gray asked curious along with the rest of the group.
"Everyone in the Clover Kingdom and the Ace Alliance can only use one magic type or attribute as they call it," Lucy informed
"What do you mean, one magic attribute," Wendy questioned
"Let me give an example, Gray, even if you're an ice wizard you could learn other magics as well, fire, water, earth, etc. well the wizards or what they tend to call themselves mages in the Clover Kingdom, an ice mage can only learn ice spells, they are incapable of learning anything else," Lucy explained
"Really, they can't learn another magic outside of ice magic," Carla said
Lucy nodded, "Every mage in the Ace Alliance is born with one magic attribute, this is the attribute that they will have for the rest of their lives and the only spells that they can ever lean are those in their spell books known as grimoires," she said
"Grim-wha," Natsu said
"Grimoires, like I said, they are spell books that mages in the Clover Kingdom and the rest of the alliance get when they are fifteen. From what I was told there is a ceremony at a tower where all the kids who reach 15 can get their grimoires," Lucy said
"What the point of these grimoires though," Gray asked
"Unlike here where we have to train to increase our magic reserves, at the four kingdoms and if I'm right The Land of Sun, all a mage needs is a grimoire and their magic potential will reach their maximum," Lucy said
"Well, that isn't fair, I mean we've trained every day to get our magic to where it is, and all they have to do is get a damn book and they can skip all that," Natsu said
"That's just the way it is Natsu, there is no changing that, no matter how much you complain," Erza said
"You don't seem surprised by this Erza," Wendy said
"Hm, that's because I'm not. I've read up on some of the other Kingdoms over the years, so everything that Lucy is saying isn't surprising the least to me. What Lucy hasn't said yet is each mage has a grimoire that is unique to them and gives them spells that only that mage can learn," Erza said
"Erza is right, it doesn't matter how hard they try a mage will never be able to learn another mage's spells," Lucy said
"So, this queen will only have one type of magic," Natsu asked getting a nod from Lucy.
"Got any idea what kind," Gray asked
"Not a clue, there are countless types out there. Earth, fire, water, wind, lightning, spacial, I've heard something about memory magic," Lucy said
"I heard that the previous Wizard King had time magic," Erza said
"Is that like Arc of Time," Gray asked
"No, it's more powerful than Arc of Time. Time magic can affect both objects and people. I heard that the Wizard King healed wounds by reversing time on the injury itself where it's like it never even happened," Lucy said
"That's crazy," Wendy said
"Well, he was Wizard King for a reason. Anyway, it's unlikely that we'd be able to guess the right type because there are countless out there," Lucy said
"Hm, well thanks for the info," Gray said
"Yeah, thanks Lucy," Natsu said
"Yeah, thanks," Wendy said
"No problem…hm…well we have to get home and get packed, you guys should do the same as well," Lucy said as she grabbed Natsu's hand in hers and started to lead him away, "And you and I need to talk," Lucy said letting Natsu know that he isn't off the hook with her yet, "See you guys later," she said waving at them,
"Bye guys," Natsu said
"Later," Gray said
"Bye," Wendy said
"We'll see you tomorrow," Erza said
Lucy smiled and continued her way home with Natsu, it was a couple of minutes walking when she decided to begin, "So about what happened," she said making Natsu groan. "You do remember that we have rent right Natsu?"
"Of course I remember, I always remember when rent is due," Natsu said
"And yet you wrecked a marketplace making us use that rent money to pay for the damages, and all because of a fight," Lucy said giving Natsu a look.
"The guy had it coming, after what he said. That wasn't right, and I wasn't gonna let that stand," Natsu said
Lucy sighed, "What did he say that made you fight him in the first place," she asked
With that Natsu stopped making Lucy stop to, he then looked at Lucy with a serious face, "He insulted you," Natsu said surprising Lucy.
"What," Lucy asked surprised
"He insulted you; he insulted the way you dressed, at first I let that slide. But then he just kept on talking, saying that you were probably trying to get everyone's attention. They called you a slut, said what they'd do to you if they got you into a room with them. Said they'd make you scream like a whore and how much you'd enjoy it," Natsu said as his hand lit up, the flame getting hotter as Natsu's rage grew the more he spoke. Seeing this Lucy rested her hand on Natsu's bicep getting his attention on her. Immediately he calmed down and the fire in his hand went out. "I couldn't let that slide. How dare they say those things about you when they didn't even know you. You're not a slut or a whore Lucy, you're a beautiful, kind, gentle, and forgiving woman. Any guy who is with you truly is a lucky man, I know how lucky I am to have you as my girlfriend. That's why I couldn't just stand there and let them insult you. I told them to take it back, but they wouldn't, then they asked what kind of things that I've done to you because they thought that you probably slept with Gray and me at one point. Asked if you screamed as loud as they thought you would. I just couldn't handle it, I punched to guy in the face, hard too."
"You got in a fight because you were defending me," Lucy said getting a nod from Natsu.
"If someone disrespects my friends and family then I'm gonna defend them. Especially you Lucy, I love you Lucy, and I will defend you, whether it be from physical harm or someone disrespecting you. I will defend you, and I will not apologize for it," Natsu said
"Natsu," Lucy said softly, she couldn't help but smile at that, perhaps she can be more lenient this time, after all he did it for her. That is just like Natsu, always defending those that he loves, especially her. It can get annoying sometimes, but it is very sweet, and it just makes her love him even more.
"Well, hey I saw you get in the fight too, and you looked really pissed off. What happened that pissed you off so much, me starting fights annoy you but I know they don't make you that angry," Natsu said
At that Lucy frowned, "You know how there was some information leak about you being revived by the book of zeref thereby making you part demon. Well one of the men recognized you and said that was typical of you because you were a demon, and that's what demons do, destroy. When I heard that, I told the man to take that back, but he didn't, instead he used it to antagonize me, I just got so angry that I attacked," Lucy said, she then looked at Natsu and placed her hand on his cheek, "You're not a demon Natsu, you're the man that I love" Lucy smiled, "I guess that we're both guilty at getting into fights when we defend each other."
Natsu smiled, he then wrapped his arms around Lucy's waist and pulled her close to him. Lucy herself wraps her arms around his neck, "I love you," Natsu said quietly to only she can hear.
"I love you too," Lucy said just as quietly, with that the two leaned into each other and shared a kiss. After a minute the two broke apart and smiled, they then returned to their walking back to their apartment.
Clover Kingdom, Noble Realm, Apartment Complex
Noelle was sorting out through some of her clothes, she was currently in her and Asta's room in an apartment in the noble realm. A couple of years ago she and Asta had decided to get their own place. They found a nice apartment in the noble realm and moved in days later, it was a nice place. One that is just theirs, and no one else. It's nice to have some alone time with each other. Noelle blushed as she thought about some of the activities that they get up to when they are alone. Probably not behavior fit for a royal such as her, her brother certainly wasn't happy when he found out that she was sexually active. In fact, she can remember when he decided to visit her at the Black Bulls hideout. He went to her room, he knocked apparently, however when he heard her scream of pleasure thinking that it was fright or pain, he opened the door, and then to his shock he found her and Asta in bed together, naked with Asta on top of her. That was embarrassing, what made it worse was that he'd come in just as they were 'finishing' too.
Flashback – Four years ago, Black Bulls hideout, Noelle's Room
Noelle and Asta looked to where they heard a noise from her bedroom door, and saw Nozel standing there, "NOZEL," Noelle said as she rushed herself in a sitting position covering her body with blankets. She couldn't believe this is happening, her brother caught her having sex with Asta. This is so mortifying.
"Um, hey Nozel," Asta said awkwardly, Noelle can see despite how dense he can be that Asta is embarrassed too. "Come to visit Noelle."
Nozel, however, didn't respond to either, he was just standing there looking at them with an unreadable expression.
"Listen, Nozel…," Noelle said ready to explain, but was interrupted.
"Die commoner," Nozel said as he sent out his mercury and attacked Asta who screamed in alarm and just barely dodged it by falling off the bed. Nozel looked at Asta with a threatening and deadly look on his face, "You would dare to take my sister's purity. I'll kill you." With that the mercury turned to spear and tried to pierce Asta who dodged it with a scream.
"It's not like this is the first time we've done it," Asta said without thinking, that seemed to have doubled Nozel's efforts in killing him.
"Asta, you're not helping," Noelle said exasperated and embarrassed at what her boyfriend said.
"Die," Nozel said as three swords shot out at Asta making him scream as he backed up missing the swords by inches. It actually looked like to Noelle that Nozel was aiming at a certain part of Asta's body. A part that he made great use of with her minutes prior.
"DAMMIT ASTA RUN," Noelle said
"Right," Asta said as he got up, grabbed his boxers, and ran out of the room while at the same time putting them on.
"GET BACK HERE YOU MAGICLESS PEASANT," Nozel said as he as he exited the room, created his signature mercury eagle and flew after Asta, chasing him.
"NOZEL WAIT," Noelle called as she then quickly changed into her pink dress and ran after them, her ribbons, blazer, and shoes forgotten. She had more pressing matters to attend to, like trying to keep her brother from killing her boyfriend, "NOZEL, YOU CAN'T KILL HIM!"
Present
Noelle remembers Nozel chasing Asta all over the Clover Kingdom, when she was able to catch up, Nozel had just cornered Asta. Thankfully she was able to intervene and was able to keep Nozel from killing Asta. Of course, after that Nozel for the first time in her life grounded her and told her to go to the palace to her room. To say she was surprised was an understatement, but to placate her brother and keep her boyfriend from being killed she listened.
Once they were there Nozel had a fit about it all, he wasn't happy about her having sex, he didn't even know that she was dating which was weird considering she and Asta didn't exactly hide it. They were actually congratulated by their friends and other magic knights saying that it was about time that they got together, and how frustrating it was not seeing them together, even Yuno congratulated them. Of course, where there are those who congratulated them there were an equal number who were against them and were quite vocal about it too.
How Nozel missed all this, Noelle has no idea. He did try to forbid her from seeing Asta again, which she flat out refused. She was no longer that girl who would do anything for her brother's acceptance, she's a grown woman, she's a magic knight. Those insecurities, those fears are gone. She isn't gonna lay down and obey just because Nozel orders it, she's no longer that girl.
At first, Noelle thought that Nozel didn't want her to see Asta was because Asta was a magicless peasant, and that Nozel wanted her to be with some noble man. But that wasn't the case at all, apparently Nozel didn't want her with anyone, deeming her too young to date even though she was 18. That's when she realized that Nozel was just being a protective and possibly possessive older brother which warmed her heart, it was just proof of just how close the two had gotten over the years.
Apparently, Nozel wanted to keep the image that she was his sweet and innocent little sister. Guess she shattered that image. But even still, she wasn't gonna stop seeing Asta, in the end she was sent to her old room where she stayed for at least a day till she decided that she humored Nozel enough and left saying that she had magic knight duties which of course annoyed him and made Nozel realize what teenage rebellion looked like. After that Nozel had been vocal about his objections about her relationship, but she let it slide because of the reason, besides despite his vocalism he wasn't even half as bad as the nobles. Nozel knew where the lines were and he never crossed them, knowing what could happen if he did.
Noelle is thankful that she means enough to Nozel where he does care enough to keep their relationship intact. She proved years ago that she doesn't need her siblings and can live a happy life without them. But it means so much that Nozel cares about her and wants a brother-sister relationship. Unlike Sold and Nebra, neither has even tried to mend with her, the best she gets from Solid is that he has declared her, his rival, but that's it, they've had a few conversations after his challenges. He'd even taken some training advice from her, which isn't too bad, there is hope for she and Solid's relationship, she likes to think so, but maybe she is just wishfully thinking. Nebra, they honestly may as well be strangers, even when they were in the same squad for two years, the only time there was any contact was when they had to talk. Oh well, If neither Solid nor Nebra has any interest in mending their relationship then that's fine with her, she has everything she needs and wants with the Black Bulls and the rest of her friends. She learned that you don't need to be related by blood to be a family, the Black Bulls taught her that.
Suddenly Noelle feels two muscular arms wrap around her waist, and she is pulled in slightly where her back hits a chest. Knowing who said arms and chest belong to, Noelle smiled and let herself relax in the embrace, taking a moment to feel the peace, love, and safety she feels in his arms. She then feels him kiss her cheek which makes her giggle a bit.
"What ya thinking about," Asta asked
"The past," Noelle said as she then turned and looked up at her fiancé. After a week of dating Asta had proposed to her which made her freakout and sprayed him with her water magic. After that Noelle discussed how getting married was not a good idea and that they should date first before going into something like marriage. Of course, Asta surprisingly had a counter argument saying that they already know everything about each other, and they know that they love each other, and how it has felt like they are past the dating portion. So why not just get married? Honestly Noelle didn't have much to say about that, in the end she was able to end the conversation so she could find a way to convince Asta that getting married just wasn't a good idea then.
She remembers telling Mimosa about it, her cousin encouraged her and said to do what she thinks is right. That was good advice, after that Noelle started thinking about it more, and the more she thought about it the more she was warming up to the idea. It just made sense, they do love each other, and dating was all about learning about each other and deciding whether this is the person that they want to spend their lives with and have a family with. Noelle and Asta both knew that they wanted that with each other. As Noelle thought about it, she had decided that dating honestly seemed silly now, and that she should marry Asta. After that thought, Noelle had gone on her quest to find her boyfriend to accept his proposal. She eventually found him outside the hideout. She'll never forget that conversation.
Flashback – four years ago, Black Bulls Hideout
Noelle was searching for Asta, she decided to go to one of his training spots which was behind the hideout, and there he was her boyfriend of two weeks. Wow, two weeks that they've been a couple, that's hard to believe. Watching as a shirtless Asta was practicing his sword play, Noelle contemplates just letting him train and wait till he is finished so she can enjoy the show in front of her. She doesn't know why people think that Asta's muscles are gross, she likes them, especially when she gets to feel them. Noelle suddenly blushed as she remembered what activity she and Asta were doing that had allowed her to feel Asta's muscles.
Fighting off her blush, Noelle decides to interrupt Asta, "Asta," Noelle called getting Asta's attention on her making him stop, Noelle walked over to him, and stopped in front of him.
"Oh, hey Noelle," Asta said smiling
Noelle smiled to, "Hey, listen I need to talk to you about something. It's about the proposal a week ago," she said
"Really? Wow, I wanted to talk to you about that too. I'm sorry about that," Asta said
"Wait. What? You're sorry," Noelle said surprised getting a nod from Asta.
"Yeah, Mimosa talked to me about it earlier this week," Asta said
"Mimosa talked to you," Noelle asked
Asta nodded, "Yeah, she did, and she explained everything to me. I'm sorry Noelle, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable with that proposal. I guess I always thought that if you love someone then the only thing that makes sense is to marry them. But I am no good with romance, I mean I had a crush on Sister Lily for years and constantly proposed to her, not taking no for an answer not even when she used her Holy Fist on me. I didn't understand love then, but I do now, and I know that I love you, but just like I was forcing my feelings onto Sister Lily even when she didn't want them, I'm doing the same to you, and that isn't right. I have no problem dating, if that's what you want then that's what we'll do," Asta said
"About that…," Noelle said but was interrupted by Asta.
"Mimosa even told me that some people get engaged after two, three or more years of dating. So, I guess that we'll do that then," Asta said
Noelle became alarmed at that, "Years is a long time; we don't have to wait that long. We could be married within a month if we put in the work," Noelle said alarm in her voice.
Asta smiled and kissed Noelle, after 30 seconds they pulled apart, and he looked at her, "You don't have to do it for me Noelle. I'm not gonna force you into this, no I have no problem waiting a few years," Asta said
'I DO,' Noelle screamed in her head.
"Anyway, I have to go on a mission," Asta said, he then kissed Noelle again, "I'm glad we were able to settle everything, I'll see you later," with that he walked off.
Noelle didn't say anything, she just stood there as her boyfriend left for a mission. What just happened? Just two weeks ago he was all for them getting married, and now that she has decided that she wants to marry him he goes and backs out on the proposal. What the actual hell. Noelle thinks and goes over the entire conversation and comes to a conclusion. Mimosa screwed her, her own cousin screwed her, "I'm gonna kill you Mimosa," Noelle cursed her absent cousin.
Present
Noelle just about made good on her promise, if Yuno hadn't been there to save Mimosa. That was the first time that she and he fought. She knew Yuno was strong but damn, was able to get a draw though. He may have a wind spirit for a partner, but her partner is a sea god. She was able to give him as many bruises as he her, that certainly gave her some satisfaction, and worked off her anger. But Yuno just had to ruin it and say that she is just like Asta, jumping in before thinking. That made her jump on him and strangle him while at the same time shaking him back and forth Mimosa was healing them too. She remembered Yuno saying that he wasn't that kind of character. Whatever that meant. Mimosa tried to stop her, saying that she thinks that she may kill him. Well dah, that was the point of her strangling him, or at the very least teach him what happens if he pisses her off, and that he should be afraid, be very afraid. Eventually she did stop, Noelle just didn't think it was worth it in the long run.
After a year of dating and a ton of obvious hints from her that she does want marriage, Asta finally proposed to Noelle, which she had happily accepted. They'd been engaged for three years, they tried to get married, but things always got in the way, well in the first two years one thing or person got in their way. The last year, she just had so much to do with her duties as the queen, but thankfully they were able to plan the wedding in between everything happening. In the next couple of months, the day that she had dreamed of since her feelings first appeared is finally coming. Because in a couple of months she and Asta will be getting married. Just the thought of him introducing himself as Asta Silva makes Noelle giddy. They never found out Asta's last name, not even Liebe knew, according to him it never came up in conversation between him and their mother.
Noelle looked at Asta, he hadn't changed much except that he looks more mature, and is taller than her by one inch, his 5'5 to her 5'4, she'll never forget how excited he was when he hit a growth spurt. Of course, Yuno is still taller which he smugly pointed out and finished it by calling Asta Shortsta. That got Asta yelling and screaming and making him challenge Yuno, but Noelle wasn't in the mood for their competitions that day, so she pulled him away. Of course, while they were alone Asta was ranting and complaining about Yuno, and then saying that he would beat him someday, and he would be the Wizard King. She knew that if she let him, then Asta would keep ranting, so she decided to shut him up. Thankfully Asta had proved to be a typical guy and was able to shut up when she initiated a make out session. Noelle looked at Asta again and saw that he was wearing a sleeveless white shirt, after they started dating, she got him to wear shirts again. Even though she enjoys the view of Asta's muscular chest, she does not enjoy other girls enjoying the same view. Asta is also has his leather sleeve over his right arm, on the bicep of the sleeve is what looked like a black clover with gold accents, however the clover doesn't have the right and left leaves, just the stem and top leaf. Asta is also wearing dark blue pants, brown boots, a large brown belt that is holding his grimoire pack, and over his shoulders is the Black Bulls robe in the same style that it was after they trained at the Heart Kingdom, attached to him with a cord. She can see that they both changed over the years, well that's what happens when you grow up.
Noelle smirked, "I'm especially thinking about when Nozel first caught us having sex," she said making Asta groan which made Noelle giggle.
"You know I try not to remember that, and now you're reminding me," Asta said
Noelle giggled again, she then kissed Asta on the lips and he kissed her back. After about a minute, they broke the kiss, "You're the one who asked," Noelle said as she then stepped out of Asta's arms, she would love to spend all day in Asta's arms, but she had to get ready. With that she got back to packing her clothes and Asta sat on their bed watching her. Knowing that he is watching her made Noelle smile, she decides to make conversation, "So, how are the Black Bulls doing Captain."
Asta smiled at Noelle calling him captain, that's right he became captain of the Black Bulls three years ago. It was still hard to believe at times. "Everyone is as rowdy as usual. Nash finally settled in," Asta said
"That's good, I was a little worried that the Black Bulls would be too much for him. Considering how crazy they can be at times," Noelle said
"Yeah, it always surprises everyone just how crazy the Black Bulls are. I remember two years ago when Nick joined the look on his face, too bad you weren't there. His face was funny," Asta said
"Yeah, too bad, but I had to show the new recruits to the Silver Eagles hideout, and introduce them," Noelle said, she then smiled and shook her head, "They were so nervous, you'd figure that they were facing a dragon or something."
"Well considering who your partner is, they kind of were," Asta said getting a small glare from his fiancé.
"Hey, just because you don't see him, doesn't mean he can't hear you," Noelle said making Asta laugh, she tried to keep a straight face but couldn't and smiled.
"So are you excited about Fiore," Asta asked
"Yeah, I am. It's been years since I went there, I think I was eight the last time I was there," Noelle said
"I wish, I could go there with you," Asta said
"So do I, I would really love it if you met Lucy," Noelle said
"Well, maybe next time she can come here, and we can meet," Asta said
"That sounds like a plan. Of course, if I have my way, she'll be here for the wedding," Noelle said
Asta smiled at his fiancé, "You be careful out there, ok," Asta said
Noelle groaned, "Not you too, first Nozel, and now you. I'll be fine Asta, don't forget it wasn't just you who beat Lucius," she said
Asta smiled at that, he really does have a strong and powerful fiancé, "I know that. It's just Fiore's magic is different than ours. You run into any trouble, it's gonna be a bit different because these guys aren't limited to one attribute or grimoires," Asta said
"True, but there is also a drawback to that you know, besides I've fought a Fiore mage before," Noelle said, said mage appearing in her head, he is a bald, tall and massive man with a heavily muscular figure, has black eyes with a pair of oval shaped marks above them, he has no eyebrows, he has a black mustache split in two parts, each places diagonally below his nose, a black beard that reaches down his upper chest, he wears a dark kimono with the collar and sleeves adorned by a dark motif consisting of many squares placed in succession, linked together by a dark line and similarly flanked by two more lines, striped, traditional hakama and geta sandals paired with light tabi, and sports a dark mantle draped over his shoulders. She can't help but wonder how he is, she's only met him briefly, but she knows that he is a good man, and wishes him well.
Snapping out of her thoughts, Noelle gave Asta a soft smile, walked up to him, and kissed him, "I'll be fine, I'll be there a week, maximum two weeks. I'm going there for two reasons to discuss Fiore joining the alliance and the second to spend time with Lucy. Unlike you I don't go finding trouble."
"It's not like I try to find trouble," Asta defended making Noelle laugh.
"I'll be back before you know it," Noelle said as she wrapped her arms around Asta, "I promise," with that Noelle sealed it with a kiss which got more heated, as Asta then grabbed her butt squeezing it making Noelle moan in pleasure, soon the two found themselves throwing off their clothes and on the bed with Asta on top of her. She can pack for the trip later.
Three Days Later, Fiore, Cedar
Lucy, Natsu, Erza, Wendy, Happy, and Carla were all running toward the pier to wait for the ship that holds the queen of the Clover Kingdom, they were running because according to Lucy they were late, "Dammit, we're late. I can't believe that we're running late and all because you two had to get into your Dragon Slayer vs. Demon Slayer fights," Lucy said talking to Natsu and Gray.
"Hey, it's not my fault, he started it," Natsu said glaring at Gray
"No, I didn't, you're the one who started it flame brain," Gray said glaring back.
"Aren't we kind of over doing it on the time Lucy. I mean 20-30 minutes early is good, but an hour," Wendy said
"This is the queen of the Clover Kingdom, we don't know her attitude, I'd rather not make a bad impression, and this mission being spent with her looking down on us. Right now, we're 30 minutes early," Lucy said as they stopped at the pier.
"Don't worry Lucy, I'm sure everything will work out right," Natsu said
"It better be, because if it doesn't you can consider the couch as your new bed for the month," Lucy said glaring at her boyfriend making him grimace, Lucy's or their couch isn't so bad. What he really hates is being away from Lucy, he just sleeps better when she is with him being held in his arms.
"Well, it looks like that Natsu may be being sent to the couch for a month," Gray said as he, Erza, Wendy, Carla, and Happy were looking ahead of them.
"Why," Lucy said only for Gray to point toward the water. Lucy looked toward the water only to see the Clover Kingdom ship docked. Immediately Lucy's stomach dropped, the ship is docked, but they're thirty minutes early. Right? Immediately Lucy turned toward her boyfriend who recognized the look immediately, "Natsu, you remember when I said things better turn out right or you're going to the couch right," Lucy said an edge in her voice which everyone noticed.
"Now, now Lucy, we aren't even half-way through the mission. You can't exactly say things haven't gone right yet. I mean sure the beginning isn't good. But I'm sure that the mission will go right," Natsu said laughing, "Please don't send me to the couch."
"Well, well, never thought that I would see the day," a male voice said getting the group's attention. They turned to see Lyon, and Jura walking up to them.
"Lyon," Gray exclaimed seeing his rival.
"The famous Salamander has been tamed by the celestial wizard," Lyon said with a smirk on his face.
"It's been a long time," Erza said
"Hey, no one's tamed me," Natsu said he would have continued but Lucy grabbed his ear, squeezed it tight and pulled it toward her.
"What was that Natsu? Would you like to say that again," Lucy said as she tightened her grip making Natsu scream in pain.
"You didn't let me finish. No one's tamed me but you Lucy," Natsu said
Lucy smiled at the answer, "That's better," she said as she released Natsu's ear. Once his ear was released Natsu rubbed his ear and grumbled to himself, but Lucy ignored him as her attention went to the two new arrivals, "What are you guys going here?"
"We're here on a job," Lyon answered
"This job wouldn't happen to involve the Clover Queen would it," Erza asked curiously.
"As a matter of fact it does," Jura answered Erza's question.
"But that's what I'm here for," Lucy said
"What a coincidence, that's why we're here," a female voice said making the group turn to see Minerva, Sting and Yukino walking forward.
"You guys are here for the same reason," Gray asked
"That's odd," Wendy said
"Indeed," Carla agreed
"Wait a second how long have you been here," Natsu said
"Long enough to know that Lucy has you on a leash dude," Sting couldn't help but laugh.
"Hm, from what I've heard, you're on quite the leash as well," Lucy said
"Well then you're wrong, I'm on no leash," Sting said but just then a hand grabs Sting's ear in a tight hold and pulled him toward the owner to reveal Yukino.
"She heard that from me. You telling me, I'm lying Sting," Yukino said giving Sting a look that he recognizes immediately.
Sting laughs nervously, "Of course not Yukino. You're no liar, perish the thought," he said hoping to stay in his girlfriend's good graces. He may be in charge of the guild, but she is in charge of the relationship.
Much to Sting's relief Yukino smiled, "Good boy," she said releasing his ear.
"Wait, if we're all here on the same mission, does that mean that the queen is with any of you guys," Lucy asked
"Unfortunately, no, we got here thirty minutes ago and found the ship docked," Lyon said
"Same with us, the ship was already docked when we got here," Sting said
"I wonder why the Clover Kingdom hired three guilds, and why wasn't this mentioned in the letter," Lucy said
"Because I sent out two other letters after the one to Fairy Tail was sent," a male voice said
That voice, it was familiar to Lucy, the regal and serious tone, it's been years since she's heard that voice. Not since she was sixteen, but still even though it's been six years (Well six years to her), she can still recognize it as plain as day. And as she turned with the group to see the owner, she saw that she was right.
"It's been a long time, Lucy Heartfilia," Nozel said as he looked to Lucy.
"Nozel Silva," Lucy exclaimed, "It has been a long time. What are you doing here?"
"I'm here with the queen," Nozel answered
"Wait Lucy, you know this guy," Natsu asked as he looked Nozel over, guy looked like a stuck-up snob in his opinion.
"Yes, I know him. His name is Nozel Silva, Head of the House of Silva, one of the three royal families of the Clover Kingdom. The other two families, being Vermillion and Kira," Lucy explained surprising the group, all except for Jura, "If you're here, does that mean that the queen is a Silva?"
"How in the world do you know a royal family," Minerva asked in surprise.
"Our mothers were good friends," Nozel said
"They were best friends, like I told you guys at the guild, I was raised to call them aunt and uncle," Lucy corrected
"You said that your family knew Clover citizens, but you never said they were a royal family," Erza said
"So, you're with the queen," Lyon stated
"We apologize for being late," Jura said
"Same here," Sting said
"As are we," Erza said seeing that Lucy isn't speaking, the only thing she is doing is staring hardly at Nozel.
"Don't be, you got here at the expected time, we just arrived early," Nozel said
"So, where's this queen that we're supposed to guard," Natsu asked only to get an exhausted sigh from Nozel which gained questioning looks from the gathered wizards.
"Is everything ok," Erza asked
"Damn that witch, she's a bad influence," Nozel grumbled to himself, he then looked at the group of wizards, "Unfortunately, I don't know where she is. She left the ship some time ago."
"You lost the queen of the Clover Kingdom," Gray said, unable to believe what he is hearing.
Nozel sighed again, "Obviously, she is feeling playful again. She was restless the entire ship ride here," he said
"If the queen is alone then perhaps, we should look for her. We can't let anything happen to her," Yukino said
"She's right," Minerva said
"Appreciated, but she isn't alone, currently she has two Black Bulls Magic Knights accompanying her," Nozel said, he then sighed, "I'm sure they haven't gotten far, unless that witch had convinced her to venture further in the city."
"Nozel," Lucy said getting Nozel and everyone's attention on her, "How is she?"
"She," Lyon said
"How is Noelle? I haven't spoken to her in a long time. Is she ok? Is she safe," Lucy said
"Who's Noelle," Sting asked, he along with Minerva, Yukino, and Lyon didn't know what they were talking about unlike the rest of the group.
Jura himself had a look of recognition at the name, 'Noelle, it's been a long time since I've heard that name,' he thought
"Noelle Siva, my little sister, the youngest of the Silva's," Nozel said
"Sister by blood maybe, but not by bond. I was more of a sibling to her than you ever were. I was the only one who gave a damn about her," Lucy said
"Lucy, watch your tone, he's royalty," Erza said but Lucy straight up ignored her.
"How is Noelle. Answer me dammit, she better be ok. I swear Nozel, if something happened to her and your responsible, You'll regret it," Lucy said fearful for the little girl who she hadn't seen in so many years.
"Hm, something tells me that you might be able to live up to your threat. Do you think that I would harm my own sister," Nozel said
"Don't deflect the question, I want to know about Noelle," Lucy said
"If you're that curious, why don't you turn around and ask me yourself," a female voice said from behind the group getting all their attention.
They all turned around to see three people, the first person to the right was a 5'8 man with a slender build, light brown hair combed to the right, the tips of the hair dyed green, he is wearing a white under shirt, a light green, loose-fitting tunic with long sleeves and long tails at the back, dark trousers, and a green pair of wide, knee-high boots that lace up the front, covering his shoulders is a black hooded cape with gold accents with a bull head to the left side of the cape. The cape's length stops at his thigh and is attached to him by a cord wrapped around his neck.
To the left is a 5'7 tall woman with wavy mid-back length pink hair that she keeps loose in a lob hairstyle with bangs swept to the left side, purple eyes, full lips and a voluptuous body. She wears a slim, sleeveless, fit, red-violet top and miniskirt with red-violet evening gloves. The design of the top allows her to showcase much of her torso, with a large V-shaped opening exposing part of her breasts and midriff, where it is only connected at one point around her navel region. The cups that hold her breasts have curvy edges. Her miniskirt is very short and only covers her buttocks. She also wears dark purple stockings and garter belts underneath her boots. Her thigh-high red-violet boots are skintight and split at the collars, creating a V-shape. She has on a red-violet hat with a conical crown, which falls onto one side near the end. The hat also has a purple ribbon surrounding its circumference with a pin of intricate design attached to it, and a very wide brim. Covering the woman's shoulders is a black hooded cape with gold accents with a bullhead to the left side of the cape. The cape's length stops at her lower-leg and is attached to her by a cord wrapped around his neck. Sitting on the woman's shoulder is a red cat.
Finally, between the two magic knights is a 5'4 tall young woman with pink eyes, silver hair that fell behind her ears and stopped at the bottom of her neck, she has center bangs covering most of her forehead from the middle of her left eye to the middle of her right eye, the length of the bangs stopping an inch above her eyebrows, she has two side bangs that curve and points just below her eyes, together they frame her eyes nicely. She is wearing a silver shirt with matching pants, a belt with a gold buckle with the clover insignia on it, a pouch on her right side that holds what looks like a book. On her wrists are gold bands, covering her shoulders is a hooded black cape with gold accents, on her left is what looked like a blue clover with gold accents, however the clover is missing its left and middle leaves, there is just the stem and right leaf, on the back of the cape was the same Black Bull head that were on her two companions capes, below the bull head was a silver eagle, the length of the cape stopped at the middle of her lower-leg, the cape is attached by a turquoise cord wrapped around her neck, also around her neck is a necklace that has a dragon's head emblem on it, and to finish it off is a gold crown with blue jewels. Standing on the woman's shoulder is a very small bird with slanted eyes, making it look hostile, it has a pair of sleek wings, a pair of tails that form an arrow at the tip and a black beak. Its feathers are black at the back, white at the front, and red on its face. In addition, it also possesses a pair of horns on either side her head and a pair of long black feathers sticking up from the top of her head.
The group was quiet as they observed the queen, none of them knew what to expect when they met the queen. Some thought that the queen was gonna be some old, stuck-up, demanding hag. Never did they think that the queen would be so beautiful, of course the guys kept those thought to themselves considering two of them had their girlfriends with them. Minerva and Erza were silent, they were gauging the queen's ethernano, it was hard to tell, how much she had. Either she had little, or she was really good at hiding her power. They believe the latter, both being warrior women themselves, they can spot a warrior, and the woman before them was someone who has seen many battles.
Lucy however was different for her reason of being quiet, she was more in shock than anything, because the woman in front of her looked so much like her deceased aunt, "Auntie Acier," Lucy said in disbelief.
Noelle smiled, "Wrong silver haired woman. It's been a long time Sissy," she said, truly happy to see Lucy again.
"Sissy? Is she insulting Lucy," Natsu asked
"Beats me," Gray answered
"Sh…quiet," Erza said as she the rest of the wizards observed the scene in front of them.
The familiar nickname, there is only one person who has ever called her that, a name of endearment from the little girl who she left at the Clover Kingdom when she was sixteen, the little girl who she hadn't spoken to in years, the little girl who she had written and sent a letter to only a couple of days ago. This woman wasn't Acier Silva, there is only one explanation on who this woman is, "Noelle," Lucy asked in hesitant disbelief.
"The one and only," Noelle said smiling.
That smile, a smile that Lucy hadn't seen is years and hadn't realized till now, how much she missed seeing, not able to control herself Lucy tackled Noelle in a hug, her little sister however was able to keep herself from falling and hugged her back, "When did you grow up," Lucy asked tears falling down her face, her voice cracking with emotion.
