Disclaimer: I don't own Black Clover or Fairy Tail, if I did then Asta and Noelle would have gotten together already, so would Yuno and Mimosa, and Natsu and Lucy. I also would have made it that Asta would understand that you can't marry a nun, and it is not about surpassing your limits to do so. Seriously, I know it was supposed to make it funny, but it kind of pissed me off.
Made a bit of a change last in chapter 2. The change was during Noelle and Asta's conversation Asta mention a Yuki. Well, I changed it to Nick. Nick is the grandson of Seihi the head of Saussy Village. That was Asta's and Noelle's first mission where they ran into that ice mage and his lackies who would later be revealed was part of the Eye of the Midnight Sun. And we all know who Nash is, Asta and Yuno's foster brother. For clarity Nick and Nash are the same age, the difference is that Nick tried out for the Magic Knights at 15 and passed while Nash decided to wait to join, so he was 17 when he joined. Both Nick and Nash are Black Bulls.
I also change the Black Bulls robes/capes, I found a picture on pinterest where they are all wearing longer versions of their robes/capes, the only ones who were different were Asta whose robe/cape didn't change, and Noelle who was in her Saint Valkyrie Armor. If you want to see the image then I will try and post the link on my profile page. If that doesn't work then go to the AO3 version of this story, I use the same username. The image will give you an idea on what the capes look like.
I don't know about any of you guys but to me, I felt like that Noelle was more connected to water magic than any other water mage was. It seemed like to me that she has some connection to the underwater temple and the guardian. It's interesting how she is connected to these things, if they continue Black Clover then I think that it would be cool if they explained it. Sadly, though the war is the final arc, so I don't think that will ever be explained, which sucks. That's why I thought that I would write a fanfiction that would explain it. So, what do you think of a Black Clover story that shows Asta and Noelle get together but also explains why Noelle seems more connected to water magic than the other water mages?

Chapter 3: Reunion
Tuesday, January 20, X797, 3:00 pm, Fiore Kingdom, Cedar, ship pier
Noelle and Lucy were hugging each other, both happy to be in the other's embrace, "When did you grow up," a tearful Lucy asked with emotion in her voice.
"That's what happens when thirteen years go by," a smiling Noelle said, if one listens closely then they can hear emotion in her voice. Tears were gathering in Noelle's eyes, but she didn't let them fall, something she learned through her time as queen. A queen must stay strong in public.
Lucy pulled back from the hug and looked at Noelle, she can see the tears welling up in her eyes, on instinct, she brushed the tears aways before they had a chance to spill, "You look so much like Auntie Acier," Lucy commented pulling her hands away from Noelle.
"Thanks, I can see that you changed a bit," Noelle said
"Hope that's a good thing," Lucy said wiping her tears off her face.
Noelle smiled, "It's a very good thing," she said
"Um, excuse, but what is going on," Gray asked getting both Lucy and Noelle's attention.
"That's a question that we're wondering too," Lyon said
"Who is this girl Lucy," Natsu asked
"Peasant, show some respect," Nozel said
"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME," Natsu demanded
"You are in the presence of the queen of the Clover Kingdom. You'd best show respect and kneel," Nozel said
"I'M NOT KNEELING TO ANYBODY," Natsu said as he starts to march toward Nozel.
"Queen of the Clover Kingdom? Is he serious," Lucy asked Noelle in shock.
Noelle smiled, "Um, yeah, I'm the queen. See my crown," she said as she gestured toward the crown that she was wearing. "I think that it is more stylish than the one that Augustus wore. That one just made him look like a pompous ass. Or maybe it was his demeanor in general."
"I can't believe that you are queen. How did you even become queen," Lucy asked
"I challenged Augustus for the crown, he had no choice but to accept. So, we fought, and I beat him," Noelle explained
"You beat him," Lucy exclaimed in surprise.
"It's really not a big deal, the guy may have had high magic power, but he was no fighter. His spells were more for show than anything else. I didn't even have to use my grimoire. I can give you a more detailed story later though," Noelle said
"I'd really love to hear it, and I am really proud of you," Lucy said, and she meant it, the fact that Noelle fought and beat Augustus Kira meant that she finally has control of her magic. Lucy can remember how hard it was for Noelle to control her magic, she would watch her shoot countless water balls at a tree but miss every time. It always frustrated Noelle, and because of this her siblings and other nobles and royals looked down and mocked her. But now she can control her magic, that makes her extremely powerful. She'd really love to see Noelle use her magic.
"Thanks," Noelle said, she then looked to the side, "Um Lucy, do you think that you can tell your friend to leave Nozel alone?"
"Heh," Lucy said, and when she looked, she saw Natsu trying to pick a fight with Nozel who was just blatantly ignoring him which is pissing off the dragon slayer even more. "You sure? I mean, I wouldn't mind seeing Nozel have the crap kicked out of him."
"I'm sure," Noelle said, remembering that Lucy doesn't know anything about what happened with Vanica, Megicula, and the curse. She'll have to tell her later, so Lucy can understand the position that Nozel had been in for years. "Please."
Lucy sighed, she then looked at Natsu, "Natsu, cut it out now," she said getting Natsu's attention on her.
"But…," Natsu said
"No buts, get over here," Lucy said
"But he…," Natsu said
"Natsu," Lucy said giving Natsu a look that said disobey me and regret it.
Natsu grumbled, throwing one last glare at Nozel as he stalked away, headed toward Lucy.
"Um excuse me," Erza said interrupting the two women getting their attention once again, "I don't mean any disrespect your majesty, but what is going on?"
Lucy looked at her friends and smiled a bright smile at them, "Erza, this is Noelle. I told you about her a couple of days ago. She's my little sister," Lucy explained surprising the other wizards at her declaration of Noelle being her little sister.
'She sounds just like Charlette,' Noelle thought, somewhat shocked as she heard Erza's voice. She actually thought Charlette was here when she heard Erza's voice. A quick glance at her brother showed that he as well was shocked by Erza's voice. Clearing her throat a little, getting the wizards attention, Noelle stepped forward, "I am Noelle Silva, Queen of the Clover Kingdom," Noelle then gestures toward Nozel, "The one that your friend tried to pick a fight with is Nozel Silva, my older brother, and royal advisor." Noelle then gestured toward Vanessa and Finral, "These two are Black Bulls magic knights, Vanessa Enoteca from the Forest of Witches."
"Hey there, I see a lot of handsome young men here. If any of you want to play, I'm available," Vanessa said winking at the men in the group, and making Lucy and Yukino swear that if she touches their men, they'll bring the wrath of the Zodiac upon her.
"This is my cat Rouge," Vanessa introduced as she gave her cat a pet making her purr.
"And this is Finral Vaude, head of the House of Vaude." Noelle introduced
"It is wonderful to meet you all, especially the fine ladies here," Finral said, just then his eyes widened, and he starts to bang his head on the ground, "Bad Finral…bad…you're married…dammit…remember Finess."
"Um, is he ok," Lucy asked as she and the group all watch Finral bang his head.
"I honestly don't know how to answer that," Noelle said with an annoyed sigh. Even after all these years Finral still can't help himself, really at this point he needs a therapist.
Natsu and Sting who were next to their respective girlfriend wrap their arms around their waists and pull them close to them.
'He touches her, I'll burn him alive/He tries anything, and I'll snap his neck,' Natsu and Sting thought as they glared at Finral hoping that he'll get concussed with the number of times he is banging his head.
"Anyway, this is Nero, she's an anti-bird," Noelle introduced the bird on her shoulder.
"It's nice to meet you all, these are my friends, my guildmates from Fairy Tail, Erza Scarlet, Gray Fullbuster, Wendy Marvell, Happy, and Carla," Lucy introduced her guild, she then wrapped her own arm around Natsu in a show of possessiveness because she sees Vanessa eyeing him up, "This is Natsu Dragneel my boyfriend," Lucy said sending a glare at Vanessa who just chuckled at the silent warning. Noelle herself rolls her eyes at Vanessa and her antics, "And these are our friends from the other guilds, from Lamia Scale is Lyon and Jura, and from Sabretooth is Sting, Yukino, and Minerva," Lucy introduced, gesturing toward everyone.
"It's nice to meet you all," Noelle said
"The pleasure is ours your majesty," Erza said bowing in respect along with Gray, Wendy, Happy, and Carla
"We're honored that you have chosen us to be your guard," Minerva said bowing followed by Sting and Yukino.
"As are we," Lyon said bowing along with Jura.
Noelle smiled, "Well, thank you for taking the job," she said, 'Even though it was just supposed to be Lucy here. I know that you're the one responsible for this Nozel.' Deciding to deal with that later Noelle walked up to Jura and gives him a Clover salute, "It's been a long time Jura."
Jura smiled at Noelle, "Indeed it has Captain, or I guess it's your majesty now," he said making Noelle laugh a bit.
"Just call me what you're comfortable with," Noelle told Jura who nodded.
This interaction gets questioning looks from all but the Clover natives. "When I was told that we would be protecting the Clover Queen, I never thought that it would be you. Last time we saw each other you didn't look like you were ready to leave the field."
"It was necessary for me to take the crown. You're not falling for anymore pretty faces are you," Noelle asked teasingly
Jura laughed and shook his head, "No, once was more than enough for me," he said
"Noelle, you know Jura," Lucy asked surprised, she couldn't help but wonder how in the world her little sister knows the Wizard Saint, and why did Jura call her captain.
"We ran into each other a couple of years ago," Noelle said
"Wait, Jura. Are you saying that she is the one…," Lyon said getting a nod from Jura.
"Yes, she is the one," Jura said making Lyon look at Noelle in disbelief and respect.
"We should get going," Nozel said getting everyone's attention.
"He's right, we need to make some distance before nightfall," Erza said
Nozel looked at Lyon and Jura, "I trust that you got the transportation that was asked for," he said
"Yes, it is waiting nearby," Lyon responded
'Hm, he sounds a little like Patri. We ran into someone who sounded like Charlette, another who sounds like Patri. What's next, are we gonna run into someone who sounds like Captain Yami,' Noelle thought to herself.
"Excellent, then let's proceed," Nozel said, after making a slight detour to the ship where the group got the luggage which honestly wasn't much, three suitcases and a briefcase which Noelle herself grabbed. Jura and Lyon then led the group to where the transportation is. During the walk Noelle and Lucy made sure to walk next to each other, both smiling as they talked, "So, you became a magic knight," Lucy asked a little concerned, being a magic knight was a dangerous job, call her protective but she doesn't like the thought of Noelle being in any sort of danger.
"Yeah, I joined when I was fifteen," Noelle answered
"If you wouldn't mind me asking your majesty. But what's a magic knight," Wendy asked a question that was on some of the wizards minds.
"Magic Knights are like the guilds that Fiore has, however instead of being paid by the client, we work and get paid by the kingdom. It's a magic knight's job to protect the people and safeguard the country," Noelle answered
"It sounds like a combination of the guilds and the royal military," Yukino said
"Or the rune knights," Gray said
"That's exactly what it's like. There are nine squads, the squads are the Black Bulls, Silver Eagles, Golden Dawn, Crimson Lion Kings, Blue Rose Knights, Aqua Deer, Coral Peacocks, Green Praying Mantises, and the Purple Orcas. Each squad has a captain which is the equivalent of a guild master." Noelle explained
"I've never heard of the Black Bulls before or the Golden Dawn. Are they new," Lucy asked
"They're a little over 10 years old," Noelle said
"I've heard about the Golden Dawn and Black Bulls. My information is dated, but from what I know, the Golden Dawn was the best Magic Knight squad in Clover while the Black Bulls was…," Erza said but stopped considering they had two Black Bulls with them now, three when she saw the emblem on Noelle's cape.
Noelle, Finral, and Vanessa all smiled, "You can go ahead and say it, the Black Bulls were the worst magic knights' squad in Clover," Noelle said
"We were a squad of failures," Vanessa said
"A disgrace to the magic knights," Finral said
"We were a squad that was filled with a drunk, a cowardly wannabe playboy, a commoner, a guy who was too obsessed with fighting for his own good, a gluttonous girl, a sister obsessed creep, someone whose form you never knew, the creepiest guy you would ever meet who could only mutter when he talked, and a foreigner for a captain," Vanessa said
"We were the lowest of the low, and we had proof of it with our negative fifty stars," Finral said
"Until seven years ago when we gained two new members in a magicless commoner and a failure of a royal," Vanessa said as she smiled at Noelle who smiled back at her, "We never would have thought it, but that day was the day everything changed for the Black Bulls."
"Don't be going giving me the credit, I had so little to do with that. It was all him who changed the Black Bulls," Noelle said
"All who," Lucy asked, she then noticed Noelle smile.
"Asta," Noelle said with love in her voice, "He's the one who changed everything. Always working hard, training hard, never giving up. Despite him being a magicless commoner in a world where magic is everything, Asta's dream is to become the Wizard King. I know he can do it," Noelle said with complete certainty in her voice.
"You damn right he can," Vanessa said smiling.
"It's a tough road to Wizard King, especially with someone like Yuno aiming for it too. But I know he can do it," Finral said
'This Asta must be something if he has the faith of these three, and that look on the queen's face,' Erza thought as she observed Noelle. Erza couldn't help but smile, 'It's the same look that Lucy has when she talks about Natsu.'
Before more could be said they made it to the transportation which was a magic mobile. The magic mobile essentially looked like a black six passengers' limo, "Wow, I'm used to carriages and brooms, this really is nice. It reminds me that in some aspects of technology, Fiore is more advanced," Noelle said
"This is a magic mobile, this will be used as your transportation your highness," Lyon informed
"Alright, before anything else, you four," Nozel said to the Fairy Tail group, "I need to know your abilities."
"Right," Erza said after stopping Natsu from smarting off to Nozel, "I have Requip magic, in other words I can summon armor and weapons from a pocket dimension that I have."
"I'm an Ice Demon Slayer," Gray said
"Ice Demon Slayer," Noelle asked questioning
"I'm an ice wizard, but my magic is especially suited for slaying demons," Gray said
'I wonder if that would make him an arcane stage mage,' Noelle thought
"I'm a Fire Dragon Slayer," Natsu informed
"And I'm a Sky Dragon Slayer. Our magic is suited to slay dragons," Wendy informed
"I would assume that your attributes would be fire and wind then," Nozel said
"Essentially yes, I'm also a healer," Wendy said
Nozel nodded, "Ok, this is how it is going to be, Yukino will be the driver, Finral will be in the passenger seat, Noelle, Lucy, and Vanessa will be in the back," he said, Nozel then looked at Vanessa, "I want that cat next to Noelle at all times."
"Yes Mr. Grumpypants," Vanessa said, she then looked at the Rouge, "Hey Rouge, do me a favor and hangout with Noelle for a while."
Doing as her master said, Rouge jumped over and onto Noelle's unoccupied shoulder, and rubbed her cheek against Noelle's, "Hey Rouge," Noelle said smiling as she pets the red cat.
"What's with the cat," Sting asked wondering why it was so important for the red cat to be near Noelle.
"Hm, it's in case the rest of you fail at the job that you were given," Nozel answered
'It must do something. I wonder what,' Minerva thought
"I want Gray and Sting to walk beside the driver and passenger doors, you two can choose what side you want, I want Minerva and Erza on the side Noelle is on, the dragon slayers will be on the opposite side, Jura and Lyon will be walking behind the magic mobile, and the cats can fly in the air," Nozel said
"And what exactly are you gonna do, bird-braid," Natsu said getting a giggle from Lucy.
Nozel felt a tick form at being called that ridiculous name that the foreigner calls him, "I'm gonna be in front of the vehicle, if anyone tries to attack, I can shield or deflect it with my mercury magic," he said
"Mercury magic, that sounds interesting," Sting commented
"Time is of the essence," Nozel said, he then looked at his sister, "Noelle please get in the magic mobile."
"Yes brother," Noelle said as she, Lucy, and Vanessa got in the limo.
"Whoa snazzy," Vanessa said as they entered the limo.
"I'll say," Noelle said
"Ohhh look, they got alcohol," Vanessa said when she opened a little fridge to show wine bottles.
"Don't even try it witch, we don't need you under the influence," Nozel said making Vanessa pout.
"I'm sure that the palace has tons of alcohol Vanessa," Noelle said trying to cheer up one of her older sisters. Then again, she can't help but wonder why she is enabling Vanessa with alcohol when really, they should probably get her to quit. The three women heard two doors open and close, a window the slides down and shows Yukino and Finral.
"Hey girls," Finral said winking
"Keep that wink to yourself insect," Noelle deadpanned at Finral.
"I'm your…," Finral said but was interrupted
"No, you're not. Not for the past three years," Noelle interrupted making Finral cry animatedly
"Hope everything is to your liking your majesty," Yukino said
Noelle threw Yukino a smile, "It's nice," she confirmed
"We should be off," Nozel said, with that the magic mobile started moving along with the wizards with it. In front of the vehicle was walking Nozel Silva keeping an eye out for any threats toward his little sister, some steps behind him is Sting who is walking right next to the driver seat where Yukino is, behind Sting is Minerva who is walking next to where Noelle is sitting, Erza is walking next to Minerva, Lyon and Jura are walking behind the magic mobile, Natsu is walking next to Lucy's seat with Wendy walking next to him, Gray is walking next to Finral's seat, and Happy and Carla are flying above the magic mobile.
"So, Noelle I have to make sure that I heard correctly, but this Asta guy. You said that he is a magicless commoner," Lucy asked
Noelle nodded, "Yeah he is," she said
"No magic," Lucy asked
"No magic," Noelle said
"None," Lucy asked
"None," Vanessa said
"Not a drop," Lucy asked
"Not a single drop," Noelle said smiling proudly at that.
"No way," Lucy asked
"What's the big deal Luce, so the guy's got no magic. Who cares, there are plenty of people here who don't have magic," Natsu said
"The big deal is that in Clover magic is everything, and you need magic to be a magic knight. It's in the name, Magic Knight. And last time I checked magic knights are filled with nothing but nobility and royalty, a commoner becoming a magic knight is unheard of much less a magicless commoner. How is that even possible," Lucy said
"When you were last at Clover, that is how it was, but some things have changed since then," Noelle said, she then grinned, "And some commoners just don't know their place."
Vanessa laughed, "Halleluiah to that," she said making Noelle laugh in response.
"Here here, if we didn't have Asta, the Black Bulls would still be at the bottom," Finral said
"Noelle had a hand in that too, having a powerful mage like her part of the squad really helped us," Vanessa said
"Plus, she and Asta were some of the only ones who were interested in doing any work," Finral said
"Sounds like you made an impression, your majesty," Erza said, wondering how powerful Noelle is. If she is royalty, then she must be very powerful.
"I didn't do anything, Asta's the one who inspired everyone including me," Noelle said
"Don't go selling yourself short, you had one hell of a work ethic. You and Asta were always out there training, trying to get better. It was always impressive seeing you train day-in and day-out, and look where all that training got you today," Vanessa said
"It was only because of the Black Bulls and Asta that I got to where I am. If not for you guys, then I would still be the disgrace of the House of Silva," Noelle said getting some questing looks from the wizards.
"How would you have been a disgrace," Natsu asked curiously.
Noelle couldn't help but kick herself at that, Vanessa, Finral, and Lucy are all aware of her family's abuse towards her, so that just slipped out. The other wizards, however, don't know about what happened to her and her family and don't want any of them to think lowly of Nozel. "That's not important," Noelle said trying to save her brother.
"I'd disagree," Lucy said as her face grew hard.
"Things change, the important thing is that I'm no longer the disgrace of my family, and I have the Black Bulls and Asta to thank for that," Noelle said ending it there, though many of the group can't help but be curious. Why would the queen be a disgrace to her own family?
The group continued on until eventually they exited the city and started traveling down a dirt road. During this time Noelle had gotten out some paperwork from the briefcase that she had brought with her in preparation and started to look through it.
Lucy watched Noelle as she looked through the papers, it's still hard to believe that this is Noelle, "It's still so hard to believe that we're together again, and that you're the queen of the Clove Kingdom. We have so much to catch up on," Lucy said as she smiled at Noelle.
Noelle who was looking over some papers on her lap, looked at Lucy and smiled at her, "We do have a lot to catch up on, it's been years, I bet that you've had tons of adventures since you came out of your stasis," Noelle said
Lucy laughed, "Believe me, we have, maybe too many adventures," Lucy said making Noelle chuckle.
"I'd like to hear them all, I know some of what you've done. You've participated in the Grand Magic Games, wrote a book, and even won an award for it. And I have to say, you deserved that award," Noelle said
"You've read my book," Lucy asked surprised getting a nod from Noelle.
"Of course, your books are best sellers in Clover. They've been made a cult classic; I'm really looking forward to your next book. You were always a great storyteller. I'll never forget the stories you used to tell me," Noelle said
"Wouldn't you have been too old to be told stories," Natsu asked
"Idiot. Have you forgotten the seven-year stasis we were put in when we were on Tenrou Island. While we stayed the same when we were in the stasis everyone else aged seven years. She would have been a little kid when Lucy told her stories," Gray said
"The last time I saw you, you were nine years old, now we're the same age, and you look just like Auntie Acier, all you really need is for your hair to be longer and put it in a ponytail and you'd be an exact replica," Lucy said
"Believe it or not, but Noelle did have long hair, however instead of a ponytail, she had it in pigtails," Vanessa said
"Really," Lucy asked interested.
Noelle nodded, "When I got older and my hair grew, I wasn't entirely comfortable having it down, so I decided to tie it up. At first, I tried a ponytail, but Nebra and Solid didn't like it. They let me know when Solid grabbed the band that held it together and roughly pulled it off. After that they told me that I wasn't allowed to have my hair in a ponytail because I looked too much like mother, and I had no right to look like her, not after what I did," she said, talking about what happened as if she was talking about the weather.
As Noelle spoke Lucy's eyes hardened and her fist clenched. She should have been there for Noelle, and encouraged her, tell her that if she wanted to put her hair in a ponytail then that was her right. But she wasn't there, she was on that damned island in a suspended sleep.
"After that, I put my hair in pigtails, it wasn't so bad. I wound up liking the look, I just didn't look like me without the pigtail. I stuck with the pigtails till I was twenty, after that I decided to have it cut," Noelle said
"You didn't have it cut, because of your siblings," Lucy asked hopefully
"It's your hair," Minerva said reminding the women that she is there, "You can do whatever you want with it."
"I know, I even put my hair in a ponytail a couple of times. Nebra never liked it, even demanded that I take it out, but I refused. I no longer feared my siblings or cared about their acceptance of me. I grew out of that long ago, I wanted to try putting my hair in a ponytail and that is what I was doing. Of course, Nebra didn't like it, but I didn't care, that was her problem not mine," Noelle said making Lucy smile at knowing that her little sister no longer fears her siblings.
"If you didn't care what they thought anymore, then why did you cut it. I bet you looked really beautiful with longer hair," Wendy said as she thought of Noelle with longer hair.
Noelle smiled at Wendy's comment, "Thank you for the compliment, Wendy. As for why I cut my hair, it was for individuality, everyone always told me how much I looked like my mom that I could be mistaken for her, the older I got, the more it was said. Well, I didn't want that, don't get me wrong I am proud of being her daughter. I know I'll always bare a resemblance, but I don't want to look like Acier, I want to look like Noelle, so I cut my hair," Noelle said
Lucy nodded, "I can understand that I look like my mom, but I want to look like Lucy, so I always put my hair in different styles. There's nothing wrong with wanting some individuality," Lucy said
"So, be honest. What do you think of my hair," Noelle asked gesturing toward her hair.
Lucy smiled, "I think you look beautiful," she said
"Thanks, Asta thought the same way," Noelle said
"Oh, Asta? Does his opinion matter that much," Lucy asked curiously.
Vanessa smirked at hearing the question, "Oh, wouldn't you like to know," she said
"I would like to know. So, does it," Lucy asked
Noelle smiled a smile that is familiar to Lucy, the reason why it is familiar is because she's seen that smile on her own face thousands of times whenever she thought of Natsu.
"It means everything to me. You see, Asta, he's my fiancé," Noelle answered
"WHAT," Lucy exclaimed in shock, "Fiancé. You're getting married?"
Noelle nodded, as she showed the engagement ring on her finger which Lucy took a moment to look at, the engagement ring didn't have a diamond on it but a sapphire stone instead, "We've been engaged for some time now," she said
Vanessa laughed, "Some time, Noelle, you and Asta have been engaged for three years," she said
"Three years," Lucy repeated
"Congratulations, your highness," Yukino said
"Yes congratulations," Erza said, the rest of the group other than Nozel and Jura who already knew gave their congratulations to Noelle.
"Hm, thanks, I was ecstatic when he asked. I mean it was about time, after knowing each other for three years and dating a year after that while giving some obvious hints that even someone as oblivious as Asta could read," Noelle said
"I presume that you're still having trouble getting married Captain," Jura said
"A little trouble, but not as much, nowadays its just my duties as the queen," Noelle said
"Heh, three years, that's how long you and I have been dating Lucy," Natsu said
"Yeah, three years," Lucy said, she's happy for Noelle, that she was able to find someone that she would want to spend the rest of her life with. But dammit Natsu was right, 'They had known each other for three years, and dated a year after that until they got engaged and have been engaged for three years. Natsu and I had known each other for two years (technically nine years) until we started dating, we've been dating for three years, AND HE HASN'T EVEN PROPOSED TO ME YET.'
"Three years heh, that's interesting," Noelle said smiling at Lucy.
Lucy put on a strained smile, "Yeah, Natsu and I have been dating for three years. Been doing nothing but dating for three years. Been boyfriend and girlfriend for three years. Nothing else for three years," Lucy said stressing the last three sentences.
Noelle could hear the strain in Lucy's sentences, 'Hm, sounds like Lucy would like to do more than date,' she thought, "It seems like we have the same taste in men," Noelle commented
"Oh," Lucy said
"Reckless, obnoxious, loud, competitive, idiotic, dense, muscleheads," Noelle said
"That so describes Natsu," Lucy said as she, Noelle, and Vanessa laughed.
"HEY," Natsu said offended by the description.
"Oh my god, there's another Natsu out there," Gray said
"Shut it stripper," Natsu retorted
"So, Lucy, I have a question for you," Noelle said
"Yeah what," Lucy asked
"Do you remember your promise," Noelle asked
"Promise," Lucy asked, in response Noelle took something from her pack and handed it to Lucy. Once it was in her hands Lucy saw that it was a wedding invitation.

After reading the invitation Lucy does feel joy for Noelle, she truly is happy for her little sister. She had found someone that loves her and cherishes her dearly and from the look on Noelle's face, she returns the feelings full force. Just then she remembers something, the promise that she made.
Flashback – Clover Kingdom, 14 years ago
A 15-year-old Lucy was walking around the Silva palace looking for Noelle, "Noelle. Where is that girl, it's time for bed," Lucy said, she turned her back for a moment and Noelle disappears. Just as she was gonna make a turn, she was run into by a little silver haired eight-year-old girl. "Noelle, there you are. Come on it's time for…," but Lucy stopped as she got a look at Noelle's face and saw tears running down them. Immediately Lucy crouched down to Noelle's height, "Why are you crying sweety? What's wrong?" Noelle, however, didn't answer, instead she ran past Lucy without saying a word. Immediately Lucy turned around, "NOELLE," she called to the running girl. Just then Lucy hears an amused and smug laugh, and immediately her rage starts to grow, she knows that laugh. Lucy turned around and saw Nebra standing there smirking a satisfied smirk as she was laughing, "What did you say to her," Lucy demanded
"Nothing that wasn't true," Nebra said
"It's never true if it came from you Nebra," Lucy shot back at the royal.
"Watch what you say you spoiled brat before I show you what a royal is capable of," Nebra threatened
"Do us all a favor Nebra and stick to kissing your brother's ass. It's the only thing that you're good at," Lucy said which made Nebra growl at the insult. "I don't have time for you," Lucy said, with that she turned around and walked away.
"Get back here and face me you bitch," Nebra said
Lucy however ignored Nebra, she just continues down the hallway, heading toward Noelle's room where she is sure that the little girl is right now. After some time walking, Lucy finally approaches a door, she puts her ear against the door, and hears crying. Lucy softly opens the door and looks inside to see Noelle lying on her bed, crying in her pillow. Seeing this Lucy stepped inside the room, "Noelle," she said softly as she closed the door. Hearing her voice makes Noelle look up from her pillow to look at Lucy, "Hey," Lucy said as she walked up to Noelle's bed and sat on it. "What's wrong sweety?" Noelle didn't answer, instead she threw herself at Lucy, hugging her, and burying her head in her shirt as she continued to cry.
"Oh Noelle," Lucy said as she hugged the girl and brushed her hand through her hair soothingly, "It's ok sweety, I'm here, I'm here." Lucy continued to brush her fingers through Noelle's hair while saying comforting words to the little girl, calming her down. Eventually Noelle's crying just turned to the occasional sob until even that stopped, and now Noelle was just hugging Lucy with her head buried in the blonde's shirt. Lucy didn't mind though, if it would help Noelle then she'd let her hug her for hours. "Are you ok Noelle," she asked getting a nod from the girl. "Are you hurt at all?" That got her a headshake, "Do you want to talk about it? It will help you know, talking about it." Lucy can hear muttering against her chest, she can't help but laugh, "I can't understand what you're saying if you keep your head buried in my chest Noelle."
After a moment Noelle pulls away from Lucy's chest, "Let me see that face," Lucy said as she gently grabbed Noelle's face and looked at her. She can see that Noelle's eyes are red and she has tear stains on her face. Lucy wipes her thumb on Noelle's cheek and kissed her forehead, "Tell me what's wrong."
Noelle sniffled a little until she spoke, "I was walking down the palace when I saw one of the servant boys walk past me, and I thought that he was cute," Noelle said
"Cute," Lucy said in surprise, well she supposes that having crushes at her age isn't abnormal. Everyone has crushes, no matter what their age or social class.
Noelle nodded, "I said it out loud, that's when Nebra approached me and told me not to think about it. That someone like him would never like me, because I'm ugly. I'm ugly, and because of that no boy is ever gonna love me. I'm never gonna get married, and I'm gonna die alone," she said, tears then once again start coming down Noelle's face.
"Oh, Noelle," Lucy said as she hugged the girl again and let her cry, "You know, she's wrong right," she told the little girl.
"Heh," Noelle said as she looked up at Lucy to see her smiling down at her, "What do you mean?"
"Nebra's the ugly one, and she always will be as long as she has that attitude. The only way she will ever get married is if it's political or if the guy (Or girl, Noelle is too young to know about that though) is a gold digger. They will marry her for her social class or her money, but never will they marry her for love. Nebra will never find something that precious, not as long as she is the way she is now," Lucy explained, she then smiled, "You however Noelle are a very cute girl, and within a couple of years you will become a beautiful young woman."
"You think so," Noelle asked uncertainly
"I know so, you'll be beautiful on the outside and the inside, you'll be a real heartbreaker. You're gonna have to be careful though, make sure that the boy doesn't like you for your outer beauty but your inner beauty as well, make sure that he loves you for you. You'll find him though, I know you will, and when you do, he will be the one you will marry. And when you get married, will you invite me to the wedding" Lucy asked, Noelle nodded smiling, Lucy sighed, "Man look at you, you're not even dating yet and already you're having better luck with men than I am."
Noelle giggled, "You'll get married too," she said
"You think so," Lucy asked getting a nod in return.
"Yeah, because your kind, and smart, and beautiful," Noelle said
Lucy smiled at Noelle, "Thank you Noelle," she said
"When I get married will you be my Maid of Honor," Noelle asked
Lucy smiled at the question, "Tell you what, I'll be your Maid of Honor at your wedding, if you be my Maid of Honor at my wedding. Promise," she said
"Promise," Noelle said as she hugged Lucy who hugged her back.
"Ok, time for bed," Lucy said
"Can you stay with me," Noelle asked
Lucy smiled a soft smile, "Of course I'll stay with you, let's get ready for bed and then I'll tell you a bedtime story ok," she said
"Ok," Noelle said smiling brightly, with that the two go up to get ready for bed. They then went to Noelle's bed laid down, covered up, and Lucy tells Noelle a bedtime story until the girl is fast asleep. When she saw that Lucy smiled kissed Noelle's head and fell asleep as well.
Present
Lucy smiled as she remembered that night, 'I think I'm gonna have to explain some things to Levy. Good thing there is a Matron of Honor,' she thought
"You were right, I found him. The man who loved not only my outer beauty but my inner beauty as well. And now in three months, I will marry him," Noelle said, she then looked at Lucy and smiled.
Lucy smiled at Noelle and hugged her, "I promise that I'll be the best Maid of Honor ever," she said, Lucy then pulled away and looked at Noelle, "It's a good thing I have experience with this thanks to Levy."
"Levy, you mentioned her I think," Noelle said, she then sighed, "It's been such a long time since I've read your letters. I can't remember."
"Levy is my best friend, when I'm not with Natsu and the rest of the team, I'm normally with Levy," Lucy said
"Wait, she's your best friend, then what am I," Noelle pouted
Lucy laughed and bumped their shoulders, "That makes you my little sister," she said making Noelle smile at her, "Anyway, Levy got married a few years ago and she made me the Maid of Honor. So don't worry, I'll make sure that your wedding will go on without a hitch."
"You don't have to worry too much about it. Most of the wedding is planned, but there are some aspects that could use the famous Lucy touch," Noelle said smiling at Lucy.
"Well, even if there is little to do, you can count on me to make sure it's done right," Lucy said returning Noelle's smile.
After that Noelle and Lucy started to talk about the wedding with Noelle and Vanessa informing the blonde just what all has been done and what hasn't been done. Lucy is taking it all in and thinking of how things can be improved or should be set up. She'll be sure to put in 100% for this, this is her little sister's wedding, and she's gonna make sure everything goes according to plan.
Just as she was talking Noelle stopped, and immediately looked out her window to the woods.
Minerva noticed Noelle's stare, "Is everything ok, your majesty," she asked
Noelle looked at Minerva and smiled, "I think things are gonna get interesting," she said getting a questioning look from the Sabretooth woman. Noelle however didn't elaborate instead, she turned back to Lucy and Vanessa and rejoins the conversation.
It would be a couple hours later, when the group was passing by a lake which took Noelle's interest, "Hey can we stop, I'd really love to get a closer look at that lake," Noelle said
"We don't have time to dawdle, we need to continue," Nozel said
"Oh, come on Nozel, there's no harm in stopping, everyone's been walking for hours, it will be good for them to rest and eat something," Noelle said
"Heh, I am a little tired," Lucy said
"How can you be tired, when you've been riding in that limo this entire time," Gray retorted
"You're just jealous because I'm the one in the limo," Lucy teased making Noelle and Vanessa giggle.
"No, we should push forward," Nozel said
"Hm, well if you won't give me what I want. I'll get it by other means," Noelle said huffing, she then looked at Lucy, "Hey Lucy, can we stop and rest for a while?"
Lucy laughed, and smiled, "Of course, and the lake is the perfect place, I've been wanting to see your magic since you got here," Lucy said
"Well, there you go everybody, breaktime," Noelle said
"I agree with your brother, we should continue forward," Gray said
"Yeah, well I'm royalty, not to mention the queen, so what I say goes, and I say breaktime," Noelle said flipping her hair.
Gray growled in annoyance at that, "It's best not to argue," Finral said getting Gray's attention, "When Noelle really wants something then she's gonna get it."
"Hope she doesn't use that royalty card too much," Gray said which got a laugh from Finral and Vanessa.
"She says it at least 20 times a day, so you better get used to it," Vanessa said making Noelle pout.
"Traitors, Finral I'm sending you to the dungeon when we get back to Clover," Noelle said
"WHAT! WHY JUST ME? WHY NOT VANESSA TOO," Finral exclaimed
"Oh, I got much worst for Vanessa," Noelle said
"Sorry Noelle, but there isn't a lot that you can do to me that would get to me. Not after what I've been through," Vanessa said
"I'm sending you to C.K.A.R.C.," Noelle said
The is a moment of silence when suddenly, "NOOOOO," Vanessa yelled as she fell to her knees and wrapped her arms around Noelle's waist. She then looked up at Noelle with a pleading, panicked, and fearful look, "PLEASE, ANYTHING BUT THAT, ANYTHING NOELLE. SEND ME TO THE DUNGEON, TORTURE ME, PUT ME BACK IN A BIRD CAGE. ANYTHING, JUST PLEASE DON'T SEND ME TO THAT HELL HOLE," Vanessa begged
"This C.K.A.R.C. must be a horrible place to get that reaction," Sting said wondering and fearing what the C.K.A.R.C. is.
"What is the C.K.A.R.C. exactly," Lucy asked in concern.
"The Clover Kingdom Alcoholic Rehabilitation Center," Noelle said
It is silent for a moment, "What," Lucy asked
"Say that again," Erza said
"C.K.A.R.C., it stands for Clover Kingdom Alcoholic Rehabilitation Center, it's a place for alcoholics go to get help," Noelle said
"How in the world is that a hell hole," Gray asked
"Just the name itself shows the good intentions with it. I mean it helps alcoholics stay sober," Wendy said
"That's exactly what it does, they have group therapy sessions three times a week, and for the more severe cases, they can take in patients and help them 24/7," Noelle explained
"I don't get how this is a bad thing, I mean they're helping you quit drinking," Lyon said
"That's what makes it so terrible, they're trying to make us give up drinking. They're trying to take away my babies. I love getting a cold wine bottle out of the fridge, popping open the cork and then drink the entire thing until it's all gone, and then getting 2, 3, 4 more after that. Getting drunk then stripping myself of my clothes being in nothing but my underwear, and then lying on the couch and pass out, it's the best thing in the world," Vanessa said
Every one of the wizards looked at Vanessa in shock. She really does that? How in the world is this woman in a militaristic group?
Lucy looked toward Noelle, "I'm concerned with the influences that you received over the years. I mean she's kidding right? She doesn't really do that," Lucy said hopefully
Noelle shrugged, "She does that every single day, in that order. I swear the first thing she has to drink in the morning is champagne," she said
"She rarely wears any clothes when at the hideout. Mostly she walks around in her underwear," Finral said
"Both in and outside the hideout," Noelle said
"Even in front of the younger members," Erza asked
"We've seen a lot of nosebleeds over the years," Noelle informed
"Please tell me she didn't influence you," Lucy begged
"I mean, I've known her since I was 15," Noelle said shrugging.
"Girl, I taught Noelle everything about being a woman, and I mean everything," Vanessa said smirking at the last word.
Lucy then puts her hands on Noelle's shoulders making her look at her, "Ignore everything she taught you, I'm here now, and we can start from scratch," Lucy said making Noelle laugh.
"Anyways, about those punishments," Noelle said as she removed Lucy's hands.
"Please don't Noelle, I'm begging you. I love my boos," Vanessa said
"Relax, I was kidding," Noelle said
"You were," Vanessa said
"Yeah, I can't send Finral to the dungeon, no matter how much he gets on my nerves," Noelle said making Finral cry anime tears.
'I'm her…,' Finral thought
"Not for the past three years," Noelle deadpanned, interrupting Finral's thoughts.
'How does she know,' Finral thought
"So, if you can't send Finral to the dungeon then that applies the same for me and the C.K.A.R.C. right," Vanessa said hopefully
"Of course, I'm not sending you to the C.K.A.R.C.," Noelle reassured Vanessa, 'Not now anyway.'
Noelle soon finds herself being hugged to death by an ecstatic Vanessa, "Oh thank you Noelle, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you," Vanessa said
"Vanessa…can't…breathe," Noelle choked out.
"Oh right, sorry," Vanessa said, she then released Noelle and sat back down on her seat.
After that was done everyone stopped, and Yukino parked on the side of the road for other people to pass through if need be. After that Noelle, Lucy, and Vanessa got out of the limo, the group then all headed to the clearing.
"All right, so it's time to eat, let's get out the supplies and get cooking," Erza said, she then summoned a butcher's knife, "I'll cook us up something delicious."
"NO," the Fairy Tail and Sabretooth groups said in alarm. Sometime after Fairy Tail was reunited, Erza and Minerva had that cook off. Minerva made food that sent those who judged it to tears with how delicious it was, Erza's however sent those same judges to the ER to get their stomachs pumped.
"How about we let someone with more cooking experience make the meal," Wendy said, she was one of the people who judged the contest.
"Oh, I can cook something," Noelle offered
"Oh, really you can cook," Lucy said interested
"NO, SHE CAN'T," Vanessa, Finral, and Nozel said
"The only thing you can cook is poison," Vanessa said
"She once took out the entire squad with one meal. It was a war for the bathroom that day, it was very very messy. Some of us couldn't even make it to the toilet, we had to improvise," Finral explained
"I was with the healers for an entire week, and that was after eating a sandwich she made for me. I should have known though; it didn't even look like a sandwich. It just looked like you piled things onto each other. How do you even screw up a sandwich," Nozel said
"Heh, I'm feeling nauseous just thinking about the last time she cooked for us," Finral said
"Why did you have to remind me of that, I still can't eat banana cream pie," Vanessa said
"The last family dinner. Never again," Nozel said
"I'm getting better," Noelle said
"NO," the Clover natives said making Noelle pout.
"Maybe next time Noelle," Lucy said patting Noelle's back comforting her.
"Fine," Noelle said
"I'll cook, just give me the supplies," Minerva said
With that everyone got the supplies and got everything ready. The Clover natives were able to see some of the magic that the Fiore wizards had, such as Gray making ice swords to cut down some firewood, and Natsu using his fire magic to start the fire.
As she was sitting down watching everyone with Rouge sitting to her left, Noelle took a quick glance at the forest again, she then whispered something to Nero who hadn't left her shoulder, the bird then flew off her shoulder and into the air.
"You think that's a good idea," Lucy asked getting Noelle's attention, "Letting your bird fly off like that, something could happen."
Noelle smiled, "Nero can take care of herself," she said, Noelle then got up with Rouge following suit, "I'm gonna be at the lake."
"I'll come with you," Lucy said as she stood up too.
"Ok," Noelle said, with that the two women and one cat walked to the lake, when they finally approached it, they stopped and just looked at it, it was so blue, the sun reflecting off the water, it was so peaceful, so beautiful. "I love being at the lake," Noelle said getting Lucy's attention, "Actually I love being near any body of water."
Lucy smiled, "Yeah, I remember, you would always have me take you swimming. I always found it amusing how much you liked it," she said
"Yeah," Noelle said, she then kneeled down, and scooped up some water in her hands and let it fall off, "I always felt more at home in the water than I did in the palace. The palace itself was hell and unwelcoming, but the water, the ocean it always felt like it was calling out to me. Like an old friend asking me to return," Noelle said
"Even when you were young, and you had no control, I knew that your connection to water was deeper than Nebra and Solid's," Lucy said
"That's because it is. No one's connection with water is deeper than mine," Noelle explained
"Is everything ok Noelle, you seem kind of on edge. I've notice that you've been kind of tense for the past couple hours," Lucy said
Noelle looked at Lucy surprised, "Heh, and here I thought I did a good job hiding it," she said, she then chuckled. "I guess it doesn't matter how long it's been, you're still the best at reading me. It's nothing to worry about." Noelle then stood up and turned toward Lucy, "I'm really happy that I've gotten to see you again."
Lucy smiled and hugged Noelle, "So am I, more than you can ever imagine," she said
Noelle wrapped her own arms around Lucy and hugged her back.
As the two sisters were hugging, they were being watched by some of the other wizards, "You can honestly tell they missed each other," Erza said as she watched the two.
"Lucy told me a little bit about her and Noelle, they were really close, and Lucy really missed her," Wendy said
"I still can't believe that Lucy knew one of the royal families of the Clover Kingdom," Yukino said
"First her father was a personal friend of the Queen Hisui and now she is family friends with a royal family from the Clover Kingdom. Think there is anything else Lucy hasn't told us," Gray said
"Maybe she is a big, ugly, monster in disguise," Happy said snickering.
"You're asking for a beating little dude," Sting said
"Agreed," Lyon said
Just then there is a rustle in one of the bushes which got Lyon's attention, but just before he could do anything, fifteen silhouettes jump out of the bushes, "NOW," one of the silhouettes said, they then sent out their spells down on the group.
"AN AMBUSH," Erza said but it was too late to do anything the spells were too close.
Natsu however didn't pay attention to that, his attention was on the attacks that were heading toward Noelle and Lucy, "LUCY," Natsu said, but before he could do anything, the attacks all hit their mark sending smoke in the air.
"There, mission accomplished. The Clover queen has been eliminated," one of the silhouettes said as he and his group landed.
