First off to any new readers of the future: this announcement here is written about 2 years after the release of chapter 1 of this story. Things have changed so please read the next bit before starting

So, I am back. Atleast I feel like coming back at the moment.

Soooo- yeahhhh... the non hiatus promise was kind of a fail huh? Yeah, I'm truly sorry about that now... but i didn't feel it anymore. Due to my lack of experience, I made a lot of mistakes in my story that made it harder to write. But that doesn't matter now, does it?

Okay, here is what will happen:

I will:

- reread through my entire story and look what I did wrong, where i couldve made it mote comfortable to read (design wise, when do i start a new line, when do i use stuff like "umm-" and so on)

- Stop the current story (don't worry too much, read on)

- make a reworked version.

This reworked version will have a few differences to the old one, so first off the small ones:

- slower pace of romance (I took away wayyy too much in the hunter exam already, Killua and Yuri would've probably gotten together in Heaven's arena arc already, so how was I supposed to fill the entire rest of HxH with romance when they're already together? I could've added some drama stuff like misconceptions, revelations etc. but not for the whole time)

- maybe a new style of expressing speech, I don't know yet if i will keep the current stuff like how { *insert character: } means whispering.

- it will most likely contain M rated content.

And then we have one big difference:

I will replace the main character. And as much as I love my myself created Yuri, she doesn't fit into the picture I imagine my story to be anymore. I don't know yet exactly if and how I will change them personality and background wise, but what is certain IS that the reworked story will be Male OC / Killua instead of female.

If you want reasoning, read on. But it's not necessary.

So, recent days I got into BL anime and danmei donghua (That's basically chinese BL anime, though those are way more bromance stylish because China has a government that isn't the biggest fan of sexual minorities), and so i wanted to style my own story in such a way too. Also, when i was a sole reader on this platform, I read the story "The Shadow Hunter" by Cazark, which was finished but then remade into the new story "The Kopīkyatto Shadow" plus its sequal "Eyes always watching", which is also a male OC/ Killua story that i really enjoyed (I really recommend it if you didn't read it yet, both versions)

So yeah. I feel like letting my feelings out by writing again. I will not make any promises again as that was a mistake, but still, I would love to have your support even after this revamp, but of course, I do not condemn you if that kind of story wouldn't be your cup of tea anymore.

I also want to thank anyone who messaged me, even if I couldn't accept offers, as that showed me that people actually see that I exist on this platform, which made me really happy.

I don't know when I will begin publishing the new story, and I do not know the name yet.

I think i want to produce and publish a few chapters at once, and when that time comes, I will update this chapter 1 again.

Yuri Darkzyre is on her way to the Hunter Exam, as she needs the Hunter license to escape from her family's business. But once she arrives there, nothing goes as she planned.

And there it is! The beginning of a new era for me. I just decided to make this story and also just created an account, that's why im writing this on my notepad for now as i need to wait 12h until i can publish. So, I'm completely new to this. I've never written a real story so far, only some german exams (and maybeee I wasn't the best at these lol). BUT: I WILL END THIS STORY! I have no real length goal, but I'm gonna write through the whole 2011 Anime and might add a continueation later. Also: I'm German. That means, I'm not as good as a native english speaker, pretty close to that in terms of writing but I've never used ' and such when i was writing via phone or keyboard. Because of that, you might see a bunch of u (=you), ur(you're/your), maybe some i instead of I and such, but I'm trying my best to not do any mistakes. But there probably will be some, so PLEASE review each chapter and tell me if you find any mistakes. And especially you there, the guy that only reads and thinks "I don't give a fuck about that mistake, someone else will for sure show it anyway..." because that's basically past me. You dont even need an account for reviewing! You just need an Email, and that's it... If you're scared of spam, just make a trash Email where you dont care about spam.

Chapter 1: Departure x and x a journey

Yuri's POV:

Run. Run. Run! Run! RUN. RUN. RUN! RUN! RUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRU-

'I did it... I just did it. I escaped from this horrible so-called family... But i need to run further away... I know my sister can somehow feel me even if I'm out of the mansion. But i should be safe as soon as I'm past the mountain... I'm so glad my plan worked. Making a fire as distraction wasn't such a bad idea after all, huh?

Anyway, I need to sign in for the Hunter exam. I've stolen two million Jenny, that should be enough to live for a year...'

[1 hour later]

Yuri enters an airship to a location that she thinks is the place of the exam. There aren't many passengers, as the flight is quite expensive, but Yuri could easily pay with the money she got. She takes a seat and thinks about her following plan. She just didn't know that this plan would get crushed by fate...

[2 hours later]

Once the ship lands at the port, Yuri gets out and inhales a big amount of fresh air. She is in a small town, with multiple colourful houses. On the other side of the port she sees a young, spiky-haired boy around her age, that wears a weird green jacket, another young, blonde boy and a black haired man in a dark blue suit. It seems like they're listening to the captain of a ship.

'Maybe I could get some information from them, so I should probably tag along with them. If they're a burden to me I can always leave them behind...'

Yuri: "Hey, I'm Yuri, what's your name?"

Green-jacket-boy: " I'm Gon! That's

Kurapika (points to the blonde) and that's Leorio (points to the man in the suit)!"

Leorio: "Hey, Gon, I don't care if you tell other strangers your name, but leave me out of this! I don't trust anyone so quickly!"

Kurapika: "We only know each other for a few hours, Leorio-san. If you trust us, then that statement of yours is false."

Leorio: "Oh shut up, Kurapika! And didn't i tell you to call me Leorio?"

'Okay, that Kurapika seems to have a brain, but that Leorio is a complete dumbass! Hopefully he will act different later... And that Gon seems very friendly and open, he probably won't hesitate to tell me everything he knows. My god, I always just think about myself! Bad habit from my family... I need to get rid of that!

Gon: "Hey Yuri, what are you doing here? We're going to the Hunter Exam!"

'As if that isn't obvious...'

Yuri: "Well, I am aswell. Would you mind if I tagged along with you?"

Gon: "Of course not! Let's be friends!"

'OKAY! I didn't expect that. I guess "open" was very underestimated...'

Yuri: "Okay, why not!"

Gon: "Yayyy!"

Leorio: "GON! You can't just invite anyone into our group without our decision!"

Gon: "But Leoriooo!"

'My god... I guess this won't become boring though'

[5 minutes later]

Gon: "Okay Yuri, the captain told us to go to the big tree on that mountain there! So let's go!"

Leorio: "But there's literally a bus to the location we need to go!"

Gon: "I don't care! I follow the captain's advise!"

[10 Minutes later]

!Leorio! ( !x! means shouting): "HEY! GUYS! WAIT FOR ME!"

'What an idiot...'

Kurapika* ( *x* means whispering): "Ignore him, Yuri"

'Now I'm sure this won't get old too soon...'

[1 hour later]

Gon: "Look! There's a house!"

-Scream-

!Leorio!: "QUICK! Help the people!"

There are 2 alien-looking furry monsters, one attacked a man and the other one kidnapped a woman.

Kurapika: "Gon, Yuri! You come with me and rescue that woman! Leorio! You want to become a doctor, right? Help that man!"

All three at once: "Yes!"

And so they did what Kurapika said.

They later find out that this was just a test, and the monsters let them all pass. So thes brought Yuri, Gon, Kurapika and Leorio to another city. Then they tell the four to follow them into a restaurant. The male said a special code, so that they all got into a room that they later find out is an elevator. Once they arrive at the end of the elevator, the door opens and they see many strange, creepy, funny and strong looking guys.

'This exam won't be easy...'

Note: And that's it for this chapter! I know, 727 words is very very short, but I just started and the chapters will become longer and more detailed. I had very big problems at the beginning, but later I could write way more fluently. I know this is very bad right now, but I'll try my best to make the story entertaining for you guys! So, PLEASE review! I've written this in 1.5 hours so I'll for sure get a 2-5k words chapter out each week! Let me know how you think the story will continue! By the way, I'm writing very spontaneously, I have absolutely NO idea how the story will go on, except some little details. That means: You can inspire me with predictions/suggestions!
