Yuri Darkzyre is on her way to the Hunter Exam, as she needs the Hunter license to escape from her family's business. But once she arrives there, nothing goes as she planned. Disclaimer: I neither own Hunter X Hunter nor its characters.

Well, not much to say here huh? As I said, I'm writing this directly after uploading the 2nd chapter, so nothing really changed, except the fact that my story is the 1st showed if you go into the Anime-HxH tab. So I guess a story only shows up if it's longer published/has 2 chapters? Well, I also got a PM already, which are also welcome, but i prefer reviews as PMs are a bit bugged at me

Ok, since that's clear now, enjoy the 3rd chapter of my beloved story

Chapter 3: She x slowly x understands

Yuri's POV:

Slowly everyone started to come out of the tunnel, to an open, grassy area. As soon as the time for the 1st phase ran out, a gate closed the tunnel, leaving one man behind that almost got to the end, only one second too late.

'Man, this exam is pretty harsh, huh?'

The number of participants dropped significantly, and mostly the people that aren't complete fools are still in the exam.

Satotz: "The first phase isn't over yet. We're going to run through the forest of swindlers, so don't let yourself get fooled."

!Stranger!: "DON'T LET YOURSELF GET FOOLED!"

Leorio: "Satotz already said that!"

Stranger: "That person isn't the real examiner! I AM! He beat me down! In this forest live human-faced-apes, look!"

He shows us an ape with a face like Satotz'

'My god, it's so clear he's an ape himself...'

Crowd: "Who is the real one now?!?" "I knew he isn't human with that walk of his!"

Suddenly, a bunch of cards flies into the direction of the stranger, and also into the direction of Satotz. First dies directly, second easily catches the cards.

'Why do I hear a guitar playing in my head?'

(We all know what she means :) )

Hisoka: "Well, well, now we mow who's the real one. Examiners are professional hunters, that would've easily dodged or caught that simple attack."

Satotz: "This time I see that as a compliment. But if you repeat that, I will let it count as an attack against an examiner, so you will get disqualified."

Hisoka: "Fine fine..."

Kurapika: "That Hisoka is really dangerous, just like Tonpa said. We should try our best to stay away from him..."

And then the 2nd part of the 1st phase started. There were many animals and plants with evil traps, but our 5 protagonists didn't have problems with them.

Gon: "Wait, where did Kurapika and Leorio go? I'll look for them!"

Killua: "Don't worry, just sta-

Yuri: "Forget it, he's already gone..."

Killua: "Man, does that guy even have a brain?!"

Yuri: "Don't ask me... I dont know him much longer than you."

So Killua and Yuri were alone now...

[1 minute later]

Killua: "Hey, I noticed we haven't talked much yet"

'Well of course not, because of your dumb ability! WAIT, maybe he doesn't even know of it! Yes, that HAS to be it!'

Yuri: "You're right! What do you want to talk about?"

Killua: "I don't know... Do you play video games?

Yuri: "Of course!"

Killua: "Oh, not many girls do."

Yuri: "Well, I don't care. I enjoy them!"

Killua: "What do you play?"

Yuri: "Oh, many games. But my favourites are Yakai Clock, Earthrarria and Super Paper Ging!"

Killua: "EXACTLY my taste! You know which games are good!"

Yuri: "I guess. I don't know much about other people..."

Yuri: "Killua?"

Killua: "Hm?"

Yuri: "Do you have some sort of ability?"

Killua: "What?"

Yuri: "Forget it…"

[15 minutes later]

The crowd stops in front of a big closed gate, waiting until the rest of the time for the other participants to reach the goal runs out.

[5 minutes later]

Hisoka just arrived with Leorio on his back, putting him down at a tree. Now Gon and Kurapika arrive aswell.

Killua: "Gon! I already thought you guys wouldn't have made it!"

Gon explains what happened, that Kurapika and Leorio found Hisoka beating up a few

participants, that Leorio wanted to fight him then and that Gon safed him and ended up fighting Hisoka aswell.

Yuri: "I don't like that clown…"

Killua: "Me neither"

While we have been waiting I've been thinking about Killuas ability, but i just can't find a clue! It's annoying!

Leorio wakes up and asks what happened.

[5 minutes later]

Leorio: "Hey, Yuri, can I talk to you real quick?"

Yuri: "Yeah, sure!"

They walked out of the crowd and a few 15-20 meters away.

Leorio: "I need to ask you something…"

Yuri: "What?"

Leorio: "Do you like Killua?"

Yuri: "Huh? Of course I do! He's a friend!"

Leorio: "Oh, you misunderstood. I mean the like like."

Yuri: "What are you talking about???"

Leorio: "You really don't get what I mean, do you? I mean the romantic like!"

Yuri: "OH!"

Leorio: "Oh."

Yuri: "I still don't understand…"

Leorio: "WHAT?!"

Yuri: "I'm joking! You should've seen your face!"

Leorio: "You're evading my question!"

Yuri: "Oh, no I do not."

Leorio: "Are you sure? I see you staring at him as if he's an angel all the time…"

Yuri: "Wait wha-"

-Pause-

Yuri: "Oh my god, I never thought about that…"

Leorio: "Ok, wait, I'm going to ask you some questions, please answer them truthfully!"

Yuri: "Okay??"

Leorio: "1. Do you think Killua is pretty?"

Yuri: "Yes"

Leorio: "2. Do you think he's cute?"

Yuri: "Yes…"

Leorio: "3. Do you enjoy his company, especially if you're alone together?"

Yuri: "If I think about it now… Yes"

Leorio: "All signs positive… You're in love, Yuri!"

Yuri: "Oh no….."

Leorio: "That's nothing bad! And you can't change it! It's the opposite: You have to make the best out of it! You should spend as much time as possible with him to get closer! Wait, I'm

going to tell Kurapika and Gon to leave you two alone as much as they ca-"

!Yuri!: "YOU'RE NOT GOING TO DO THAT! IF YOU DO, I WILL KILL YOU WITH MY

HANDS!"

Suddenly a malicious aura streamed out of Yuri, putting deep fear into Leorio.

Leorio: "OKAY! It's fine! Already forgot it!"

'Thank god… This is bad enough already… but maybe Leorio's right? I don't know anymore… THIS IS ALL JUST A MESS!

Leorio's POV:

Hehe, she thinks that atleast I'm going to do everything in my power to help her!

The two go back to the crowd, and Yuri says she needs a minute for herself at the moment.

So this is the perfect opportunity for Leorio…

Leorio: "Hey, Kurapika, Gon, I need you two to give Yuri and Killua as much time alone as possible! Don't ask why, and don't tell anyone about this conversation!"

Kurapika and Gon: "Okay? We will do that!"

Yuri's POV:

Man I'm so fucked up! Why does this happen to me! Why is the world so unfair and nice at the same time! Why can't it just decide between these two fucking adjectives!

So, that's it for chapter 3! Things are getting spicy slowly! Will Yuri make a move? Or will she try to ignore her love towards Killua? Noone knows! Except me of course

I got this chapter in two parts right now, so I cannot count the words, but I think it should be around 750 words long. I would've loved to continue, but this is just such a perfect end! Also

I really like having a depressed/annoyed thought of Yuri as the last sentence of a chapter
