Chapter 3: The start of a new job chance
After running away from the police Stolas got to work in finding a place for him and Gekko Moria to stay as he and the chibi started at a hotel in hopes for a room to stay in as he asked the receptionist a beautiful Nephelim named Charlie Magne "Stay here tonight? I am afraid I dont understand your parents are with you are they?" She asked confused as Stolas shook his head "No ma'am, I'm alone I've come to this town because I'm a new witch in training" said Stolas.
"Do you have some identification to show you are a witch?" Asked Charlie as Stolas looked down "Never mine mame" he said as he left and tried the apartment buildings "I am sorry but there are no openings" said a angel like sinner named Shawn (Psych) as Stolas thanked him and left as soon they sat at the park as they sat on a step near a statue as the poor owl witch sat there with a sad look on his face as he saw the other citizens look at him and avoided him like he was a weirdo, not to mention he almost caused trouble.
"Stolas are you gonna eat something?" Asked Moria "No *gives his sandwich* you can have it I'm not hungry" he said sad "Where do you think we are gonna stay tonight?" Asked Moria as Stolas wanted to say something but saw a police car and quickly wrap his sandwich up "Come on we better go" said Stolas thinking the police were looking for him as he and his familiar quickly ran off.
The sun slowly sets as Stolas walked on the sidewalk with Moria near his heels but they haven't founded a place to stay as they soon walk past a bakery with a beautiful view of the ocean over a brick railing as Stolas leaned on it sighing "what can I do?" He pondered as Moria got on his shoulder "Hay now why dont we find another town? I'm sure there will be bigger and better places, ones that are friendlier then this place" said Moria.
"Oh dear oh my goodness" said a female voice as the duo turned and saw a female imp with black hair cut in a bob wearing a yellow shirt with a apron on front and blue jeans but judging from the swollen belly she was pregnet with a impling as she was holding a pacifier and spots a women pushing a baby carriage "Hay wait! Mame you forgot your baby pacifier!" She yelled with a southern drawl but the angel women didnt hear her as she sighed "Oh that poor baby, without this the baby will wake up and cry all the way home, I better go to her myself" she said as she walked back to the baker and opened the door to her customers "I'm sorry folks, but can you wait a minute? I'll be right back" she said going to get to the women but it was hard because of her swollen pregnet belly as she panted a bit "Excuse me" said Stolas walking up to the imp female "But would you like me to deliver it for you?" He asked gently surprising the imp female "What?" She said startled "The woman with the baby carriage just went around the corner I can reach to her in no time" said Stolas as the imp female "Really? You'd do that? Thank you so much" she said giving him the pacifier "Your welcome Moria hold on" he said as he got on is broom as he jumped on and jumped off the railing as she gasped and looked down and saw him flying off "Amazing" she said as she never saw a witch before only in tales her ma told her and her siblings.
Stolas flew slowly down the walkway and lands infront of Marge Simpson surprised so see the owl demon "Sorry about that, but the lady in the bakery asked me to return this pacifier" he said holding it out as Marge saw her daughter Maggie Simpson (A angel money hybrid) crying and reaching out as he gently gave it to Marge as she puts it back in her mouth as the duo laughed a bit as Maggie stopped crying.
Back at the bakery the imp female was busy with some of the customers that are purchasing bread and treats, while she was busy she saw Stolas and Gekko Moria entering "Oh hello there come in and wait a minute will you please?" She asked as the duo entered and sat down in one of the waiting chairs as soon as it slowed down he gave the note from Marge as the imp female finished up "When I saw you ride your broom and fly off I thought for a second I was dreaming" she said "The baby mother told me to give you this message" said Stolas as the Imp took the paper as she read it 'thank you for returning the pacifier, your new delivery boy is really quite special' she read as Stolas bowed "Well I'm on my way Miss…started Stolas as the imp stopped her "My name is Millie and hold on, I must really do something to show you as my thanks" the now named Millie as she guided Stolas to the back as a male imp with messy white hair with a dusting of freckles was prepping some bread as he was surprised to see the owl witching "Millie who's that?" Asked the male imp "A kind gentlemen Moxxie, now common the bakery is down stairs upstairs is home" she said as they went upstairs that is there home as Millie guestured to a chair as Stolas sat down "Now have a seat and relax would you like some hot chocolate?" She asked
"Sure thing please" said Stolas as he sat on the chair by the table as Millie fixed some hot chocolate as she gently placed the cup in front of him "Here you go" she said as Stolas picked It up "Thank you" he said as she gave a cup of milk to Morai "And this is for you little one, now correct me if I am wrong I am guessing you are a witch in training" she asked as Stolas nodded "I really love this place, but the people dont seem to like witches in this town" he said drooping a bit as the little shadow took some sips from the cup. "Well it all depends on the people, take me for example, I just met you and I already like you" she said giving a wink at Gekko Moria who was startled a bit "So tell me, where are you two staying?" She asked as Stolas looked glum "Oh I see…I know why dont you stay with me and Moxxie, we have a spare room in the attic you can use that" she said as that surprised Stolas.
"Really you? Would let me stay with you?" Asked Stolas "Of course, but I dont think you told me your name" said Millie "Oh its Stolas, Stolas shine and this is my familiar Gekko Moria, he is a shadow" he said as Morria nodded his head as Mille lead them to the attic while holding a bucket and a mop "Its right upstairs though it may need some dusting but I think you'll like it" said Millie as she opened the door to the attic that has a bed, stove, Chair the basics…but it appears it was really dusty because she and Moxxie haven't been using it for a while "Oh dear its a bit dustier then I remembered, if I wasn't about to have a baby I'd help you clean" she said "its fine I can take care of it" said Stolas.
"Alright then, water and the bathroom are downstairs give a shout if you need anything" said Millie "Thank you again" said Stolas as she leaves him to give the owl time to settle in. Once alone Stolas and Moria looked around "Well this is…quaint" said Moria as Stolas gave a scolding look a bit "Moria" he said as he went to the bed as he sweeps his hand on the mattress that was covered in dust as he sneezed and coughed as Moria looked at the dust on his feet "If you wake up in the morning and find a white shadow its me" he joked as Stolas opened the window and was in awe "Morai look at the view of the ocean" said Stolas as the shadow looked on the window sill "Can we look for a new town?" Asked Gekko Moria but Stolas avoided the question as the shadow chibi groans knowing the answer as he looks through the open window and saw a part ghost chibi named Perona (One piece) on the window sill as she scoffed and looked away holding her teddy bear as Moria stuck his tongue out.
"Well excuse me Mrss. Snooty ghost chibi" he frowned as Stolas giggled at the chibi. Night soon came as the bakery was closed for the night as Moxxie and Millie were in bed as back in the Attic after a good dust cleaning Stolas was in his PJs in bed as Gekko Moria was asleep on his pillow but Stolas was still awoke as he was listening to the radio. "Moria I've decided to not leave this town, maybe I can stay and find some other nice people like Millie who will like me and accept me for me" he said as he looked at his sleeping buddy as he smile and turned off his radio as he got comfy to sleep.
He hopes the next day won't be bad and hopes that others will accept him as well.
Authors note: aww kindness brings kindness as Stolas now has a home with Millie and her husband Moxxie in the bakery.
Next chapter Stolas decides to be a delivery boy as his main talent is flying with little magic talent as he gets his first order to help out a kind sir named deliver a gift for his daughter and her husbands adopted child birthday.
