"Are you okay, Yato?" Rin asks with genuine worry in her voice. "You are kind of just sulking there. Alone." Yeah, I know. To be honest I sort of wish I could keep being alone right, but I guess that option went out of the window once I got a harem.

I sigh. "It's just that I got some... worrying news. Or more like orders." Though... "And I can reject those orders of course, but it's not like the person who ordered me that knows I can reject it, so... It's complicated." That's the only way to describe it.

She sits beside me, I was already sitting on the floor, pathetically, so we probably make for quite a funny sight. "Yato, you know you can tell me anything, right?" She leans her head against my shoulder.

Dere Rin is as scary as always.

Scarily great! "Okay then, here it goes...! I will tell you the story from the start!" And then maybe I will calm down a little. It might even help me decide what exactly I should do.

She takes a deep breath. "I'm ready." I don't think she is, but it's okay, I wasn't ready for this either after all.

I take a deep breath and look down. "So... it all started when I found out my dad... passed away." And the worst part is that no one from my family told me, so instead I got the news from dad.

Rin gasps. "No...!" And then she immediately hugs me. "I don't...! I don't even know what to say!" Oh, being comforted by my first concubine feels pretty nice. I'm glad she likes me this much.

But she looks even sadder than me. "It's alright Rin, I didn't even like him anyways, since was a douche who disowned me." Though I guess it's because of him that I met mom and dad, so maybe I should feel a bit grateful...? Nah, screw him.

"H-hah...? B-but... you love him! You always talk about him and your mother!" Have I ever talked about him before? "I mean, you had Waver build a mansion for him and her!" Oh, I now understand the misunderstanding that's going on.

I shake my head. "No Rin, I had a mansion built for my dad, but I'm talking about... I'm talking about dad here." I'm a bit miffed he died before I could throw my greatness at his face...

Her eye twitches. "Be patient Rin... be calm and patient..." Eh? Why is she talking to herself? "Yato, I can't really make a distinction if you just call them both dad without adding anything else." Ah, that makes sense.

In my defense, my father just died, I can act a bit stupid...! Not that I cared about him. Definitely. "Well... the person I'm talking about here is my biological father. Since I'm adopted and all." Doesn't she know that?

"What?"

What's with that reaction? "Yeah, I'm adopted. My dad disowned me after I almost died in a car accident..." Summer, annoying bugs, blood, a corpse, standard Visual Novel protagonist PTSD flashback. "In the end my little sister became the heiress, and I started living with the parents I actually like." And that's the end.

Well, it wouldn't surprise me if Rin didn't understand what I'm going through. Being thrown away so the theoretically superior sibling could take over the family business must sound like an alien language to her, a single child.

Rin's whole body is trembling. "W-why am I learning this only now...!?" Because it isn't canon, you silly. "W-what the heck Yat-!? Ah... I can't believe your father did that!" Oh, her tsun almost reawakened.

I nod. "Yeah, but it isn't just because of me almost dying. It's also because I got anemia from it... Which got healed once I turned into a Campione." Or at least I think it did. I haven't felt it for a long while now.

"Oh, and I also had to spend a whole year in the hospital after the accident... it sucked!" I hate hospitals now, people should just die when their sick. "That said, it wasn't all bad, this red haired woman became my friend. She got taken away by the police eventually though, for being a pedophile." Sorry Sensei!

Rin basically hops into standing up again. "You were molested!? After your sister was chosen and you were thrown away by your family and sold away!?" Yep. I bet no other human has experienced this.

Not a single one. Is Sakura watching us from a corner while crying...!?

She abandons the corner and throws herself at me, I now have a woman hugging me yet again. "Senpai...! My star crossed prince!" Damn, that's an awesome title. Thank you my star crossed princess!

Her eyes meet mine, and right now she looks... angry? "You should kill her." Hah? "The woman who molested you, I mean." Ah, so another misunderstanding is going on here. I need to correct it fast.

Sensei's reputation has already suffered enough. "Don't worry, the redhead didn't actually molest me, she just kept meeting me all alone and people assumed." She also kept screaming something about Hikaru Genji, and also how she loves idiotic men.

Who even is Soujuurou anyways?

Sakura and Rin now seemingly calm down, so I continue. "The person who actually molested me was a nurse." And now they're back to freaking out. "She never went to jail though... Welp, it's okay when a guy is molested." I wonder what she's doing right now.

Rin gasps. "Yato, it's not okay! It's absolutely not okay...!" She's scowling for some reason, how strange. "Just give me her full name later and the name of the hospital, I will do something about it." She reminds me of my mother...

My adopted one, who is also the one I consider to be the real one. She said pretty much the same thing when I told her about this after all. I wonder if she ever did something about it or not...

Sakura's eyes are cold. "Let's kill them then. Senpai has all the power now, he is the superior one now, Senpai can make them pay. Senpai should make them pay." You're feeling pretty murderous today, huh?

There's something I don't get though, so I sigh. "Why do you keep saying them anyways? It was a single person." Unless she still plans to end Sensei for some reason. Ah, I miss Sensei's big butt, which she did not let me touch, because she isn't a pedo. I think.

Sakura smiles. "Because I'm talking about your entire biological family as well of course." Eh? I pretty much only have Akiha nowadays though, and I don't think she can really be blamed for what happened to me.

Rin interjects. "Killing his family is a bit of an overreaction!" She then bites her nail. "That nurse though..." Wow, she sure is hated, I wonder what she did to make my first and second concubines so pissed off.

Rin then shakes her head. "But let's put that aside for later. You wanted to talk about an order, right Yato? I'm guessing it relates to your father's... death." No need to sound so restrained when talking about it.

I nod. "Yeah... now that he has died, my sister has taken over the family, and she sent dad a letter... A letter saying I should go back 'home' immediately and pretty much nothing else." But I love this city...

"Now, I do kinda wanna see her again, and I have unfinished business in our hometown, but... she clearly wants me to live there." Sorry redhead, but I think I will be keeping what you gave me. My bad.

Sakura gives me the purest smile she has ever shown. "What a conceited bitch, maybe you should sell her as a sex slave for someone. Or take her as a sex slave." Her words betray her smile. Also, incest is wrong.

I am blood related to Akiha after all, so while I would make her my concubine if I wasn't, I can't.

Rin sputters. "Let's not do that Sakura...! Who would want to turn their sister into their sex slave anyways?" My Kouhai blushes for some reason. "Anyways, I must say... I don't want you to move either Yato." Yeah, so I'll be staying here.

My harem is here, my mansions are here, the Holy Grail is here, my parents are here. So while I do miss Akiha to a certain extent, we simply won't be able to reconnect. It's a bit sad, but it's life.

But then Rin continues. "But... you could just go in a vacation for a while. Use your Campione authority to take a break from school and visit her. If you want to, of course." That's...

"But what if you guys got into trouble? I wouldn't be here to protect everyone... And also, what if I missed you guys?" I guess I can always call them, but that's... it's not the same thing as being here.

Rin smirks. "You may not realize this Yato, but many of your so-called concubines are pretty amazing, we can take care of ourselves. And even if something really dangerous shows up... Cleopatra is around." That's true!

Worst case scenario the Servant could at least hold back the enemy until I arrived. I can run pretty fast after all, so even though Souya is decently far, I'm pretty sure I could make it back home in less than five minutes.

Rin continues. "And about the second point... we can always go with you! Maybe not the first time, to not freak your sister out of course, but it's not like we are stuck to this city."

"Also, you're a Campione, Yato. If you miss us... just come back home, it's not like your sister would be able to stop you." Right, I forget that I can do whatever I want without any consequences for a moment.

I send her a thumbs up. "You're a genius Rin!" I can't wait to meet my family. Probably.

I'm a bit scared of Akiha to be honest, but I remember she was nice when I was young, so hopefully everything is gonna be okay.

I arrive at the front gate of the Tohno's, there I see a redheaded maid. "Um... Hey, I'm Yato Shibata and I was wondering if you work here...?" The gate is closed, and I don't wanna tear it down.

She nods. "Yes. I have been waiting for you." Oh? Couldn't Akiha also have sent her to get me? I got lost on the way here and had to call Rin for help.. "Also, in front of Lady Akiha, please refer to yourself as Yato Tohno." That's lame though.

I pout. "I don't know how to feel about that to be honest..." I don't really feel like a Tohno after all. "Anyways, it's nice to see you're still around Hisui, even if I didn't expect you would work as a maid." She seemed like the type who would do sports.

Her eyes widen, and she takes a step back. "I don't believe I ever told you my name." Wow, do I smell or something? I didn't expect to get this reaction from a woman.

I raise an eyebrow. "Yes you did, a few years ago. We used to play together all the time remember?" I don't know if I would classify her like Luvia and Crybaby, our time together was pretty short after all.

But I wouldn't forget her. Even if she's... less expressive nowadays, I can still easily recognize her. Her eyes are striking after all, not the type a guy forgets easily. If I wasn't on vacation I would probably turn her into a concubine for them alone.

But she seems surprised for some reason, and she's also blushing. Cute. "You... My apologies, but I don't remember those times." Then what's with that reaction? Well, I won't blame her for forgetting something that happened such a long time ago.

She then shakes her head. "But let's leave that topic for another time." Her tone makes it sound like that another time is never. "As you seemingly remember, my name is Hisui. I work as a maid in this mansion."

Hisui bows. "Lady Akiha has now ordered me to be your personal maid. I shall take care of you while you live here... And I shall also take you to her." Oh! That's awesome, I never had a personal maid before!

Obviously a harem of concubines isn't the same. Both of them have sex with you, but only one is forced to cook and clean and stuff.

Still, there is one problem with what she said. "I don't plan on living here though... I'm just gonna stay for a month." Maybe less if I really miss my friends and my parents. Ah, I will forever regret not having Hisui as a maid.

My instincts honed by fucking the tsun out of Rin are telling me she's the type who gets driven wild pretty easily after all. Which isn't exactly rare with kuuderes I suppose, gap moe and all that.

Hisui seemingly flinches. "Lord Yato... I don't think your decision was communicated to Lady Akiha. She's under the impression that you are now going to be a permanent resident of the mansion." Oof, I hope she didn't prepare anything crazy then.

I awkwardly smile. "Well, I did send a letter explaining everything... Maybe it got lost in the mail?" Talk about rotten luck. "You don't need to worry though, I'm sure she will understand." She probably grew into a respectable young lady after all.

Besides, it's probably more convenient for her if I'm not around. I am the oldest Tohno, so some old men must still trying to use me as an excuse to kick her out of her seat of power after all.

To bad for them, I have no interest in stealing my little sister's inheritance. I'm a Campione, so the family business means literally nothing to me.

My comment has seemingly not reassured Hisui. "Lord Yato..." And then she changes the topic out of nowhere. "You are a swordsman, yes? Part of the Kendo Club?" What does that have to with anything?

Well, whatever. I nod. "Yep, I'm a pretty crazy good swordsman. I'm surprised you know about that though." I'm not famous in the competitive scene or anything. Unless you're a mage, then I'm pretty infamous at least.

Hisui lightly shrugs. "Lady Akiha made a bit of research before your arrival, such knowledge is fairly accessible after all. Even if separating truth from fiction was difficult... You have many rumors surrounding you Lord Yato." They're mostly the truth though!

She continues. "But... as a swordsman, please just remember that even Musashi Miyamoto thought it wise to run from impossible challenges." Okay...? He wasn't built like me though.

And then she suddenly blushes and looks away. "Ah, this might sound a bit disrespectful, so please forgive me... But do you possess a real katana? A cool one...?" Is she secretly one of my people?

I put my hands on my hips. "Hisui, I possess the coolest katana ever! The blade is like the moon incarnate." I'm talking about my authority of course. It's probably one of the best swords to ever exist.

She seems enamored with my short description. "H-have you brought it...? May I see it...?" I may have made a mistake when talking about though. I definitely can't call upon my authority in front of a normal person.

My smile dies a little. "M-maybe another time? We are kinda busy right now..." I need to obtain a non-magical katana that is like the moon incarnate, and soon. Or else I'm gonna be known as a liar!

Her blush gets worse. "O-of course. My apologies, it's just that... I clean the katanas in the mansion, and so I have grown an appreciation for the craft." We have katanas here!? "Now follow me Lord Yato." I guess it's showtime.

I follow her to inside the mansion, and frankly...? Not impressed. It technically does match my mansion, it may even surpass it, but I happen to own two mansions! Even more if you consider the stuff my concubines have.

Besides, this place has seemingly not changed much from my days here as a kid. How lame.

What does grab my eye however, is a maid that looks almost exactly the same as Hisui walking around with a tray in her hands. She's carrying tea and some snacks... Man, I need to get some maids.

She stops once she sees us. "Oh, is that him? How lucky, Lady Akiha just ordered me to prepare some food for the both of you!" So she was even more prepared for my arrival than I expected it.

Hisui nods. "Yes, this is Lord Yato." She motions to the maid. "And this is my sister, Lady Akiha's personal maid, her name is-." I cut her off.

I know her name after all. "Kohaku right? I remember her." So Akiha's into girls? She wouldn't have given herself a personal maid otherwise... Well, I now promise to not turn this girl into my concubine even when my vacation is over.

NTR'ing my sister is bad, she can keep her sorta sex slave, but not really, girlfriend.

Ignoring that however, Kohaku gasps. "Y-you do...!?" And then she smiles brightly. "Oh...! You have a good memory Yato! Your brain has received my approval!" Wow. I never received such an honor before!

Hisui blinks in confusion. "But how...? I... I'm fairly certain Honored Sister did not play with you when she was a child." How though? You said you didn't really remember those times... Could Hisui be lying!?

That's bad! "Well, we didn't play, but Kohaku did look at me all the time through the window, and I looked at her back. No way, I could forget her, I had a crush back then." I didn't to be honest, I'm lying to sound cool.

The tray she's carrying trembles in her hands, but I continue. "And then we met close to a big tree before I left..." I crouch and begin opening my suitcase. "And speaking of that time, we did make a promise..." It's my unfinished business.

Kohaku's lips are trembling. "N-no way..." She must have missed this thing a lot huh? Geez, if she needed it that much I could have sent to her through mail or something.

Hisui raises an eyebrow, she seems worried. "J-just... what is happening here?" I'm just fulfilling a promise, that's all. And a lame one at that, since we didn't even promise to marry each other or something.

I take a white ribbon out of my suitcase and get up. Then I offer it to her. "Here. Sorry that I took so long, but I did deliver in the end!" I'm just glad the ribbon is still in perfect shape after all these years.

Is what I hope I could say, but it was actually super messed up. I asked Illya to fix it, since she's apparently super good with using threads in magecraft. Now the white ribbon looks as good as new.

Kohaku starts crying, so I might have messed up somewhere. "Is that really it...?" She takes a closer look. "It is... and it looks perfect... there's not a single blemish... or tear... or... It looks brand new...!" It certainly didn't a few days ago! So I'll send your secret thanks to Illya eventually.

I smile. "Of course! You gave it to me, so I took care of it!" In my defense, I genuinely did take care of it. This thing is super old though, so it naturally suffered the ravages of time like any other thing.

I then realize I made a mistake. Kohaku can't exactly grab the white ribbon right now, since she's carrying stuff. Maybe I should stuff it inside the suitcase and then give it to her at a more convenient time...?

Kohaku drops the tray, and grabs the white ribbon out of my hand immediately. A loud noise echoes through the house as the things that she was carrying break... Hopefully Akiha doesn't get mad at her for this.

Kohaku hugs the ribbon close to her chest. "So...! so good things can really happen huh?" Yeah...? "You're... you're the best Yato! You're the bestest best! Both your brain and your heart have my approval!" If you give it so easily, then it loses a bit of worth, don't you think?

Before I can say that however, Kohaku runs off. Crying her heart out. Are white ribbons mega expensive or something!? "S-should I run after her...?" I kind of want to call Shiro and ask her for advice... She's supposed to be my guide in these types of situations after all.

Hisui takes some time to respond. "No need. She's already overwhelmed enough." She looks down. "Lady Akiha is in your father's office. Do you remember where that is, Lord Yato?" I nod.

"Then please go there alone... I will... clean this mess." That sounds good for me, Kohaku might get in trouble otherwise. "And remember what I told you about Musashi Miyamoto." Alright...?

I send her a thumbs up, leave my suitcase behind, and begin my journey. Now that I'm alone though, the mansion feels a bit... creepier. Yeah, I remember now, when I was a child I hated how creepy this place felt too. With all that said though...

I'm a Campione now. Even if this place was haunted and filled with demons like I used to think... It wouldn't matter, I could cut them all down. Hey, I even have a holy blade, so I would be basically their counter!

Soon enough my body reaches the office, working almost on autopilot. I slowly open the door, not bothering to knock. "Excuse me..." Just that mistake alone would have probably gotten me punished by father.

I enter the room, and finally see her. A young lady with black hair, and blue eyes... We probably look eerily similar, since we are siblings and all, but she's the only one who radiates a certain aura of elegance. Ironic, since I'm the King of Japan.

Her face is set on a frown. "Big Brother." So she still calls me that after so long, huh? "You're late. I expected you to be here sooner... And where is Hisui?" She's immediately questioning me?

I scratch my cheek. "Sorry that I'm late. I'm new to this city, so I got lost." I'm also lost thinking for an excuse for Hisui. I doubt she will get into trouble of course, but Kohaku definitely will.

For a moment her frown disappears, even if it comes back quickly. "I see... My apologies, I can't blame you for that." Yeah, even someone who is actually smart could have gotten lost, and I'm dumb so...

Still, she doesn't need to worry. "It's alright, I called my-" I shouldn't mention concubines to my sister, that's perverted. Also, I can't reveal magecraft and stuff. "Girlfriend, and she helped me." Yeah, that's better.

Akiha's eye twitches. "Girlfriend...? You are dating someone, Big Brother?" It seems this topic made her completely forget about the Hisui situation. What a lucky break for me.

I smile. "I'm seventeen you know? It's not something crazy. It wouldn't surprise me if you had a girlfriend too." Does Kohaku count? "But yeah, I started dating recently. She will probably visit eventually." I wonder if Akiha will get along with my harem...

Akiha's frown shifts to a straight up scowl. "Unacceptable. You are a Tohno, you can't just date whatever floozy catches your fancy." E-eh? "No, that isn't the only issue here either. There's also the fact that you're a student."

"From what I understand your grades are just a bit average, that's because you wasting your time with distractions." Actually, it's 'cause I'm stupid. "That's why you will cut those... temptations out of your life starting from now."

"No more staying up late, no more video games, no more cellphone, no more girlfriends. You shall go straight to school, and then go straight back home... It goes without saying, but you will not be praticing Kendo anymore. It's dangerous for someone with your defects." But I don't even have anemia anymore!

And don't call it a defect, that's what father use to call it. I don't like it.

She continues. "So now call your girlfriend, and break up with her. Don't worry, I shall oversee the process and guide you along. After it, you shall hand me your phone, I will confiscate it." My little sister...

Is nuts! "Um... no." What kind of crazy demands are these!? Of course I'm going to reject them!

She seems shocked. "No...?" And then she blushes. "Well, I suppose I have just overwhelmed you, but it's for your own good. And besides, since you shall now live here... a long distance relationship is no good. Look for a girl who's closer." Who? You?

And there's a problem with what she said... "Akiha... I'm not living here." She pauses. "I sent a letter, but I guess it really didn't reach you, huh? I'm just staying here for a few days." Still no response from her.

So I continue. "I managed to take a month off school to come here, but if I annoy you too much I can always go back home early, don't worry." I cross my arms. "Also, I'm not a Tohno anymore. I'm a Shibata." And that's that.

She recoils, as if physically struck. I probably came off as more mean than I intended, but it can't be helped. I won't lie to her, being called Tohno makes me feel sick.

Surprisingly enough, she quickly recomposes herself. "And who made that decision? You?" It was more my girlfriend than anything. "I understand that this is new and scary for you, but you will simply have to adapt." It's more like old and scary to be honest.

Her scowl has already returned with full force. "You are not an adult yet after all, you cannot make such big decisions concerning your future. And while you may have technically been disowned... you still are a Tohno. This is the place you belong." Clearly a defect has no place here. I never had.

Ah, it's annoying to admit, but her previous comment genuinely got to me.

I sigh. "Why did you even call me back...? How did you even call me back? Where are our relatives? I haven't seen a single one yet." Akiha is the only close family I have, but I do also have second-cousins and the like. Normally many of them would live here.

Akiha waves me off. "Hah, I sent those useless leeches away, and I did the same for most of the servants. There are only two left." Kohaku and Hisui I'm assuming. "As for why and how I brought you back..."

"You are a Tohno, and you should live with the Tohnos. It's as simple as that. For once no one debated against my decision." Really!? They were just okay with me coming back!? Doesn't...

Doesn't she realize what that means? They are basically begging for us to fight. Ah, whatever, I don't care about any of that, what I do care is that Akiha had no good reason to call me. It was essentially a whim.

"I see... I'm happy you have such a tight hold on them." She definitely doesn't. "Anyways, I'll be leaving, sorry to bother you Akiha." I don't even want to stay here as a vacation anymore, it was a mistake.

Her eye twitches. "Are you ears clogged? Then clean them! I just told you that you don't get a choice here!" She's suddenly realizes she's raising her voice, and lowers it down again. "If you insist on being a rebel for no reason, then I will contact the Shibatas." No reason!? You want me to break up with my girlfriend!

Who I don't have, because she's actually my concubine, but the point stands! "Contact them all you want. They're the ones who told me I could choose whatever I wanted." Dad and mom obviously supported my decision.

She crosses her arms. "Ah...! You're insufferable...! But if you insist then I will! And I will be cutting all the funding I send them...! As the family head that is something within my power, so if you insist on making life harder for them, go ahead." The fund...?

I roll my eyes. "Both my parents have jobs, they don't need your money." Also, I'm a Campione. I gave them a mansion. "So go on, call them. Then you will be reminded that father sent me to someone who is basically completely unaffiliated with the Tohnos. They aren't loyal lapdogs like the Arimas." He really wanted to cut me off.

She stomps the ground. "Why are you being so combative!? This is for your own good...! I will make sure you receive the resources and opportunities a sire of the Tohnos deserves!" That's...

I try to calm down. "And I'm grateful, really." Maybe I am being too combative, she is trying to give me an opportunity after all. "But I have a life in Fuyuki, I'm not abandoning it." So she can stop trying to shove this opportunity down my throat.

Akiha takes a deep breath, it seems she's trying to calm down too. "I see... But what about your anemia?" Right, she didn't get my letter, so she doesn't know I'm better now. Even if I have no idea what that has to do with anything.

"Hasn't it gotten worse lately... and we have been screaming and raising our temper..." Where is she going with this? "It goes without saying, but I can take care of you far better than the Shibatas, and you will also stop draining their bank account." Money talk again?

Akiha seems to be getting more confident. "If you really do care about the Shibatas, then you should stop being such a leech." And I should leech on you instead? The girl who kicked out a bunch of people because they were leeches...?

Well, at least we aren't screaming at each other anymore. "Akiha, don't worry about any of that. I've been feeling fine these past few weeks." Why is she...

Why is she giving me such a shit eating grin? "Really, because you look like you're about to fall over. Let's take you to your room so you can rest." Huh...? "You might pass out at any moment after all."

My head goes white.

For less than a second, and then I immediately get better. "Nah, I feel fine Akiha. It's like I've been saying, recently I haven't had any problems with anemia. Maybe it's because I have been exercising with Kendo or something." It's actually because I killed a god.

She seems completely shocked. "B-but..." I have no idea what's going on with her, because it looks like she's having a war flashback or something.

Well, whatever. "So Akiha, do you want me to stay here for a couple days or not? If I'm too much of a bother I'll leave, and I definitely will keep living in Fuyuki." I'm just glad we stopped outright fighting.

What a shitty reunion after so many years...

She looks away. "A vacation isn't enough for me..." But it's what I can offer. "For now however... it's acceptable. Here is a promise Big Brother... by the end of the month you will decide to live here. Forever and ever." Hey, I doubt it!

"Just don't get your hopes up, Akiha."

AN: I've been wanting to write a Tsukihime omake for a while... And here is what I came up with. This is a mix between Remake and the OG by the way, just like It's True Love.

Yato is a very different man than Shiki though, with very different strengths and weaknesses as well. So he quickly solves Kohaku's plotline, and actually fires back when talking with Akiha. Campione temper against oni temper is probably not a good combination...

I must also say that Akiha does not know Yato is a Campione. She was informed at a meeting, where they told her that she should go bring him back immediately. Akiha naturally remembered what Yato is like and then laughed and took it as joke, now no one has the courage to correct her!
