Earth-Prime 2025
Mon arrived at the entrance of the Fortress of Solitude. He was wearing his red Valor uniform and cape. He casually entered the fortress as the occupant naively did not install a door. Approaching the center of the fortress, he found a tomb of sorts. On the tomb was the House of El symbol with the name Kal-El.
"Yeah, bullshit," Mon said dismissively.
Pointing his hand at the floor, Mon fired a beam into the icy floor creating a deep crater and shattering the tomb inscriptions. "I know you're down here. You're not dead," Mon scoffed as he fired deeper into the floor. He finally reached the body of Superman. "Definitely...dead," Mon realized as he saw Superman's non-skeletal remains.
"Well...shit," Mon muttered.
Shortly thereafter, Mon dragged Superman's frozen corpse and hung out together next to the computer console. "I know hanging out with your dead body for the last hour is a little queer, but I've always been a great fan. You and I riding each other, getting into it, Superman and Valor...fucking. Can you imagine the fun, the chaos, the movie rights? Yeah, nothing will bring you back in a reboot except for a giant bag of cash. You don't see them giving Mon-El a movie. Maybe, an animated movie where he's an asshole villain for some reason but not his own film. Why is that, Kal. Is it because you're so noble and shit and I'm not?"
Portals opened as the Linear Men showed up. These were guys who existed at nearly the very end of time and ensured time paradoxes never occurred. They wore armored suits and had baton wands in their hands. One strike from their wand could permanently send a victim to a dimensional hellscape.
"Mon-El, you're under arrest for crimes against the sacred timeline. Come out with your hands up," the leader said to him.
"Tell me, how many bones do you guys have, cuz I'm about to break all of them including your penis," Mon threatened.
The Linear Men were outraged and charged him. Mon picked up Superman's dead body and used him as a shield. With his right index finger, he fired a beam through the leader's eye, dropping him. Mon then threw the body of Superman at the Linear Men to distract them. Mon dodged #2's thrust and fired a beam through his back and out his chest. Mon backhanded #3 to the head sending his head to the side and then blasted his head off. In quick succession, Mon gave four Linear Men lethal punches to the head. Mon slapped #8 around and then used his own staff to disintegrate him. Mon then punched through #9's head blasting it apart. Mon fired a beam through #10's chest exploding his heart. Mon gave #11 a lethal uppercut and an unnecessary kick to the groin as he fell. Mon repeatedly bashed the head of #12 until it collapsed. Mon quickly broke #13's arm, slit his throat, and then fired a beam through his groin. As more Linear Men kept coming through portals, Mon fired three energy discs at them. The discs all slit their throats dropping them. Mon fired a beam at #18 that blasted his arm off and tore his chest open. With #19, Mon put him in a headlock until he tore the head off. Mon toyed with #20 with punches and kicks that broke his bones until he gave him a lethal neck break with a kick to the head. In quick succession, Mon slaughtered five more Linear Men with lethal energy attacks. At this point, the fortress had two dozen dead bodies and blood spilled all over the icy floor.
"All of this blood, violence, death, desecrating of the death...it's...actually who I am," Mon smirked victoriously.
Flashback 2018
Chris Wood came before the CEO of CW. "Thank you, Sir, for seeing me. I firmly believe my services would be of great use to Supergirl Season 4. I know I was caught masturbating in Melissa's changing room, but it's okay since we're dating for real, and she's divorced now."
"Yeah, still not okay," the CEO shut down. "What brings you here today?"
"Well, I care. I care so much about this show. I want to do something important with my life. I want to matter. To show Melissa that I matter," Chris said.
"Let's talk about your team," the CEO allowed. "Give me your perspective of the Legion."
"Oh, yes, there were three of them...including me. There was a really awkward love triangle between my character, Supergirl, and Saturn Girl," Chris said.
"How did that happen?" the CEO wondered.
"I blame the writers honestly. Focus groups hated it. The lesbian fangirls wanted Kara to ditch me and make out with Saturn Girl and the male audience thought the whole thing was tripe crap. It wasn't my fault. I had to work with the material they gave me. I want to be a Super Friend," Chris said seriously.
"Why do you want to be a Super-Friend?" the CEO asked unconvinced.
"Well, just look around you. They're the best of the best except for the Justice League, Green Lantern Corps, Suicide Squad, Court of Owls, League of Assassins, ARGUS, you know...all those guys," Chris listed off. "What those people do matters. If I'm a Super-Friend, I'll make it matter."
"If I don't turn things around and do something with my talents, Supergirl is going to dump me in the Arrowverse and in real life. And, I wouldn't blame her," Chris said seriously.
"The Super-Friends are a unique group of superheroes that stand for things more than just costumes and flying around. People look up to us, kids look up to us to give them diversity on screen. How do you, a white straight cisgender male give us diversity?" the white straight cisgender male CEO questioned.
"Look, I need this," Chris begged.
"The Arrowverse provides diversity not because the people need it but because I need it. Do you see the distinction? This is about making me look good at cocktail parties. You, understand?" the CEO asked.
"Yes, Sir," Chris nodded lamely. "Please, Sir, don't make my career be summarized as a failed Mon-El that only got one and a half seasons."
"Chris, I think you're reaching too high. Aim for the middle and you'll never miss. I think you have a good heart; I believe in what you're saying. It just doesn't matter in this business. I'm not diverse. I know it. I'm happy for it. I know my place...as CEO and off the silver screen. Find your place," the CEO advised.
"What about...a guest appearance in Season 5 and a cameo in Season 6?" Chris suggested.
"I'll see what I can do," the CEO smiled.
Flashback 2020
On the set of Thirtysomething, Chris hung out with his castmate, Odette. At some point, he made a speech. "It's been a challenging number of years. Glad to be reunited with Odette. We had great chemistry on Supergirl, too much chemistry some said. But I'm not resentful for not being allowed to come back to Supergirl Season 4, 5, 6 in any meaningful way. I'm happy here on this show. I'm so proud, so grateful, to be standing in a room with such talent. I'm the luckiest man alive."
"Make a wish, buddy," Odette said referring to the candle on the cake.
"To several seasons of Thirtysomething," Chris said and then blew out the candle. (It didn't even pilot)
There was immediately a knock on the door. Chris opened the door and found himself surrounded by pissed-off Linear Men. "Crap," he realized.
"Mon-El?" they asked.
"Not anymore. I'm a...serious actor now," Chris told them. The Linear Men took out their staffs. "Okay, let's move this off-set so the crew doesn't have to clean up your blood bath."
"I don't like you," the Linear Men leader sneered.
"Yeah, you and the entire Supergirl fan club," Chris rolled his eyes.
Suddenly, Chris was grabbed from behind and brought to the Citadel at the edge of time.
Mon was placed before Rip Hunter, a white straight cisgender male administrator. "Prince Mon-El, I am Rip Hunter, the leader of the Linear Men. We're a watchdog organization for those who fuck up the timeline. You see, we're charged with protecting the sacred timeline."
"Is this because I was a Legionnaire and went back and forward in time a couple of times? I'm done with that life," Mon said defensively.
"Yes, we're aware of your abuses of the timeline but we don't really give a shit about that. Walk with me," Rip Hunter said dismissively.
The two entered the control center where people worked on 1960s-style computers. "You are a special one. In fact, you have been chosen for a higher purpose. A higher purpose than even the paragons during The Crisis," Rip Hunter said as he showed the Super-Friends doing their thing on several TV monitors.
"You could be a hero again, Mon. I have brought you here to give you an opportunity. An opportunity to be cool for the first time in your life," Rip Hunter said vaguely.
"How?" Mon asked incredulously.
"You know how Noah was the last surviving human after the flood and had sex with his daughters to restart the human race?" Rip Hunter asked.
"I vaguely remember that part," Mon allowed.
"You are going to be Noah," Rip Hunter told him.
"Nice, where do I sign?" Mon asked.
"No need to sign. Once you put on your suit, that will be a sign of your commitment," Rip Hunter told him.
Mon entered a tailor's room and got himself fitted into his red Valor uniform. "I look fucking awesome in this suit."
"It's basically the inverse of the Superman suit," Rip Hunter downplayed.
"What? No. Anyway, I need to get back to tell everyone in the Arrowverse I am back in action," Mon said urgently.
"You're not going back because there's nothing to go back to," Rip Hunter said cryptically.
"Say what?" Mon thought he misheard.
"Your Arrowverse universe's last anchor will end in 2025 with the death of your anchor being. That death begins the decay of your timeline and your universe," Rip Hunter explained.
"Well, I'm not dead. I can be your anchor being," Mon volunteered.
Rip Hunter scoffed, then chuckled, and then laughed maniacally at him. "Imagine if it was you," he laughed. "No, your anchor being died gloriously in an act of self-sacrifice so epic it sent shivers down the timeline."
Mon then saw the death of Superman against Doomsday. "Of course, Superman," he realized. "So, how long do we got?"
"In an ordinary universe with all of these reboots and sequels, it could take decades, centuries. But I will not let that happen. I have been tasked with ending your Arrowverse universe and not allowing itself to reboot. I will not waste my life waiting for the Arrowverse to finally make a profit and stop being crap. The Arrowverse doesn't need a babysitter. It needs a mercy killer. In this instance, I am the mercy killer! Behold, the time ripper, a device once completed ,it will allow me to destroy your universe. You see, I don't want to work for the Linear Men. I want to be the Linear Man. I will show the higher-ups how efficient I can be. I will give the Arrowverse a quick and compassionate end," Rip Hunter said.
"Your friends won't feel a thing. It will be instant, even better than Crisis," Rip Hunter said nonchalantly.
"You're going to end my universe? What the fuck?" Mon wondered.
"Look, you can either join your friends and family for the next seventy-two hours...or you can join the sacred timeline and actually matter," Rip Hunter enticed.
"That's all I really wanted, and I am morally flexible," Mon nodded.
"I know, I know," Rip Hunter said sympathetically.
"Alright, I'll do it," Mon agreed.
"Good choice," Rip Hunter said pleased.
"I'm going to break your nose and get me an anchor-being," Mon corrected and then quickly headbutted Rip Hunter in the face. He quickly grabbed his telapad and then used a portal to escape.
"Find him!" Rip Hunter shouted alarmed.
Earth-Prime Fortress of Solitude
Mon found himself surrounded by two dozen Linear Men corpses. Additional Linear Men arrived on the scene through portals. Mon slaughtered them as well in grotesque ways. "You're the worst thing to ever come out of Ohio," a Linear Man accused.
"That's fair," Mon allowed and then blasted his head off. "Now, to find me an anchor-being," Mon considered his telapad.
Mon went through several universes to find an available Superman. He found a Superman in uniform at a bar getting drunk as fuck. "Superman?" Mon wondered.
"Another!" drunk Superman demanded.
Suddenly, Superman was divided in two as Superman and Clark started fighting each other in the bar to the death. "Well, okay then," Mon said as he exited.
In another universe, Mon came across Clark and Lois busy with their newborn child that had just been dropped off at their doorstep. "Wow, he looks exactly like Kara's adopted father. How queer is that?" Mon considered. He immediately exited this universe.
Mon then found himself in a barn where Clark was working on a tractor. "Hey, kid, you have to come with me to save a universe. So, get your suit, and let's go," Mon ordered.
"What suit?" teenager Clark asked confused.
"Oh...shit," Mon realized and then exited this universe.
In the next universe, Mon tracked down Superman in a courtroom with Lois Lane. They were busy shouting and accusing one another of rape, child abandonment, and overdue childcare payments. "Your honor, I had no idea this child was mine over the last five years. I was in a spaceship," Superman said lamely.
"When did you rape me, because I don't remember ever having sex with you?" Lois demanded.
"It was because I gave you an amnesia kiss after we did it," Superman replied.
"Yeah, bullshit. How could you not know I was pregnant with your baby with your X-ray vision?" Lois asked.
"I took off literally the next day after I scored with you," Superman said defensively.
"I had to deal with your asthmatic weird-ass kid for five years without you. You better pay up," Lois said angrily.
"I saved your world...again. I think that's payment enough," Superman refused.
"And I want a restraining order because I think it's creepy as fuck when you silently spy on us by floating right outside my window," Lois continued.
Mon awkwardly escaped the scene and teleported out.
Mon then found himself in a wasteland with plumes of lava erupting into the air. "What the fuck happened here?" he wondered. Superman arrived wearing a black suit and looking quite evil. "Love what you've done with the place," Mon mocked.
"You were just leaving," Superman said as he punched Mon across the wasteland and through his own portal.
Earth-Prime 2025
Mon finally found himself in an alien gay bar in National City. He found Kara Danvers not wearing her glasses but at the bar. "Another," she said filled with self-pity.
"I told you. You're not welcome here. Now, get the fuck out of my bar," the bartender told her off.
"I'm not welcome anywhere. Just give me one more drink and I'll leave," Kara replied.
"That's not how this works. Not how any of this works," the bartender refused.
"It does now. Leave the bottle," Mon ordered.
"Mon, what are you doing here?" Kara asked slightly surprised but still looking miserable.
"You're Supergirl and you're the next best thing to Superman so I'm going to train you to be a real hero so you can be an anchor being for your dying universe," Mon told her.
"Why would I do that?" Kara asked.
"Cuz, your universe will be destroyed if you don't," Mon said obviously.
"I don't care," Kara shook her head.
"Look, I'm not asking, I'm ordering you to come with me, pun intended," Mon told her.
"You guys going to fuck or fight?" the bartender asked impatiently.
"Maybe both," Mon told him off. "You going to take that sexual harassment from him?" he asked Kara.
"Yep," Kara said sadly.
"Look, I'm on a schedule, so we go to go now," Mon said and then reached under her armpits, clasped her breasts, and moved her from the bar. Kara immediately broke his grip and her eyes glowed white for a brief second before she lost focus."
"Yeah, not being able to hold down your liquor is quite common in Kryptonian females over the age of thirty-five," Mon mocked.
"You don't want me," Kara shook her head.
"You're right, I don't," Mon agreed and then raised his palm at her to shoot. "And you won't want me blasting your head off, so I think you better reconsider, miss."
Kara then passed the fuck out in front of him. "Such a disgrace but you'll just have to do," Mon rolled his eyes.
Mon then teleported himself and Kara, now in her Supergirl uniform, into the Citadel where he met up with Rip Hunter. "What the fuck is this?" Rip Hunter asked as Kara collapsed on the floor, still drunk as fuck.
"You said the Arrowverse universe is dying because Superman got himself killed. Well, problem solved," Mon said pointing to Kara.
"You actually think you can replace an anchor being, a Superman, with this token female rip-off? No other Superman would have worked but you have outdone yourself by giving me the worst Superman version," Rip Hunter said.
"What do you mean by that?" Mon asked confused.
"This Supergirl let down her entire world. What she did was beyond forgiveness," Rip Hunter told him.
"Okay, how do I make this right," Mon asked slightly concerned.
"I gave you a chance at greatness because my superiors deemed you special, I allowed you to be someone, and instead of accepting my offer with humility and gratitude, you broke my nose and slaughtered thirty of my guys. The Arrowverse is dying and there's no stopping it. The best way is to make it quick," Rip Hunter insisted.
"Yeah, but why is the thought of erasing the Arrowverse making you so hard?" Mon wondered.
"Why do you care?" Rip Hunter scoffed.
"So, the Arrowverse dies for all time because Goody-Tushu died? Fuck that," Mon objected. "Oh, welcome to the AOS, you're entering at a low point," Mon said to Kara as she got to her feet. "Look, get your boss on the phone or tell me where his, her, their office is so I can kick his ass," he said to Rip Hunter.
"Actually, I'm not really...authorized to do this universe termination," Rip Hunter said awkwardly.
"Holy shit," Mon said somewhat surprised.
"It's more of an asking for forgiveness rather than permission kind of thing," Rip Hunter explained.
"I totally dig it but that also gives me free license to kill your ass now," Mon said. Rip Hunter quickly disintegrated Mon with his staff.
"Where did he go?" Kara asked alarmed.
"To the trash heap. You'll fit right in," Rip Hunter said as he pruned her as well.
The Void
In the void where all Arrowverse shows are canceled, Mon and Kara considered their surroundings. It was a desert environment with random objects scattered about. Mon was looking around interested in his new environment while Kara remained on the ground still filled with self-pity. "Get the fuck up," Mon ordered her.
"I'm fine right here," Kara refused.
Mon grabbed Kara by her breasts, forced her up in the air above his head, bent her over as he grabbed her crotch, and slammed her back on his knee as he went down. "You, awake now?" Mon asked rudely.
"That was so inappropriate," Kara said angrily.
"That's the spirit. Now, we have to find a way to get back to Rip Hunter or the Arrowverse is going to die," Mon said.
"Not my problem," Kara said dismissively.
"You, saying that because you want to die or because you're safe from elimination due to being in this void?" Mon asked.
"Yes," Kara nodded.
"Yeah, I heard how much of a fuck-up you are. You should be thanking me for getting you out of the bed you shit in," Mon said insultingly.
Kara rushed Mon with furious anger only to get taken down to the ground. "Are you ready to be calm now?" Mon asked as he had an iron grip on her hips. Kara headbutted him, dragged him across the dirt, and threw him through a concrete wall.
Mon bounced across the ground until he slammed into a large Warner Bros logo. The two faced off against each other. "I don't want to have to beat your ass, Kara. I don't care what you did. I just need your help," Mon said to her.
"I don't care what you think," Kara said stubbornly.
"Alright, fuck it," Mon threw up his hands.
"Let's go," Kara said angrily as she charged.
Mon fired several beams at Kara as she charged him. She evaded his beams and engaged him in close-quarter combat. The two punched and blocked each other evenly. Mon had better technique and was just toying while Kara aggressively tried to get a hit on him. Kara eventually overcame Mon, brought him to his knees, and looked to sever his head off with heat vision.
"Wait, I can fix your universe. Whatever you've done, it can be undone. The Linear Men have the tech to go back in time. It's not too late," Mon told her.
"Look, we're stronger together, not fighting each other," a voice said from a random tower.
"Barry?" Kara identified.
"They're coming," Barry, the Flash, warned.
"Who's they?" Mon asked.
A Mad Max-style caravan approached. "Don't worry, I got this," Barry said confidently. "Stay close."
"The gay kind of close?" Mon questioned.
"That's offensive," Kara scolded.
Several villains surrounded the so-called heroes with their vehicles. "Groddova is going to be so pleased with what we brought this time. Can't run. Everyone knows this," Livewire said to them all.
"You see anyone running? You're not going to like what happens next," Barry told her off.
"You mean, reverse time so we can get out of here," Mon figured.
"Prepare to get flashed," Barry smiled and then fired off a surge of electricity at Livewire. She merely absorbed it and fired her own lightning back at Barry knocking him out.
"Well...shit," Mon muttered.
"I know you," Reign said to Kara as she jumped out of her vehicle and landed before them.
"Holy shit," Mon said amazed.
"Ready to die?" Reign taunted.
Kara went into a fighting stance ready to take her on. "Hey, time out. It's been years since you last fought her, and you got your ass kicked. This is not going to be easy...for you. Take her down, side control, pound on her ass," Mon lectured.
"Quiet," Kara told him off.
"Well, okay then," Mon said as he watched the fight.
The fight was brutal with heat vision beams, the both of them throwing stuff at each other, pushing themselves around, slamming each other. Mon waited as the two repeatedly punched each other with long telegraphed swings. Finally, he fired a disc that sliced Reign's head off. Kara backed away shocked and appalled. Mon picked up Reign's head from her hair.
"I have slain your precious queen, who dares to challenge us now?" Mon asked the group.
Livewire rolled her eyes unimpressed. "Who's next?" Kara asked exhaustedly.
"Indigo, you're next," Livewire said to her. Indigo immediately activated a Kryptonite emitter and a powerful magnet. Kara's metal nano-machine suit pulled her to the magnet at high speed sandwiching Mon behind her. The two were then stuck on the magnet and depowered.
A few hours later, Mon awoke to find himself face-to-face with Kara inside an electrified Kryptonite sphere cell. The two of them were roped together. "How long was I asleep for?" Mon wondered.
"Not all of you was asleep," Kara said uncomfortably.
"Oh...you're referring to my giant erection, right?" Mon assumed.
Kara tried to get out of the Kryptonite restraints in vain. "Don't bother, they're very thorough," Barry said, sitting in the sphere cell. He also couldn't get out due to the sphere cell's electrodes.
"What is this place?" Mon demanded.
"You're in the void, a purgatory. I ended up here after my final season. It's a place where all useless Arrowverse characters go to be annihilated or people like you that don't play nice with the Linear Men," Barry explained.
"Who is doing the annihilating?" Kara asked.
"Goliath, this smoke dragon creature. Most are on the run from Goliath, most don't make it. There is a resistance though, heroes like us. They're in the borderlands trying to figure out how to get out of here," Barry said.
"Then, that's where we go," Kara said getting her resolve back.
"Us? A team? Let's shake on it," Mon said as he inappropriately tried to move his hand up Kara's thigh.
"We find the resistance and we rally them to get to the Linear Men and make them fix this," Kara said passionately.
Barry scoffed at that. "I think Groddova will have something to say about that."
"Who's she, they, ze...," Kara listed off.
"In the void, you're either food for Goliath or you work for her," Barry said somberly.
The Mad Max caravan made its way to a large body of Atom aka Ray Palmer. The body was positioned on its stomach with its arms outstretched in an arc. The skull, still behind the Atom mask made up the base. Within the interior of the body's arms were living quarters that had been built up. Here, a number of villains worked for Groddova: Deadshot, Huntress, Cyborg Superman, Konstantin Kovar, and King Shark among others.
Barry, Mon, and Kara were brought out of the cage while still in their restraints. Atom's head then moved up revealing a skull. The dead body raised uncomfortable questions as to how he was killed and whether his giant body meant everyone else had actually shrunk in the void. Groddova then emerged from the skull. She was a hairy, muscular, sexy, female gorilla.
"A Supergirl? I wondered when I would get one of you," Groddova said pleased.
"Did Grodd get a sex change or something?" Mon mocked.
"I am Groddova, his twin-sister. We shared a womb together. In all other realities, he kills me. But, in my reality, I was the victorious one," Groddova explained. "And you are Mon-El, the failed lover of Supergirl."
"It's a little more complicated than that," Mon said defensively.
Groddova telekinetically dropped their restraints. "I have a good feeling about you, two. You brought me the Flash. I have been trying to catch this red blur for years, haven't I, Barry? You picked the wrong time to make new friends."
"Oh, Barry told us everything about you. Barry told us you were a psychotic monomaniacal asshole hellbent on domination and pain," Mon snitched.
"What are you doing?" Kara hissed at him.
"Trust me, I got this," Mon said confidently.
"You said all that about me?" Groddova asked offended.
"What? No," Barry denied.
"Don't lie, Barry. That's not what heroes do. Don't let her intimidate you. He said you throw your own shit, then lick your fingers, and then use it to grease your hair."
"I never said anything like that," Barry protested.
"Oh, don't be modest, Barry. People think I am a shit-talker, but this guy is next level. He can talk shit faster than the speed of sound," Mon said. "Hats off to you, Sir. You are a legend," he said to Barry.
Barry stammered a bit in total dismay at what was happening here. Suddenly, Groddova used her telekinetic powers to remove his suit and skin within an instant. Barry was now just muscle and bone, in a state of shock. Within another second, his body collapsed into a pile of bloody human remains.
"Way to go, Mon. You just go my singing buddy killed," Kara said outraged.
"Yes, let's mourn for the second-worst Flash of all time," Mon mocked.
"Shh...Goliath is hungry," Groddova sensed as a storm arrived over the horizon.
"Look, I'm DC Jesus and Supergirl is an anchor being. We're trying to get back to the Linear Men to save the Arrowverse," Mon explained to her.
"You don't seem like the universe-saving type, Mon," Groddova knew otherwise.
"If you don't help us, Kara is going to start singing and you won't like that," Mon threatened.
"How terrifying," Groddova rolled her eyes. "The things we could do together, to each other," she said suggestively to Kara.
"You don't scare me," Kara said bravely.
"You should be. The Linear Men certainly thought I was scary. They sent me down here before I could even walk, and it was the best thing that could ever happen to me. I love it here," Groddova said.
"You live in a garbage dump," Mon pointed out.
"I think we both know who lives in a garbage dump. I can wield my power here in the void however I like...without shame," Groddova said insanely.
"You should give yourself a pride parade for yourself," Mon suggested.
"Tell me, Kara, did your sister, Alex, protect you, make you feel safe? I must have killed a dozen of Alex Danvers's versions," Groddova smiled wickedly.
Kara suddenly charged her at super speed. Groddova telekinetically slammed her to the ground, sent her tunneling underneath the ground, and buried her. Groddova then turned to Mon. "I could get you back to the Linear Men but here's the problem, I don't want to."
"Nice," Mon smiled amused.
Groddova then telepathically sank her fingers into Mon's head as she tried to figure him out. "What's your deal, asshole?" she wondered. Groddova went through all of Mon's memories
"You're fingering me and not in a good way," Mon said painfully as he tried to resist her.
"You're so lost, Mon-El, and long before you came here," Groddova realized.
"I tried to play nice. Now, I'm going to fuck you up," Mon threatened.
"With what? Your silly cape?" Groddova mocked.
"By distracting you, silly," Mon said as Kara punched through Groddova's chest and forced her off the ground. Kara's eyes were white hot with anger. Groddova cried out in shock but then quickly telekinetically pushed both of them away from her. Groddova's hole in her torso immediately healed.
"This has been fun. Now, Goliath is going to eat you," Groddova said as she went back to her fortress. The rest of her villains went underground as well.
"Time to go," Mon said to Kara.
"She killed Alex! She has to pay!" Kara said angrily with tears in her eyes.
"Yeah, later," Mon said unconcernedly.
Kara struggled against Mon and then the two of them teleported a distance away.
Mon brought Kara to a plateau far away from Goliath. Upon realizing they were somewhere else and out of danger, Kara noticed Mon was still holding onto her. "Get off of me," she demanded.
"Almost done," Mon sighed.
"You're disgusting," Kara said as she shoved him away. "New rules, no touching without consent." Mon merely laughed at her greatly irritating her. "Okay, so, we have to get back to Paradox, right? And we find Barry's friends. There's a chance they know how to get out of here and then we make the Linear Men do the right thing and fix my universe," Kara said resolved.
"I smell a quest," Mon said not taking her seriously.
"I smell...food," Kara said absolutely famished.
Kara went through a random old diner looking for anything that was edible while Mon sat calmly at a table. "So, why are you and your cousin the only Kryptonians that wear red and blue? Is it from an ancient bygone fashion era or does it have something to do with being raised in America?" Mon asked curiously.
"Yes," Kara replied as she continued to look around with her eyes. She eventually found some ancient spam and brought it over to the table.
"I thought you were like a plant, absorbing solar radiation to survive," Mon mocked.
"I still need to eat and the sunlight in this void is...weird," Kara said concernedly.
"Do you want to talk about what's haunting you or are we waiting for a third act flashback?" Mon mocked.
"How dare you?" Kara snapped and then went over to the bar away from him.
"In my universe...you're well-regarded," Mon rolled his eyes.
"Well, not in mine," Kara said bitterly.
"Same here. Actually, I got everything I ever wanted. I got to be a superhero, the leader of a quadrant of the galaxy, wife and kids. It just was never enough," Mon said thoughtfully.
"You're married?" Kara asked shocked and appalled, remembering all the times he messed with her.
"Yeah, to you," Mon said nonchalantly. "But, of course, I fucked that right up. Yeah, you were a hero in my universe, the Supergirl. The most powerful being in the universe."
"Yeah, well, I'm nothing in mine," Kara said sadly.
Kara and Mon casually walked about the field looking for any sign of where the mystery heroes Barry talked about were. "So, tell me about your Kara," Kara requested.
"Supreme Leader of an entire galactic quadrant, empress of Earth, mother of three brats, and she managed to persuade her sister, Alex, to come to her time," Mon said.
"Her time? She went with you to the future?" Kara questioned.
"Actually, in my universe, we both ended up in the future. I don't really give a fuck what time I'm in so long as I'm killing interesting fools," Mon clarified.
"I always hoped my Mon-El would stay with me in the 21st century. He was going to divorce Imra. I figured that meant he would be with me but nope," Kara said disappointedly.
"Sounds like a tool. He had two women fighting for him and lost them both," Mon said incredulously.
"Yeah, when you put it like that, it doesn't make much sense. He was all about being the leader of the Legion and putting that first," Kara said thoughtfully.
"I think he just had commitment issues," Mon figured.
"Why was your Kara more successful?" Kara wondered.
"When she was a kid, she was a daintier, meaner version of you. Jeremiah trained her into a weapon of mass destruction," Mon explained.
"My childhood with the Danvers was perfect. Maybe that's why I ended up being a failure," Kara said reflectively.
"Look, I know you're hurting. Sometimes, you have to listen to the pain and stop running from it," Mon advised.
"No point," Kara said exasperated.
"I'm going to get you out of here and I'm going to make the Linear Men fix your universe. Will you join me?" Mon asked seriously.
"Yeah," Kara nodded and shook his hand.
Mon then teleported them both away.
Mon and Kara teleported into a cornfield next to a Honda Odyssey car. "You took us to a car?" Kara asked surprised.
"Shit, not the one I was hoping for," Mon said of the car.
"We can fly," Kara pointed out.
"This is more incognito," Mon insisted. "Get in the car."
Kara sighed and entered the car. Despite her superpowers, she put on her seatbelt. Mon gave her a look but then drove them out of the cornfield, into a desert, and then into a forest. "How do you know we're going in the right direction?" Kara asked.
"I can sense these so-called heroes, their ki signature," Mon said.
"So...you could just teleport us to their position, right?" Kara figured.
"Right," Mon nodded and kept driving. There was a long awkward silence in the car. "So, how did you get the suit? My Kara had her suit designed by her dead foster brother. What's your excuse?"
"A good friend of mine named Winn designed it," Kara said.
"Well, Winn is not your friend. Friends do not let friends leave the house looking like a World War II warbond girl," Mon critiqued.
"Hey, I gave myself pants later," Kara excused.
"Not impressed. It must have been your coming out as a lesbian phase," Mon mocked.
"That's offensive, straight up. Shut up about the suit," Kara rebuked.
"I'm just trying to bond," Mon rolled his eyes.
"You know what, stop the car," Kara ordered. Mon obliged her and stopped the car. "Everything is a fucking joke to you. You are the most ridiculous, immature, half-wit moron I have ever been around. I've never encountered a more attention-starved prick than you in my entire life."
Mon chuckled at her. "Now we're talking."
Kara glared at him as he wasn't taking her seriously. "I'm going to fight you now."
"Ha!" Mon scoffed.
Kara punched him in the face making his nose bleed. Mon suddenly realized it was on. He punched Kara twice in the head and then slammed her head into the car radio a few times. He then grabbed her gut to keep her in place for a finishing blow. Kara lowered the seat to evade Mon's brutal punch and kicked Mon in the head. With her foot, she slammed Mon into the frame of the car. Mon punched her to the breast and Kara finally kicked him out the window shield of the car. Mon sped toward the car slamming into causing the airbags to inflate and knocking Kara back. He then entered the car and pummeled Kara good. Kara grabbed Mon and put her underneath him as she tried to choke him out. Mon punched Kara through the roof of the car. Kara reentered the car with a renewed frenzy. She forced Mon through the windshield onto the hood of the car and slammed him repeatedly on the hood. Mon took one of her arms and broke it and then tossed her through the car where she blasted through the rear window.
Kara fixed her arm and got back into the fight. The two punched and kicked at each other inside the car until their blood was splattered everywhere. "This Honda really fucks hard. Too bad you don't, needle dick," Kara glared at Mon.
"Oh, this domestic violence session has only just started," Mon said as he engaged her again with a flurry of punches. The two beat each other almost to death inside the car and eventually passed out. With them still inside, someone then drove their car away.
An hour later, Kara woke up on a luxurious bed inside a cave. Despite the damage she had received, the nano-machines that made up her suit covered her completely. "Where are we?" she asked apprehensively.
"No clue, but I like it here," Mon admitted as he drank from a bottle of whiskey.
Kara got up and went toward the exit. As she did, Sara Lance aka White Canary had a blade to her throat. Upon recognizing her, Sara smirked and let Kara go. Jefferson Pierce then strolled in. Oliver Queen then followed him. "Oliver, I thought you died in Crisis," Kara said confused.
"Yeah, but I had a flashback episode after Crisis and that's when I got sent here. I almost had heaven with Felicity, but they just had to have a flashback episode," he said bitterly.
"And, Jefferson, I thought you were retired," Kara said confused.
"If by retired, you mean canceled," Jefferson rolled his eyes.
"It's common courtesy to ask before you drink all of my liquor," Oliver scolded Mon who had almost finished his first bottle.
"Good thing I don't give a fuck," Mon said rudely.
"I see how it is," Oliver said and then fired an arrow that shattered Mon's bottle. Mon smirked and merely got himself another bottle.
"Look, we came a long way to find you three," Kara said diplomatically.
"There's four of us," Sara corrected.
"Please...let it be Batman," Kara said seriously.
"Yeah, he dead," Jefferson shot down.
"I'm the next best thing," Kate Kane said as she strolled in with her Batsuit. "I dove you both here. Don't make me regret it."
"I'm so glad to see you but how did you all get stuck in the void?" Kara asked.
"The Linear Men said our universes were dying, so they collected us here. I never was able to even fight for it. I lost my family, everything," Jefferson said hauntedly.
"Bisexuals like me don't go out quietly. The Linear Men know this, so they took me out," Sara explained.
"Alright, I'm in. Let's find a way to get out of this place," Kara said enthusiastically. "Look, I've been to Groddova's lair. She can find a way to bring us home. She told us."
"You've been inside and made it out alive?" Jefferson asked impressed.
"Bullshit, no one has ever done that," Sara doubted.
"Whenever someone like us has gone up against her, they die, Black Canary, Thawne, John Constantine. And, now Barry Allen has been missing for two days," Oliver said.
"He's dead," Kara informed them. "Groddova killed him. He fought with his words rather than his fists." Mon laughed in the background. Kara ignored him. "Look, there's strength in numbers. Together we can corner Groddova and force her to let us out of the void. I know what it means to have self-doubt. You guys might not have been able to save your universes, but you can avenge them. Now, Barry died before he could make a difference but, at least, you can save mine."
"Maybe we can get inside and take her down," Sara considered.
"It's suicide," Oliver objected.
"If we can block her psychic powers, we can win," Kara said hopefully.
"The only way to block her power is with Atom Smasher's helmet, but he works for Groddova," Sara discounted.
"Then, that's it," Kara said brightly.
"That helmet isn't coming off unless we take his head off," Oliver said seriously.
"I'm sick of this shit, I'm sick of hiding. Maybe we have a chance with a Supergirl and whoever he is," Sara said of Kara and Mon.
"Who's ready?" Kara smiled.
"I was born ready," Jefferson said ready to go.
"Let's fucking go," Kate agreed.
"You're all fucking dead," Mon mocked.
"Really, Mon?" Kara asked dumbfounded.
The night, Kara and Kate hung out at a campfire. "I remember how you were once the Paragon of Hope. You showed up when it mattered most. You're a good woman, Kara," Kate said sincerely.
"I'm the worst," Kara said filled with self-pity.
"I got to live because of you. I got to lose my memory, my face, my girlfriend because of you," Kate said reflectively.
"I'm sorry," Kara winced.
"I got over it. Took the suit back from that imposter and became a hero again," Kate said.
"I'm no hero," Kara shook her head.
"That suit says otherwise," Kate objected.
"All of my friends: Alex, Kelly, J'onn, Nia, James, Winn, they all said it was a bad idea, but I did it anyway. I told the world my secret identity, that Kara Danvers and Supergirl were the same person. It was Cat Grant's idea, but I should have known better. I wanted to be my authentic self to the world. Instead, my enemies used it against me," Kara said tearfully.
"I can guess the rest," Kate said sympathetically.
"No, I need to say it. Let me say it," Kara insisted. "I couldn't save them. Now, they're all gone because of me. They were dead...the suit is all I have to remind me of who they were and what I did."
"We're headed to fight Groddova. We won't pull this off without you being at one hundred percent," Kate told her.
The next morning, the heroes drove the car back to Groddova's base. Groddova and crew eyed the car as it approached. Jefferson stood up so that he was through the car roof. "There's only one Black Lightning, only ever going to be one Black Lightning," he said and then fired a lightning surge that blasted open the hands of Ray Palmer's corpse.
Sara drove the car through the wreckage and into the base. Ruining the element of surprise, the group got out of the car and posed like superheroes to all the villains who now had them surrounded. Groddova merely smirked and retreated to her chambers believing her villain army would be sufficient to take them down. They came in several tiers of villainy:
Tier S: Deathstroke, Prometheus, Malcolm Merlyn, Damien Darhk, Nyssa al Ghul, Captain Cold, and Heat Wave.
Tier A: Black Arrow, a random Dominator, Ra's al Ghul, Sebastian Blood, Nora Darhk, a random Time Wraith
Tier B: Vigilante, China White, Andrew Diggle, Maseo Yamashiro, King Shark, Killer Frost,
Tier C: Huntress, Cupid, Weather Wizard, Talia al Ghul, Golden Glider, Girder, Livewire
Tier D: Silver Banshee, Konstantin Kovar, Deadshot, Black Siren, Cyborg Superman
Tier E: Derek Sampson, Indigo, Evelyn Sharp, Mirror Master, Bug-Eyed Bandit
Tier F: Multiplex, Metallo, Rainbow Raider, Dollmaker, Brick, Al-Owal, Kusa, Ricardo Diaz
Tier G: Tobias Church, Anarky, Bronze Tiger, Edward Fyers, Alchemy, Amunet Black, Everyman, Cyrus Gold, The Mist, Atom Smasher, and Captain Boomerang
"This is going to be good," Jefferson said as they were severely outnumbered.
"I've been waiting a long time for this," Oliver said excitedly.
"Some of you might not make it," Kara said concernedly.
"Just get yourself inside. We'll deliver the package," Sara told her.
The whole area suddenly became one giant firefight with long-ranger shooters on the second floor of the fortress and close-range fighters on the ground. Jefferson engaged Damien's magic while also holding Bronze Tiger at bay. He fired multiple bursts of lightning and used his martial arts skills on both of them. Suddenly, he was shot in the shoulder by Deadshot. Jefferson fired lightning on Deadshot to the chest taking him out.
Oliver threw grenades rapidly all around him at lower-tier villains and then had them explode all around him. He then fired a grenade-tipped arrow at the second floor scattering some of the shooters. Sara used her two blades on as many villains as she could at close range. Kate threw batarangs and fired her pistols. She got shot several times, but the bullets merely bounced off her suit.
Kara sped inside the mouth of Ray Palmer's skull and entered Groddova's quarters. She was drinking tea unconcerned with Kara's entrance. "You, coming back was quite silly. The kind of silly a blond ditz would do," Groddova shook her head.
"I just want to get back home and prove to the Linear Men that I can make a difference once more," Kara said passionately.
"Well, that's not on the menu," Groddova said dismissively. "Death or enslavement." Groddova then telekinetically slammed Kara to the ceiling and then back to the floor and then against the wall.
Outside, Jefferson pulled out the Dominator's tongue and zapped his ass. Konstantin threw Oliver aside. "Shouldn't have done that," Oliver said as he rammed an arrow through his chest. The grenade exploded blasting Konstantin apart. Kate engaged with Atom Smasher who wore a protective suit. Her arm blades were having difficulty getting through. Kate then slid across the ground, sliced through Atom Smasher's ankles, and dropped him.
Inside, Groddova went inside Kara's mind. "What's going on here?" she wondered as she invaded her mind. Groddova then found herself in a field with large tombstone monoliths. On each of them was one of Kara's friends. "You're hiding...hiding from them. You let them all down. So much pain."
"I made a bad decision," Kara admitted. "They told me it was a bad idea, but I did it anyway," she said tearfully.
"I know but that's not all, is it?" Groddova probed.
"When I saw them all dead, I snapped. I started killing and I didn't stop. I went after every xenophobic racist bigot and I killed them all, and, in doing so, I turned the whole world against me," Kara admitted. "I was no longer the Supergirl my sister wanted to be."
"In the void, you can be whatever you want," Groddova tempted.
"I just want to be free," Kara said.
"I can set you free," Groddova offered. "I can silence all those voices. I got you."
Kara gave her a look of disgust. "No, I got you."
Groddova suddenly realized the Atom Smasher helmet was on her head neutralizing her power. Mon had Groddova in his grip. He had teleported into the base, took the helmet from Kate, and then teleported to Groddova's position where he placed it on her head faster than she could react. "Of course that was a false memory I gave you. Everyone knows Supergirl doesn't kill or harm the innocent," she taunted Groddova.
"Really?" Groddova rolled her eyes.
"You're going to send us home or I'm going to twist your head off," Mon ordered.
"I can't send you home unless you take this thing off my head," Groddova told him.
"That sounds like bullshit," Mon doubted.
"And once you take off this helmet, I'm going to boil your brain. Either you kill me, or I kill you," Groddova mocked.
"How about I break all of your bones, and I burn you alive?" Mon countered.
Livewire then arrived on the scene and fired her pistol into Groddova's gut, mortally wounding her. "Do you have any idea what it's like living in constant fear of having your head explode, following her orders to shovel shit, and bringing people like you here?" she asked resentfully.
Kara suddenly punched Livewire in the face knocking her out. "Not everyone gets a speech." She then turned to Mon. "Take off the helmet."
"Yeah, fuck no," Mon disagreed.
"Take it off! I'm wearing this suit, and it means a lot of things but first and foremost it represents hope. I'm Supergirl and I will not stand here and let her die on me," Kara said passionately.
"Spare me," Mon rolled his eyes.
"If you have any respect for what your Kara represents, you'll take off that helmet and allow her to live," Kara beseeched him.
Mon reluctantly took off the helmet. Immediately, Groddova's mortal wounds began to heal. "Now, you're fucked," she said wickedly and then realized Mon was wearing the helmet now. "Oh, fuck," she realized.
"That's right," Mon confirmed and then struck her a few dozen times within a second breaking her bones. Mon then ignited his hand with fire and blasted her. Kara winced as Mon tortured Groddova a bit. Her gorilla hair burned off revealing only burnt skin underneath. She screamed in pain as she tried desperately to crawl away from Mon.
At this point, Jefferson, Sara, Oliver, and Kate had all been taken down and killed by the swarm of villains. Mon waited for the last hero to die and then formed multiple copies of himself. Kara watched in amazement as the Mon copies fired beams and discs that killed all of the weak-ass villains within seconds. The copies then evaporated after the slaughter had concluded.
"Goliath will come for you. You're so fucked," Groddova screeched at him.
Mon and Kara noticed the giant smoke dragon approaching. "Yeah, I doubt it," he smirked. Mon divided himself in two and had the copy teleported outside the fortress. Mon then tensed up as he powered up to Super Insane. The ground shook underneath his feet and moved away from him like waves. Static electricity sparked all around him like lightning. Mon then raised his palm at Goliath.
"Big Bang Attack!" he shouted as he fired a sphere of energy at Goliath's mouth. The sphere went inside the smoke dragon and obliterated it in a powerful fireball. The smoke then dissipated in the air. Mon smirked at the ease of his victory and then evaporated.
Inside the fortress, Mon kept a good grip on Groddova. "You were saying?"
"You still have no way out," she hissed.
"You could defeat Goliath and all those villains all by yourself?" Kara questioned.
"It's about the journey, not the destination," Mon smiled insanely at her.
"Just stop," Kara said finally.
"Alright, what's the play?" Mon asked amused.
"Tell us how to get out of here and he'll stop hurting you," Kara promised Groddova.
"You, promise?" Groddova doubted.
"Look into my mind and see that I'm not lying," Kara offered.
Groddova nodded. "There's a portal device in that chest," she pointed. Kara opened the chest and found the portal device. "Let's go," she said to Mon as she opened a portal to Earth-Prime.
Mon released Groddova on the floor and followed Kara through the portal.
Earth-Prime National City
Kara and Mon walked aimlessly in the city. "This is the part where you use your magic eyes to find the device that ends your universe," Mon said condescendingly.
"I'm looking," Kara said as she scanned the city.
Rip Hunter then arrived on the scene. "How dare you? No one comes back from the void," he said offended.
Mon punched Rip Hunter to the head knocking him out. "I think I've found the time-ripper. It's underground through the subway," Kara said as she finished her scan.
"Well, you're going to have to get through me to get to it," Mon smirked.
"What?" Kara asked stunned.
"I don't think you have learned your lesson. You're still a blond ditz. Unless I see some killer instinct from you, I'm not letting you get to the time-ripper," Mon told her.
"My entire universe is at stake. You must be joking," Kara assumed.
"Do I look like I'm joking?" Mon asked seriously.
Kara went for a punch which Mon easily dodged. Mon then shockwave blasted her across the street where she slammed into a store. Mon powered up to Super Insane and created an army of himself. For funsies, Mon even created a female version of himself among the clones. Kara emerged from the wreckage of the store only to get blasted with constant energy fire in her direction. Kara took cover as the Mon clones fired on her. Kara centered herself and brought out her killer instinct. With the clock ticking, she would have to put in maximum effort. Once she was ready, Kara confronted the army of Mon clones.
Kara sped toward #1 Mon and punched through his head, dropping him. To her horror, the clone didn't disappear into smoke but remained a dead body. Kara refocused herself and put up her arms as female Mon fired rapid ki shots at her. Kara then punched female Mon in the face, punched her in the gut with both hands, and punched her in the face again, dropping her. At the same time, Kara fired heat vision at #3 Mon and blasted #4 Mon with frost breath, dropping them both.
Kara evaded #5 Mon and broke his leg with her shin and then slit the throat of #6 Mon with her knife-hand. Kara was blasted back by the rapid ki fire of #7 and #8 Mon which pushed her back. She quickly recovered giving a kick to #5 Mon to the head, dropping him, and then slicing off the arm of #7 Mon. She then kicked #7 Mon's head into the car's radiator destroying it. Kara leaped onto the hood of the taxicab and gave #8 Mon a sweeping kick that sent him off the car. Kara went down and punched down destroying #8 Mon's chest.
Kara was suddenly ambushed by #9 Mon. She engaged him with punches and blocks and then threw his head through the taxi cab's window. Three copies of Mon then engaged Kara all at once. Kara pounced on #10 Mon dropping him and quickly punching through his torso cavity. Sensing an incoming attack, Kara got back up quickly and threw #11 into the taxicab with enough force his skull splattered. Kara then pounded on the face of #11 Mon until his face was broken in. Kara gave #12 Mon a brutal kick, dropping him. Two Mon copies blasted Kara back and then the rest of the Mon army quickly followed.
Bodies of Mon were thrown about as Kara tore through them with physical attacks and heat vision. Limbs of Mon bodies were thrown about the street as Kara tried to advance to the subway entrance. A crowd of Mon clones gathered around Kara to keep her from being able to move forward. Kara kept at it with all of her attacks at her disposal. She froze a Mon clone solid and then shattered it into bloody frozen shards. She threw her crest seal at one Mon clone which formed a plastic wrapping around his body.
"What the fuck?" the Mon clone said as he was wrapped up in it. Kara repeatedly punched this Mon clone to the head while he was still covered in the plastic House of El crest until he dropped.
Kara fired several headshots with heat vision and entered a bus filled with Mon clones. Kara went into a frenzy killer mode as she tore through the clones, bashed them up against the windows, and used the seats to bash their bodies with. A Mon clone tried to escape through the bus roof only to get pulled back down and killed. Kara pounded through the last Mon clone on the bus and exited the bus's rear window.
Kara emerged from the slaughter with blood all over her suit, hair, and face. She panted from effort and the strain of such violence. "Did I pass your fucking test?" she asked the main Mon.
Mon smiled quite pleased. "That will do," he allowed. His clones then evaporated into smoke, their energies returning to the main one.
Kara and Mon entered the subway station and found Rip Hunter. "It will all be over soon for this universe," he taunted.
"The hell it is," Kara said ready to kick ass.
"How do you shut it down?" Mon asked calmly.
"I don't know," Rip Hunter shrugged.
"How about now?" Kara said grabbing his neck and slamming him against the control panel. Her eyes glowed white.
"Very intimidating now, isn't she?" Mon said approvingly.
"Beneath us is a secure chamber where matter and anti-matter cross paths. It powers the machine. Theoretically, you could short-circuit the feed in the chamber below. If one of you were to connect a circuit between the two feeds, the release in power would destroy the machine. But whoever bridged the feed would be annihilated," Rip Hunter explained.
"I can live with that," Kara figured.
"I don't think you understand. This is matter and anti-matter. They do not play nicely with one another. You will be atomized," Rip Hunter told her. "You will die down there, probably horribly."
Mon teleported Kara down to the lower chamber. "You heard what that asshole said. If we do this, we will die permanently. This is not some Crisis bullshit," he warned her.
"That's why it has to be me. You didn't ask for any of this. I don't even know why you're involved. You have your world to get back to, your friends and family. I have nothing," Kara said resolved. "Send my regards to your Alex."
Kara went inside the chamber and saw the two towers of matter and anti-matter. Kara punched through the matter tower and tore out the cables. Her body experienced a surge of energy that was starting to overwhelm her. She pulled harder on the cables and made her way over to the anti-matter tower.
"She'll fail. It's over," Rip Hunter said from his station.
Kara's strength reached its limits as she was unable to get to the other tower in time. Suddenly, Mon clasped her hand and with his other hand, punched into the anti-matter tower. The matter/anti-matter reaction that went through their bodies blasted off Mon's Insane armor revealing his battle-scarred chest. Kara couldn't help but notice Mon's physique, all lean muscle with zero body fat. Kara's suit began to fluctuate as the nano-machines retreated and came back. Multiple areas of her body became exposed ever so briefly.
As she was near death, Kara found herself in her apartment. It was warm and glowing from the sun's rays. Alex brought her to the other side of the apartment. "Is this heaven?" Kara wondered.
"It is now," Alex smiled at her.
"I'm so sorry," Kara said and embraced her.
"It's okay," Alex consoled her.
"I missed you so much," Kara said tearfully but then noticed Alex's somber expression. "What's wrong?"
"It's not time," she shook her head.
"What do you mean? I'm here. I'm staying," Kara insisted.
"You can't stay," Alex told her. "There will be a time for us. It's just not now. The world needs you. It's alright. I'll be here. It's actually pretty fucking awesome here. I can be and do anything I want. I can even be straight here."
"Wait...what?" Kara thought she misheard.
Kara was suddenly thrown back into reality where she was in intense pain from the matter/anti-matter reaction. Kara and Mon screamed in pain and effort as they overloaded the machine causing it to explode. The entire subway was gutted by the explosion.
Portals opened as Liri Lee and her men arrived on the scene, other Linear Men. "The fuck is going on here? An unsanctioned time ripper?" she asked accusingly.
"Unsanctioned? Of course not. This is Groddova's doing. I was of the impression she was secure in the void but, instead, she escaped, fondled my brain, and tried to destroy this universe," Rip Hunter lied.
"You weren't involved at all?" Liri asked skeptically.
"In stopping her, absolutely. But not as much as the real heroes that went after her. My men. My friends. I warned them they would be completely obliterated...like heroes, because that's who they were. They knew what they had to do with no concern for their safety. The fact that we're all here standing here is a testament to their heroism. There's nothing I can do to bring them back now," Rip Hunter said with false sincerity.
"That sounds like bullshit. You're under judgment for initiating an unsanctioned time ripper. Take him," Liri ordered her men.
"I was merely doing what you were too afraid to do! Fuck the Arrowverse!" Rip Hunter shouted as he was taken and forced into a portal.
"Find our so-called heroes so we can take them back to the void," Liri ordered. Her men went down the tunnel looking for Kara and Mon but found no one. They were gone.
Kara and Mon hung out in a park chilling out. "What are you going to do next?" Mon asked curiously.
"I'll figure it out. Will I be seeing you around?" Kara asked.
"Probably not," Mon said honestly.
"Thank you...for everything," Kara said appreciatively. She then stood up as she met a crowd of Kryptonians and her own Mon-El. They were on Argo. "You going to stick around this time?" Kara asked her Mon.
"Absolutely," he smiled. "Thanks, man," he said to the Insane Mon. The two had switched places when Mon had first escaped the citadel but before recruiting Supermen to his cause. It ended up being the right call.
Mon opened a portal to Earth-38 but watched for a minute as Kara was having a wholesome moment with her mother and fellow Kryptonians. Kara gave Mon an appreciative nod as he disappeared. Kara had made a critical mistake resulting in all of her friends' deaths and her identity being compromised on Earth, but she had just saved her entire universe from extinction, and she now had a renewed sense of purpose in life.
Author's Notes: This is the final AOS canon ending for CW Supergirl...probably...maybe. Kudos if you noticed when the different Mon's switched. Probably, Superman will not die at the end of Superman and Lois, but it had to fit the narrative here. I considered making the Wolverine character Superman but then realized what category I'm in here. Mon and Kara go back and forth as to whether they're Deadpool or Wolverine depending on what I need here. This was my way of giving a love letter to the Arrowverse.
As for Deadpool and Wolverine, it's basically the same plot as Loki 1x05 and has many of the elements of Loki Season 1 and 2. One might even say it's a total rip-off of the Loki series. It's also a very similar copy to Logan 2017. In this regard, the plot is a bit...basic, but the dialogue, jokes, references, and fan service are genius-level. It has a lot of great choreographed violence that is also respectful of each character's abilities. It is, however, highly disrespectful to anyone who was actually a fan of some other characters. It's an 8.5/10 for those who love superhero films and an 8/10 for the general public IMO.
