Reread Chapters 22-25 I rewrote them days ago... just an FYI.
I adore this version, it's amazing.
Ibiki flew back across Mika's training ground, Mika's open palm still stuck out. "You've gotten really, really strong, kid. Yugao can really train." He shook off his hand, trying to mask how much it ached. "She is right, you are easily scratching at Low, special Jonin. I think your raw strength is approaching my own."
Mika smirked at him. "I try."
"Yes, you do."
"I have some ideas on where and how to train." Mika started. "I want to try and learn chakra threads. I never saw anyone, but I know they are used to control puppets. I have some ideas. I also want to see if I can figure out chakra siphoning."
Ibiki could not help but frown. "How do you intend to best Neji, a prodigy of the Gentle Fist?"
Mika laughed. "I have my ways. I know what to do, I planned it months ago. I could best Neji and Hinata with it, though I know Hinata would adapt better. Neji is a one dimensional fighter, though that is changing. I taught him some things."
"I am sure you did... how can I help?"
"More speed, for Temari, and help me refine my close combat skills."
"I can do that."
Shin squirmed down. "I need help there as well. Oh and Daddy needs to learn how to blend chakra into his sword."
"Oh yes, he's right. That is needed for Gaara. His sand is nowhere as powerful as he said. Brute force it can take, but swift slicing damage or piercing damage can and will pierce right through it. Even if it is full of blood, something Shin noticed as we were leaving."
Ibiki just stared for a long moment. "You are something else, kid... most would have been too petrified to notice. But you noticed a way to best him." He froze here. "Speaking of, how do you know that Naruto is..."
"Oh that, Hinata figured it out and I got most of it by myself. Hinata just filled in the gaps but I know better than to run my mouth."
Rubbing the brow of his nose, Ibiki stressed out. "Just... be careful, kid, that is an S class secret. Reveal it to the wrong person, you are fucked."
"So I guessed... Now, want to help me kick ass?"
::
Gai gaped, looking down at Neji. "You want me to what?"
"I want to help me train."
"Why? You never have before."
Neji sighed "Mika. I have bested him in pure taijutsu, several times, but never in all out combat. Mika is tricky, cold and ruthless. He hits where it hurts, never plays games and will use any thing he can to win. He will be the strongest of our generation, by miles. His potential is not to be undervalued."
Gai frowned, then smirked himself. "You want to impress him, don't you?"
Unable to help his blush, Neji nodded. "To a shocking degree... yes. He is... the only person to treat me more as a person, than a prodigy. He is smarter than I am, and far more clever. I want him to see me as a worthy partner, ally and maybe more." He finished, ultimately unnerved by Gai's tender expression.
"Than so be it... now, where do we start?"
"Speed, Mika is almost as fast as Lee is. He was when he graduated and his speed has only gotten faster. I still cannot handle his body flicker."
"Than so be it, my youthful student... let's mold you into an even greater ninja."
:::
"Thank you, Hana." Hinata said, to her new ally. "I need the speed boost to beat both my boys' ass."
Hana cackled. " I cannot wait to see their faces when you demolish the chunin exams... let's get you started. I want you to dodge the Haimaru brothers for over two hours on the water. Can you manage?"
Hinata looked onward, aggression in her eyes. "Bring it on."
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was a joy to write.
Love, your Ninja Overlord,
Mika.
