Chapter 16

Blade had stepped outside the hospital and taken a seat, he felt like he needed some fresh air. He let out a deep sigh as he leaned against a wall. He was exhausted, with how everything had been going the past few days he was overwhelmed. Like everything around him was breaking down, taking a toll, and he needed a break from it all.

Unfortunately for him, that break was not coming. Out of the shadows, "Well well well, look who's all alone. Last time I saw you, you were practically fused to our master's cock."

Blade shot to his feet turning to see the weavile Aberration standing before him. "Wh-what?!" He stumbled back bumping into the Sableye Aberration as it came up behind him. It grabbed him, covering his mouth and dragging him into an alley.

*Panchu Hospital*

Shadow appeared inside the hospital hovering beside Pyre, the charmander had been asked to step out of his brother's room so he could rest properly. "How is he?"

"Stable, and resting, I just, I don't know what to do, I feel kinda useless." Pyre spoke quietly, without his typical flamboyant.

"Tin is strong, he will pull through, he is quite similar to yourself in fact." Shadow spoke genuinely, wanting to uplift the charmander. "Speaking of which, where is Blade?"

"I think he stepped out to get air."

"That may do you some good as well. Come along." Shadow nudged him on.

Pyre reluctantly walked outside with Shadow. The cool night air brought a sense of comfort to the charmander, which abruptly disappeared as they realized Blade was nowhere in sight. "Uh he did say he was stepping out…"

"Something is wrong."

"Relax, soon enough we'll all have what we want!" The voice of the weavile aberration came. "He's right around the corner if ya want him hehe." And he rushed off into the alley.

"Come along Pyre, we have nothing to fear. Upon ingesting the blood of their intended target, they become remarkably more mortal." Shadow calmly floated into the alley. With Pyre right on his tail.

"How do you know that?"

"A good question." The sableye Aberration spoke up, pulling her mouth from Blade's neck. The wound was seeping blood, and the sneasel was barely conscious. "Aww, poor little guy, almost empty, it would be rude to not finish my…" she was cut off as the sneasel vanished from her grasp.

As she looked up, Shadow was cradling Blade close to his chest. "I am terribly sorry my dear, I should have been here sooner."

"That's it, you jerks have hurt too many of my friends! I'm not letting you get away with this any more!" Pyre shouted and pointed at the weavile Aberration. "You, I'm gonna kick your fucking ass!"

"I will deal with the other one." Shadow spoke softly. "Give him hell." Shadow teleported in front of the sableye Aberration. "It's such a shame, you were finally alive again." Shadow hovered forward slowly. "And here you are sprinting to your next death!"

Meanwhile, Pyre had already rushed the weavile, striking it in the face, sending him skidding back along the ground. Before the weavile could react, Pyre pressed his attack, throwing a series of punches across his face.

The weavile finally retaliated, swiping his claws at Pyre. The charmander was cut, allowing a small amount of blood to be caught on the weavile's claws. "What happened to not letting me get away with it?"

Suddenly there was a loud pop. When the two glanced over, there was a small crater in the wall of the hospital, not breaking through, just on the surface. Inside and around the crater was what appeared to be a massive splatter of blood.

"Crystal?" The weavile Aberration sounded surprised.

"End this Pyre." Shadow glanced over calmly. "Use it." The darkrai took a few extra steps back as if trying to be out of range.

"Don't be stupid, I haven't ingested enough blood, I'm still relatively invincible." The weavile spoke.

"Ya got enough to talk, that's more than enough." Pyre glared and slammed a fist into his palm. "Domain expansion!" Utilizing his aura, a circle of energy surrounded them closing into a dome. Within the dome everything vanished replacing the dark of night in the alley, with a tranquil field in the sunlight. His aura acted in such a way that anyone within the radius of the dome saw what Pyre wanted, his aura overpowering that of his opponent, and in the confines of the domain, making his aura their reality. "Supernova."

To accentuate the charmander's words, the sun within the aura based illusion, seemed to glow and grow brighter. The weavile dropped to his knees as if the heat was crushing him. The sun seemed to swell and grow, even more until finally it burst. Waves of heat and fire slammed across the tranquil field, incinerating the lush grass.

When the flames touched down and danced across the Aberration, it lasted only a few moments, but once the dome fell away the weavile collapsed to the ground, smoke coming from its body. Pyre had stopped the attack himself, some part of him feeling guilty.

"Is it done?" Shadow asked, hovering over slowly.

"Not really, I stopped early."

"Why?"

"I…don't know. I hate him, I want him to suffer, I want him to pay for what he's done…but…"

"But you cannot do it?"

"Yeah, I just feel like if I did…"

"You would not be, you anymore."

"Pretty much yeah." Pyre frowned.

Shadow however hovered close, grabbing the weavile's head. "Take Blade inside. I will finish the job."
