"Hmm." X hummed in thought.

"Something on your mind, X?" Mahiru asked.

"I've been thinking. If this Dame Deadtime came back, what if McKraken came back too?" X asked.

"That's a definite possibility, but we can't confirm that yet." Hope said.

"True, but we wouldn't be surprised if he did." Zero said.

"True. But for now, we should focus on searching Tokyo for Yo-kai." Hope said. "You gonna be good searching your hometown for them, David?"

"You know he's a paranormal investigator, right? Yo-kai can't be too far from the mark on things he and the others have investigated." Genis asked.

"Plus, he was accepted into the WDO not too long ago. You can consider this your first assignment as part of the organization." Leopardmon said.

"Got it. I'll do what I can." David said before his phone started ringing and he picked up. "Hello?"

"Hello, David? Have I caught you at a bad time?" Asuka asked on the other line.

"Asuka? Uh, no you haven't. In fact, we're on our way to Tokyo right now." David said.

"Ok, good. Because we have a bit of a problem here." Asuka said.

"Is Lili harassing you into trying to fight her again?" David asked.

"For once, no. We've got bigger problems here." Asuka said. "We've been getting multiple reports of strange activity happening all over Tokyo. It's like one minute everything's normal and the next instant, people are either bursting with energy, losing all their money in an instant, or becoming delinquents!"

"Yikes, that sounds bad. I think I know what's going on there." David said.

"We're managing things as best we can, but it's getting freakier and freakier by the minute! You guys better hurry!" Asuka said.

"Hang tight, Asuka. Tell the others we're on our way." David said.

"Got it. Once you're here, we'll figure this out together." Asuka said.

"Right. See you in a bit." David said as he hung up. "That was Asuka on the phone. It's just as we thought. Yo-kai are making Tokyo their nesting grounds."

"I'm guessing the Iron Fist Squadron is trying to handle it alongside the rest of the Armed Detective Agency?"

"Yeah, but clearly there are a lot of Yo-kai going around and they're getting backed up. We need to get down there and take some of their load off." David said.

"Yeah, we gotta help King and the others any way we can." Stahn said.

The group made their way to the streets of Tokyo, making their way to the Armed Detective Agency's office.

"You know, I think this is the first time a few of us are actually setting foot in here." Mark said. "Always wanted to know what it was like working here for you, David."

"With a lot of stuff happening in Tokyo, we're always on our feet." David said. "Just…try to be on your best behavior, okay? Especially with a certain few people you guys know are my co-workers."

"...I make no promises if they attack first." Vegeta stated.

"Ahhh!" they soon heard a voice cry out as they saw someone running around with a bunch of junk.

"Is that…Kego?" Sachiko said in surprise.

"And he's…carrying all that junk? Weird. I know his family is wealthy but he's normally so good with money. What's going on?" David asked.

"I got an idea." Sunset said, shining the light in one direction to reveal a figure in a mask and cape standing there posing.

Supoor Hero

Heartful Tribe

"A superhero?" Luffy and Chopper asked with glee.

"No. A Supoor Hero. He's a Yo-kai that makes you poor." Sunset said. "Though I doubt he's the only one involved." she said shining her light in a bunch of different directions. In one spot, she revealed a clam like creature with a coin on its tongue.

Spenp

Slippery Tribe

In the trash, she showed a small child with a missing tooth who also seemed dirt poor.

Lodo

Heartful Tribe

And finally, in a nearby store, she found a reindeer in a trench coat looking shady.

Squandeer

Merican Yo-kai

Mysterious Tribe

"Whoa…." David said.

"There's the poor problem." Sunset said. "Spenp and Squandeer make people spend recklessly while Lodo and Supoor Hero make them poor. It's a money losing scandal!"

"Not on my watch!" Eddy declared, rolling up his sleeves. "HEY! You guys! You're outta here!" he let out as he charged the four Yo-kai.

"It's time you joined in the freedom that is poverty!" Supoor Hero said as he fired a beam right at Eddy as it hit.

"Oh no! Oh no, now I'm-!" Eddy started to panic, before he realized there was no change, leaving him confused for a second, before he got angry. "A comedian, huh?" he asked as he got up in Supoor Hero's face and held him up.

"Impossible! It had no effect. That could only mean…" Supoor Hero said.

"He's already dirt poor." Lodo laughed.

"The lowest level of poverty." Spenp said.

A tic mark appeared on Eddy's head as the four Yo-kai laughed, the boy eyeing a nearby vending machine. "Ed, help me out here, woulda?"

"Okay!" Ed said as the two boys approached the four Yo-kai, before launching into attacks that led them towards the vending machine, ending when Ed shoved all four of them inside it.

"Hey! Let us outta here!" Squandeer called out.

"Wish I could…but it would cost too much." Eddy shrugged with a smile.

"Look, from one big spender to another, name your price and we'll pay it, shortstuff." Spenp said.

"Hmm…stop inspiriting people, give Sunset your medals, and you got a deal." Eddy offered.

"Fine." Supoor Hero said as the four's medals dropped into the bin below. "Besides, the kid somehow keeps getting his money back anyway."

"Okay Ed." Eddy said as Ed hurled the vending machine into a building, breaking it open as the four Yo-kai fell right out. "Huh….wonder how…" Eddy said before looking over to see a small yellow snake with a clover on its head near Kego before it slithered to them.

"No…way." Sunset chuckled.

"Is that…" Hope asked.

"It's a Noko!" Sunset said.

Noko

Slippery Tribe

"Noko?" Glimmer asked.

"In Japan, they're better known as Tsuchinoko. They're Yo-kai that bring luck and good fortune." Sunset said.

"So that's why Kego never lost his money. Noko kept him above the red while those four were inspiriting him." Sachiko said.

"Curses! Foiled by my arch nemesis!" Supoor Hero said. "I won't fall like the others before me! I promise!" he said as the four Yo-kai fled.

"Huh….guess they have a history." Sunset said as Noko approached her with a medal. "Thanks."

"Wow, five medals in one go, this is a good start already." Kaibara said.

"Yeah, five out of multiple dozens." Emo pointed out. "We're bringing in a long haul for a long day."

"He's right. I doubt that those guys were the only ones doing this if there are multiple reports." Sunset said.

"Well, Asuka said that in addition to losing money, there were reports of people becoming delinquents. That sounds a lot like…" Hope said.

"Yeah. Roughraff. I already figured that one out." Sunset said.

"Sounds like he's gonna be a hard one to deal with." Bow said.

"Actually, Roughraff's not that bad once you get to know him." Hope said.

"I find it hard to believe that a Yo-kai that turns people to delinquency could ever be friendly." Rarity-2 said.

"Why don't we go find him first and then we can judge him based on how he acts?" Adora recommended.

"Ahem…in case you all forgot…we still need to make it to the office." David said.

"Good call, sorry." Bow said.

"Right. Your city, your rules." Sunset said.

After a brisk walk, free from any Yo-kai sightings, the group reach the office of the ADA.

"Ah, so glad to be back here again." David said as they saw everyone.

"Hey, good to see ya! We heard that you passed your certification exam! We knew you could do it!" Paul said.

"Thanks, Paul. You guys holding down the fort while we were gone?" David asked.

"More or less, yeah. However, those occurrences around town have been increasing quite frequently lately." Steve said.

As the group was discussing, some members of Team Chronicle have spotted some personnel in the Armed Detective Agency that they were all too familiar with.

"Cooler and the Armored Squadron. So his story about being on the Prison Planet was true, after all." Piccolo said.

"Well… These are some faces I didn't think we'd be seeing so soon." Cooler said. "Had we known you'd be coming, we would have made an effort to clean the place up a bit."

"Don't worry. We were given the rundown about what happened. We won't be starting any fights here." Goku said.

"I see. An uneasy cooperation, but I suppose this is a good change of pace." Cooler said.

"Speaking of which… Asuka gave us a quick debrief on the way here. What's the full scope of what's been happening here?" David asked.

"Honestly, it's kind of hard to explain." Xiaoyu said.

"Just explain it as best you can." Stahn said.

Xiaoyu nodded. "Several districts across Tokyo are being hit by a strange phenomena. People are starting to act in ways that they wouldn't behave normally, as if they were being possessed by something."

"You aren't too off about that." Sunset said. "A number of your citizens are being possessed by spirits known as Yo-kai."

"Yo-kai? You mean those spirits based on creatures in legends?" Xiaoyu asked.

"Yes, exactly." David said. "We came to the belief that this wave of strange behavior is caused by them inspiriting people all over."

"We actually just ran into a group of Yo-kai that caused you to become poor as well as spend your cash." Sunset said.

"Yeah, that was Kego. If they managed to get to him, I am concerned about who else they may have hit. Where have these sightings been cropping up?" Sachiko asked.

"All over Tokyo. We don't have a precise number." Xiaoyu said.

"That bad, huh? In that case, we'll need to get out there and see if we can get these Yo-kai under control." David said.

"We'll have to split into teams. The sooner we can get the situation under control, the better." Mark said.

"The places I think they'll be most likely to hit would be Shibuya, Asakusa, Roppongi, Ueno, Akihabara, Omotesando, and Harajuku. Those seem like the popular spots." David said.

"We might need to check the underground subway stations too. Some of them might be lurking down there." Sachiko said.

Sunset just rolled her eyes as the groups started to disperse.

"Yo-kai aren't like most of the monsters he fights. They usually do whatever they want. We have to handle this by looking into what is the most strange." Sunset said.

In a part of Tokyo, outside of a nearby university…

"So did you know that…" Kasumi spoke as she started rattling off a bunch of facts all at once to a couple of students.

"Okay…that's…unusual, right?" Mayumi asked.

"Yeah. Kasumi isn't much of a know it all." Sachiko said.

"No…but I know a Yo-kai that is a major trivia nut." Twilight said as she spotted a small bear in a professor outfit holding a stick with a poo on the end.

Poofessor

Legendary Yo-kai

Shady Tribe

"Poofessor? So not all of the Legendary Yo-kai are sealed away?" Wendy asked.

"No…only their medals." Twilight said. "We'll still need to get at least eight to unlock him, but we can still subdue him and get him on the ship like the others."

"Any ideas?" Mari asked as the bear in question came behind her.

"Ah…someone else eager to benefit from my impressive knowledge. Come here and let me drop a deuce on your head." Poofessor said.

"Ah!" she screamed as she beat down the bear in question.

"Oh…uh…I guess that works." Twilight said.

"Ouch… You okay?" Sachiko asked.

"I've suffered worse…" Poofessor said.

"Anyway, you know Sunset, right? She has been wanting us to come get you so she can reconnect with you." Sachiko said.

"I see…I will go but I will not be surrendering my medal until you fulfill the requirements. Fair is fair." Poofessor said.

"Alright then. What will we have to do?" Sachiko asked.

"Uh…same thing we did for Shogunyan. Get the right Yo-kai listed on his page, at least 8 of them, to unlock his medal." Twilight said.

"Oh…right…" Sachiko said.

In a rather dangerous part of Tokyo…

"Yeah! Eat it, losers." Aruma called out to a beaten-down biker gang.

"Aruma…" Petra said.

"Heh…these chumps never stood a chance." Aruma said as something stood on her back. A small green lizard-like creature with an orange pompadour.

Roughraff

Tough Tribe

"The rebel Yo-kai behind a number of biker gangs and gangs in general…Roughraff." Hope said.

"We know Aruma is a bit assertive, but… Damn, we weren't expecting this. This is a bit much." Petra said.

"Any ideas about how to get that delinquent-looking gecko off her?" Mermista asked.

"Hehehe…Don't worry…I got you all covered." Jibanyan said. "I got a plan all on my own." he said before running in. "Paws of Fury!" he said, rapidly punching at the two as Roughraff and Aruma jumped.

"Dang cat. Looks like you need an attitude adjustment." Roughraff said, sending his power into the red cat.

"Jibanyan!" Izuku called out before the red cat was replaced by a purple one in a jacket, sunglasses, and a pompadour.

"No…I'm Baddinyan." he said.

Baddinyan

Charming Tribe

"Um… what just happened?" Mermista said.

"This is what happens when he's influenced by Roughraff, he becomes the rebel cat, Baddinyan." Happy said.

"So, what exactly did Sir Jibanyan hope to accomplish with this transformation?" Sir Saiyan asked.

"Uh…nothing at all probably." Happy said. "He just rushed in without a plan."

"Okay, so does anybody have a plan? An actual one?" Mermista asked.

"Hmm….I know! Roughraff probably can't resist a good faceoff. So why don't we have someone duke it out with him one on one."

"The duel will result in a standoff, and Roughraff and his challenger will become comrades instead! Excellent idea!" Sir Saiyan said.

"Uh…" Aruma said. "You know I can hear you idiots, right?" she said.

"Ugh… we need to stop trying to plan things within earshot of people against us." Mermista said. "Forget this, I've got the solution," she said, walking up to Aruma.

"Mermista, don't! You'll end up delinquified!"

"Hey, shut it, nerd. Or I'll get rough on ya." Baddinyan said.

Mermista then approached Aruma, with Roughraff still on her shoulders.

"Are you trying to step to me, princess? I'll rip your damn hair off." Aruma said.

"Don't even try it. You know how long it takes me to get this volume level every day?" Mermista asked.

"Yeah…don't care, fish breath." Aruma said.

"Hehehe…give her what for." Roughraff said as Aruma raised a bat with nails in it.

"Wait, where did she get that? That's not the kind of weapon I'd imagine she'd use." Hope said.

"It is for a delinquent in Japan." Petra said. "Well, guess we're gonna have to do this. Sorry in advance for what we gotta do to you."

"All right, bird brain…I'm gonna have to teach ya some manners." Baddinyan said as he pulled out a metal item before a comb popped out of it. "After I comb up my pompadour, you'll be a roasted chicken."

"Hard pass, thank you." she said, striking him down with a kick as Baddinyan was sent flying across Tokyo.

"All right, girl…give these nerds what they deserve!" Roughraff said as Aruma was swinging left and right.

"There will be no more of this!" Sir Saiyan declared, as he drew his sword and parried Aruma's bat, sending it flying. "It is over, Yo-kai. Relinquish your hold, and return to Lady Shimmer!"

"Dang it…you ain't too bad, old man. Here." Roughraff said as he handed over his medal.

Aruma was promptly unispirited as well. "Huh? Wh-what happened? And what am I wearing?" she said as she ran off to change at home.

"Well, that was a thing." Petra said.

"And now it is done. Let us press onward." Sir Saiyan stated.

In a small servant cafe…

"More tea, ma'am?" Kazuma offered as he served an older woman at the table.

"Now, I'm not that well acquainted with Fujimori there, but…this isn't normal for him, right?" Emo asked.

"Heck no. He's way too hotheaded and boisterous for a job like this. From what David said, he wouldn't be caught dead working in a place like this…or wearing those clothes." Leonora said.

"What kind of Yokai would turn someone like him into a prim and proper servant at a cafe like this?" Kendo asked.

"That kind." Titanica said as she spotted two Yo-kai in particular. One looked like an old man with a ghostly tail and the other a woman with fairy wings and a ghostly tail.

Verygoodsir

Mysterious Tribe

Got It Maid

Merican Yo-kai

Heartful Tribe

"The first one is a perfectionist Yo-kai. And the other is a maid Yo-kai that completes any task given." Titanica said.

"The ultimate servant combo." Emo remarked. "So, how do we want to do this?"

"I don't know, should we really stop this? It looks like there's more good than harm here."

"Even if this guy didn't find it disturbing, which I'm pretty sure he will, we still gotta get their medals for Shimmer and…" Emo started before he was hit by realization. "Say, there's an idea…" he said as he walked over to the two Yo-kai. "Hey, how's it going?"

"Oh? You can see us?" Verygoodsir asked. "What might we do for you, young man?"

"Perhaps he is seeking help with his manners, just like how we tended to this young man's uncouth behavior." Got It Maid said.

"Eh, maybe some other time. I'm actually here on Sunset's behalf. You remember her, right?" Emo asked.

"Oh yes. Very well as a matter of fact." Verygoodsir said.

"Yes indeed." Got It Maid said.

"Great. She's looking to get the Night Parade back together, set up a place where they can live alongside humans." Emo explained. "Don't suppose you two would be interested in joining in? Place could need a couple of prim and proper folks like yourselves to keep the rowdier Yo-kai in check."

"Hmm… you made a very astute point." Verygoodsir said.

"I don't see why not." Got it Maid said as the two offered up their medals.

"Welcome aboard, sir and madam." Emo said. "Oh…and you might wanna cover your ears in a second."

"Why would that be?" Verygoodsir asked.

"Cause since you gave us your medals, your inspiriting should wear off right about…"

"What the HELL am I wearing?!"

"...now." the warlock finished.

"Oh dear…I suppose the costume was a tad bit too far." Verygoodsir admitted.

"I thought it fit him just fine." Got It Maid said.

Akihabara, Tokyo…

Many nerds and enthusiasts across the district were wallowing in agony as they were leaning down on the ground.

"Whoa, man. This…is a bit despair-inducing." David said.

"Only thing that would cause this much doom and gloom in Akihabara is if someone was rambling on about anime spoilers." Akane said before a girl went and whispered something into her ear. "Ah, no!" she cried out in despair and collapsed to the ground.

"What? You! You did this!" David said before the girl smiled and revealed herself as a small little ballerina-like Yo-kai.

Spoilerina

Legendary Yo-kai

Charming Tribe

"Spoilerina, of course." Zephyr said.

"Take it she's not a charmer?" David asked.

"If you don't like getting spoiled, you'd hate having her tell you something. Spoilerina loves to spoil your favorite movies, shows, and books." Zephyr said.

"Talk about dropping a bombshell." Klonoa said.

"Wait, if she loves spoiling media, what did she tell Akane that was so shocking?" Makoto asked.

"Oh, I just told her that she's the reason Nekomaru become's a robot." Spoilerina said.

"...I'm sorry, what?" Penny said in confusion.

"Oh, right… I should probably explain this in detail. He gets gravely injured cause of Akane's stupidity and gets rebuilt as a robot by Monokuma." Spoilerina said.

"Huh?! But Nekomaru's perfectly human! When did that happen?!" Noel asked.

"In Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair." Spoilerina said. "That's…the game that Hope's group of Hope's Peak students are in. Whoops. Guess that's another bombshell. My bad." she giggled.

"Phew…so it only happens to the big guy in a video game." Akane sighed in relief.

"Oh…guess it's not that impactful huh? Okay…how about spoilers from your upcoming adventures then?" Spoilerina giggled.

"Wait, that would actually be helpful!" Penny said. "Could you tell us anything about the man with red eyes?"

"You mean Kelly?" Spoilerina asked.

"Kelly? Who the heck is…"

"Oh! Hold that thought, I just found my target." Spoilerina said as she spotted Kita. "He's been looking forward to a few games and shows coming out this summer…and I'm gonna spoil each one for him." she giggled.

"Aw, crap…" Akane said as Spoilerina pirouetted towards Kita. "David, how bad does Kita hate getting spoiled?"

"Oh… Really bad. He actually prefers to guess the plot beats before they happen." David said. "He ends up being right like…99.9% of the time, but what do you expect? The guy is like a walking encyclopedia." David said.

"So he's the smart kid in your class?" Akane asked.

"Never mind that! We have to save him before Spoilerina drops any bombs on him!" Klonoa said.

The group rushed to get to Kita before Spoilerina did, the latter spinning his way in glee.

"Kita! Spoiler incoming!" Penny warned the former Squirtle.

"Huh?" Kita asked seeing the group. "David? What're you doing back so early, it's still summer."

"Nevermind that! Look out for the dancing, spoiler-giving ballerina!" Penny said.

"The…ah!" Kita said, seeing Spoilerina.

"Hey…I have some juicy little spoilers for your favorite stuff. Wanna hear?" Spoilerina asked.

"Absolutely not!" Kita said, running from her as she gave chase.

"Blizzara!" Kita called out as he froze her in place.

"Hey…no fair." Spoilerina said trying to get out.

"That's what you get for trying to drop bombs on David's class brainiac." Akane said. "You're lucky you're not getting my foot in your face for telling me what could've happened to Coach Nekomaru."

"Uh, Akane? You know that because Goodbye Despair was just a video game, the events of it never happened to you or will happen, right?" Penny asked.

"Well, you'll never know! Maybe it will, maybe it won't." Spoilerina said.

"Well, here's another bomb for you. Sunset is getting her Yo-kai back together and she wanted us to come get you." David said.

"Well lucky for you, you only need 3 more Yo-kai medals to unlock my medal. And you know what else is in store for you guys? Well…." Spoilerina was about to say before some soundproof glass was put over her tiny body.

"Yeah, some of us actually prefer to be kept in suspense." David said.

"At least we still got a name for the culprit behind all this." Penny said. "I'll see what I can find about this Kelly guy after we're done here."

"If it's you doing the brainy stuff Penny, none of us mind an info dump from you." Akane said.

"Yeah, because I actually do research instead of thinking I know about something." Penny said. "I'm not naming anyone, but we've seen people do it."

Somewhere in Harajuku…

"The world is going to end one day and we'll all be rotting in the ground." Maiko muttered as she sat on some steps.

"Okay, that's not normal." Catra said.

"Yeah, for someone like Maiko to get that depressed…" Ross said as he saw a mosquito in a purple hoodie buzzing about along with a blue bird with a face on its stomach.

Negatibuzz

Shady Tribe

Buhu

Eerie Tribe

"An emo-mosquito and a droopy-looking bird?" Catra asked.

"Negatibuzz and Buhu. Negatibuzz makes you negative and Buhu gives you nothing but depression." Rainbow said.

"Quite the combo." 9S said.

"Shady Lady's got both down in sunlight." Yuri added.

"So what do we do? Just talk to them?" Catra asked.

"That could work. I mean, we were pretty tight with Buhu, he was one of the first Yo-kai we ever befriended." Rainbow said.

"Uh huh. Just in case, you take point on this one, Hapi." Catra said.

"Huh? Why me, Kitty cat?" Hapi asked.

"Because you're pretty gloomy all the time anyway?" Catra asked. "I dunno, it might cancel their effects out."

"Well, alright then." Hapi said.

The group approached Maiko, Buhu and Negatibuzz as the two Yo-kai noticed them.

"Sup, Buhu? Long time no see." Rainbow greeted.

"Rainbow Dash? There must be some mistake, you didn't come all the way here just to bring me back into the Night Parade, not someone as unfortunate as me." Buhu said.

"Actually, that's exactly why we're here. Sunset wants you back. Both you and Negatibuzz." Rainbow mentioned.

"Who cares in the end? No amount of effort is truly worth anything." Negatibuzz said.

"C'mon, we didn't come all this way just to go back empty handed!" Carmine yelled. "You better shape up, or so help me-!"

"Ugh…I don't wanna deal with this…" Negatibuzz said as he quickly inspirited the Pokémon Trainer, who slumped to the ground.

"I'm a terrible sister…" Carmine moaned in despair. "I'm lower than a Magikarp…"

"Wow…they…they do good work." Mina said.

"So you guys make others feel negative just to make yourselves feel better, bet that's fun." Hapi said in a disinterested tone.

"Oh, now she's judging us…" Buhu said.

"She seems negative too. Ugh…guess I gotta put in some effort to suck it up…" Negatibuzz said as he began sucking up Hapi's negativity with his nose. "Wow…there's a lot more than I'd thought there'd be…"

"Was that supposed to do something?" Hapi asked.

"Ugh…I don't feel so good…" Negatibuzz groaned before a dark aura was expelled from his body, as they began to perk up. "Actually…I feel a bit better now. Guess all the negative feelings were expelled. I suppose I should give you this as thanks." he said, giving Hapi his medal.

"How did you…?" Buhu asked.

"I guess I was full of too much negativity for Needlenose to take in." Hapi said. "Which is weird, because I can see on the bright side sometimes. But seriously, if you think I'm gloomy, you should see Coco on a sunny day."

"Oh…since Negatibuzz isn't inspiriting anymore, I don't have a reason to do it either." Buhu said, canceling out her inspiriting on Maiko and handing Rainbow Dash her medal. "Guess I'll go with you. Sunset and Pinkie always made me feel a little better sometimes."

"Maiko, are you alright?" Ross asked.

"Y-yeah, I'm alright. Just needed to clear my head about some stuff, but I'm all better now!" Maiko said.

"Looks like she's back to normal." Catra said, before looking at Carmine, who was still mumbling. "Uh…why is Carmine still inspirited?"

"Oh, guess she still needs time for it to wear off…I guess, I don't really know." Negatibuzz said.

"Guess we'll have to carry her back…" Ross said with a sweatdrop.

In another part of town, Dragoon sisters Eri and Ayase were both staring daggers at Tsubaki.

"No way she's gonna become some exorcist." Eri said.

"What is she hiding? Bet she's doing drugs too." Ayase said.

"Drugs? Come on, you guys know I stay away from that stuff!" Tsubaki said.

"That's what someone who deals would say." Ayase said.

"What is going on with them?" Leonora asked.

"I think I have an idea." Applejack said, pointing to an oni Yo-kai with blue skin and shifty eyes.

Suspicioni

Shady Tribe

"That guy makes you suspect everybody." Yang said. "And right now, he's trying to break up that friendship."

"Yeah. Eri, Tsubaki and Ayase are all so close. I can't imagine them acting like this to each other." Sachiko said.

"That's a Yo-kai Inspiriting for you." Scarlet remarked. "I'm not sure we can talk our way around this one. We're gonna have to fight."

"Uh uh…don't you criminals come anywhere near me. I got a partner." Suspicioni said as jumping out of nowhere was a small creature with a butt like face.

Cheeksqueek

Eerie Tribe

"Oh, not this guy. He's a Yo-kai that makes you pass gas." Yang said.

"That's…an oddly specific and weird power." Scarlet said.

"Pu pu!" Cheeksqueek said as it pulled out two sweet potatoes before eating them up.

"Oh, that's not good." the former assassin said as the Eerie Tribe Yo-kai reared its head back. "Duck and cover!"

The group members leaped away as Cheeksqueek was about to let loose before Applejack went and turned him the other way, gassing Suspicioni, knocking the oni out cold.

"And another….huh? What were we talking about?" Ayase asked.

"Uh…what we're doing this afternoon?" Tsubaki asked before the three shrugged and walked off.

"Phew, that could've turned nasty…pun not intended." Scarlet said as he (with some reluctance) picked up Suspicioni's medal. "We should wash this one before we give it to Sunset."

"Yeah…actually make it two." Applejack said as Cheeksqueek handed over his own medal.

"Let's not speak of this one to anyone." Yang said.

In a populated part of Tokyo, some people kept looking at a certain student as he walked by.

"Yes yes. I know…I'm fabulous!" Rankira said with a very handsome face.

"Whoa…did he get work done? He looks like one of those male models now." Kurochi said.

"Uh…I have another theory…" Kieran spoke up, pointing to what looked like a poodle following Rankira.

"Aw…what an adorable little….handsome hunk?!" Stoj said as she saw the poodle had a human man's face and a handsome one at that.

Dandoodle

Legendary Yo-kai

Eerie Tribe

"Yes yes…I know…I'm…fabulous!" Dandoodle said as all the women in the area swoon over him.

"Okay…I've lived with Pokémon all my life, so I think I know what I'm talking about when I say…this is just weird." Kieran stated.

"What, you never heard about a man-faced dog?" Kurochi said.

"Yes. It's a popular story of a dog with a man's face. But I'm the most handsome. Unlike that guy." Dandoodle said pointing to another man-faced dog, though that one was not as good looking, as he looked in a dress shop.

Manjimutt

Eerie Tribe

"Oh sheesh, he's here too?" Weiss said.

"You don't seem too happy about that." Kieran said. "Isn't it a good thing we found another Yo-kai? What's wrong with them?"

"Dandoodle is super handsome, but Manjimutt…he's just very….beast-like. I mean…look." Weiss said as Manjimutt was ogling the women inside the shop.

"Oh, now I get it." Kieran said in flat understanding.

"Talk about polar opposites." Kaibara said. "Are Dandoodle and Manjimutt related or something? Apart from their faces and fur colors, they look exactly the same."

"Non, non. Manjimut and I are not brothers if that's what you're thinking." Dandoodle said. "It's true, we share a few habits, and the way we became Yo-kai are similar but we are no way related."

"Just had to be sure." Kaibara said, looking at Weiss. "So whaddya think? Should we take the more reserved one and leave Manjimutt behind?"

"That is very tempting…but considering the current situation, it's either take him, or let this red-eyed man get him." Weiss sighed. "I'm sorry in advance, Shimmer…" she muttered as the group approached Manjimutt. "Hello, Manjimutt."

"Huh? Oh…it's one of …ah! Hero Alliance!" Manjimutt said, snapping out of it.

"Uh, hi." Kieran said. "We're here to pick you up for Sunset."

"Oh no! I'm not going back!" Manjimutt said. "All I get is nothing but trouble from you people. It was either getting kicked in the face, or being thrown into a battle without any way to fight back! Forget it!"

"Uh…" Kaibara said.

"The first part was all Sanji. He didn't really appreciate Manjimutt making moves on us girls." Weiss said. "And everyone got summoned during that Dame Dedtime incident."

"Oh." Kieran nodded in understanding before rubbing his head. "Well, I guess we can't force you to go if you don't want to. I mean, I guess we're just worried you'll end up like all those other Yo-kai, becoming monsters and such."

"Good. Glad you…say what now?" Manjimutt said.

"Yeah…big snarly, drooling beasts. But we understand. We won't…" Weiss said.

"I changed my mind! Take me with you!" Manjimutt begged.

"Well that was easy." Kaibara said as Weiss received Manjimutt's medal. "Guess if you know the right way to talk to him, it's easy to get Manjimut to do what you want."

"I'll also be joining you. Even though you don't have all the necessary Yo-kai to receive my glorious medal yet." Dandoodle said. "The thought of that rumored red-eyed rapscallion turning this fabulous face into an ugly mess chills me to the bone. I won't be much help to Madame Shimmer without my medal, but…"

"We get it. Hopefully, we'll be able to finish your legend page before this is over." Kieran said.

"From what I see, we need at least four more before it gets unlocked." Kaibara said.

"For now, let's get back to base and don't you even try, mutt." Weiss demanded coldly as Manjimutt was reaching for her leg, pulling back at the warning.

"Sorry, fear and force of habit!" Manjimutt apologized.

"(Note to self: ask Sunset if it's possible to neuter him.)" Weiss reminded herself internally.

"Happy, happy, hap-pi-py!" Minato chanted as he danced in the streets.

"I haff no memory of Minato being so cheery." Rachel said.

"Those guys are probably the reason why he is." Pinkie said, pointing out four Yo-kai. One was a butterfly with rainbow wings, another was a living house with party balloons, another was a small green sugar cane and the last was an old man in a green robe with pink hair.

Peppillon

Heartful Tribe

House Partay

Merican Yo-kai

Mysterious Tribe

Happycane

Local Yo-kai

Heartful Tribe

Elder Bloom

Legendary Yo-kai

Heartful Tribe

"Three Heartful Tribe members… Yeah, that makes sense." Mayumi said.

"Let's see… all four of these Yo-kai love energizing people." Kendo said. "First, there's Peppillion. He invigorates anyone who breathes in his scales and makes them really excited. The home with a face is House Partay. Like his name suggests, wherever he is, a party's not too far off to start, especially in a house. Happycane is harmless, and she loves to help people out using her words. Finally there's Elder Bloom, a legendary Yo-kai who also invigorates a person, but with happiness."

"And zey're all forcing Minato into a happiness dance." Rachel said.

"Yeah, as much as we like to see a side of him in high spirits, we gotta break up this little party." Mayumi said.

"Any ideas on how we do that?" ZS asked. "I mean, we could just ask nicely, but that would probably get us inspiritied too, wouldn't it?"

"Yeah. If only we had someone already super hyper and full of energy to take on all four at once." Pinkie said.

"Yeah, if only…wait a flipping minute, you fit that description!" ZS pointed out.

"Oh yeah!" Pinkie said as she ran over and quickly tied up all four Yo-kai in a quick sugar fueled fashion before returning with them. "All done!"

"Is this how people are treated in Tokyo?" Happycane asked.

"Not normally. Are you…not from here?" Mayumi asked.

"Nope. Okinawa." Happycane said.

"Happycane is a Local Yo-kai. They're Yo-kai who represent specific areas of Japan." Kendo said.

"Oh, getting away from the rainy season?" ZS asked.

"Yeah! We all met up here and decided to start a street party!" House Partay explained.

"Well next time, maybe ask someone before you overdose them on happiness." Mayumi said.

"We're sorry…" the four Yo-kai apologized, the three non-Legendaries offering up their medals.

"I can not offer mine, since you have not met the requirements to unlock it yet." Elder Bloom said.

"Yeah, we understand. Seems to be a running theme at the moment." ZS remarked.

"We really gotta work on that." Pinkie said.

In the middle of a busy street, Tatsuya was holding his shirt up as he did a strange belly dance with a weird face drawn on it.

"Someone…stop…me!" he begged.

"Oh, this is just downright embarrassing…" Trish said.

"Yeah…and there's the cause." Dan said, pointing to a bird sitting on Tatsuya's head, its stomach bearing the same weird face.

Rockabelly

Eerie Tribe

"Okay…that's the weirdest haradashi I've ever seen." Stoplight Eye said. "I can freeze him for a few seconds, then we can get him off."

"Not so fast, looks like he's got backup." Hagakure pointed to a trio of Yo-kai dancing alongside Tatsuya.

They were three seaweed Yo-kai. One dressed in blue, another in pink and a bow and another dressed in yellow.

"Wiglin!"

"Rhyth!"

"Steppa!"

"The Dancing Trio! Ten out of ten!" they all said.

Wiglin

Heartful Tribe

"Those three….they're the heartiest dancers who ever existed." Dan said.

"Then I guess the dance party is coming to an end." Hagakure said as she refracted the light to blind the dancing Yo-kai.

"And now…" Dan said as he quickly knocked off Rockabelly before capturing the three seaweed Yo-kai.

"Aw man…the dance party's over." the Dancing Trio sighed.

"Not quite. Sunset is getting the Night Parade back together." Trish informed the four.

"A dancing trio is always welcomed." SE said as the Yo-kai all nodded and shared their medals.

In a small home in Harajuku…

"Okay…I've called in all the favors I can for this one. So…please be appreciative." spoke a small girl in red and white to Naomi.

Toiletta

Eerie Tribe

"Toiletta…what is she doing with Naomi?" Rarity pondered as the group was watching from outside.

"First…fashion!" Toiletta said, snapping her fingers as a dressed up skeleton floated out.

Dazzabel

Charming Tribe

"Let's get you into something more…alluring!" Dazzabel said, inspiriting Naomi as she suddenly changed into some very extravagant clothing.

"Should we…stop this?" Bernadetta asked.

"Not yet. I have a feeling we should see where this goes." Mark said as he grabbed Rarity's arm to stop her from charging in. "That means you too, Rarity."

"But it looks so tacky on her! Dazzabel is a Yo-kai that makes you dress weird and tacky!" Rarity said.

"Just stomach it." Nami said.

"Next…we'll change up your face a bit." Toiletta said as next came a woman with a jumbled up face.

Jumbelina

Charming Tribe

She quickly mixed and matched her own face as Naomi's nose and lips changed a bit.

"We're getting there. Now for your hair." Toiletta said as a large hairball Yo-kai came in.

Furdinand

Classic Yo-kai

Eerie Tribe

"Let's make it…fluffy!" he said as the hair puffed into an afro.

"Oh my…luckily, we brought a barber." Toiletta said as in came a cricket with a few pairs of scissors.

Snippity Cricket

Slippery Tribe

He worked quick, cutting into the air before it came out stylish.

"Next…do a little something with your legs." Toiletta said as in came a small creature in a hat, with a bindle and with two long legs.

Leggly

Charming Tribe

Leggly then shared her power with Naomi as her legs became more longer and smooth.

"Finally…skin care." Toiletta said as in came a woman in a purple robe.

Eterna

Eerie Tribe

Eterna raised her staff as Naomi's skin became more youthful.

"Hmm…looks good. What do you think?" Toiletta asked a woman in an orange robe.

Jeanne Ne-Sais-Quoi

Eerie Tribe

"Darling…I must say it…it's stunning. Perfection." she said.

"There you have it. You're sure to get that boy's attention now." Toiletta said.

"Thank you so much." Naomi said.

"Wait…she did this for a boy?" Kazuichi said.

"As for who…I have a pretty good guess." Rarity said as they saw Naomi leave.

"Yep…she asked for this." Toiletta said, looking down on them from the window.

"Yes, all that battle-hardened-ness was wearing her down. She's still young. She needs to take better care of herself." Jeanne Ne-Sais-Quoi pointed out.

"Oh…of course. So…might I ask…" Rarity said.

"You needn't spare a single word." Toiletta said, holding a baggy with their medals in it.

"Oh, guess you already know the details." Mark said. "C'mon, we'll head back to base. Everyone else should be wrapping up by now."

"Wait…are we forgetting any…" Rarity said as they saw Jibanyan flying through the air. "Oh dear…"

"I'll go get him." Mark said as he flew up after the cat Yo-kai.

"So, were those all the Yo-kai causing trouble around Tokyo?" Kazuichi asked.

"Looks like it." Rarity said as they started heading back.

With Mark, he followed the cat Yo-kai to a city square as he looked for him.

"All right. Where did…" he said before seeing a cat Yo-kai ahead. "Aha!" he said, picking him up. "Gotcha?"

"Meow?" they replied. The cat in question was blond with a small couf of hair and a red and blue band as well as a bell on his collar. "Oh meow god! Can…can you really see me?!"

"I know, I know, I don't have a watch." Mark said. "I've got experience with spiritual things."

"That is so cool! You are incredible. Meowssree!" the cat said, giving a thumbs up.

"You aren't who I was looking for." Mark said.

"Oh. Sorry. I'm new to Japan. I come from the US. I'm…Tomnyan!" he said.

Tomnyan

Merican Yo-kai

Charming Tribe

"Nice to Meowch you!" he said.

"The feeling's mutual. I'm Mark Anarchy." Mark introduced himself. "Hey, did you see a red cat Yo-kai land around here? Looks kinda like you."

"Yeah…he's right there." Tomnyan said, pointing to Jibanyan lying flat in the street. "Got ran over by those rotten trucks. I'll tell ya, Japanese trucks are just as evil as the ones back home."

"Don't worry. Just keep training, and both of you will be stopping them in their tracks." Mark said, walking over to Jibanyan and picking him up. "Say, are you friends with Sunset Shimmer, by any chance? I'm part of the same alliance as her."

"Hmm…I did meet someone with that name once. But I was partnered with someone else for a while. But…they're…not around anymore." Tomnyan said. "It was about as sad…as the day I became a Yo-kai."

"Oh…damn, I'm sorry to hear that." Mark said in sympathy. "Listen, it's dangerous for Yo-kai to be out and about on their own these days. Why don't you come with us? We're making a place for Yo-kai to live in, and there's plenty of people to be friends with."

"Fair enough." Tomnyan said as he started walking with him. "I used to be…just a normal cat living in the country. Spending my days with my owner, Emily. Till one day….a truck came barreling right at her. So…I pushed her out and took the hit myself. She was so wracked with grief. That was then I decided to defeat the trucks so I could one day come see her again."

"Huh…funny that, Jibanyan here has the exact same backstory." Mark said. "What about this other partner of yours?"

"He and I…we were performing in a circus for awhile. But…a few weeks ago…he was murdered." Tomnyan said. "They killed him cause they didn't want other worlders with Yo-kai watches interfering with their plans…"

This cause Mark to stiffen up. "Wait…who's they?"

"I don't know their name, but…they were mostly white…with squid tentacles for a beard." Tomnyan explained. "But he wasn't the one who killed him. It was a man in a suit. His name I do know….they call him…the Ghoulfather."

"...Yeah, gotcha." Mark said. "We're gonna have a chat when we get back to base…"

Meanwhile…

"That's ten watch users we've dealt with so far." said a man in a black suit. "Only major ones left are the ones back on our origin world. But we can leave those be. But…there is another issue."

"Speak. What is it?" a man in red said.

"The one called Sunset Shimmer…who was believed to have died…is alive…and re-establishing connections with the Yo-kai." the man in black said.

"What?!" spoke a large figure in white. "Rotten kid. You gotta be squiding me!"

"I take it you are acquainted with her?" spoke a figure unseen in shadows, his red eyes being the only visible part.

"She and her little buddies ruined my Yo-kai Revolution awhile back by locking down the elevator to the Yo-kai World. I was gonna swarm that human world and give it all to the Yo-kai." he said.

"I know her as well. She ruined my revenge against humanity and sent me flying far away." spoke a large woman dressed in black robes.

"I see. Then she must be dealt with before we can obtain our primary goal." the figure said. "Do we know where she is now?"

"Last reports put her and her friends in Tokyo, in the Standard Universe." the agent in black said.

"I see. I have targets that must be obtained there." the figure said. "It's settled then: we'll have to distract them by sending an attack."

"If I can speak up. One of my admins, Hoaxy-Coaxy, is already on that world, trying to gather up Yo-kai. I can have him go deal with them." the man in red said.

"Do you believe he can destroy them?" the figure asked.

"I think he can keep them busy." the man in red answered.

"Hmm…have him rouse the resident yokai first." the figure said. "We must spread them thin if I am to remain unimpeded."

"Yes…of course. Agent X…continue to find and dispose of any rogue watch holders." the man in red said to the man in black.

"By your order, Ghoulfather." Agent X said.

"It doesn't matter who gets in our way." the Ghoulfather said. "This multiverse is no longer fit to be run by humans. Yo-kai are meant for it all. Especially when we take over the Yo-kai world and get rid of Enma."

The figures all grinned and cackled a bit.

"To our glorious…Yo-kai Alliance." the Ghoulfather said, raising a glass as he drank it.

"Indeed…to our alliance." the red-eyed figure smiled.
