Bell and Regis crossed over a hill and could see the Tower of Babel in the distance. The two had been traveling for around four days and had finally reached their destination.
"That's a big tower," Bell said. His eyes wide with excitement and wonder.
"Heh, me and your dad called it the giant dick in the sky." Regis laughed.
"And you ruined it." Bell deadpanned.
"Oh, come on, really? A dick joke ruined the Tower of Babel for you?" Regis questioned.
"I mean somewhat, now every time I look at that thing, I'm gonna think of a giant dick piercing the clouds."
"Eh, once you start getting used to the city, you won't care so much."
"We haven't even gotten to the city yet!" Bell complained, gesturing to the tower.
Regis strutted forward. "Which is why you care so much."
Bell shook his head. "This is why you're a dog."
"Wolf."
The two continued bickering as they drew closer to the city, getting the attention of those waiting in line to enter the dungeon city. Mostly because nobody had ever seen a talking dog before.
The two eventually stopped bickering once they realized they had a crowd. So they remained silent. Except for the one time, Bell kicked Regis in the side.
After waiting in line for around 30 minutes, Bell and Regis arrived at the front gate where a tall, tan, burly man with muscles bulging out from his toga stood. He wore an orange elephant mask as well. Bell could sense the divinity coming from him.
"I am Ganesha, and greetings, young man! Welcome to Orario." The god greeted.
Bell blinked and looked at the eccentric god. A blue-haired woman dressed in an orange dress with a spear equipped to her back and a whip at her side stepped forward. Bell could feel the sheer waves of power coming off her. He could sense her mana core.
"Lord Ganesha, you know you don't have to work the gate." The woman said.
"Nonsense Shakti, I, Ganesha, shall greet every new arrival to welcome them to this fantastic city of ours. Now, young man, what is your reasoning for coming here."
Bell blinked again and looked down at Regis. His bond talked to him through their mental link.
"Just go with it," Regis responded.
Bell cleared his throat and looked back to Ganesha. "Um, well, I'm here to become an adventurer. Uh, sir."
Regis snorted. "When did you get so polite."
Bell ignored him as the god nodded his head. Not sensing a lie. "I see, I see. Who's your furry little companion? Is he your bond?"
Bell's eyes narrowed in confusion. Shouldn't Ganesha know who Regis is? Regis was pretty famous, along with Bell's father. But Bell decided to play along.
"Yeah, he's my bond. Kind of annoying, but hey, I'm stuck with him." Bell shrugged.
"I am not annoying," Regis said aloud.
"Did that dog just talk?" Shakti asked.
"I'm a wolf, thank you very much," Regis stated.
"He's a special bond." Bell quickly answered.
Ganesha placed his hand on his chin and nodded. "Hmm, I see. Very interesting, I think you'll make a name for yourself in this city."
Bell nervously chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. "Uh, thank you, but I was told I'm supposed to pay a fee."
Ganesha snapped his fingers. "Ah yes, you're right, my boy. Entry will be 3,000 Valis, please."
Bell fished around in his coin pouch and handed the god three 1k valis coins. The god smiled and deposited them away in another pouch.
"Alright, my boy, you're all set. Welcome to Orario, enjoy your stay, and good luck with adventuring."
Bell smiled and gave a small bow. "Thank you for your kind words. Come on, Regis, let's get going."
"Yes, my master, this loyal bond will follow you anywhere." Regis mocked.
"Shut up."
The two entered the city and started walking down the street. Behind them, Ganesha and Shakti watched.
"Interesting lad right there. Although his bond does seem familiar." Ganesha said.
"I feel like I've seen his bond somewhere too. But the memory eludes me." Shakti added.
Ganesha shrugged. "Oh well doesn't bother me too much. Besides, he seems like a good enough lad. Maybe he and Ardee will become friends?"
Shakti turned her head to Ganesha. "Maybe, she's just starting to break out of her shell again since the incident. I would like it if she had more friends around her."
Ganesha patted Shakti's shoulder. "Don't worry. Ardee's scars will heal, and soon enough, she'll be back to her regular old self."
Shakti smiled. "I hope so."
Ganesha patted her back once more before turning around.
"Next!" He bellowed.
The next person at the gate stepped forward while Shakti's gaze remained in the direction Bell left. She was trying to rack her brain on where she had seen Regis before. Or something akin to him.
.
.
.
.
"This is odd. How come no one is recognizing you?" Bell asked Regis.
The two were sharing a mental link, thanks to their bond. This allowed the two to talk in each other's minds away from prying ears.
"No clue, maybe it's something the old man did?"
"But I thought he only healed me?"
"Old man could've used his arcanum to help you out a little bit when you did arrive in Orario. He and Alfia wanted you to keep your last name a secret for as long as humanly possible."
"But won't my god know my last name when they give me a falna?" Bell asked.
"That's why we're going to Miach. Old man always did talk about how trustworthy he is."
Bell nodded, and the conversation ended as he started taking in the sights. Tall buildings made of wood and stone surrounded the streets, with Babel Tower standing in the center.
People of all races littered the streets. Walking around or rushing to their jobs. Elves, Dwarves, humans, cat people, werewolves, and chienthropes littered the streets.
It was quiet and culture shock to Bell seeing so many different races. Something to which Regis laughed up.
"Yeah, keep staring and looking like a dumbass. Only makes it easier for you to stick out."
Bell quickly shook himself out of his stupor. "You know where we're going?"
"Yup, follow your lovely guide. Off to Miach's we go."
Bell rolled his eyes but followed Regis all the same. He would've gotten lost otherwise if he didn't.
Regis led Bell to the Northern end of Orario. Leading him down a street, the two came upon what appeared to be a small shopping district. The sign of a place called the Blue Pharmacy caught Bell's eye.
He pointed to the sign. "Guessing that's the place?"
Regis nodded. "Yup, looks like it's fallen on hard times though."
The two walked to the door, and inside, Bell could see a blue-haired man standing behind the counter. Bell opened the door, and the bell above it rang, signaling his arrival.
The blue-haired man straightened himself before smiling at Bell.
"You're a new face, welcome to the Blue Pharmacy. How can I help you?" The man greeted.
The door closed behind Bell as he and Regis walked in.
"Are you Miach?" Bell asked.
The man nodded. "That I am young man. Now, how may I help you?"
"I have a letter for you. It's from a mutual acquaintance."
Miach quirked an eyebrow as Bell slung his bag over his shoulder. He reached inside it and grabbed the letter addressed to Miach before handing it to the god.
Miach opened the letter as Bell and Regis stood there.
Miach old friend
I entrust to you my Grandson by adopted nature. I ask that you care for him and watch over him during his time in Orario. As you know, I can't return to the city thanks to those that ran me out.
Please watch over him and guide him on the right path of his adventuring journey. He'll need someone kind and fair on his shoulder with what he's about to face. I also reveal to you in confidence that he is the last reaming Leywin of Arthur's side. Please make sure he grows up well.
Your friend
Zeus
Miach set the letter down and looked at Bell. His eyes widened in shock and surprise.
"So Zeus has asked that I look after you, and that you are a Leywin as well. Tell me, how is Zeus? It's been some time since I've seen him last."
Bell grimaced and looked away. "He's back in heaven."
Miach's face dropped, and a sadness filled his eyes. "Oh, I see. When and how did it happen?"
Bell looked to the ceiling. "Last year, my Mana Core was poisoning me, and there was no way he could cure it. So he used his arcanum to save my life."
Miach nodded. "I see, and you decided to come to Orario after you got better."
Bell sniffled and lowered his head. "No, my aunt was dying, and I wanted to spend her final days with her. You might've known her."
"Who was your aunt?" Miach asked.
Bell sighed and wiped his eyes. "My aunt is the Silence."
Miach's eyes widened in shock once more. "Your aunt is that woman!? She died during the dark age."
Bell shook his head. "She didn't, she survived and made her way to our cabin. That's where she spent the last years of her life. Raising me and teaching me how to use my magic and fight."
Miach noticed the sad undertone of Bell's words and placed a hand on his shoulder. Bell sniffled once more.
"I'm sorry for your loss, Bell. When did she die?" Miach asked, calming down from his surprise.
"Four days ago. I left right after burying her. The house felt too empty." Bell said.
Miach gave Bell a comforting pat. "I understand, here, why don't we take a seat."
Miach led Bell to a sofa sitting in the corner of the back room. Inside, it seemed to be a little common area. There was a dinner table and chairs as well as a kitchen. Further back was a room that appeared to be a lab, and to the left of that was a staircase leading upstairs.
Bell and Miach sat down while Regis laid at Bell's feet. Bell could sense one other person deeper inside the building.
"I'm sorry for your losses, Bell. Things like that can be difficult. But with someone of your name and the talents you inherit with them, are you sure you want to join my familia?"
Bell nodded. "Yes, Grandpa always spoke highly of you when I asked about the gods in Orario. You and Astraea, but she doesn't accept men."
Miach nodded. "I see, alright. If you've made up your mind, I won't try to change it. However, I must tell you that I am in debt, and it's quite a steep one."
"Oh, that's no problem. I have my aunt's vault key, so I could probably help pay off that debt." Bell responded.
Miach smiled. "That's very kind of you. But make sure you have enough to take care of yourself first."
Bell nodded and began taking off his shirt. Miach reached over to the table and grabbed a small needle. He pricked his finger and let a drop of his divine blood soak onto Bell's back.
His Falna reactivated again, and Miach's eyes widened slightly at the numbers.
Bell Leywin
Miach familia

"Your stats are high for a level one. How come you didn't level up?" Miach asked, copying Bell's stats on a piece of paper.
Bell looked at the numbers and smiled again, seeing his falna back. "Grandpa said to always get my stats to the highest they can go. That way, when I level up, my base stats will be stronger."
Miach nodded as Bell burned the paper to ash. Miach got off the couch as Bell put his shirt back on.
"So, who's the other one that lives here?" Bell asked.
"Oh, that would be Nazha. She's the captain. Would you like her to know about your secret?" Miach asked.
Bell thought about it for a moment. If she was going to be his captain, he would have to trust her. She would be the one making sure he was prepared to face the dungeon.
"Yeah, she can know. She is going to be making sure I'm ready for the dungeon after all." Bell responded.
Miach winced slightly. "Ooh yeah about that. We actually don't go into the dungeon anymore. An incident happened, and Nazha freezes up when she sees a monster."
Bell's face filled with slight concern. "Oh, that's tragic. Is she ok on the surface?"
Miach nodded. "Yes, she is. But Nazha hasn't set foot back into the dungeon since."
Bell nodded. "I see, I'm sorry she went through that."
Miach smiled. "Thank you for your kind words. Nazha, can you come in here, please."
A brown-haired chienthrope woman walked into the back room. She wore a half-blue, half-green shirt with a black skirt. Her eyes were purple, and she had dog ears and a tail. Bell noticed the right sleeve of her shirt was longer and that she also wore a glove there as well.
"Yes Lord Miach? Oh, who is this?" She said, her voice sounding monotone but sweet.
Miach gave her a warm smile. "This here is Bell, and from today onwards, he is now a member of our familia."
Nazha's eyes widened slightly before narrowing. "You are aware we have a massive debt, correct?"
Bell nodded. "I am, but I should be able to help out with that."
Nazha nodded, and her gaze softened. "I see, well welcome to our familia then. As you can see, I'm the only other member."
"Nice to meet you. I'm Bell." Bell said, sticking out his hand.
Nazha grabbed it with her left hand and shook it. All while, Miach smiled.
"Well, with introductions out of the way, there's something you should know about Bell," Miach said.
He went back to the front of the store and grabbed Zeus's letter. He took it to the back room and handed it to Nazha. She read the letter, and her eyes grew wider and wider.
"You're a Leywin and the Grandson of Zeus?!"She yelled.
"That's not all," Regis said in a sing-song voice.
"Did he just talk?" Nazha asked.
Bell nodded. "Yeah, that's Regis. He's my bond."
"Sup." Regis greeted.
Nazha propped herself up on the counter. "Okay, that's a lot to take in. Anything else I should know?"
"I'm also the nephew of the Silence," Bell added.
Nazha looked at him and fainted. Miach was quick to catch her, with Bell rushing to their side.
"Help me get her on the couch," Miach said.
Bell and Miach carried Nazha to the couch while Regis started laughing.
"Heh heh damn Bell, not even in the city for a day, and you're making women faint."
"Shut up, Regis."
"Interesting bond you've got there."
"He's an asshole, I know."
The two set Nazha down and stood above her.
"What now?" Bell asked.
Miach clicked his tongue. "Well, now we wait for her to wake back up. Anything else you need to do?"
Bell nodded. "Yes, I still need to deliver a letter to Astraea and go and see how much money is in Alfia's vault."
"Alright, I'll see you when I get back. Welcome to my familia, Bell."
.
.
.
.
Bell exited the Blue Pharmacy along with Regis and began their journey back to the main road. They were heading to the Stardust Garden.
"How do you even know where that place is?" Bell asked.
"Astraea was just starting up her familia around the time they took on the great quests. Your dad paid visits to them from time to time to check up on them. Hell, he treated those girls like they were his daughters. He probably would've adopted them after the great quests were over. But we know how that turned out."
Bell frowned slightly but kept walking. "So what can you tell me about them?"
"Well, I only remember there being three of them at the time I was around. The captain Alise, the vice-captain Kaguya, and a prum who liked to make bombs named Lyra."
"And how would you describe their personalities?"
"Eh, they were children, so whatever I remember about them has long since changed. You gotta remember it's been like 15 years since I saw them last."
"How old were they when you met them."
Regis thought for a moment. "Hmm, Alise was around seven, and Lyra and Kaguya were about six, so pretty young."
Bell nodded, and the two continued on their journey. Bell still took in the sights of the city. Amazed at the architecture and all the races that lived here. It was also his first time walking on a stone road.
Plus, with all the vendors and shops, Bell felt a tiny bit overwhelmed.
"You doing alright?" Regis asked.
Bell nodded. "Yeah, there's just so much."
Regis chuckled. "Don't worry, you'll get used to it eventually."
"I will say one thing about the city. There are a lot of pretty girls."
Regis laughed. "Oh, the old man would've loved to hear you say that."
Regis continued leading the way until the two finally arrived at the Stardust Garden. It was a mansion with the outside painted white with marble pillars at the doorway. Surrounding the building was a giant flower garden comprised of white roses.
Bell stood outside the gate along with Regis. He hadn't rung the buzzer yet.
"Hey Regis, if the girls don't recognize you. Will that make you sad since you used to be so close with them?" Bell asked.
Regis was quiet for a minute. The minute dragged on while Bell patiently waited.
"Nah, I've been alive so long people come and go for me. Besides, it'll also confirm our suspicions that the old man did something else when he used his arcanum."
Bell rang the buzzer at the front gate, and the two waited.
"What if nobody's home," Bell asked.
"Then we come back another time," Regis responded.
Bell nodded his head, and the two kept waiting.
"You know it's a nice day outside."
"You suck at small talk."
"Shut up. I'm trying to fill the quiet air."
"Shut up, poet."
"Fuck you, dog."
"Um, excuse me, can I help you?" A soft voice asked.
Bell and Regis both looked to the gate, seeing a shy blue-haired girl standing there. She had a crescent mark around her neck. She wore a long-sleeved white shirt and long green pants. Her eyes were cerulean, and her hair was short.
Bell could tell she was a little timid.
Bell decided to give her a soft smile. "Hello there, I'm Bell. I have a letter I need to deliver to Astraea. May I come in?"
The blue-haired girl opened the gate and gestured for Bell to come inside. Bell and Regis stepped inside, and the woman started leading the two.
They entered the mansion, and Bell took in the sight. Velvet red carpet with white walls and pictures of the familia placed all over the house. Houseplants littered the house as well, adding scenery to it.
"You know who she is?" Bell asked through their mental link.
"Nah, she was after my time."
"Huh, well, she is pretty, I'll say that."
"Hey, my partner over here thinks you're pretty," Regis said aloud.
Bell faced palmed while the girl squeaked. She glanced behind her, and Bell could see her cheeks were red. Was she not used to getting complimented?
"T-t-thank you. I, uh, I like your poncho." She stuttered out.
Bell looked down at it. A sense of sadness washed over him. He quickly brushed it away before she realized, however.
"Thank you, my aunt made it for me."
The trio kept walking, with Bell having no idea where they were heading. The silence was loud and awkward. Regis has a grin on his face for embarrassing Bell.
"Hey, you never told me your name," Bell said, breaking the silence.
"O-oh, it's Ardee. What's your bond's name?"
"Asshole, but I normally call him Regis for short."
"You think you're a comedian, don't you?" Regis responded.
Bell ignored Regis, still offering a friendly smile to the shy Ardee. She seemed nervous being around new people, and Bell was trying to make her as comfortable as possible.
"So, um, why can your dog talk?" Ardee asked.
"He's a magic dog."
"Wolf."
"Same thing."
Ardee nervously smiled at the two's banter. She could tell they were close. Before Ardee could ask anything else, she stopped.
"This is Lady Astraea's office. Um, I do have to ask that you give me your weapons, please."
Bell still smiled at her. "Alright, sure thing. I do ask that you take care of these for me. They're very important to me."
Bell grabbed his bow and took it off his shoulder, handing it to Ardee. He then reached behind him and took his knife out of its sheath before handing it to her as well.
Ardee took the two weapons and held them. Bell knocked on the door and heard confirmation that he could enter.
"Regis, wait outside. Keep Ardee here some company."
"Ah, look at you. Using the old flirt with girls using the pet trick."
Bell rolled his eyes before walking into Astraea's office. He shut the door behind him and saw a walnut-haired beauty sitting at an oak desk.
Behind her was a gray owl with ocean-blue eyes sitting on a windowsill. Another desk was connected to the oak one on the woman's left.
In front of the oak desk were two chairs with a couch pushed up on a wall behind those. The room was also well exposed to sunlight as well, having two giant windows behind the woman.
"Yes, can I help you?" Astraea asked.
"I have a letter for you. It's from a mutual friend of ours." Bell said, fishing inside his bag.
Astraea sat up straight as her brow furrowed in confusion. Bell handed the letter to her, and Astraea opened it, reading the contents of it.
Astraea
I know you as a kind and fair goddess. This here is Silver's son and my Grandson. That means you know who he is. What his last name is.
I've advised Bell to keep his last name a secret for as long as possible. But as we know, there are some things you can't keep secret forever. There will be those who wish to harm him for who he truly is.
I know this is selfish of me, but I ask. In the memory of Silver and as a favor to me that you watch over this boy. Watch over him and help keep him safe.
I know you don't accept men into your familia, so I've already taken care of that part. But please, keep an eye on my Grandson
Sincerely
Zeus
Astraea set the letter down and looked at Bell. Her eyes appearing softer. Like a deep sadness had filled her being.
"You have his eyes. I see that now." She softly spoke.
"I assume you knew my father well?" Bell asked.
"I did, he was a kind man. Like a father to my girls when we were first starting out. I was saddened hearing the news that he died."
"Well, the old man said he went down swinging. Good a way to die as any, I guess."
Astraea brushed past that comment. It was clear to her that the topic of his parents was rough on Bell.
"So, Zeus has asked that I watch over you. Since you're a Leywin, he knows the trouble that'll bring you. He wants me to help protect you against unflatterly individuals."
Bell chuckled. "Still looking out for me, huh, old man? Even from the afterlife."
Astraea furrowed her brow in confusion. "Afterlife, what do you mean, Bell?"
"Zeus is back in heaven, and the Silence is dead and buried. I'm the last one left of my family still standing." Bell responded.
Astraea stared at Bell in shock and surprise. "Zeus is gone, and how do you know who the Silence is?"
Bell looked away from Astraea and crossed his arms. "My mana core was poisoning me. There was nothing they could do to cure me. So Zeus used his arcanum and healed me. Alfia survived her fall into the flames and then came to live with us after. Told me the story of how she saved your familia from the juggernaut."
Astraea felt a small tingle of fear shoot down her spine. Hearing that name made her have flashbacks to her entire familia being nearly wiped out.
"She saved them...from that thing?"
Astraea sensed no lie, but she had to be sure.
Bell nodded. "Yeah, I hear they were pretty beat up but alive. After she saved them, she made her way to our cabin. Where she proceeded to spend the rest of her life."
"So she's dead now? Are you 100 percent certain?"
Bell felt a slight twinge of anger in his veins. But he kept it suppressed. "Yes, I buried her myself. Wrapped up in her bead cloth from the bed she died on."
Astraea calmed down and cleared her throat. "My apologies. I can see I've made you upset."
Bell sighed and looked back at her. "It's fine, but yeah, that's all I had to do. Guess I'll be seeing you around then."
Bell then opened the door and left Astraea's office while said goddess was still trying to process Zeus being sent back to heaven and Alifa being dead.
.
.
.
.
Bell shut the door behind him and saw Regis and Ardee standing in the hallway. Bell seemed to catch the tail end of the conversation before they turned to him.
"I told her all your embarrassing stories, Bell," Regis said with a wide grin.
"You tell her the one where you dropped a tree on me?" Bell asked, taking his weapons back from Ardee.
Regis scoffed. "No, because that wouldn't make you look back."
Bell just rolled his eyes. "He likes to play with the truth a lot. Don't listen to him."
"So your Grandpa didn't get you drunk, causing you to wander half-naked into the woods?" Ardee asked.
Bell slowly looked over to Regis. "What else did you tell her?"
"Oh, nothing." Regis smiled.
Bell sighed and shook his head. Ardee nervously looked between him and Regis.
"Everything alright?" Bell asked.
"W-w-well, I was wondering. Since you um done with Lady Astraea. I wanted to know if it was alright for me to pet your dog." Ardee asked.
A delighted smile made its way onto Bell's face. He knew more than anything that Regis hated being petted.
"Of course, go right ahead. Regis would love it, wouldn't you, buddy?" Bell asked. The grin never leaving his face.
Regis glared at Bell as Ardee approached. "Sure, I don't mind."
"I fucking hate you." He growled through their mental link.
Bell just smiled as Ardee had her back turned to Bell as she petted Regis.
"He's so soft," Ardee said.
"The softest," Bell added.
Regis looked absolutely furious, but Bell knew he was allowing it to happen. He even intentionally made his fur softer so Ardee would have a better time petting him.
"I'm telling Nazha you're a pervert when we get home."
"Pssh, like she'd believe you. Besides, Miach will be there with his lie detector."
Regis growled but didn't reply. Bell just stood and watched as Ardee ran her hand across Regis's fur.
.
.
.
.
After Ardee finished petting Regis, she led the two of them back to the exit. The trio was at the front gate with Ardee saying her goodbyes.
"It was nice meeting you two," Ardee said. Some of her previous shyness seeming to disappear slightly.
"It was nice meeting you too. Maybe someday we'll see each other in the dungeon?"
"M-maybe," Ardee responded.
Bell noticed some of her previous shyness came back but still treated her the same.
"Well, I still have another errand around. If you want to see me again, just head on over to the Blue Pharmacy. I'll probably be there helping out."
"O-ok."
Bell smiled and waved goodbye as he and Regis walked away. Ardee shut the gate behind them and went back inside.
"Well, she's a shy one," Regis said.
"Oh yeah, something definitely happened to her."
"Agreed, she seems traumatized about something."
"She did seem to brighten up a little when you let her pet you," Bell said.
"She also seemed to perk up when she found out you thought she was pretty," Regis added.
Bell chuckled before he stopped walking. Regis stopped a few feet in front of him and turned around.
"You good?" Regis asked.
"Did we just give someone a positive experience?"
Regis was quiet for a minute before responding. "Yeah, I guess we did."
Bell shrugged, and the two kept walking to the guild. After a few minutes, they arrived to see the place mostly empty.
The guild had tellers directly in front of the entrance with a private area off to Bell's right. To his left was the station where adventurers traded in their monster stones for Valis. Behind the teller's desk was a set of rooms used as private rooms.
"Welp, time to register and see how much money Alfia has in her vault."
Bell entered the guild and walked forward to a teller's desk. Manning, the teller's desk, was a beautiful half-Elf brunette. Her name tag read Eina.
"Good afternoon, sir. How can I help you?" She asked.
Bell smiled. "Hi, yes, I would like to register as an adventurer, and I also inherited a vault key from a family member and would like to check what was left for me."
Eina nodded and reached into her desk, pulling out a piece of paper and a pen. "Alright, if you can just fill out your name, age, familia, and level, you'll be registered. Also, what was the number on the vault key?"
"4B," Bell answered as he filled out the sheet of paper. Once he was done, he handed the paper back to Eina.
"Uh, sir, you need to put your last name down as well."
"I don't have one." Bell quickly responded.
"You don't have one?" Eina asked.
Bell shook his head. "No, I never learned my last name."
"But didn't you just say you inherited a vault key from a family member?"
"I'm adopted, I never took their last name as I felt I didn't deserve it." Bell lied.
Eina nodded. "I see, well, I guess I can file it away like this. Follow me to the vaults, please."
Bell and Regis followed Eina behind her desk and deeper into the guild. After a minute of walking, they found the vault.
"Here we go, 4B. Give me your key, please." Eina said.
Bell handed her the key, and Eina used it to unlock the vault. Once it opened, Bell and Regis's mouths dropped wide open.
Stacks upon stacks of Valis were inside the vault. Eina's eyes widened briefly before she grabbed the clipboard that was inside the vault with the amount on it.
"Your total inheritance is just over four billion Valis," Eina said.
"Did you say billion? Like with a B?" Bell asked.
Eina nodded. "Yes, I did."
"Holy shit. Holy shit!" Bell yelled.
Bell couldn't believe how much money Alfia had left him. He could do so much with this. He could help so many people with this much money.
"Would you like to make a withdrawal, Bell?" Eina asked.
Bell already knew what he wanted to do with some of his money.
"Yes, please, I would like to withdraw five million valis, please."
Eina nodded. "Alright, I'll be right back."
Eina walked away, and once she was gone, Regis spoke.
"You're fucking rich!"
"I know, holy shit, I'm rich!"
Once Eina came back, Bell packed up the five million Valis and went home. He knew exactly what he wanted to do with this money.
Well, another chapter of the rewrite comes and goes. Big difference here is that Ardee is alive, and there's a reason for that.
When I initially started White Core, I didn't know about or really care for her character. But as I started writing more and more stories, I added her in some and fell in love with her character.
So she's here now, and she and Bell will get pretty close.
Anyway, small rant over. I'll see ya next time.
