Kat was planning for a "wet" surprise that morning for Coop. He filled a few balloons with a special mixture of his own including hot sauce, itching powder, one droplet of Plutonium, worms and water. He was definetly sure that it would make Coop surrender for real this time, and could win this race against him.

After preparing balloons, Kat snuck upon Coop's room and began to set up a trapwire that would trigger the balloons to be thrown. While he was setting up the trap, he noticed something odd. He was hearing whimpers, they were low but coming up on a stable frequence. As he was looking around for the source of it, he realized it was coming from Coop.

"Meow?" said Kat, he was confused. He climbed up to Coop's bed to see what was going on. As he was getting close to his face, he realized something was unusual with him. He was slightly shaking. And when he got close, he looked at his face with utter confusion. His eyes were… teary. He looked like he was in pain, his face was frowned, his lips were moving as he continued to whimper.

"I'm sorry… please… no please… stay… i can't…" Kat heard these words but couldn't figure out what they were for. What was he sorry for? Whom he was begging? What was causing him this much pain? Sure as Kat snuck up multiple times to Coop's bedroom he came across to Coop having nightmares, but this was something else.

Kat didn't know what to do for a moment. He did want to get revenge for yesterday but seeing Coop like that hit something in Kat. While he enjoyed torturing the kid now and then, seeing him in an emotional distress like that made him feel sorry for Coop. "Wow" he thought to himself, "i guess i'm getting softer and softer every month." He dismantled his trap and recollected the balloons. While he was leaving the boy's room, he thought that waking him up would be a better option. Because whatever this was, it was not enjoyable to watch. And maybe waking him up could be still… funny. So as he emptied all of his balloons, he refilled one of them with water and before leaving his room finally, he threw the balloon straight to the boy's face.

Coop woke up suddenly while yelling "NOO!" and froze in his bed for a moment. He tried to adjust himself to the reality, he was horrified about the dream he'd seen and was definetly relieved that it was over. But then he began to wonder… why the hell was his face so wet?

He saw Kat standing on his paws near the door. He was looking at him curiously because of his scream but then he began to snicker seeing the boy like that.

"I just want to wake up peacefully for once, just once but you can't even give me that can you? get the hell out you feline freak!" said Coop and then he threw his pillow to Kat. Kat couldn't react in time and ate it straight to the face, but in the end it was just a pillow so it didn't hurt at all it just startled him. He removed the pillow and threw it through the corridor, then he stuck his tongue out to taunt Coop one last time, then left the room. Coop growled at him but then he just sighed and got out of his bed to change his clothes.

Rest of the day was classic for him, he ate his breakfast then he began to prepare his skateboard and helmet for the skate park. While he was preparing, his father knocked on his door.

"Hey sport, may I come in?"

"Sure dad, i was just preparing my gear."

Burt entered his son's room, went to Coop's side and took a seat near to him.

"Wow, your skateboard looks in great shape, you really are taking care of it nicely."

"Of course dad, after all it's my third one and i gotta protect it and take good care of it. After all someone… or something might break it."

"Yeah yeah i know Mr. Kat broke all of them before, right." Said Burt with a bored face, but then he decided to change his attitude.

"So son, I know you don't want to talk about it but about tomorrow…" said Burt, he was kinda anxious about his son's reaction but he was determined to take his son with him no matter what.

"Dad wait… you don't have to talk about it, or to be frank, you don't have to convince me about going to my mom's… grave. I already thought about it and… oh boy, I've decided to come with you no matter what."

"Wow son I… really?"

"Yes. I know that i should face my emotions no matter what, i'm still incredibly scared about it but i know i have to do this."

"My, my… and here i thought i could've not convience you for a whole day but… it seems you already made your decision. I can't tell you how much i'm proud of you son…"

"Heh, thanks dad. I just want one thing though…"

"Sure sport, what is it?"

"Please be by my side the whole time, I don't want to do this alone."

Upon hearing this, Burt felt a strange sensation on his chest. It was a weird mixture of sadness, proud and happiness. He was moved by what Coop said.

"Of course buddy, i'll always be by your side." As he said that he hugged his son passionately and kissed his forehead.

"Then we'll go there early in the morning okay? After that i'll take you where ever you want because you earned it son. I'll wake you up don't worry."

"Okay dad, sounds nice." Said Coop, he was still unsure if this was a good idea but it had to happen no matter what.

"Okay, better go now then, you don't want Dennis to wait for a whole day do you?"

"Oh shoot you're right. By then dad! Love you!" said Coop while he was running out of his room. Burt took a look at his son from back, and smiled softly as he went.
