Chapter 18: Black and White

"Finally, she speaks! Nearly two days and you've given me nothing but small talk and weird looks!" Sun said after Blake asked if we wanted to know more about her. Blake gives Sun a firm look. "Yeah, like that."

Blake rolls her eyes before closing them and looking at us sadly. "Sun, Lana? Are either of you familiar of the White Fang?" Blake asked.

"Of course! I don't think there's a Faunus on the planet who hasn't heard of them. Stupid, holier-than-thou creeps that use force to get whatever they want. Bunch of freaks, if you ask me!" Sun said.

"I've only heard of them when you were arguing with Mother," I said.

Blake sips her drink while listening. Then she dropped a bombshell on us. "I was once a member of the White Fang," Blake said.

Sun promptly goes cross-eyed and chokes on his drink, making him put it down and wipe his mouth as he holds up a hand to process this information. "Wait a minute, you were a member of the White Fang?!" Sun shouted, surprised.

My eyes widened in shock when I heard the news and I nearly fainted. "Mama, what? You were a part of the White Fang before?!" I shouted.

"That's right. I was a member for most of my life, actually. You could almost say I was born into it..." Blake said.

"Mama... What is the White Fang?" I asked. The scene shifts to a simple silhouetted flashback of fallen weapons plunged into the ground - swords, guns, any number of combinations

"Back then, things were different. In the ashes of war, the White Fang was meant to be a symbol of peace and unity between Humans and the Faunus." Blake explained.

We are shown the dark outlines of two trios - animal-eared and tailed Faunus on one side, regular Humans on the other - shaking hands and making peace after their struggle. This does not last long, as seen by a white Faunus cowering in fear of the gray-and-black aggressors harassing the hybrid. Later, more Faunus are pushing the crowd away from their bullied brethren.

"Of course, despite being promised equality, the Faunus were subjected to discrimination and hate. Humanity still thought of us as lesser beings. And so, the White Fang rose up as a voice of our people. And I was there." Blake said.

Silhouettes of Faunus protestors are revealed, and emerging from the shadows is a young girl with dark hair and cat ears.

"I was at the front of every rally. I took part in every boycott. I actually thought we were making a difference. But I was just a youthful optimist." Blake said.

Cutting from the child version of Blake, the blue flag of a white wolf with sad eyes and a circle behind its head is lowered, and raised in its stead is a red monster with three bloody scratches and teeth bared at the world.

"Then, five years ago, our leader stepped down, and a new one took his place. A new leader, with a new way of thinking." Blake said.

A quick series of images are shown - Faunus replacing their picket signs with axes and blades, windows being broken, thieves leaping on trains to steal their cargo.

"Suddenly, our peaceful protests were being replaced with organized attacks. We were setting fire to shops that refused to serve us, hijacking cargo from companies that used Faunus labor. And the worst part was, it was working. We were being treated like equals. But not out of respect... out of fear."

The flashback shows one more image of three Faunus individuals standing in a dominating manner with malicious grins until Blake puts down her teacup in front of a stunned Sun and me.

"So, I left. I decided I no longer wanted to use my skills to aid in their violence, and instead, I would dedicate my life to being a huntress. So, here I am: A criminal hiding in plain view. All with the help of a little black bow." Blake said. She wiggles her cat ears beneath the fashionable design to demonstrate.

"Wow, Ma. I never knew this." I said, still surprised. I was still trying to process the information Blake told me.

Sun is still coming to terms with this. "So... have you told your friends any of this?" Sun asked.

Blake merely looks down in shame and says nothing. Sun and I exchanged concerned looks.

Weiss's POV:

We have been wandering the streets of Vale for hours now, looking for our missing daughter and missing teammate.

"Blaaaaake! Lanaaaaa!" Ruby screamed.

"Blaaaaake! Lanaaaaa!" Yang shouted.

"Blaaaaaaaake! "Lanaaaaaaaaa! Where aaaare yoooouuuu!?" Ruby screamed.

"Blake! Lana!" Yang shouted. By now, I was getting tired of their constant screaming. I just wanted to find Lana and Blake and get out of these stupid streets.

Ruby turns to me. "Weiiiiss, you're not helping," Ruby said.

"Oh, you know who might be able to help? The police." I said.

Ruby crossed her arms in irritation. "Ugh, Weiss," Ruby said.

"It was just an idea!" I argued.

"Yeah, a bad one," Ruby said.

"Weiss, I think we should hear her side of the story before we jump to any conclusions," Yang said.

"I think when we hear it, you'll all realize I was right!" I said.

"And I think Weiss's hair is wonderful today!" Penny said from behind us. Ruby turns around suddenly with us in surprise.

"Ahhh! Penny where did you come from?!" Ruby shouted.

"Hey guys! What are you up to?" Penny said cheerfully.

"Uhh..." Ruby said.

"We're looking for our friend, Blake, and our daughter," Yang replied.

"Oooh, you mean the Faunus girl!" Penny said. Ruby, Yang, and I stared at Penny in shock. Blake was a Faunus?

"What? How did you know that?" Ruby asked.

"Uhh, the cat ears?" Penny said. Penny points to her head.

Yang laughs a little. "What cat ears? She wears a... booooowww..." Yang said nervously. The realization leaves us in silence as a tumbleweed blows through the wind.

"She does like tuna a lot," Ruby whispered.

"So, where is she? And your daughter?" Penny asked.

"We don't know. They've been missing since Friday." Ruby said.

Penny gasped. "That's terrible! Well, don't you worry Ruby, my friend," Penny said as she approached Ruby who was uncomfortable. "I won't rest until we find your teammate and your daughter!" Penny said.

Ruby does her best to continue smiling. "Uh, that's really nice of you Penny, but we're okay! Really! Right guys?" Ruby asked us.

Ruby looks over at Penny to direct her question at Yang and I who's blinking outlines are all that's left of our sudden departure from the company of the strange girl. A tumbleweed blows past them again in the quiet.

"It sure is windy today!" Penny said.

Lana's POV:

I held Blake's hand as we walked down an alleyway. Sun walked with his hands behind his head.

"So, what's the plan now?" Sun asked.

"I still don't believe the White Fang is behind these robberies. They've never needed that much Dust before." Blake said. Sun's eyes widened.

"What if they did?" Sun said. He lowered his arms and paces in front of Blake as he continued his theory. "I mean... the only way to prove that they didn't do it is to go to the place where they most likely go to if they were to do it, and not find them there! Right?" Sun said.

"I think you may be on to something, dude!" I said excitedly.

"The only thing is I have no idea where that would be," Blake said.

"Well, while I was on the ship, I heard some guys offloading a huge shipment of Dust coming in from Atlas," Sun said.

"How huge?" Blake asked while letting go of my hand.

"Huge! Big Schnee company freighter." Sun said.

"You're sure?" Blake said.

"For real?" I said, my eyes widening in surprise. Why would the White Fang need so much Dust?

Weiss's POV:

We came out of the shop with Yang, waving to the person inside. Every person we asked has said they haven't seen Blake or Lana.

Yang sighed. "This is hopeless," Yang said at me when she looked around nonchalantly "You really don't care if we find them, do you?"

"Don't be stupid, of course I do! I'm just afraid of what she'll say when we find her. And I'm worried about Lana. The innocent never run, Yang!" I said, calling over my shoulder as I walked away. By now, I am getting frustrated. I am mad Lana ran away but again; I do feel bad for fighting in front of her with Blake.

As I continued walking, I accidentally ran into someone. "Oh, I'm sorry," I said quietly.

"That's okay." A voice said. I looked up to see a grown boy and a girl, one had dark skin with brown eyes and curly black hair, wearing a black and red Spider-Man costume.

The girl had white skin with blue eyes, she had blond hair and her highlights were pink. She also had a Spider-Man costume, but it was pink, white, and black.

There was an older man and an older woman. The older man looked to be Mexican, with light brown skin color and red eyes. His muscles were big, and he too was wearing a red and blue Spider-Man costume. The woman had a darker skin color with brown hair pulled back in a braid with brown eyes. She looked a whole lot like the boy.

"Have you seen our daughter? We've been looking for her for a long time after she ran away." The boy said.

"Umm... what's her name?" I asked.

"Lana." The girl said. My eyes widened. These are Lana's parents? I remember Lana has a Spider-Man costume just like the girl in front of me. These must be her parents.

"Yeah... I am looking for her too. She is my daughter too. Well, adopted daughter." I said.

"Oh?" The woman said.

"I'll explain later. I'm Weiss." I said.

"Miles." The boy said.

"I'm Gwen." The girl said.

"I'm Rio, Lana's grandmother." The woman said.

"The name's Miguel." The older man said. The older man looked kind of intimidating. He must be Lana's husband, the one she has been telling me about.

"You guys can come with me if you want," I said.

"Great, thanks," Miles said. As I started walking forward, I caught a glimpse of Gwen kissing Miles on the cheek.

"We're getting closer. I can feel it." Gwen said.

"I hope so," Miles said.

I couldn't help but give a small smile. Lana has some good parents looking out for her, ones that love her unconditionally.

Ruby's POV:

I continued my walk with Penny, who was asking me so many questions that it was hard to keep up with her.

"So, Blake is your friend? And Lana is your daughter?" Penny asked me.

I sighed as we made our way down the walkway. "Yes, Penny," I said.

"But you're mad at her?" Penny asked.

"Yes, well, I'm not. Weiss is." I said.

"Is she friends with Blake?" Penny asked.

"Well, that's kind of up in the air right now," I said. Penny is trying to contemplate this.

"But, why?" Penny asked.

I sighed again. "Well, you see, Blake might not be who we thought she is," I said.

Penny gasped. "Is she a man?" Penny asked.

"No! No, Penny. She's..." I stop and sigh, looking at Penny as she talks now. "I don't know what she is. She didn't exactly talk to us before she decided to run off."

"I don't have a lot of friends, but if I did, I would want them to talk to me about things," Penny said.

I turn her and gaze downward sadly. "Me too..." We continued walking until we saw a strange group of people in front of us.

One of them was a girl who had a dark skin color with black hair and brown eyes. She wore a heavy purple costume. The other one was a man who had white skin color with blue eyes and brown hair and wore a red and blue Spider-Man costume.

The two men in front of us both had dark skin color. They both had a red and blue Spider-Man costume on. One of them had bushy hair and a leather jacket while the other one had shorter curly brown hair.

"Excuse me?" The girl said.

"Yes?" I said.

"Have you seen my wife? We have been looking for her for a long time but we haven't found her yet." The girl said.

"What's her name?" I asked.

"Lana." The girl said. My eyes widened when she mentioned Lana's name.

"We came here hoping she would be here." The older man said.

"She is somewhere around here. She is my daughter, and I am looking for her too." I said.

"What happened?" The girl asked.

"She... ran away after her other parents had a fight," I said. The others exchanged looks.

"We will help you find her. I'm Margo." The girl said.

"Thanks. I'm Ruby." I said.

"I'm Peter B. Parker." The older man said.

"I'm Hobie."

"And I'm Pavitar."

"Nice to meet you guys. Now let's go find Lana." I said.

The rest of us continued our journey to find Lana. Lana is going to be so happy when she sees that I have her family with her.

Lana's POV:

Amidst the chirping of crickets and darkness of night, Blake and I lay flat on her stomach on the rooftop overlooking the shipment of Schnee Dust containers.

"Stay close to me the whole time, understand?" Blake said. I nodded to let her know I heard her. Blake warned me that the White Fang was dangerous before we came here.

"Did I miss anything?" Sun said from behind us.

"Not really. They've offloaded the crates from the boat. Now they're just sitting there." Blake said.

"Cool," Sun said. He holds out one of the green apples in his arms. "I stole you guys some food!"

Blake and I give Sun a questioning look. "Do you always break the law without giving a second thought?" Blake said.

"Hey, were you in a cult or something?" Sun said, defensively countering. Blake delivers an angry glare at him. "Okay, too soon!"

"Oh, Lana, some people were looking for you," Sun said. I looked at Sun questingly. Then, two people I recognized walked up to me. I recognized them to be Jessica Drew, my mentor, and Jefferson, my grandpa. I can't believe it...

"Jessica? Grandpa?" I said.

"Hey, Lana," Jessica said. Jefferson immediately took his phone out.

"Rio! Miles! I found her! We're located at a warehouse." Jefferson said.

"Okay, we are on our way." I heard Rio say on the other end of the line. Jefferson hung up. I hugged them both tightly.

"I missed you guys," I said.

"What are you doing in a place like this?" Jefferson asked/demanded.

"I... I'm kind of on a mission right now." I said.

"And what are you wearing?" Jessica asked, looking at my Wonder Woman huntress outfit.

"Um, I'll explain later," I said.

Just as I say this, the winds blow all around us, and we look up to see a Bullhead's searchlights flashing around for a landing spot, descending in the middle of the cargo containers and extending a ramp for a black hooded individual with a metallic fanged mask to come out of.

"Oh no..." Blake said.

"Is that them?" Sun asked.

"Yes... it's them," Blake said.

One of the White Fang members to the other White Fang members coming from the aircraft, motioning with his rifle. "All right, grab the tow cables!"

"You really didn't think they were behind it, did you?" Sun said.

Blake is staring sadly at the scene. "No, I think deep down I knew... I just didn't want to be right." Blake said. She closes her eyes in despair, only to open them suddenly when she hears a new voice.

"Hey! What's the hold-up?!" The soldiers look up at Roman gesturing widely and coming down the ramp. "We're not exactly the most inconspicuous bunch of thieves at the moment, so why don't you animals try to pick up the pace?"

"This isn't right. The White Fang would never work with a Human. Especially not one like that." Blake said. She stands up and unsheathes the Katana of Gambol Shroud before walking off the edge of the roof.

"Hey, what are you doing?!" Sun yelled. Without thinking, I drew out my God Killer sword and shield and ran after Blake.

"Ma!" I yelled. I followed after Blake as we jumped off the roof and fell down in a crouch.

"Lana! Get back here!" Jefferson yelled. I ignored him and continued running after Blake. I hid behind one of the containers with Blake, peeking behind a corner to see Roman berate a White Fang member holding a coil of rope. My spider senses went off to warn me about the danger.

"No, you idiot! This isn't a leash!" Roman said. As he's looking around, Blake and I made a surprise sudden appearance behind him with her blade to her throat. I wrapped my lasso around him to ensure he wouldn't escape. "What the- Oh, for f-" He rolls his eyes when he's cut off by Blake mid-swear.

"Nobody move!" Blake shouted.

"I'm warning you all. Not one step!" I yelled. I held onto my lasso tighter. The lasso was glowing brightly. Jefferson and Jessica studied my weapon from afar.

"Woah! Take it easy there little ladies!" Roman said.

"Who are you calling ladies?!" I shouted, tugging on the lasso.

As the White Fang closes in on us, Blake uses her free hand to go for her bow and remove it, causing the ribbon to fall away. Her Faunus ears are shown to the world.

"Brothers of the White Fang! Why are you aiding the scum?" Blake said.

The White Fang members lower their weapons a little at this development, unsure of what to do, when Roman laughs.

"Oh, kids. Didn't you get the memo?" Roman said.

"What are you talking about?" I demanded.

"The White Fang and I are going in on a joint business venture together!" Roman said.

"Tell us what it is or we will put an end to your little operation." Blake threatened.

Suddenly, the air is filled with more turbans blowing in the wind widely around the holdup. Roman looks up.

"I wouldn't exactly call it a little operation..." Roman said.

Two more Bullheads are hovering above the heist, and as Blake and I watch in horror, Roman smiles and manages to fire his cane at Blake's feet, resulting in a large explosion.

"Mama!" I shouted when she fell back. Roman smiled at me.

"Now it's your turn, Spider-Girl," Roman said. Roman shot the cane at me. I deflected the bullets with my gauntlets but fell back, landing on the floor. Blake caught me in her arms.

"Lana!" Jessica and Jefferson shouted.

Margo's POV:

Penny and Ruby turn around upon hearing the noise, seeing the smoke rise from the docking bay just a few buildings away. I looked in their direction and realized it was the place Lana was located. I got a call from Miles saying they found her location.

"Oh no..." Ruby groaned.

"Lana!" I cried.

"We have to go!" Peter shouted.

We ran towards the explosions to save my wife before it was too late.

Lana's POV:

Blake, dazed but relatively unhurt on the ground, quickly rolls and runs out of the way of Roman's continued attacks, flaming missiles destroying cargo behind her as she flips and uses her semblance to dodge then retreats behind more containers. Roman continued to attack me too, but I flashed some lightning at him to distract him, along with Blake's shadow, and hid behind the containers with Blake.

Jefferson and Jessica observed the fight from the roof. Jessica observed my lightning strike with surprise. "How'd she do that?" Jessica whispered to herself.

Roman approaches us slowly. "Here, kitty, kitty, kitty," Roman growled. His taunt is interrupted when a banana peel lands on his head, causing him to toss it aside, then look up and growl at the assailant eyes widening.

"Woohoo!" Sun shouted.

Sun leaps up from the container above Roman and drops down on the criminal's face feet-first rolling up and readying himself to fight. I smiled while watching him.

"Leave them alone!" Sun shouted.

The Bullheads open up to let more White Fang members descend onto the scene, standing by Roman as he gets up and surrounding Sun.

"You are not the brightest banana in the bunch, are ya kid?" Roman said.

With that said, the White Fang charges at Sun, but he manages to dodge and slashes and get some of the soldiers with his fists and kicks until he rolls out of the way of one's sword.

"Haha!" Sun laughed.

Pulling out a collapsible red staff, he quickly uses this to beat down each opponent that nears him, felling each one in a single flaming blow when he twirls it around, even creating a scorching shockwave to beat the last of them.

I peered out of the corner of the container with Blake to watch Sun jump around and beat another White Fang soldier, landing on his back and causing him to fly over Roman's head. The crime boss ducks then growls in annoyance and aims his cane at Sun firing a shot that he defends himself from just when Blake and I leap into action. I gave out a battle cry when I made my entrance.

"He's mine!" Blake yelled.

"And mine!" I also yelled.

Blake goes in close and becomes a blur of afterimages as she slashes both blades at Roman. I helped Blake out by shooting more lightning at Roman and also slashing my sword at him, giving battle cries with each slash. Roman backs away and deflects each would-be blow with his cane at unbelievable speeds. Even I had a hard time keeping up. Blake and I continue to dash and hop over, and slide around Roman to try and find a weak spot. Finally landing a blow after using our Semblance but he quickly recovers, deflecting several more attacks before attempting to punch Blake in the face. Roman throws a punch at me too. I yelped and kicked Roman in return. Roman only hits a clone when he attempts another punch as she flips away. The three of us clash weapons again, then Torchwick jabs Blake in the side. Roman delivers another jab at my side as well. I groaned in pain but was able to recover.

"Haha!" Roman laughed. He lands a few more hits on me and Blake until finally beating us in the head with his cane, causing us to go down.

Just as Roman deals with one opponent, Sun appears right behind her. Vaulting over Blake, he kicks Roman in the chest and disconnects his staff into two spinning circles of flame-firing shotgun nunchucks that only slow down once. before becoming twin arcs of offense again. Sun swings each gun at Roman while firing everything he as at him, but even with the rapid series of shots and flying bullets, Roman manages to defend himself against every bullet and hit until a millisecond-long pause allows Blake to get a slash in and knock him back.

On his back, Roman notices a container hanging by a crane right above the three warriors and gets up to fire his cane at its supports.

"Watch out!" I heard Jefferson yell.

I felt my spider senses going off. I look up to see the container falling. Blake leaps behind it, while I react quickly and jump out of the way, flying in the air. Sun barely misses when he jumps forward, ending up right below the nozzle of Roman's cane. Just as he's about to fire, his and Sun's attention is drawn to a familiar voice.

"Hey!"

Ruby appears on the rooftop overlooking him, Cresent Rose extended and ready for action. I looked up at the roof to see Ruby with another person next to her. The person had a red and blue Spider-Man suit. I recognized that suit.

"Miguel?!" I shouted. Miguel didn't respond to me. He just glared at me through his mask. I floated in the air, still in shock. If Miguel is here, then that means my other family members must be nearby.

Roman loses his interest in Sun and waves to Ruby. "Well, hello, Red. Isn't it past you're bedtime?" Roman said.

I saw Penny approaching Ruby. "Ruby, are these people you're friends?" Penny asked.

Ruby looks behind her. "Penny, get back!" Ruby said. While her attention is diverted, Roman snarls and fires his cane at her, launching the young huntress back from the forces and sending her scythe flying away. "AAAH!"

"No!" I heard another familiar voice yell. I saw my dad, Miles stepping into the scene with Gwen standing behind him.

"Dad? Mommy?!" I shouted in surprise. Gwen smiled at me. Miles and Gwen took their fighting stance. Miles attempted to charge at Roman but Roman shot him with his cane too.

"Miles!" Gwen yelled worriedly while running to him.

Roman gives off a professional evil laugh at his attack on Ruby and Miles. Penny turns her head towards the criminal and gives her first glare, walking forward while Ruby and Miles try to get back up.

"Penny, wait, stop!" Ruby shouted.

"It's too dangerous for you," Miles said.

Her backpack mechanically opens up, and from its dark depths comes a single sword that extends and multiples into several blades hovering over Penny's back. Leaping from the rooftop with the weapons acting as wings, she sends three of her swords to knock two White Fang soldiers down before even landing on the ground, where she proceeds to fling the swords at one enemy, impale another to a wall, create a barrier of spinning steel against a running attack, leaping over a goon with her swords in tow, and finally making a wheel that she throws to knock multiple Faunus off their feet.

Sun is observing the spectacle in amazement. "Woah!" He shouted. He then runs off to safety.

Three Bullheads come from the skies and open fire on the battle, but Penny merely forms a shield and launches two of her swords into the wall behind her, which in turn pull their wielder back with their strings. When her swords swirl around her again, she commands them to open their points and build up a large glowing ball of green light. With a punching action, several bright lasers crack the pavement when they fire at the transports and slice each one in half, causing several of the White Fang members inside to fall and letting Ruby and I watch as Bullheads fall in pieces behind her.

Stunned, Ruby turns back to Penny as she aims her swords at the remaining Bullheads holding the crate of Dust and pulls back on their wires, tugging the aircraft with them.

Ruby is watching in awe. "Woah, how is she doing that?" Ruby whispered to herself.

Seeing the Bullhead's flight fall under Penny's control, Roman grimaces and turns to run towards the last transport.

Penny, after her large green pupils dilate for a second, pulls with all her might on the strings, and the aircraft crashes into a stack of crates, causing an explosion as a result.

Roman is watching from safety as he escapes. "These kids just keep getting weirder," Roman muttered to himself. With his observation made, he uses his cane to close the doors, and the jet lifts off, flying away from the lost battle.

Later, a handful of police cars are at the docs, where Ruby, Blake, Sun, Penny, and I are sitting on the boxes in silence. I held onto Ruby's hand tightly as I processed everything that had happened. My family. I finally found them after so long. I regretted running away from them.

"Mommy... you... found them?" I said, sobbing a little.

"Yes, Lana. I did." Ruby said. I cried into Ruby's shoulder.

"I regret running away from them! I regret running away from you guys too! I'm sorry Mommy, I was just so overwhelmed!" I sobbed.

"I know, Lana," Ruby said, hugging me. I continued to cry into Ruby's arms until Weiss, Yang, and my family walked up to me. I wanted to say hi to them, but Weiss had an angry glare. I knew I had to deal with Weiss first.

Ruby speaks quickly to explain the situation. "Look Weiss, it's not what you think, she explained the whole thing. See, she has kitty ears, and they're actually kind of cute. And Lana said she is sorry and won't do it again."

Weiss ignores her and squares off with me and Blake.

Blake is calmly looking her down. "Weiss, I want you to know that I am no longer associated with the White Fang. Back when I was little-" Weiss cut off Blake.

"Stop. Do you have any idea of how long we've been searching for you?" Weiss said. Weiss pauses before continuing to speak. "Twelve hours. That means I've had twelve hours to think about this. And in that twelve hours, I've decided..."

Everyone looks at each other, worriedly.

"I don't care!" Weiss said.

Blake looked surprised. "You don't care?" Blake said.

"You said you're not one of them anymore, right?" Weiss said.

"No, I haven't been since I was-" Weiss cut Blake off again.

Weiss silences her, holding her hand up. "Ah-bahp-bahp-bahp! I don't want to hear it. All I want to know is that the next time something this big comes up... you'll come to your teammates. And not some..." Weiss paused, looking at Sun behind her as she caught herself. "Someone else."

Blake is looking at Ruby and Yang, grinning at her as she wipes a tear from her eye. "Of course," Blake said.

Weiss smiles and nods, but she turns to glare at me again. "And you!" Weiss shouted, making me jump a bit. "We've been searching for you for twelve hours! How could you just run off like that?"

"I'm sorry, Mother- I was overwhelmed and stressed with you and Ma fighting. I- I couldn't handle it!" I said.

Weiss's face softened for a moment. "I'm sorry I yelled, Lana. But that doesn't mean you go running away. You can't always run away from you're problems. Next time, if you feel stressed and overwhelmed, then you come to us. You can take a break too, but don't run away. Come talk to us after." Weiss said.

I sighed before speaking. "Okay, Mother. I won't run away again." I said. I looked back at my family. "I promise I won't run away anymore."

Weiss smiled at me. "Good," Weiss said. Weiss's face turned serious again. "But you're grounded for a month," Weiss said.

I sighed again, accepting my punishment. "I like her," Rio whispered to Jefferson.

It was silent again until Ruby broke the silence, screaming, "Yeah, team RWBY is back together!"

As the five gather with each other, she points accusingly at Sun. "I'm still not quite sure about how I feel about you!" Weiss shouted. Sun laughs nervously.

I ran over to hug my wife, Margo, and my parents. "I am so sorry I ran away," I said.

Margo kissed me on my forehead. "It's okay, Babe. We're just glad you're safe." Margo said.

"That's all that matters," Miles said.

"Don't forget Lana, we love you. We always will." Gwen said.

"Thanks, Mommy. I love you guys too." I said, hugging them again. After I hugged everyone, Miguel gave me an angry look.

"I- I'm sorry, Miguel," I said, nervously.

"We will talk about this later," Miguel said dangerously. I hung out with my family and team RWBY for a while. I told them about my semblance and showed them my cool powers. Everyone was in awe, watching me create different weather patterns and flying. Some of them were jealous that I could fly, lol.

When I finished showing them, we noticed that Penny was missing. Ruby was looking around worriedly. "Hey, wait a minute... Where's Penny?" Ruby asked.

From the darkened back seat of a limo, Penny watches the group of friends and family reuniting with each other.

"You should know better than to go running around in a strange city." Penny's driver said.

Penny lowers her head sadly. "I know, sir," Penny said.

The car drives off from the scene. "Penny, your time will come."

No POV:

Meanwhile, Ozpin is seen holding a Scroll showing a "LIVE FEED" of Ruby at the docks. He closes the video and opens up a communication with Qrow, whose team name and other information are left blank, and his only message is: "QUEEN HAS PAWNS."

"Hmmm..." Professor Ozpin said to himself.

The scene cuts to a view of Beacon Academy bathed in the light of the nearly full moon as the credits roll and the background fades to black.

Roman walks into a large warehouse with a shadowy interior. He goes over to a table and places down a case of mysterious contents, sighing in tiredness.

"How very disappointing, Roman," Cinder said from behind him.

Roman is turning around suddenly when he hears the voice and their noisy entrance. "Whoa! Hehe... I wasn't expecting to see you guys so soon..."

of the three figures before Roman, only her head, containing yellow eyes and flowing dark hair, is seen. "We were expecting... more from you."

Roman laughs before getting serious. "Hey! You were the one suggesting working with the stupid mutts from the White Fang." Roman said.

Cinder chuckles darkly. "And you will continue to do so," Cinder said. She summons a fireball in her hand and steps out of the darkness with her two companions, a gray-haired man, and a mint-haired, tanned woman. "We have big plans for you, Roman. All we ask is... a little cooperation."

Cinder Fall's evil smile is shown before everything cuts black.

A/N:

HEY EVERYONE, AFTER A LONG TIME I FINALLY FINISHED WITH RWBY VOLUME 1! NOW I CAN FINALLY MOVE ON TO RWBY VOLUME TWO!

I am so happy I can finish the volume, and I'm sorry it took me so long and keep re-publishing this story, I had trouble finding a good crossover and starting point to write the story, and some asshole keeps bullying me, and telling me to kill myself. To whoever is bullying me, back tf off and leave me alone, I have as much right to write stories as anyone else. I am so tired of you bullying me and sending me death threats. Please just leave me alone.

Anyway, I am glad Lana is finally reunited with her family. I am excited to write more of her journey of being a huntress in future volumes and I am so happy RWBY got a new home at Viz Media so team RWBY can continue their story.

I hope you all enjoyed reading and as always please follow, favorite, and review!

Thank you.
