Chapter 5
Jasper POV
To say I was shocked when I ran up to Bella's house to find Peter, Char, and Bella all standing outside was an understatement. One, I told Bella to wait in her room. Not there. Two, she feels very out of sorts, but also very tired. That explains Peter wanting me to put her to sleep. Three beat Peter's ass for calling me Xanax and telling me what to do. Sounds about right.
"Hi, Jasper." Sounds like a quiet voice. Bella. Her voice though quiet, I would recognize anywhere due to her importance in our lives.
"Hey, Bella. I'll explain everything tomorrow. Go get some sleep darlin' you're dead on your feet." I tell her in reply.
"Okay. And thank you for coming and helping me Jasper. It means a lot to me."
"No worries. I'll be here when you wake up."
"We all will sugar," Char pipes out with a soft smile in Bella's direction. Opening her arms, she asks "Are you ready?"
"Yes."
Char scoops her up, jumps through her window, and jumps back out. I hear Bella settle into her bed and send her lethargy and calm and she is out like a light.
Turning to Peter I shift into Major mode a little. "Report, Capitan."
Instantly recognizing the change Peter snaps to attention. "Bella is the daughter of the eldest Charmed One, Prudence Halliwell. Prudence bound Bella's powers until she died. Prudence died today. The middle sister, Piper Halliwell did a spell to bring her sister back resulting in bringing Bella to the Charmed household and discovering her true lineage. The younger sister, Phoebe Halliwell had a premonition of Bella being killed by Laurent, and him telling Bella Victoria is after Bella. The remaining Charmed Ones wish for our assistance to train Bella in her powers and protect her when she is not with them. Char is from a distant branch of the Warren line there for a previous witch herself and can train Bella. Bella also wishes to attend her mother's funeral and get to know her family sir."
Bella Swan? The girl sleeping upstairs? Little Miss Danger Magnet? Well, I guess that last one kinda made sense. She's a witch, we're vampires, and the shapeshifters are next door. I'm surprised she didn't attract anything worse sooner. "I've been told The Source's assassin Shax is still hunting. Is it for Bella?"
"I don't think so. At least not yet," Peter replies.
"Then who is he hunting?"
"I don't know, but he's not done with the Charmed Line," Well, that's interesting. Shax is still hunting, but for who? I'll have to discuss this with the white lighter tomorrow.
"When Shax comes for Bella and assuming you're right, he WILL come for her; we might have the upper hand. Shax has aerokinesis which is the ability to manipulate air against another, he does have our strength, but we are fast. If we keep on our toes and stay ahead of him, we should be fine. Once he knows we're protecting Bella though he's going to be using his ability to teleport with lightning, so we'll need to pay attention to that. Ultimately, he can only be killed with a power of three spells if I remember correctly because he killed the last witch that tried," I tell them both. "Another thing," I punch Peter square in the face. "Don't tell me what to do."
"Damn Major!"
