Allah's mercy is evident in the natural phenomena that benefit humanity, such as rain, which brings life to the earth. "Wha..?" Ichigo uttered in surprise as the ghost beside him begged for his life.
"N.. No.. I.. Don't want to go to hell!" he cried.
"Do not presume," Rukia stated stoically. "In sha Allah...What awaits you is not hell. It is the Soul Society."
The man began to disintegrate beside Ichigo, instilling immense fear in the teenage boy.
"Alhamdulillah...Unlike hell, it is a restful place," Rukia added.
"subhanallah...What... What happened?" Ichigo asked in fear. "Where's the ghost?"
"I sent him to the Soul Society," Rukia answered stoically, looking at the scared boy. "In sha Allah...To ask if you believe me or not..."
Ichigo looked up at the shinigami, concerned.
"It no longer seems necessary," Rukia concluded, observing his eyes.
Silence filled the air before Rukia decided to reveal more information about the state of the world.
"In sha Allah...I will explain so that a brat like you can understand," she started seriously. "Now, in this world, there are two types of virtual entities."
Suddenly, she paused, looking around the room for pen and paper to better illustrate her explanations. When she returned, she showed the teenage boy, still lying on the floor, her drawings of her favorite cartoon character, Chappy, as an explanatory illustration.
"The first type is the 'wholes,' the normal cyber residue from expired neural chips of 'deceased' persons," she explained with Chappy drawn in a white background littered with hearts to represent their goodness. "The ghosts you know are of this type."
In the second drawing, bad Chappy was surrounded by dark energy. "Now the other type..."
Rukia enthusiastically showcased her art despite the seriousness of the topic.
"We call them 'hollows,'" she said. "Hollows attack everyone indiscriminately, causing death and destruction."
"Hollows are evil cyber entities," she said in a grave tone.
Silence fell between them.
"Any questions so far?" she asked thoughtfully, knowing that the concept she just explained isn't that simple in reality. The fact that cyber entities walk alongside normal people and how they come to escape the system is, in itself, a terrifying anomaly that started a thousand years ago.
"Hmmm..." Ichigo contemplated seriously. "Why do your drawings suck so bad?"
Rukia gingerly got up from her seat stoically and took out the marking pen she saw from one of the cabinets.
"Hey!" Ichigo exclaimed in frustration when he realized what she's doing to his face. "What the..?! You took advantage of my helplessness!" he complained.
"Bismillah...Let us continue," Rukia said as she returned to her seat, leaving Ichigo sporting a French mustache on his face. "Monsieur General."
to be continued...
