Al-Mutakabbir (The Majestic)

Quran (Surah Al-Jumu'ah 62:1):

"Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allah, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Exalted in Might, the Wise."

Hadith (Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 93, Hadith 624):

"Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'Allah does not look at your faces and your wealth but He looks at your hearts and deeds.'"

In a world often driven by materialism and individualism, acknowledging the majesty of Allah encourages a balanced perspective, reminding individuals that true greatness lies in recognizing the supremacy of the Divine and acting in accordance with His guidance. This can contribute to fostering compassion, justice, and moral conduct in various aspects of contemporary society.

As an heir to the Kuchiki clan, Byakuya was tasked with memorizing the laws in Soul Society that govern how citizens must act in society and the laws of Allah that outline how a Muslim must act in the world.

Soul Society, a melting pot for souls from around the world given another chance at life, established laws ensuring equal rights and freedom within the limits set by the system. The Soul King holds the system, and Central 46 and Gotei 13 implement them.

Regarding Islamic laws, they apply only to Muslims. Since three of the four greatest noble clans were Muslim, most Shinigamis from those clans, including Gotei 13 members, were referred to as servants of God. This fact made Byakuya proud of being a Muslim.

Since childhood, his grandfather trained him to uphold the faith and its principles wholeheartedly, accepting it as an ultimate truth. However, some, like Yoruichi Shihoin, leader of the Shihoin clan, held different opinions.

Yoruichi, who had tormented him as an adolescent, had a knack for transforming from a cat into a naked woman, making him feel guilty and sinful. Despite his resentment, she continued to harass and tease him, making him forget his etiquette and manners. The mischievous princess was later banished from Soul Society after aiding the escape of criminals, a loss Byakuya felt despite disliking her antics.

When he was younger, Byakuya had been involved in alcohol consumption due to Kyoraku's mishap. He unintentionally drank a whole gallon of sake (he was exaggerating), leading to humiliation and a vow never to drink again. This experience made him reflect on Allah's prohibition of alcohol, as it turns people into utter fools (he peed on himself, while Yuruichi almost died laughing at him in her drunken stupor).

Before that, Byakuya also got involved with fellow nobles causing trouble in Seireitei and attempting to escape into Rukongai. But soon they realized that the world outside of the wall is a terrifying place, though thankfully Kyoraku and Jushiro Ukitake, his teachers, saved them from potential harm.

All these experiences left a mark on Byakuya, but the worst was committing zina. Knowing he would be punished and the Kuchiki clan's reputation tainted, he knelt, begging Hisana for forgiveness. She reassured him with love, and they decided to marry to avoid public shame.

Months after their wedding, Byakuya discovered he contracted the same disease as Hisana, preventing him from procreating. He accepted the consequences of his actions, sympathizing with Hisana's plight. To protect their secret, he planned for a change in leadership, as the 28th generation of the Kuchiki bloodline would end with him and repent his sins in silence for the rest of his life.

A sinister smile graced Aizen's face as he reveled in his success. He had managed to destroy the four greatest noble clans of Soul Society without being exposed.

The Kyuraku clan had lost the will to assert their leadership, the Shihoin clan weakened due to their leader's absence, the Shiba clan withdrew from Gotie 13 due to a feud with the Kuchiki clan over their leader's death, and the Kuchiki clan's lineage ended, with Byakuya losing interest in expanding his clan. Now, he had the freedom to use Rukongai as he pleased, with no one standing in his way.

Aizen calmly sipped his tea, silently observing as his painting finally revealed its picture. He wouldn't allow a fantasy, the system, or those incompetent wannabe authorities to limit his freedom. He was determined to own everything and do as he pleased.

He vowed never to let himself be controlled again. His ambition was to become the Soul King, and no one could stop him from reaching the pinnacle.

At the Squad 1 meeting hall, all the captains gathered to discuss the missing Shinigami in the normal world suspected of transferring her powers to a human, breaking a fundamental law of Gotie 13, and had been missing for 2 months now.

Byakuya entered the hall stoically, drawing everyone's attention.

"Assalamu Alaykom warahmatallahi wa barakatu, Captain Kuchiki," Aizen greeted with a concerned smile, aware that Byakuya's adopted sister was the subject of discussion. Everyone knew Byakuya's influential connections, allowing him to manipulate situations like he did before regarding Shiba's death.

Byakuya met the older captain's gaze with his trademark cold expression.

"Wassalamu Alaykom wa rahmatallahi wa barakatu," he replied in customary fashion, walking purposefully toward his designated position in the lineup.

At the end of the meeting, it was concluded that the criminal, Kuchiki Rukia, shall be personally retrieved by squad 6 captain Kuchiki Byakuya, and lieutenant Abarai Renji.

Ukitake felt like he was about to collapse, while Kyoraku glanced at Rukia's adoptive brother, who remain stoic and cold, as though it doesn't concern him.

Two months prior in the human world, Ichigo found himself in a battle against a sudden hollow appearance in his room. Meanwhile, Rukia's unexpected shout from his closet left him questioning how long she had been living there without his permission.

"Auzubillah...focus on hitting his head in one go!" Rukia instructed, her tone tinged with annoyance. "Don't just randomly swing your sword like an idiot!"

"Astagfirallah... shut up! It's not that easy," he replied, equally annoyed.

"That's why I trained you to hit only the marked ball before," she reminded him.

Ichigo scowled at her. "That mark didn't help at all!" he yelled.

Despite her annoyance, Rukia felt somewhat relieved that Ichigo remained unfazed by the enemy and even had the energy to annoy her. This made her realize the untapped potential he must possess.

Concealed in darkness, someone relishes the unfolding of their plans.

Meanwhile, Urahara remains in his shop, gazing up at the dark night sky.

"Auzubillahi minashaytani rajim," he prays. "Just a few more years..."

Yoruichi stands beside him. "Are you certain this will work?"

Urahara doesn't reply, his thoughts consumed by Aizen.

"It's the only way to break the illusion," he cryptically states. "In sha Allah"
