Al-Qahhar (the Subduer)

"Al-Qahhar" is one of the names of Allah mentioned in the Quran.

Watch for the Day when the earth will be changed into a different earth and the heavens as well, and all will appear before Allah—the One, the Supreme. (Surah Ibrahim (14:48)

Sahih Muslim, where the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Allah, the Exalted, said: 'Verily, when I create a servant for myself, I inscribe a covenant on his heart. Therefore, do not be treacherous to that which I have created for Myself.'"

In the modern world, understanding Allah as Al-Qahhar can bring solace in times of adversity, reminding believers that ultimate control rests with Allah. It encourages humility, as people recognize their dependence on the Almighty. It also serves as a reminder of accountability, urging individuals to act justly and with compassion, as they will ultimately be held responsible for their deeds. This concept fosters a sense of purpose and responsibility in navigating the complexities of the contemporary world.

Before marrying his wife, Byakuya had abstained from getting involved with women, as he saw them as distractions from his goal to expand the Kuchiki clan and rule over the entire Soul society. He believed that the system wasn't effective enough in maintaining the balance of the realms, and he considered Islam the ultimate principle that could solve the world's problems.

He began laying out his plans after realizing how law and order had steadily crumbled following the escape of his teacher, Yoruichi Shihoin, leader of the Shihoin clan, from Soul Society with criminals. Feeling the loss of a talented leader who sacrificed her clan and the well-being of her people, Byakuya believed that if Urahara and the others were truly innocent, they wouldn't fear the law.

Due to these events, the power of Central 46 and Gotei 13 diminished in the eyes of the citizens, allowing lawlessness to run rampant in Soul Society.

Byakuya started investigating Rukongai to see for himself what made his zanpakuto criticize his personal perspective of the world. During his mission, he met Hisana, and her words made him reevaluate how he saw the world.

"Why is the world so unjust?"

"Why do some people have too much while we barely have anything to eat? Why do some have everything while we have nothing?"

Byakuya remembered her asking. Back then, he nonchalantly stated the fact that people get the result of their own labor. The reason some people are poor is that they don't work hard and smart enough like the rich.

Although he still believed that, when he got to know more about Hisana, he realized that hard work and a little knowledge wouldn't be enough to climb the ladder of hierarchy. Seeing her weak and fragile existence, he couldn't help but try holding onto this tragically stricken flower and protect it from the world that tormented her. By doing so, he inevitably went against his principles and wronged his own soul.

But just like a flower, Hisana's life ended abruptly, taking his heart with her. Now he lost his ambition as well as a part of his soul. The only thing keeping him alive was his duties to Allah and the Kuchiki clan as a Muslim and a leader.

After Hisana died, he felt hollow inside.

Days passed after Hisana was buried, and Byakuya never shed a tear or showed any signs of mourning, making people wonder if he really loved his late wife at all. But Byakuya ignored everything and focused on doing his duty.

His routine consisted of praying, going to work, returning to the manor to break his fast, and praying again before falling asleep. The only odd thing he did, aside from his duties, was to mobilize his agents to find Hisana's sister, whom his wife had abandoned as a baby 19 years ago.

Knowing the harsh circumstances in Rukongai, Byakuya suspected that the baby had probably been reborn in the world of the living by now, hence Hisana was never able to find her during her lifetime. But he refused to give up. For Hisana, he would utilize everything to find her and keep his promise to his beloved.

Like a bad joke, it only took a month after Hisana died for him to find Hisana's sister at the Soul Academy.

It was a solemn afternoon, and he came to the academy to see Rukia for himself and validate her identity. Although he was informed that the student looked exactly like his late wife, he didn't expect it to be this similar.

"H..Hisana," the word that escaped his lips upon seeing the beautiful girl, he had loved, looking up at the sky with a solemn expression on her face, like Hisana usually did when she was thinking to herself.

Byakuya felt like his entire being was rendered unmoving, and he was paralyzed in place. Thinking how he missed her. If he were an ordinary man, he would have run towards her and hugged her tightly in his arms, never letting her go

Suddenly, Byakuya saw a red-haired man approaching his beloved, and revulsion coursed through him.

Watching them interact so casually, his fist tightened, and his heart hardened.

"Kuchiki-taicho," his vice-captain called. "Rukia-sama and Abarai came together in the academy from Inuzuri District 78 of Rukongai."

At this information, Byakuya finally snapped out of his silent delirium and swiftly turned away, barely restraining himself from Shunpoing towards them and teaching Abarai his proper place.

"Auzubillah..." Byakuya silently whispered as he calmed his heart.

Now that the truth about the hollow's identity was exposed, Ichigo and Rukia looked at each other after leaving Orihime's residence and healing Tatsuki.

"Rukia," Ichigo called, remembering the difficult fight against Sora, Orihime's brother who became a hollow.

"Alhamdulillah... you managed to defeat the hollow and save everyone," Rukia said, deflecting the issue as soon as possible.

Ichigo looked at her, knowing what she was trying to do, his scowl deepening.

Rukia looked at his face and smiled, although it didn't reach her eyes.

Caught off-guard, he suddenly forgot what he was about to complain about, scratching his head instead.

She suddenly took off, leaving the boy alone standing in the middle of the empty street.

'There she goes again... looking at me with a sad smile,' he contemplated. 'What's wrong with her...'

"Gahhh! That midget!" Ichigo suddenly realized that Rukia had run away without explaining.
