As-Samee' (The All-Hearer)
The Name of Allah, As-Samee', is mentioned in the Noble Qur'an fifty four times, such as Allah's Statement in Surat al-Baqarah (2:127):
رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
"Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us. Verily! You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower."
Al-Khattabi (Rahimahullaah) said that As-Samee' (the All-Hearer) implies the Attribute of Sam'a (Hearing). He Who hears the secrets and the whispers, whether uttered openly or silently. The hearing also could imply the acceptance and response,as in the statement of the Prophet (Salla-Allaahu alaihi wa sallam) :
اللهم إنّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِن قَوْلٍ لا يُسْمَع وَعَمَلٍ لا يُرْفَع وَقَلْبٍ لا يَخْشَع وَعِلْمٌ لا يَنْفَع
"O Allah! I seek refuge in You from a statement which is not heard, a deed which is not raised, a heart which does not submit with humility (to You) and knowledge which does not benefit." [Reported by Ahmad]
The relevance of As-Samee in the modern world is profound. In an age of advanced technology and communication, people often feel a disconnect or anonymity in their interactions. However, the concept of As-Samee reminds us that there is always someone who hears and knows everything, even our innermost thoughts and feelings. This awareness can foster a sense of accountability, mindfulness, and sincerity in our actions and communications, both online and offline. It also provides comfort and assurance that no matter how isolated we may feel, Allah is always aware and listening to us, which can be a source of solace and guidance in challenging times.

Years passed, and Eric faced difficult challenges and life tragedies, realizing that even though he had cut ties with his lineage and rebuilt a new identity, his past still haunted him. Now, with his own family, he decided to take matters into his own hands, accepting responsibilities and listening to the desperate cries for change from those he cared about.
He had to determine what was good and what was not from now on because if not him, no one else would do it, all for the sake of a better future for his unborn daughter and a world better than today's.
Hiroshi clenched his fist, reluctantly accepting that whatever consequences his actions brought to the world, whether improvement or destruction, were his burden alone to carry.
Suddenly, three of his most talented employees entered his immaculate office: Cicada, A8, and Ibi.
He met Cicada in a dilapidated shop; his genius could be considered legendary, but he was extremely lazy. Aware that his knowledge could pose dangers in the wrong hands, he avoided sharing it. Nonetheless, he was obsessed with exploring taboo information. The only reason he joined Eric was to settle a debt, and he was assigned to game mechanics.
A8 was the game strategist and handled data management. He was among the top talents produced by the education system. Meanwhile, Ibi, a scientist from his grandfather's corporation, was in charge of game development and concept.
(24:30) (O Prophet), enjoin believing men to cast down their looks and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Surely Allah is well aware of all what they do.
(24:31) And enjoin believing women to cast down their looks and guard their private parts and not reveal their adornment except that which is revealed of itself, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment save to their husbands, or their fathers, or the fathers of their husbands, or of their own sons, or the sons of their husbands, or their brothers, or the sons of their brothers, or the sons of their sisters, or the women with whom they associate, or those that are in their bondage, or the male attendants in their service free of sexual interest, or boys that are yet unaware of illicit matters pertaining to women. Nor should they stamp their feet on the ground in such manner that their hidden ornament becomes revealed. Believers, turn together, all of you, to Allah in repentance that you may attain true success.
the Prophet (peace be upon him) instructed Ali: O Ali, do not cast a second look after the first look. The first look is pardonable but not the second one. (Tirmizi;, Ahmad, Abu Daud). Jarir bin Abdullah Bajali says that he asked the Prophet, What should I do if I happen to cast a chance look? The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied: Turn your eyes away or lower your gaze. (Muslim, Ahmad, Tirmizi, Abu Daud, Nasai).
"Rukia," Byakuya caught himself calling out her name, whether it was to remind himself that she wasn't the wife he missed so terribly or to wake himself up from the delusion that she was his wife.
"Hai, Niisama," he heard her say, and somehow, it caused an unusual pain in his chest. She might look exactly like his wife, but her voice and the way she carried herself screamed that she was a totally different person.
Silence reigned between them as Rukia looked up at Byakuya, waiting for whatever it was he wanted to say. She then noticed how the fair skin on his forehead crinkled as though he was uncomfortable.
As an orphan who grew up in Rukongai, it was almost second nature to her to observe her surroundings and figure out the situation. Hence, she came to the conclusion that maybe she had disappointed her new Niisama somehow.
Was it because of her eating habits? Or her posture?
After months of spending time around students from noble families, she had learned to imitate their mannerisms to better fit into her new environment in the academy. And yet...
"I will accompany you to your new squad," Byakuya stoically said with his deep, melodious, yet commanding voice, which usually left anyone who heard it for the first time stunned in awe.
Rukia, on the other hand, only heard the crisp tone of his words.
"Yes... She really did disappoint him somehow," she thought.
"Arigatou, Niisama," she answered softer than usual as she suddenly felt unconfident, especially since she knew that she was getting admitted to Gotie 13 without passing the tests and graduating, achieving something she didn't acquire through her own skills and abilities.
Byakuya noticed her cast-down expression, so similar to Hisana's.
"Astagfirallah," he thought to himself, noticing how he had been stealing glances at Hisana's sister more than what was allowed. So, he decided to keep his distance.
Rukia suddenly noticed Byakuya standing up, and she stood as well.
"You can remain and eat more. This is your home," Byakuya wanted to say, but he couldn't find the strength to actually say it as he was supposed to as her brother, what Hisana wanted.
No.
Because to him... She could never be his sister, despite what the papers said and what Hisana wished.
Byakuya walked out of the dining room without saying another word, leaving Rukia standing alone, not knowing what to do.
Finally, Ichigo and Rukia found Chad with the parakeet.
Ichigo called out to his friend, but suddenly he saw his sister, Karin, from afar calling out to him. She looked sick, unlike her feisty attitude.
Rukia saw how worried Ichigo was about his sister, so she instructed him to take care of his sister first, and she would deal with the hollow haunting Chad.
"Rukia," Ichigo called as he held his sister in his arms. "You haven't regained your powers yet..." He continued with a hint of veiled concern.
Silence reigned between them.
"So don't ..." He added, pausing slightly, knowing that his sentimentality was out of character. " ...push yourself too hard."
Rukia was caught off guard, not expecting him to say anything like that to her of all people.
"...You fool," she said as a smile graced her lips. "...as if I would make the type of mistake that would make you worry about me."
Ichigo didn't turn to look at Rukia as he stood with his sister in his arms.
"In sha Allah... See ya!" Rukia exclaimed as she sprint towards Chad.
"Bismillah," Ichigo prayed before sprinting towards their home, wanting nothing more than to ensure that Karin was okay and then catch up to Rukia and Chad.
to be continued...
