Episode 3: Come Out, Henry!

Britt: Number 3 on the way!

Ringo: Right, I see this green engine's name is Henry.

Britt: Correct, and that Thomas, Gordon and the others also randomly know his name from this point on.

Ringo: I assume Edward does too.

Britt: Edward's been there for years, he very likely already knows Henry's name from the get go.

Ringo: Understandable. Here we go.

CUE THEME!

Once an engine attached to a train

Was afraid of a few drops of rain

He went into a tunnel

And squeaked through his funnel

And wouldn't come out again!

This engine's name was Henry.

"YES! YES!" said Henry, proud to see that he's finally acknowledged by name.

On the main line, while running around the whole Island, one of the several stops is a pair of tunnels known as the Ballahoo Tunnels, where Gordon had tortured Thomas.

The left tunnel had only one track going through it, while the right tunnel had two tracks going through it.

Edward puffed through the right tunnel while pulling a goods train.

Henry had stopped in the left tunnel because he was afraid of the rain.

Actually, let me rephrase that, Henry HATED the rain so much. To make things slightly worse, Henry had recently had a new coat of paint the day prior.

He had stopped in the tunnel and refused to start again.

"You ok, Henry?" asked Edward, concerned.

"NOT NOW, EDWARD." replied Henry.

Edward drove off cheerfully.

Henry's driver slipped off the footplate, and stumbled forward.

He and the fireman both stood in front of Henry.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" shouted Henry's driver angrily.

"THE RAIN'S GONNA TAKE MY LOVELY GREEN PAINT WITH RED STRIPES!" protested Henry.

"I mean it's waterproof or something." said the fireman.

The guard, wanting to actually do his job, blew his whistle and waved his flags.

Henry, defiantly staying in the tunnel, would have flipped him off, but he lacked a pair of hands, so he settled with blowing steam at him.

"HOW COULD YOU?!" wailed the guard.

Henry, having calmed down, still stayed put.

Number 5 pulled up alongside him on the opposite side, pulling a train of orange branchline coaches.

Traveling in one of those coaches, was The Fat Controller, or Sir Topham Hatt, the man in charge of all the engines.

STH surveyed the sight and situation Henry got himself in.

He then got off Number 5's train and walked up to Henry.

"Hey Red! Come and join me!" Henry declared.

Number 5 looked at Henry with an annoyed face.

"I might join you, on ONE condition." said Number 5.

"Sweet!" said Henry.

"Guess my name." replied Number 5.

Henry's smile briefly froze.

"Uuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... I know! Jimbo!" answered Henry.

Number 5 looked at him funny, and got cross.

"Wha- Where the hell'd you get Jimbo from?" asked Number 5.

"You look like a Jimbo to me." replied Henry.

"Hmph! I'm out of here." said Number 5 as he puffed away.

"We will pull you out!" Declared STH to Henry.

The passengers all gathered up and pulled, except STH.

"My doctor has forbidden me to pull." said STH.

Henry, unsurprisingly, still stayed put.

"TO THE BACK!" declared STH.

The passengers stumbled around trying to get through the dark tunnel, but they made it. Also STH had somehow teleported to the back for no apparent reason.

"ONE! TWO! THREE! PUSH!" said STH.

He wasn't helping.

"My doctor has also forbidden me to push." said STH.

Unsurprisingly, Henry stayed in the tunnel, not even moving an inch.

Thomas and Eagle, who were both puffing buffer to buffer while having a nice conversation with each other (Thomas was in front and Eagle was behind him), they both came up from behind and pressed against Henry's train.

"THE SKY'S CLEAR AGAIN!" shouted one passenger angrily.

"GET OUT OF THERE NOW!" shouted another.

"Yes, but it'll start again." remarked Henry. "And what will become of my lovely green paint and red stripes then?"

As another passenger told Henry what he could do with his green paint and red stripes, Thomas and Eagle both whistled as they were coupled up.

They both puffed and pushed and pushed and puffed as hard as they could.

They both soon stopped.

"Oh dear god.." panted Thomas.

"Bloody hell, Henry! Did you put anvils in these coaches?!" asked Eagle wearily.

After Thomas and Eagle puffed away, mainly since they had other things to do, STH finally gave up, and the passengers abandoned the fight, having climbed onboard a passenger train being pulled by Edward.

STH then went for a method that indeed made very little sense.

"Okay Henry." said STH in a tone that made Henry briefly jump. "You want to stay in a tunnel? We'll let you stay in the tunnel. We will take away your rails and just leave you here for a LONG, LONG WHILE!"

"Oh really?" scoffed Henry.

They took up the rails and built a brick wall.

The end result was Henry being bricked up in the tunnel.

He was on his own.

All Henry could do now was watching other trains rush through the other tunnel, as Eagle rushed through the tunnel one way while pulling a goods train, and 87546 rushed through it the opposite way while pulling an express train.

87546 and/or Gordon would say "Serves you right!"

Soot and dirt from the tunnel had spoiled Henry's green paint anyway as he wondered if he's ever be allowed to pull trains again.
