Britt: Alright Mr. Starr, I hope you'll like Carlin re narrating the episodes for the Americans across the Atlantic

Ringo: He sounds like an interesting lad

Britt: Yeah, despite having a foul mouth, he's generally a great guy when you get to know him.

Ringo: So, next episode?

Britt: Yep.

CUE THEME!

One night, sometime after the coaches incident of last episode, Thomas The Tank Engine wouldn't stop being a nuisance.

Night after night, he kept most of the other engines awake, as Eagle was the only engine that still slept despite all this.

Gordon and 87546 had made a suicide pact, Henry had drank some booze to try and ignore it, and Number 5 groaned, having been unfortunate to be on Thomas' right, and deal with the brunt of his impatientness.

"I'm tired of pushing coaches, trucks and whatnot! I wanna see the world like all of you do!" said Thomas.

"Did you ever try using some toy globe or anything?" asked 87546.

Gordon, Number 5, and Henry all laughed at this as Thomas sulked.

They all didn't take much notice anyway, as Thomas was a little engine with a long tongue.

That same night, the other engines except Thomas were all asleep, and Edward came into the shed, after having finished his last train of the day.

He was a kind engine and felt sorry for Thomas, despite them both interacting in 2 episodes total prior.

"Are you still awake?" asked Edward.

"Yeah, I couldn't sleep." replied Thomas.

"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get your chance again." encouraged Edward.

"Yeah I guess so." sighed Thomas. "Wait a minute, again?"

Edward sheepishly grinned.

"SO YOU DID KNOW ABOUT THE COACHES FIASCO!" said Thomas angrily.

"What- No I don't!" chuckled Edward.

Thomas glared at him.

"Fine, yes I did." groaned Edward in defeat. "But that's nothing to be ashamed of, little buddy."

"Did you not see Gordon, Eagle, Henry, that number 5, and 87546 laughing their tenders off at me earlier?" asked Thomas.

"Well, we aren't perfect machines or anything." replies Edward.

"Henry's a glaring example of that there." groaned Thomas.

"Anyway, I've got some trucks to take tomorrow. If you take them instead of me, I'll push coaches and trucks in the yard." said Edward.

"Oh thank you, Edward, that will be nice." said a grateful Thomas.

Next morning, while Eagle had asked what he missed and Henry had told him how Thomas had finally shut up and let them sleep in 3 weeks, Edward and Thomas had asked their drivers (Thomas had a new crew), and when they said yes, Thomas ran off happily to find some trucks.

Now the trucks/freight cars, despite their painted on faces, were silly and quite noisy, they talk a lot, and they don't attend to what they are doing. They played tricks on engines that weren't used to them before, as Henry had been painted blue once, before he eventually was repainted to green, and Marklin lost most of his parts. They were saving something 'special' for Number 5.

Edward, being the experienced engine he was, knew all about trucks and warned Thomas to be careful, but Thomas, being himself and too excited, didn't listen.

Thomas did some shunting, back and forth, until he had himself a consistent train.

When the signal dropped, Thomas was ready as a shunter had fastened the coupling.

The guard then blew his whistle.

"PEEP PEEP!" answered Thomas impatiently as he started off.

But the trucks weren't ready, as they didn't feel like moving.

"Oh oh!" they screamed.

"Wait, Thomas, wait!" screamed another truck.

But Thomas wouldn't wait.

"Come on! Don't be screwy with me." puffed Thomas.

"Fine, don't fuss!" grumbled a van and a tanker.

Thomas began going faster and faster.

"WHEEEEEESH!" whistled Thomas happily as he rushed through Henry's tunnel.

"Ohh, too fast!" wailed each of the trucks.

"Geez, I thought you liked going fast!" said Thomas.

"Not with you!" replied a van.

"You pull us too hard!" said a truck.

"I'd rather have Gordon pulling us!" said another truck.

"Then hurry hurry!" called Thomas.

The trucks, unsurprisingly, grew crosser and crosser.

"We'll have to hold back when we get to that hill." said a tanker.

"Like that hill up ahead?" pointed out a smart van.

Sure enough, Thomas approached Gordon's Hill, and began to slow down a bit.

"I don't think that booze is sitting well with me." groaned Thomas.

"Pretty clear that sharing booze with Henry is never a good idea." said Thomas' new driver.

"Hold back!" said a truck.

The trucks then started holding back, much to Thomas' annoyance.

"Oh what the hell now?!" cried Thomas.

The trucks laughed noisily at this.

"Steady now, Thomas." warned the driver.

Thomas himself strained as he tried to get up the hill.

"Oh.. God." groaned Thomas.

"Go as fast as you can!" laughed a truck.

"We there yet?" asked another truck.

"Oh I'll go faster alright." panted Thomas, and he strained himself more.

From the opposite way on another line, 87546 was coming down the hill, having finished his passenger train.

He laughed at Thomas' situation as he puffed by.

Soon, Thomas made it to the top.

"HAHA! YOUR PLAN FAILED!" laughed Thomas.

"GET HIM NOW!" shouted a truck.

"ON ON ON!" shouted the other trucks and vans as they slammed forward and jolted Thomas down the hill at an increasing speed. The guard, reading a book, suddenly smacked into a wall and lost consciousness because of this.

"YOUR WISH IS GRANTED!" laughed a truck.

"IIIIIIIIII REGRET THIS!" wailed Thomas as he flew down the line.

Thomas tried hard to slow down, but the trucks wouldn't let him.

"PLEASE GO BACK TO HOLDING BACK OR SOMETHING!" wailed Thomas.

"ON ON ON!" laughed the trucks.

Thomas flew over the bridge and into Maron.

He saw the buffers as he was diverted into a siding of the goods yard, and screamed in terror.

Thomas shut his eyes, bracing for impact.

"I MUST STOP!" he said.

Thomas soon stopped completely, just touching the buffers while the trucks slammed into each other, laughing themselves silly.

"AGAIN AGAIN!" chortled a truck.

Thomas' driver passed out from all this, while the fireman somehow managed to be calm the whole time.

Thomas himself opened his eyes to see that he wasn't derailed and was still alive.

On his left, a certain shadow fell on him.

"Is that… DEATH?!" asked Thomas.

"Worse." as the shadow turned out to be STH, having watched him.

"What are you doing all the way over here, Thomas?!" asked STH angrily.

Number 5 ran past, pulling another goods train, and he laughed at Thomas' misfortune.

"I brought Edward's trucks for him, sir." answered Thomas, who now knew how much trouble he was in.

"Why did you come so fast?!" asked STH.

"I didn't mean to, I was pushed by these noisy trucks, sir." answered Thomas.

"Thomas, I'm saying this because I love you like any other engine, but you've got a lot to learn about trucks!" said STH sternly.

The driver, realizing it was best to get out of there while they could, began pulling Thomas back.

"After pushing trucks around for a few days, you'll know almost as much as Edward. Then you shall be a really useful engine!" said STH.

Thomas had backed away, now having realized he should have listened.
