Chapter 22: A/N I do not own Merlin. Slight nudity, maybe more (wink wink, nudge nudge.) Definitely more, You don't have to read it if you don't want to, I'll divide the chapter into what would help move the plot on and them being couply.

Cassie raised her hand decisively, and whispered, "Forbærn," her eyes glowing in the dark. Owaine, who had been pretending to sleep, had to hold back the gasp at her use of magic, her treason. A million thoughts went through his head, but he pushed them aside, favoring the one thought that didn't make him want to scream 'How?'

There was much about the girl that he didn't know, She had another life, in another Kingdom. As far as he knew, magic wasn't illegal there. 'But it's evil. Magic corrupts, I have to keep her from using it. No matter what, I will not lose her to the darkness.'

He kept saying the latter as if it were a mantra. 'I will not lose her to the darkness. I will not lose her to the darkness.' He repeated it in his head until he fell into a fitful sleep.

Cassie felt Owaine start to shiver, so she moved closer to him, if that was even possible. She felt his heart pick up speed, though why she guessed incorrectly. With the fire lit, however, she could finally get some rest that night.

Cassie woke the next morning with Owaine not at her side. She started to panic; where was he? Did something happen to him? She got up deciding to look around, but first she had to get dressed. It would not do to be walking around in his shirt, after all. A cursory glance later, and she pulled the shirt over her head, not hearing Owaine walk around the corner.

It took him a second to compose himself after seeing the fair-skinned Aphrodite's naked self. He quickly turned around, making himself busy with the tie on his trousers, trying to hide his hard-on thinking 'I just took care of this!'

"Owaine!" Cassie cried, startled.

"I-I didn't see anything!" he stuttered out nervously. "Not that there's nothing to see, just… Uhm I made breakfast." he said, changing the subject.

"Oh, thank you." she gladly took the change of subject, hoping her cheeks weren't as flushed as she thought. "Here's your shirt. Thank you, for letting me wear it last night." she thanked as she threw the shirt to him, ignoring the slight bulge in his pants, knowing if she stayed on it too much, she would lose all sense of composure.

They ate in awkward silence, more because Owaine had seen Cassie the night before than what had just transpired, but Cassie didn't know that. In fact, she was fantasizing about ways to seduce him; a simple touch here and a lingering look there, a small smile after complimenting him in a low voice, slowly approaching him with swaying hips.

She also ran through how it would feel once she had seduced him; how his chest felt under her fingers, his hot breath against hers, the way his muscles would contract with every movement. Not that she ever would be so bold, her mother had instilled propriety and decorum in her since a small child and it wasn't likely to go away.. But that didn't mean she couldn't fantasize.

Owaine, however, was worrying how best to approach the subject. 'Should I just come right out and ask her? Or should I talk about the Druid girl and her magic? No, that would just make her close up. Should I ask if her family had any? No, I'll ask if it's illegal over there.' he decided, absently standing up and offering Cassie a hand up.

"Thank you." Cassie said, standing up.

She didn't realize, however, that her cloak had caught on one of the rocks she had used to make a circle and when she went to walk forward she tripped, taking Owaine with her.

Owaine landed on his back arms splayed, with Cassie falling on top of him, straddling him. 'Oh, no. She's going to realize my-'

"Sorry. Are you okay? Wha-? Oh!" Cassie said blushing deeply as she realized what it was that was poking her. Her face flushed a deep pink, but she stayed where she was, not wanting to move.

They stayed like that for several heartbeats before Cassie leaned down to kiss him.

'The kiss was unlike any other,' Owaine thought, her weight on his body, her warmth radiating from everywhere, He unconsciously reached his arms up to hold her hips to him 'She feels so good. How is that possible?'

Cassie deepened the kiss when she felt him hold her, parting her lips slightly to welcome his tongue. '¡Nunca me ha besado así, se siente maravilloso!' She wanted nothing more than to just stay there with him in that embrace, but her body felt differently; the friction between her legs, the passion of the kiss, all the tension that had been building up since she arrived in Camelot came to its zenith. She was in love, and wanted nothing more than to make love to this man right here, right now. The warmth she felt was beginning to radiate from her center, she felt it in her chest, in her arms and legs, everywhere.

"Cassie."Owaine moaned, not wanting to, but he just couldn't get the image of her glowing eyes out of his head. For a moment he wanted to not care, to forget about the magic and lie with her. But he knew he wouldn't, he couldn't. Because, then there was no way he could confront her about the magic later and she'd forgive him.

"Cassie….Stop." he said, pushing her off him, and seeing the hurt look flit across her face before she schooled her features.

"I apologize, Sir Owaine. I forgot myself. Let's just keep traveling to Camelot and forget this ever happened," she said, standing up and grabbing the walking stick that had fallen a ways from them, defaulting to the formalities she had been raised with.

"Cassie." Owaine started in an apologetic tone, "I...Th….D'y-" He cut himself off taking a deep breath. "Do you have magic?"

Post chapter A/N Originally it was going to be one chapter, but I figured some might not want to read it, so I divided it and here's the good part ;) But the next chapter won't have missed much. In fact, this one could be a filler, but I liked it too much. Also, I might not be the best at writing this. There's like a crossing of the wires from what I see in my head, to what I write on paper. Leave me your review, help me get better at writing this type of scenes!
