Chapter 10

The morning after Chiaki's failed kidnapping...

"Chiaki-sama, Zenki, today you have meditation. I'm going to sleep a bit and later craft more necklaces with the ward anti-knives, so you have the afternoon free to do whatever you want."

"So we have basically a free day after we try to harmonize our minds and souls..."

"Yes, Chiaki-sama."

"Gokimaru, why are you making more necklaces?"

"Because the neck is one of the few weak points we kishin have, and it would be an advantage to Saki-baasama too, Zenki!"

"OK, I see that, so today me and Chiaki can do whatever we want?"

"Between limits, yes, Don't do anything that could get you in trouble if Saki-baasama sees you!"

"OK, Chiaki, let's go to the main hall and start meditating!"

.:Ne, Zenki, do you want to experiment and try kissing in astral form?:.

.:Sounds good to me, touching your soul feels good, so kissing should feel good too!:.

After a good while of kissing passionately in astral form they paused to catch their breath, metaphorically speaking.

.:Whoa, Zenki!, that felt awesome, even better than fondling!:.

.:I agree, Chiaki, I hope that when we fully mate it feels this good!:.

.:Oh, yes, I hope so, we're both burning with desire for the other!:.

.:The bond isn't bothering us much lately, want to try something? I'll give it a tug...:.

.:Ah, Zenki! I felt that, but the bond didn't pull us towards the other:.

.:I hope the bond stabilizes enough that I can regain my true form! I can't protect you well enough in human form, I'm much slower than in kishin form!:.

.:Zenki, do you hate being human?:.

.:No, but I hate feeling weak, and this last scare has shown me that I need to be faster and stronger to protect you!:.

.:As long as you allow me to protect you too, I don't know what I would do if I lost you!:.

.:Chiaki, thanks, but the instinct to protect my mate is stronger than ever, I want to have you safe in my arms and never let go!:.

After meditating and having lunch...

"Ne, Chiaki, what do you want to do now? I don't know what to do with all this free time, and fighting each other could undo the progress we've made with the bond, even if it's just training."

"I don't know either, Zenki, going to town is out with this last scare, we wouldn't enjoy it, and I don't want to train this afternoon. What I'd really want to do is more cuddling and fondling, but I don't want baachan to catch us in the act... we need privacy!"

"I'd like to cuddle too, but you're right, if we kiss, cuddle and fondle physically, we need to find a spot where Saki-baa doesn't find us!"

"Let's go into the forest and find a clearing where we cannot be seen from the shrine, and then we can do whatever we want!"

Once in the clearing, Zenki and Chiaki divested themselves of their tops and started kissing and fondling, hands roaming their torsos, having a good time playing with each other.

"Zenki, I love you!"

"Chiaki, are you serious? Because I think I'm falling in love with you!"

"Yes, I'm serious and It's not because of the arousal that I say it, I'be been falling in love with you for years, and now I think you may love me back!"

"Yeah, my kishin self is an idiot when feelings like love are concerned, it's only since I turned human that I understand your feelings and started considering you as my future mate. What a waste of time we could have had together!"

"True, but we are together now and that's what matters!"

From the trees, a little bit away from Zenki and Chiaki...

"Damn, that guy is lucky, Chiaki has grown into a fine woman, pity she has the devil's own temper!"

"True, Gouji, and that boyfriend of hers isn't afraid of her in human form, because he's physically stronger than her and can weather her temper. I wouldn't have pegged him as the lovey-dovey type, but it seems that he only shows this side of him to Chiaki!"

"Yeah, look at what he did to the guy that had to kidnap Chiaki, he fried him with lightning, like he told me he would do to anyone who messed with her or hurt her!"

"We have to observe them, search for hints of how to control the kishin and their power!"

Later in the afternoon...

"Ne, Zenki, I think we should head back home, but today was a fine day, we had a lot of fun together!"

"True, Chiaki, today was very enjoyable, even if we didn't mate fully, I wouldn't mind a repeat tonight!"

"Yeah, I don't know how are we going to resist the urges to mate fully... I want you to regain your true form first, though!"

"My kishin self is going to have to resign himself to have human emotions, if something or somebody threatens you I'll protect you, because you're my woman and not because you're my Master!"

A little bit away...

"Did you hear that, Gouji? He just admitted that his true form is that of a kishin and that Chiaki is his Master!"

"Looks like he's besotted with her, Shuuichi, he probably follows her willingly even in his true form!"

Zenki and Chiaki went back to the shrine, but didn't want to meet anybody just yet...

"We need to wash, Zenki, we smell like we've had sex!"

"Can we wash together? We'll help each other like a few days ago, and I can enjoy watching you!"

"As long as you don't mind me watching you too and enjoying the view!"

They went to the washing room and undressed, embraced and kissed one last time and started to help washing each other, enjoying the physical contact and the view of their partner, ending the washing with cold water, to regain their composure.

They dressed in clean clothes, and went searching for Gokimaru. They found him in the kitchen having a snack.

"Hello, Zenki, Chiaki-sama!"

"How did the crafting of the necklaces go, Gokimaru-kun?"

"It went well, Saki-baasama is already wearing hers, me too, and I have here Zenki's necklace." "Here, put on yours!"

"Well, at least it's not a girly design, I don't like the idea of having to wear it, but I see the need..."

"Did you have a good day, Zenki, Chiaki-sama?"

"Oh, yes, very good!"

"I won't ask what you did, just don't get in Saki-baasama's bad side!"

Later, at the Kidou shrine:

"Father, we've been able to confirm that Chiaki's boyfriend is a kishin, even if he currently is in human form, and that he probably is following her willingly. He seems besotted with her and says he will protect her because she's his woman and not because she's his Master!"

"Good work, Shuuichi, now we have to figure out a way to learn how she controls the kishin in their true forms!"

At dinner:

"So, Chiaki, Zenki-dono, what did you do today?"

"We just meditated and enjoyed being together, Saki-baa, we had a very good time!"

"Yes, baachan, it was a very good day!"

"I'm glad your relationship is going well... Please take care of each other!"

"Good night, Saki-baa!"

"Good night, baachan, Gokimaru-kun!"

They went to get ready to sleep and got a two-person futon, since they woke up embraced usually.

"Chiaki, I want to sleep with you in my arms, I'll sleep better if I know you're safe!"

"I'll be glad to. You make me feel safe when you embrace me!"

Just before they fell asleep...

.:I love you, Chiaki!"

.:I love you too, Zenki!"
