Chapter 63 I don't own Merlin. Rated M, don't read if you don't want to. I LIKE THIS CHAPTER!
"You look happy." Owaine greeted that night as they walked back to their chambers hand in hand after dinner.
"I am. Very happy." Cassie said with a bright smile, walking beside him as she kept her eyes forward coyly.
"I haven't seen a smile that bright in a very long time." he noted after a few moments' silence, his thumb lightly tracing patterns on her hand.
"Hmm." Cassie hummed, a few ideas forming in her mind on just how she'd show him her happiness.
"Are you…?" he said slowly as they reached the corridor leading to their chambers and stopping suddenly.
"Am I what?" Cassie asked, her brow furrowed in confusion.
"You know…" he prompted, letting go of her hand and taking her shoulders gently as he turned her to face him.
"I don't understand, what are you asking?" Cassie said, her smile gone as she looked up at him.
"Lambkin, I love you, but sometimes you can be very dense. Worse even than Merlin." Owaine said with a chuckle, taking her hand again and practically sprinting to their chambers with her trailing along.
"Owaine!" Cassie cried with a smile as he closed the door and gently pushed her against it, his lips descending on hers hungrily.
"So? Are you?" he asked happily, his hands resting at her hips as his thumbs moved up and down her hip bones.
"Am I what?" Cassie asked with a short laugh, her hands caressing his face gently as she looked into his bright eyes.
"Are you with child? Are we having a baby?!" he asked happily, kissing her deeply before she could answer and lifting her up with a hand on each thigh, walking backwards towards the bed carefully.
"Owaine. Owaine, stop." Cassie said breathlessly, actively stopping her body from reacting to his touch and holding his face away gently with her hands. "My love, I'm not with child. Yet. One day we will have many children, but, alas, not today." she said gently.
"Oh." he said, obviously deflating and letting her jump down.
"I'm sorry, I really do wish I were. Was." Cassie said sincerely, sitting down on the bed and pulling him beside her.
"I, uh, I-I just assumed. Since you were-you know? And you've also been so…" he stammered awkwardly.
"My love, one day, we will have many children. I promise that, I love you so much." Cassie said, kissing him passionately.
"I love you too." Owaine said when they broke apart.
"Tell me, are you angry?" Cassie asked softly, looking at him uncertainly.
"Angry? Of course not! I could never be angry with you, my Queen." he said sincerely, taking her hand and holding it in his lovingly.
"Disappointed?"
"Only a little. I got so excited when I thought you were- It doesn't matter, really. Tell me why you're so happy." he said, moving back to lean against the headrest and nodding at her to come do the same.
"Well, now it feels like a stupid reason. Why don't we just keep trying to have a child? I can make it worth your while." Cassie said seductively, biting her lower lip and winking at him as her eyes glowed gold and her dress slipped down to her hips.
"I suppose we could do that." he replied huskily, throwing his shirt off and kissing her once more.
"Hmm." Cassie moaned triumphantly, her lips otherwise occupied.
"So, how long do you think we could go this time?" Owaine asked cheekily as he kissed down her neck and arm, nipping at her soft skin.
"Well...I'd wager a good forty-five minutes. But we can definitely beat last night." Cassie replied, taking his chin gently and leading him back up to her lips, taking control for the next half hour as they made love.
"You've had your fun, my love," Owaine panted out as he turned on top of her and smiled wickedly. "It's my turn."
"Maybe we can get to an hour?" Cassie groaned out as his fingers teased her nipples and he sucked on her neck gently.
"Definitely." he said wickedly, winking at her and pushing in passionately as they continued to make love.
"The candle burned out." Owaine pointed out as he hugged her close almost an hour after they entered the room.
"Means we beat the forty-five minutes." Cassie said triumphantly, snuggling into him and feeling him get hard in her once more.
"Want to go again?" he asked wickedly, biting her earlobe gently as she smiled.
"In a bit?" Cassie suggested, kissing his hand.
"Promise?"
"Yep." Cassie said, grinding closer and smiling to herself. "Besides, it gives you more time to recuperate so we can get a family. Finally."
"Okay, so will you tell me why you're so happy, now?" Owaine said, holding her tighter as his hands traced circles along her body.
"I told them. Your mother and your sisters. Alys knows my secret." Cassie told him, turning her head to the side and listening to his increased heartbeat.
"Which one?"
"Both."
"Oh, you mean that you secretly let Merlin and the Lady Morgana use your old chambers at night to be together? Or that you're secretly in love with Merlin and you're just with me because of how good I am in bed?" he teased, smiling.
"Damn, you know me too well. I wanted to tell you earlier, but I just didn't want to break the heart in your perfectly chiseled chest. And you really are very good in bed." Cassie replied with the same teasing smile tracing her nails along his forearms. "Merlin just is much funnier than you are."
"I can be funny!" Owaine demanded, his hands stopping what they were doing and turning her head towards him.
"Not like Merlin. He's funny without even trying to be!" Cassie said cheerfully, laughing at his expression. "I told your family about my past. They know who I was in Hispania. Well I told your mother and sisters, I'm sure by now they told everyone else."
"You're not really in love with Merlin, right?"
"No." Cassie said with a laugh. "Of course not! The big buffoon is very lovable, but my heart is solely yours. I love him as the adorable baby brother I never had."
"Good, your answer left me doubtful."
"What has me curious is what you know about Merlin and Morgana. I only let them once! And expressly told them NOT to do anything funny."
"Well, I guess they didn't think what they were doing was very funny. Perhaps his sense of humor is different from yours." Owaine said flippantly, biting back his smile.
"I'm going to kill them when we get back." Cassie said firmly, shaking her head.
"You should also know it happened more than once." Owaine added, "And tell them I told you. So they don't go back to your chambers. Only you and I can be in there, love."
"How many times, and how much did you see?" Cassie asked with narrowed eyes.
"At least three times, and all I saw was a tangle of feet and black hair." Owaine said.
"Good. Because if you saw anything else, I really would kill them." Cassie said sweetly and dangerously.
"Well, I did see Merlin's…member. But I don't want to think about that right now, we won't be doing anything else tonight if I do." Owaine said, pulling out and turning onto his back with a sigh.
"Well, I should hope not! It's me you're married to and me you're attracted to. And to take your mind off…that, I'm going to give you a little show of gratitude. For letting me know what they were doing in my room without my permission." Cassie said, seductively getting on her knees and looking at him lecherously.
"My pleasure." he said, letting his head fall back, a groan escaping his lips as he let Cassie do whatever she wanted to please him.
"So what secrets exactly does Alys know?" Owaine asked a half an hour later after they'd both finished and lay panting next to each other.
"She knows I have magic." Cassie said, turning on her side and smiling at him.
"Are you sure that's wise?" he asked worriedly.
"I trust her. There has to be someone else I can trust. You're my everything, but you're not a girl. Sorry." Cassie said with a light laugh.
"You wouldn't have this much fun with me if I were a girl." Owaine said with a smirk.
"No, I'd be braiding your hair and talking about boys. Although, with how long it is, I probably could braid your hair and talk boys." Cassie joked with a giggle, running her hands through his hair.
"You can certainly try." Owaine said with a smile, sitting up and looking at her.
"You're giving me permission to braid your hair? Because the last time I did that you were seriously annoyed." Cassie said, her eyes gleaming excitedly.
"No. I said you could try." Owaine corrected with an evil smile.
"I'll give you a head start to get dressed." Cassie grinned, swinging her legs over the edge of the bed and humming a tune as she watched him with playful eyes.
"I have the advantage, you don't know this place like I do." Owaine said, leaning down and kissing her after he threw his tunic over his head. "And when I win, I'll tell you exactly what I win."
"Except I have magic, it'll be easy for me to find you." Cassie said with a grin, kissing him like he did her. "And when I win, I'll tell you exactly what I win."
"Game on, my Queen. Just be ready to lose." he said triumphantly as he tied his trouser strings.
"Well, my Knight. I think it won't matter who wins, we'll both get what we want in the end." she replied huskily, opening the door with her magic and telling him he had thirty seconds.
"What exactly are you doing?!" Mor called out when Owaine ran past him.
"Don't worry. He won't be hurt." Cassie said with a wicked smile as Alys just giggled beside him.
"You two seem like children right now!" Mor called after them.
"Who cares?!" Cassie called back, turning around and walking backwards. "We're having fun!"
"You'd better not be thinking of doing anything like that right now." Mor warned his very pregnant wife.
"Don't worry. We'll have enough time to play hide and seek after we have our children." Alys said with a knowing smile, walking ahead towards one of the rooms in the lower level and letting him trail behind her.
Cassie let her magic flow up in her veins when she knew she was alone and looked into the window, watching in the reflection as her husband ran through the manor towards the minor rotunda near the greenhouse.
"Found you." she said simply, using her magic to lock the eight doors when she walked in stealthily.
"Cheater." he said simply, chuckling as he found the latch on the wall that opened the passage. "Stop using your magic."
"Nope. You have the advantage of a head start and you know this manor backwards and with your eyes closed." Cassie said in a sing-songy voice, walking around the room slowly. "Come out, come out wherever you are…"
"You'll have to find me with your eyes closed." Owaine breathed from behind her, gently tying a soft blindfold around her eyes and kissing her neck playfully.
"Oh, I will, my love." Cassie replied, turning around and feeling around for him.
"You look kind of funny, you know." Owaine said from a few paces beside her.
"We used to play this, my nieces and nephews and I. It's called gallina ciega. And I was very good at it." Cassie said, turning towards where his voice was and walking forwards with her arms outstretched.
"Well, it's a good thing I'm very stealthy." Owaine said with a smile, walking back silently towards the secret papssage he'd opened.
"Not that stealthy." Cassie said with a smirk as she walked closer to him.
"Yes I am. I'll just stop talking now, see if you can find me then." he said, holding back his laughter as he walked through the passage and left it open so she wouldn't walk into a wall.
"We're not even playing the game right, there should be more people and I have to guess whoever I find." Cassie commented as she turned her face here and there, listening for his breathing or steps. "Also, you should have turned me around a few times, got me disoriented first." she said, pausing to listen for him once more. "So you're really not going to make a noise? Not even a hint?" Cassie asked, listening for him. "This is ridiculous, I'm going to use my magic." she warned, hoping for his voice to call out teasingly, 'cheater.'
She let her magic flow once more and felt for his presence in the room, scoffing when she felt no one and taking off the blindfold. "And I'm the cheater. How did he even get out? All the doors are locked. Magically." she said, talking to herself as she wrapped the soft material around her hand and looked around the room. "No lo puedo creer, que tramposo! Hmm, le daré un poco de su propia medicina." she said to herself, closing her eyes and using her magic to instinctively slow down time, running out through the secret passage and going to where she knew he would go.
"Wonder how long it'll take her to figure out I left." Owaine said to himself, leaning against the tree by the pond and looking back towards the rotunda.
"Just a few seconds, my cheating Knight." she said softly from behind him, reaching up and tying the blindfold around his eyes.
"How'd you- oh never mind." he said, turning around and putting his hands on her hips.
"Oh, no. It's your turn now." Cassie said playfully, turning him around five times and leaning up to kiss him gently before she walked back and slipped off her dress.
"This isn't fun." Owaine said as he stumbled a bit and hit the tree.
"It is for me." Cassie said lightly, laughing as he turned his head everywhere but where she was.
"No, it really isn't." Owaine repeated, slowly walking towards the pond, away from her.
"You might want to take off your clothes, unless you don't mind being soaked from head to toe." Cassie said with a giggle, coming up behind him and letting her hands slip under his tunic, her fingers lightly grazing his skin as she pulled it up over his head.
"Does this mean I win? Because you couldn't find me without cheating." Owaine said, turning around and reaching up to take off the blindfold.
"Uh uh uh." Cassie said, quickly taking hold of his wrists and stopping him from reaching back. "I'm not the cheater who used a secret passage. I win. And now I will do exactly what I want to do since I'm the winner."
"You also cheated."
"No I didn't. I never led you to believe that I wasn't going to use all my talents." Cassie said, taking his hand and running them up and down her arm. "And I won't tell you I'm not going to use them now." she added, guiding his hand over her collarbones and down her side.
"Oh? How exactly are you going to-"
"Don't worry. I'll let you know." Cassie interrupted, using her magic to make his trousers disappear.
"That's hardly fair." Owaine said, feeling the wind down there immediately.
"Well, I've heard that life isn't." Cassie replied, walking backwards to the foot of the tree and pulling him down with her. "Fair, I mean."
"Yeah, I got it." Owaine replied, his hands roaming her naked body freely now that she no longer had control over his hands.
"Ah ah ah. I want no snark from you, my Knight. You lost the game." Cassie said, pulling him down for a kiss and biting his lower lip. "You're all mine to do with as I please, tonight."
"I'm yours to do with as you will every night, my Queen." Owaine replied as he took her lips passionately and they lost themselves in the moment; Cassie's magic rising up and enveloping them to heighten their pleasure as they made love.
"That was certainly something else." Owaine breathed out as he held her close to him, breathing hard.
"And there's certainly more where it came from, my love. It seems my magic wants to be let loose tonight." Cassie replied as she wrapped her legs around him and moaned passionately.
"My love, I don't care what your magic does, all I care about is you." he whispered lovingly to her between sweet nothings.
"Hm, that was something completely new, my Knight." Cassie said breathlessly as she lay beside him and put her head on his chest.
"It was, my love." he replied "It really was quite extraordinary. But we might want to go back to our chambers now. It's bound to get light out at any moment."
"I don't want to move, I'm so comfortable. Besides, the sun won't be out for another four hours." Cassie said, snuggling closer to him and magically dressing them both.
"Well, you're magic seems to agree with me." Owaine said amused.
"No, it doesn't. I'm just cold." Cassie said to him, a smile playing at her lips.
"That smile says differently." he observed, kissing her gently.
"Well, I'm not moving from here. Estoy muy cómoda. Podría compararlo con los brazos de morfeo." Cassie said, hugging him tighter.
"Lambkin, I don't understand what you just said. But it doesn't mean you get the last word, because now what you get is another kiss and an obligation to move." Owaine said, sitting up and chuckling when she just let her head fall gently on the ground and let out a sigh. "Come on." he grunted, reaching down and pulling her onto her feet.
"No." Cassie said, shaking her head and sitting back down on the ground. "I want to stay here."
"I'll get a blanket, then." he said, leaning down and kissing her gently before running back through the grounds.
"Tal vez será la mejor noche de mi vida." Cassie said aloud, smiling wistfully to herself and leaning against the tree when an idea struck her and she slipped the dress off once more.
"Cass? Where are you?" Owaine called out into the night when he saw her dress pooled at the foot of the tree and her nowhere to be found. "Cassie?"
"Where do you think I am, my love?" Cassie asked, using her magic for her voice to carry just to his ears.
"One of these days, you're going to get tired of using your magic like this." Owaine said gruffly.
"Never, my Knight." Cassie replied, her eyes flashing as she sent a small ball of water at him.
"Are you serious? You could have just told me to get into the pond." Owaine asked with a quirked eyebrow as his tunic clung to his chest and the water dripped down.
"It's funner this way." Cassie said playfully, swimming towards him slowly, her head only just peeking up over the water.
"More fun, my love." he corrected, walking towards the pond slowly.
"Both. So? Are you going to leave me in here all alone? Letting the water run over my skin the way your hands should be?" she asked seductively.
"You will be the end of me." he said as he threw his shirt off and ran in after her. "You could have warned me how cold the water was!"
"I figured you felt it with the water ball I threw at you." Cassie said innocently, floating in the water as he swam to her.
"You know, you're a very good actress. No one can pull off that fake innocent look quite like you can." Owaine said as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Who said it was an act?"
"I did." he said, kissing her gently. "There is nothing innocent about you now."
"Oh yes there is!" Cassie argued back, letting her head fall back as he hungrily kissed her neck.
"Like what?" he challenged, his hand cupping her bottom and lifting her enough for him to slide in completely.
"I've no malice." she answered.
"The Druids." he bantered back.
"I only dislike them, and distrust them. There's no hate, just distaste, if that's the word I'm looking for." she said quietly, her arms wrapping tighter around him as his pace increased.
"I don't think it is, my love, but you've proven your point."
"See, I win. Always!" Cassie said triumphantly, kissing him passionately.
"Not with our little bet, you don't." he said wickedly, his eyes burning feverishly as the water splashed and flowed between them.
"And who said I'd ever make love to you there?" Cassie replied breathlessly as the sensations overflowed her.
"I did." Owaine replied, kissing her with a renewed passion as her soft moans filled the air.
"Just what do you two think you're doing?! I have told you time and time again NOT to go swimming in the pond! I'm ashamed of you, Owaine! And you, Cassie. You should know better." Morrigan said from the shore of the pond, shaking her head at them as Cassie let out a gasp of surprise and quickly hid behind Owaine, her cheeks flushed red from their actions and the complete and utter embarrassment of the situation.
"Sorry." Owaine muttered, hanging his head comically as Cassie dug her nails in his shoulders.
"Well? What are you still doing in there? Out! Now!" Morrigan demanded, trying not to laugh at their expressions. "Oh, please. I've seen it before. I changed your diapers and all!" she muttered, rolling her eyes and turning around.
"Sorry, Morrigan." Cassie said in a high pitched voice, clearing her throat before running away with Owaine following after her, both of them sufficiently embarrassed to continue their previous activities.
