Reckoning: (Based on the FATE OF THE RETURNED HERO Manga)

Today was a rare occasion for Chizuru. A chance for her to get up early and go for a jog. In the past couple of weeks, she was too worn out to even do that much. But today she decided she had to move her body some before she got ready for the day. To her shock when she arrived at her favorite jogging location at the Park, Kazuya was there, and he was talking to a very attractive older woman. She could tell that the woman was older and worse had an interest in Kazuya. Seeing that, Mimi's prior conversation came to mind.

"If you do not stake your claim on him soon. Then someone else is going to. It could be either Ruka, Sumi, some unknown Woman or...Even me." Mimi had told her hoping to encourage her to hurry and finish her investigation. Though thankfully all it looked like from her perspective with the other Woman was Kazuya being friendly.

"Just his usual. Though once he becomes my Boyfriend. I will have to be careful and make sure he knows he belongs to me and only me." Chizuru thought possessively and gave Kazuya an unpleasant glare. Seeing his expression from her glare almost made her chuckle. Instead, she continued to give him the same ominous glare that made him look like he was about to panic. Then she stood there while he gave a thorough and detailed explanation on what had occurred between him and that woman.

Following Chizuru home, Kazuya was afraid that he might have just blown his chances with her. He had apologized several times and spent a good ten minutes explaining that Sakura was only going to be at most a Running or Jogging buddy and a friend. That was all. Not about to tell her that Sakura had just prior asked him out. He may not have much experience with Girls. But he was not a complete idiot. Once back at the house, he quickly headed for his room and waited until Chizuru was done with her own Shower before he went to take his.

"See I told you something like that could happen." Mimi said within their shared room and Chizuru continued to get dressed for the day. "You have to realize...Master is a real catch. Someone that any girl would be happy to be with. So, you better step up your game and claim him already." Chizuru shook her head as she buttoned up her Blouse.

"I am not done with my investigation yet. I am waiting until our date." Chizuru told her roommate and Mimi scowled at her. She was not about to tell anyone that she had finished her investigation days ago and was intending to be with Kazuya as a couple. To be his Girlfriend while he would be her Boyfriend. "Well, I am off...Today they are doing a Private viewing of the Play for some high-ranking VIP from the Government. So, I got to get going." With that she left her and Mimi's room and noticed that Kazuya had not come out of the Bathroom yet. She wanted to say goodbye to him as well. But if she did not leave soon, she would be late. "I will just call him later." She muttered as she left.

"Thanks, Mimi, for setting this up for me. Some extra money will help out a lot on my date with Chizuru." Kazuya said as he followed Mimi to where she had set up a small well-paid job for him. She had promised him that she knew someone that would pay him twenty thousand Yen just for posing and getting his picture taken in some Crosplay Costume for about an hour. As they neared the Crosplay Shop, he began to have some second thoughts about doing this. But he did need to get some extra money to make sure that Chizuru had a really great time.

"Hey no problem. Now don't get too worried...Aina may act strange...But she is actually a really great person." Mimi reassured him before they entered the Store. Inside there was several dozen Crosplay Costumes hanging just about everywhere. "Hey Aina...I brought the guy I said would be perfect for your Advertisement." Mimi announced as they walked into the store. Suddenly a bubbly blonde girl seemed to bound out of nowhere and instantly began to look Kazuya over. Completely disregarding personal space and barely acknowledging Mimi.

"Oh yeah. He is perfect. He got some nice Muscle tone going for him." Aina said as she continued to look him over from almost every angle and Kazuya began to worry that this person might not be completely sane.

"Told you." Mimi said and moved a bit away so Aina could continue admiring and checking him over. "Though you might want to have him do something else than what we talked about." Aina finally looked over at Mimi and smiled.

"Your right. I think...Something more...Outrageous would be better." Aina instantly stood up and then almost dashed into the back of the Store. Kazuya looked over at Mimi with a bit of concern.

"It will be alright Master. Like I told you, she might act a little odd...But she is a really great person. I get most of my Outfits from her and she has a real gift when it comes to Crosplaying." Mimi said as she went over to check on some of the ones hanging on the walls. In route she turned on the TV and they both waited for Aina to return. When she did, Kazuya was not exactly thrilled with the prospect of wearing what she was holding. But he went to try it on and after both Mimi and Aina took several pictures of him.

"Are you sure? I mean...This is really embarrassing. Why would you...The RED RANGER from Power Rangers? It is so...AARGH...Embarrassing." Kazuya protested as he stood there in the Red Ranger Cosplay Costume feeling like he was about to die in embarrassment. Though he had to admit that it could be worse. He remembered back when a set of High-Speed Battle Gear he had found in one of the Dungeons was nothing but a Loin Cloth and Speedos that ran up his butt. He had tried it on and the Princess and Zai both liked seeing him in it. Later he put it in his Item Box and never wore it again.

"No way. It looks great on you. You really look just like him." Aina said as she continued to take pictures as Kazuya struck various poses and soon found that he was actually enjoying himself. That is until the TV suddenly broadcasted a devastating report that was occurring not too far away. All three of them stopped what they were doing and stared at the TV. Hearing about how armed terrorists had taken over a nearby Theater and were holding a High-Ranking Official along with the Cast and Crew all hostages. Threatening to not only kill the Official but everyone there if their demands were not met.

"Uhm...Hey Master...Isn't that where Chizuru is?" Mimi asked and Kazuya glared at the Television. Turning he used sleep spell on both Mimi and Aina. Quickly grabbed a different Costume and change. Outside he flipped the visor down on the somewhat weird helmet and stepped outside.

"AIR STEP." Kazuya said with a wave of his right hand and began to walk on invisible steps made of magical air towards the Theater. To those that noticed him it looked like he was walking partially upwards and in midair.

A Mysterious Hero Makes his Debut:

Chizuru could not believe that this was happening. That what she was experiencing was real. But it was. About twenty armed men had rushed in during the midst of the Play. Shot a couple of the bodyguards and soon had all the Cast and Crew along with the Surviving Bodyguards and of course the VIP in the center of the Stage while the Armed Terrorists threatened to kill them all if their demands were not met. All she could do was sit there attempting to calm down Shiori who was crying uncontrollably. She ignored the fact that over a few feet away by himself was Umi sitting in a pool of liquid that had a very unpleasant smell. One of the Terrorist had threatened to shoot Umi in the forehead when the idiot tried to bribe him to let him go. Not anyone else, but just him. "Sit in your own piss you cowardly piece of crap!" The Terrorist said with a sneer after seeing Umi piss his pants. Chizuru knew Kazuya would never be like that. He would try to protect her no matter what.

"I need to see Kazuya again. Tell him the truth. That I love him. That I want to be with him forever." Chizuru muttered with a pang of regret that she had not told him that back when he had first confessed his love for her. "No matter what happens...I will see Kazuya again and tell him how I feel." Then suddenly and without any warning. A weird and costumed man seemed to have appeared out of nowhere and started to decimate the Armed Terrorists.

Standing on one of the Air Walk platforms in midair, Kazuya looked down on the Theater. It was surrounded with Police Cars and bystanders. Then to his dismay someone, a child about twelve spotted him and with his hearing he could make out what the younger person asked his Mother. "Hey Mom...Isn't that...Super Saiyan from Dragon Ball Super?" Others looked and soon it seemed everyone was looking at him. Including the Police. Before they could say anything else humiliating. Kazuya used Search to discover who was who within the Theater and soon detected all twenty-two of the Terrorists and the three surprises that sat at three different locations. Bombs.

"Got to take care of them first." Kazuya muttered and disappeared with a blur. Once inside he used Invisibility and sneaked over to three of the Terrorists that were standing Guard and at the Windows in the Entranceway. With a simple blow behind the head, he knocked each one of them out. Then used and Electric pulse to diffuse the bomb's circuitry that was in the middle of the Large Room. After that and just in case he placed a barrier around the Bomb. When done he moved onto the next one and did the same thing. In less than five minutes he had diffused, placed a barrier on the other bombs and took out seven more Terrorists. All that was left was the armed terrorists in the Theater. "Time to be a little...Extravagant." He said with a huge smile. It had been a while since he went all out. Not since taking on the Demon Lord, where he used every bit of his power, skill and magic.

"Who the Hell is that?" One of the Terrorists asked in shock as his Rifle exploded into fragments within his hands. He glanced over and noticed that every one of his colleagues had the same thing happen. The Helmeted costumed person had somehow appeared out of nowhere and hovered there a good twenty feet in the air. He watched as some type of energy flowed from the unknown man and all their weapons burst apart before any of them could even react. What shocked him and the others even more was the Man was now going through them like an avenging Angel. Knocking one after another away as if they were nothing.

"Set off the Bombs! We are not going out like this! Let us go out in a blaze of glory!" The Leader of them yelled as he too was knocked away with a light punch from the intruder. One of the ones that had the triggers, laughed and pushed down the activator. When nothing happened, the Man tried several more times until the remote itself basically exploded within his hand.

"Give up you Scum...Or I...The Great Saiyan Man will have no mercy!" The now once more Floating Man announced and those that were left all raised their hands in defeat. Kazuya looked over to see Chizuru staring at him. All the hostages were staring at him. But Chizuru was really staring at him as if she recognized him. Thankfully at that moment the Police Swat team burst into the room and Kazuya was able to use Invisibility Magic to disappear.

"He...His voice...He sounded like Kazuya." Chizuru said softly as she stared at the Person hovering above the theater seating. If her legs would have obeyed her, she would have tried to go and confirm it by going over and asking if it was him. But the stress and the fact that she had been sitting on her legs for so long. Kept her from doing so. She watched as the Man seemed to disappear and she was left knowing somehow that it was him. Also wondering how he was able to do any of what he did.

Returning to the Cosplay Store, Kazuya used a Befuddling Spell on Mimi and Aina. They would believe that they somehow dozed off for about an hour. Quickly changing back into the RED RANGER Costume, he gently tapped both girls on their shoulders just in time for them to see that the incident at the Theater had been resolved by someone that seemed to resemble Saiyan Man. Which caused Aina and Mimi to go through an episode of glee.

Divulging the Truth:

Waiting at the House, Kazuya sat anxiously and as soon as Chizuru entered. "Are you okay?" He asked almost immediately, and Chizuru lightly nodded. He let out a sigh of relief and she calmly walked over to him. Sitting down in front of him, she put her arms around him, and buried her face into his chest. Shocking him to the core. "AHHH...Uhm...Chizuru...What...Are you doing?" He stuttered out unable to cope with what was happening.

"Let me be like this for a few minutes." Chizuru said softly, holding tightly to him as she let the stress of the day flow out of her. She had been terrified and scared that she might never see Kazuya again. That something dreadful would have happened. Tears began to flow down her cheeks as she held onto him even tighter. "Can...Can you hold me too." She asked and he reluctantly put his arms around her as she let out a sigh of relief. After several minutes she felt calmer.

"Are you sure you are alright?" Kazuya asked with concern and Chizuru nodded into his chest.

"I promised myself this...If I...I thought I would never see you again and...Kazuya...I love you. I love you so much and...And I want to be your Girlfriend." Chizuru said holding him even harder. Not wanting to ever let him go. To be with him forever. This equally shocked him. But he was so happy that he felt lightheaded. "You know this is the time you...Say something already." She demanded and loosened her grip enough to look up at him. He was smiling broadly.

"You know I feel the same Chizuru. I love you...So much and I also want to be your Boyfriend." Kazuya said feeling a little sappy and he believed that is exactly what it sounded like. But it seemed to placate her. She pulled at him and he got the hint. Leaning down somewhat, he kissed her. For several moments all they did was kiss and afterwards, she went back to holding him tightly against her.

"Tell me something Kazuya. I want the truth. That was you...That was you in that Costume...Wasn't it?" Chizuru asked into his chest and Kazuya subconsciously held him breath.

"Yes." Kazuya hissed out and Chizuru pulled back some and looked directly at him.

"How did you do all that? I mean you...You did things that...That was impossible. So how did you do that?" Chizuru continued to look at Kazuya as he let out a long sighing breath. She sat back and gave him her total attention.

"Now this is going to sound completely insane and impossible. But I will tell you everything." Kazuya then told her all about what had happened to him. From being transported to another World. Defeating the Demon Lord and afterwards being returned the exact second he had been taken. Then added about how the daffy, idiotic Goddess forgot to take his level, abilities, skills and magic away. He told her everything. Including that he had been gone for just over five years. When he finished, she stared at him as if he was insane or crazy. He smiled. "Fireball." He intoned and a ball of fire appeared a few inches above his right palm. She gasped and stared at it wide eyed.

"How? How is that even possible?" Chizuru asked and Kazuya cancelled the spell and the fireball disappeared.

"Like I said that moronic Goddess forgot to take all of that away from me. So, I can do magic and a lot of other things. Which in itself should be impossible. There is no magic generated here...But somehow, I am able to use it. I was waiting until after our date to go to the Other World and once there see about having her correct her mistake." Kazuya said and Chizuru looked at him oddly. "Oh, I have a means of going to and from there whenever I want. It was a gift she gave me after I defeated the Demon Lord. Item Box." Then reaching with his right hand which seemed to disappear into nowhere. He brought out a Bluish colored Cube. She gasped again as he held out the Cube so she could see it. "All I have to do is concentrate and this will open a gateway for me."

"Would I be able to go with you?" Chizuru asked as she looked at the glowing cube and then at Kazuya. He scratched his chin and then put the Cube back in his Item Box.

"Yeah. I guess so." Kazuya actually was not sure. He had not opened the gateway yet and was unsure how it worked yet. Another thing the idiot Goddess did not tell him.

"Another thing is why would you want to give up being able to do what you can do? I mean today you saved not only me...But everyone. If it was not for you...Then those terrorists would probably have killed us all and..." Chizuru trailed off as she hugged Kazuya once more. "And I would have not...I would have had so many regrets on not telling you how much I do love you." She wanted to say those words to him a lot. That she was in love with him and to know he felt the same.

"It is not natural here for me to have that kind of power. Chizuru, you have to understand...Level 99 is considered a maxed-out level and is like Demigod level power back in that other World. So, it would be the same here." Kazuya told her as he shook his head. "Right now, with the power I have I could basically take over the World without any real problem. Nothing could stop me. No one could stop me. Not even a Nuclear Bomb or the entire worlds armies. I could summon things that are so powerful that they could destroy a city without any real resistance." He was not about to mention what they were. But they included Zai the Djinn Princess, A variety of Dragons, Fenrir's and other Monsters that were considered holy legendary creatures back in the other World. Too many to list off even in his thoughts.

"I know you would not do that. Maybe this Goddess also knows you would not do that. Maybe she was thinking that this World needs a Hero just like the other World did?" Chizuru suggested having a hard time believing that this Goddess could be as stupid as Kazuya was making her out to be.

"So, you think I should just let sleeping dogs lie and not try to get that Goddess to take back any of it?" Kazuya asked and Chizuru sighed as well.

"It is up to you. I will love and support whatever choice you make. That is what a Girlfriend is supposed to do. Love her Boyfriend no matter what his choices are." Chizuru smiled coyly. "But remember this...I am not going to share you with anyone. Not that Princess and not anyone here. You are now all mine." Kazuya smiled.

"Of course." Kazuya said and after a few more minutes, Chizuru let him go and stood up. Reaching down with her right hand.

"Okay...Enough of that. I am starving and I want my Boyfriend to take me to Dinner." Chizuru stated and taking his hand, she helped him up. Leaving the house, they walked together making their way to the local Diner. They held hands with their finger intertwined and she never felt so happy before.

Other World:

It had been a few hours since their arrival and Chizuru got to meet King Toland, Queen Mylene, The First Prince Roland and the Princess Lexia. Learning that this Kingdom was called Livaria. Which was one of twelve other Kingdoms that all seemed to pay homage to Kazuya being their Hero. The Hero that defeated the Demon Lord. She was somewhat shocked later when she was having tear with Queen Mylene and Lexia. That Lexia was wondering if she could also be with Kazuya. Perhaps as his second wife when Chizuru and Kazuya got married. Even with the somewhat strange request Chizuru found that she liked them. Enjoying hearing about the Kingdom and its citizens along with their culture. She was worried though. While she was having Tea with the Queen and Princess. Kazuya was in the Temple and had planned on talking to the Goddess. He wanted to know if the Goddess had actually let him keep everything on purpose or if she was indeed a complete idiot. Like he thought.

"Welcome back Kazuya Kinoshita." The Goddess said from her perch on a cloud. As she looked partially down on him. What bothered him was she was smiling or rather smirking at him.

"I take it you already know why I came here." Kazuya said and the Goddess chuckled.

"Of course. You know your girlfriend back in your world is quite astute. A lot more than you." The Goddess chuckled again, and Kazuya scowled at her.

"You did not make a mistake and carelessly forgot...Did you?" Kazuya asked and this time the Goddess laughed and shook her head.

"What do you take me for? I am a Goddess. An all-powerful Goddess that knows and sees all. That is why I believe that your Girlfriend...Your Chizuru is a lot more on the ball than you are." The Goddess leaned placing her elbows on her knees to really look at Kazuya. "Your World has no Magic...None at all. So, where do you think you are drawing it from. Oh, and it is not from me." She smiled as he stared at her wide eyed. There could only be one way. "Ah, you guessed it. The Gods of your World asked me to conveniently forget to take away all you gained here on this World." She clapped her hands together.

"Why would they do that?" Kazuya asked and the Goddess shook her head.

"Like I said...Your Girlfriend is more astute. She guessed it right from the start. They want a Hero on that World. Someone to basically change the World for the better." The Goddess told him, and Kazuya let out a sighing breath.

"I thought I was done with all of that when I left here." Kazuya said and the Goddess laughed.

"Not quite. Well, I answered everything I plan on answering. So...It is time for you to go back. Oh, by the way...Those Gods do not want you to be so Flamboyant as you were last time in that ridiculous outfit. They want you to be less showy. You are to conduct yourself with a lot of decorum. Operate in the shadows and sort of guide those of your World to be better. Okay." The Goddess informed him and then before Kazuya could ask how he was supposed to do any of that. He found himself back in the Temple.

After another day visiting and promising to come back again as soon as they could. Kazuya and Chizuru returned to their World. Appearing through the Closet Door in the Upstairs Bedroom. Once there they made their way down to the Main Room and sat down. At that point he told Chizuru about his discussion with the Goddess. "I told you so." Chizuru said with a huge coy smile and Kazuya had to laugh. He knew from almost the day he had met Chizuru. That she was in fact smarter than he was. But when they came back, for some reason he had an inkling on what the Gods of Earth wanted. He suspected they did some type of divine type of influence on him. Still, even with that he had no idea how he was going to change the World. Sure, back in the other World it would have been easy. He was the proclaimed Hero after all. Here though was different. The Gods did not want him to stand out.

"I have no idea how I am going to do this all by myself." Kazuya finally said and Chizuru clasped his right hand in hers and gave it a gentle squeeze.

"But you are not by yourself. I am here. Though I have no idea how you are going to do that either. Especially if you have to keep it a secret and influence the World from the Shadows as it were." Chizuru noticed his expression and could tell he was thinking about something.

"There is actually someone I could count on to help me." Kazuya let out a sighing breath and bit his bottom lip. "Though subtly is not really her style. She stands out and another problem is she can't lie."

"Oh, is she bad at it or something?" Chizuru asked and Kazuya shook his head.

"No. Her pride does not allow her too. But she could be a huge help. She could help influence people and they would have no memory of her even doing that." Kazuya had seen Zai do it a lot. Here and in the Other World. She actually had done it to Chizuru and still Chizuru did not remember Zai.

"So, who is she and can she actually come here?" Chizuru asked and Kazuya nodded.

"In truth...You already met her once. She sort of made you forget her. That is one of her abilities. She can make anyone forget her and she can also make someone do whatever she wants. Her name is Zai and she is a Djinn." Kazuya told her and Chizuru tried to remember if she had met someone with that name or not. Concentrating harder, she found she just could not remember. It felt like Deja vu. It felt like she remembered but it is like she didn't. "Don't try to remember her. You won't until she lets you." She stopped trying. Because all it was doing was giving her a headache.

"Okay. Do you have to go back to get her?" Chizuru asked and Kazuya shook his head.

"Nope. All I got to do is summon her and she will come." Kazuya took a deep breath and again bit his bottom lip. "One thing. I should warn you...She...Well she sort of has it in her head..." He trailed off unsure how to explain about Zai.

"Don't tell me she is interested in you...Romantically." Chizuru said and Kazuya flinched slightly.

"Uhm...Well...Not romantically...But more like sexually. She isn't in love with me or anything like that. Djinn actually do not understand those types of feelings. They don't feel those types of emotions. It is more like...an impulse she has." Kazuya told her and Chizuru began to wonder if it would be a wise idea to have someone like that here. She had no intention of sharing Kazuya with anyone. Even if it was just sex.

"Too bad for her. The only one you are allowed to have sex with is me. That is...When we...We...Have it." Chizuru blushed a bright shade of red and she noticed Kazuya was also blushing.

"This would be a good time to summon her." Kazuya quickly said to change the subject. "Summon, Zia the Djinn Onyx and Jade Princess." He intoned with his right hand out. Once again, a summoning Circle appeared and suddenly there was a girl kneeling in the center of it. She smiled up at Kazuya.

"What is thy bidding my Master?" Zia asked and Chizuru pouted and frowned. Not liking Zai calling Kazuya her master. Or the fact that the girl was exotically beautiful. Zai smiled over at Chizuru. "Hello there Chizuru. You can remember me now." With that Chizuru remembered her. Everything including their discussion. Which did not make her exactly happy. Noticing her scowl, Kazuya was concerned that perhaps he should not have summoned Zai. But it was too late for regrets or to change his mind.

"I found out why the Goddess let me keep...Well everything and it has to do with the Gods here. They kind of want me to...Be a Hero here and change the World for the better." Kazuya told Zai who started laughing.

"Ah, you Human and the Gods you are stuck with...Can be so...It is so hysterical." Zai said as she laughed finding the situation funny. But in another way, she found it extremely annoying. Believing Kazuya did not deserve to be saddled with such responsibilities. He had earned a reprieve from such things after defeating the Demon Lord. Something that no Djinn could accomplish even if several tried together. "Is that the reason you summoned me? You want my aid in your endeavor?" Kazuya nodded with a smile. She clapped her hands together. "It sounds fun. I will aid you. But first I believe I better have another talk to Chizuru again. I am sensing a lot of...She is not exactly happy with me right now."

"You got that right. Shall we...While Kazuya goes for a walk." Chizuru stated and Kazuya quickly agreed and left. Leaving the two to have their discussion.
