The Craziest Of Them All
As we head into this next chapter, you will notice that things will start to get a bit tense for our favourite friends! So instead of long authors notes, let's just dive right beck into the action shall we?
P.S Apologise for the late update, I've been on vacation the past week so I've been out quite a lot haha! Anyway, hope you all enjoy.
Upon regaining consciousness, Nathaniel slowly and groggily opened his fiery red eyes, and found himself in possibly the most unsettling situation that he has ever been in.
"Ughhh, ohhhh, what the…Where am I?" The blue man winced in slight dizziness, after he felt the room spinning around him. "Am I in…What…What the hell?!"
He discovered that he was securely fastened to some kind of old and rusty hospital bed, within the confines of a dimly lit cave.
"What is this place?! Where the fuck am I?!" As he glanced over his shoulder, he realised that he was in a cave with several other old looking hospital beds. With IV stands next to each one. It was as if the scene around him was from a horror movie, like during a zombie apocalypse.
The eerie atmosphere around the almost dark and dimly lit cave only added to the sense of confusion and fear that enveloped him as he tried to make sense of his surroundings.
"What the…WHO FUCKING DID THIS TO ME?!" Nathaniel cursed out loud in frustration, as he tried to shake himself free of the shackles that were strapped around his wrists and ankles. "HELLO?! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?! WHY?!"
"Cough! Cough! N-Nath?"
In his state of rage and disorientation, the blue spix's macaw man's attention was drawn away from the other hospital beds.
And his attention was now drawn to the distressed sounds of another individual. Despite the voice being fairly quiet and fearful. Like they were in absolute terror.
To his dismay, as soon as he leaned his head upwards towards the sound that came from opposite him.
It appeared to be his crush Skyler who was speaking to him.
Who appeared to be in a state of complete terror, and was also blunt to a table that was just in front of him.
"Skyler?! Sky, are you okay?!" Nathaniel once more tried to free himself from the shackles vigorously, but to no avail whatsoever.
"Y-Yeah, I'm okay." She muttered fearfully, realising that all of her clothes apart from her bra and panties had been ripped off. "Where, are we?" She too checked her surroundings by scanning the room for a potential idea. But nothing came to mind. But then she looked down and noticed that she was almost completely naked on the table she was strapped to. "What the…Why am I in my underwear?! Oh god…Is this like some kind of rape torture room?"
"I'm not sure? But whoever brought us here, they definitely have bad intentions." Nathaniel was doing his best to be relaxed and calm about the situation. So it would at the very least help Skyler to put her mind at ease. But secretly deep down, he too was a bit nervous about being in this horrific place. "We just got to think of a way out of this hell hole."
"Oh fuck! Fuck! This was not what I signed up for when I took this job!" Skyler had sweat pouring down her as she began shaking her arms and legs, in an attempt to free herself. "DAMNIT! I hate the fact that I'm in this stupid place!"
"You and me both!" Nathaniel sighed heavily, after attempting to free himself a third time. But couldn't make any further progress. "There has got to be a logical explanation for why we were brought here?"
The sight of Skyler's fear-stricken fear only served to heighten Nathaniel's own feelings of apprehension and helplessness in the unfamiliar and foreboding environment.
"Hey. Hey! Pay attention to me Sky okay? We are going to get out of this." His calm and soothing words served as a huge comforting tool for the blue female. Who took some deep breaths and calmed herself. Being able to ask him a simple question without even stuttering or screaming. Even though she was still horrified by the revealing matter in which she was strapped down.
"Nath! What do we do?!" Skyler cried out terrified, as she was doing everything possible to shake free of the binds.
"Just, try and save your energy okay? We will think of something okay?" He did his best to try and calm the situation down. Which luckily worked very well as she managed to take a deep breath and relax herself.
"Okay, I can do that." She nodded her head and smiled, without looking away from his glance. "I'm scared Nath!"
"Hey, look at me!" The red eyed male locked eyes with the turquoise eyed female, as she took deep and gentle breaths whilst remaining calm in his presence. Despite being tightly restrained to the table. "Everything is gonna be okay. We are going to get out of this." He reassured her, as she sighed in relief.
As Nathaniel and Skyler exchanged bewildered glances about the new predicament that they have somehow got themselves in to. You could tell by the looks on their face that the two of them were in fact terrified. But Nathaniel is doing his best to remain calm and confident. So that would make his crush feel more at ease.
A sense of shock at first washed over the two of them, but that now had been replaced with confusion.
The mystery of how they ended up in such a bizarre and unsettling loomed large around in their minds.
With no recollection whatsoever of how they had been dragged, strapped down onto a hospital bed and table, in a dimly lit cave. Or more importantly, who was responsible cor them being brought here.
As both blue spix's macaws laid there gazing into each other's eyes. They were left to grapple with the unsettling reality of their circumstances.
Now Let's Head To Blu And RDJ…
Moments after they had left through the front entrance, both Blu and RDJ embarked on a search throughout the extensive gardens in hopes of finding any kissing trace of their newest friends Nathaniel and Skyler.
"Shit! My flashlight is almost dead. Do you have any spare batteries on you?" Blu turned to the blue and gold man. Who shook his head slightly as a no.
"I didn't think to bring any. Why don't you use the flashlight on your cell phone?" RDJ suggested with a grin.
"Oh, right!" Tapping his forehead slightly, he pulled out his cell phone and pressed on the flashlight. Shining it around their current surroundings. "Any idea where they might be?"
"I mean, we gotta think about any trace of them being potentially dragged somewhere. So look for either tracks or messed up marks on the ground. It may point us in the right direction."
"I have gotta say RDJ. You are really taking the security guard job very seriously. I love that!" Blu was really impressed with how well his friend was handling the new job title he was given only a few days ago.
"You gave me a big responsibility. And I intend to make sure that I live up to my expectations and my responsibilities." He beamed in determination, scanning the ground very thoroughly.
"Man, such a shame about the two guys out front. It's going to be a tough conversation with their families when I tell them what happened to them." Blu sadly responded, as RDJ nodded his head in agreement.
The urgency of the situation was heightened by the discovery of the two murdered security guards at the front gates, indicating a breach in the asylum's security.
The two of them were both very determined to uncover the truth behind the sudden mysterious disappearances, and the escalating violence within the asylum.
"Let's talk about, who may or may not be the possible candidate who is the accomplice of Rodrigo?" Blu randomly brought up, after RDJ was brushing his hand along a few trees.
"Sure. Well, I think that maybe it's a patient? Because of the plimsole foot prints I found." He pointed out the first piece of evidence that he found. Which had to be of been a vital piece of evidence in their investigation. "Let's see. Ummm, Polly?"
"Oh no chance! That one is a bit too loopy!"
"Ummm, how about that girl we brought in two weeks ago? The one that keeps masturbating with a rock wrapped in poison ivy?" RDJ suggested, which made both of them feel a little cringe inside.
"First of all, why the fuck would she be into such extreme pleasure? And secondly, no. She may seem insane like that. But she's actually been very gentle." Blu rolled his eyes after they were behind all of the trees and bushes searching.
The grim reality of the current situation weighted heavily upon Blu and RDJ, whilst the two of them were contemplating the possible culprits behind the chaos that had occurred in recent days.
While the two of them entertained the notion that the male parakeet Rodrigo is heavily involved in the recent attacks. They were also troubled by the prospect of a dangerous accomplice working from within the asylum directly under their noses.
The sinister nature of their crimes, coupled with the possibility of a female patient or maybe even an imposter imposing as one, added a layer of complexity to their investigation.
"Hey man, what if it isn't a female patient at the hospital?" RDJ suggested, making a very valid point.
"What do you mean?" Despite Blu being a very intelligent man. He had no idea where his friend was going with this.
"What if it was an impostor? Or a new staff member?"
"What?! You mean like…either Sofia or Skyler?"
"I'm not saying it's definitely the case Blu. But, that is a certain possibility that we cannot really ignore. Especially since now we are looking for Nathaniel and Skyler." RDJ pointed out, right after they stumbled along the trail leading to the old tunnel.
"No! It definitely can't be Sofia, cos she was the one who was shot at by the crossbow." Blu replied adamantly.
"Very true. But what of Skyler? Where was she at the time?"
"At the security desk."
"Good! By the way, I wasn't accusing either of them. I'm just trying to make us understand all of the possible angles." The blue and gold macaw man explained as he shined his flashlight around them.
As they combed through the gardens on the way to the creepy tunnel, that in fact they have once saved Lexi from three years ago. Blu and RDJ were acutely aware of the dangers that lurked within the asylum's walls.
Especially in the depths of the tunnel that still had shivers running down Blu's spine from the horrors that occurred within the darkness of the tunnel.
The sense of unease was palpable as they considered the motives and identities of those responsible for these heinous acts.
Witch each and every single step, they were both incredibly determined to unravel the web of deceit and treachery that had enveloped their missing friends and the asylum itself.
The weight of the responsibility they bore in uncovering the truth of a heavy burden, but they remained resolute in their pursuit of justice and answers.
"Okay, let's go in and check it out." RDJ took a step into the tunnel, but Blu stepped in and took hold of his arm.
"I'm sorry but, I ummm…I kinda have a phobia of the dark, tight spaces, spiders, bats…" Blu was terrified of going in there. But that didn't stop the blue and gold macaw man try to encourage him to do something that he wouldn't normally try.
"Listen buddy, you are definitely not going to be alone in this situation. I'm gonna be here with you every step of the way." He nodded his head and placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's okay dude. We got this!"
"Haaa, okay. Okay let's go!" The blue spix's macaw male took a deep breath and took the lead. With RDJ following closely behind to watch his beck.
Now Let's Check On Pedro And Sofia…
After Jewel had assigned with the joint responsibility of investigating the activities taking place on the second floor after the asylum. When they were alerted of someone trying to steal information from the patient archives.
The very specific task involved delving into the breach of security that led to unauthorised access to the highly confidential patient archives.
Both individuals Sofia and Pedro, were ended with the crucial mission of uncovering the truth behind the mysterious security breach that had compromised the integrity of the asylum's operations.
"Ughhh, why the fuck are we even doing this?! This is not part of my job description damnit!" Sassy as always, Sofia clocked her fingertips and turned around the corner with Pedro following closely behind. "Will you keep up or what?"
"Hey girl. I ain't the fittest guy in the world, but I'm not a slow, poke. Ahhh, I need a muffin." He whined in a tiresome manner.
"Hmmm, well if you are lucky, then I can let you eat a muffin…Off my butt." Sofia playfully winked at him. Even giving him a bump on his thigh as he walked straight past her.
"I will sure be looking forward to that hot tail!" Pedro winked at her and pinched her on the butt. Just above her butt crack, making her blush a bright pink.
At first, Sofia found herself to be incredibly perturbed by the unexpected nature of the assignment given to her.
As it deviated from her usual job responsibilities.
But, having Pedro by her side made it a lot easier. As she enjoyed being around him since they first met.
That is why, despite her initial surprise, she didn't even voice any objections to undertaking the investigative task.
"I gotta say Sof, it's good to see you this motivated to getting a job done." Pedro admired her confidence and dedication to the job. It was actually one of the reasons why he was seriously crushing on her.
"Well, at first I was of course against this but. You know, a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do!" She winked at him and pouted, which caused Pedro to bite his beak like he was turned on.
The challenge of uncovering the breach and ensuring the security of not only the patient archives. But also the safety and security of all of the staff as well, motivated Sofia even more to approach the task with much diligence and determination, despite her initial reservations to begin with.
On the other hand, Pedro's reaction to the assignment was characterised by frustration and exasperation. The relentless chaos and turmoil within the asylum had deprived him of any respite, as he had not taken a day off since the whole of this situation had escalated to such a chaotic level.
Pedro's mounting frustration stemmed from the overwhelming demands of his role in managing the crisis. Which of course left him to feel drained and overwhelmed with the extra workload.
"Ughhh, I don't understand why they don't have a hole building outside of here full of trained security guards? That way, they can do their job. Then we can do ours." Pedro whined as he felt sweat dripping down his back.
"Will you please stop complaining?! The sooner we get this done, the better! Now, let's just go to the room where…"
Just before Sofia even managed to finish her sentence, someone in a hoodie walked right out of the room they were heading to. Pretty soon both cardinals ended up in a stand off with the hooded stranger.
"You! Who are you?!" Sofia narrowed her eyes and pulled out her taser.
"Ummmm." The women in the hood paused in her tracks, as she wasn't entirely sure on what to do now.
"Wait a sec, your voice sounds familiar? Are you…" Before Pedro was even able to finish his own sentence, the woman ran off down the hallway behind her.
"STOP THAT BITCH!" Sofia called out and instantly began chasing after the culprit.
"Nah man…I got a better idea!" Pedro thought out loud as he allowed the girl he had a humongous crush on chase after the suspect. As for him, he took out his pager and dialled a few certain numbers to contact the front desk.
Let's Check In On Jewel…
Whilst her husband and friend were out looking for Nathaniel and Skyler. As well as sending Pedro and Sofia to go and find the person who was trying to steal information out of the patient database.
Jewel remained at the front security desk on the phone to the police.
But the person she was talking to, was a really creepy dude. Especially since she was taking the phone call seriously. However, the cop on the other line was treating it like talking on a sex chat line.
Jewel: For the last time, I am not going to tell you what I am wearing! All I want you guys to do is send some people over to scope the area
Cop: Come on Angel voice! Just tell me to do something in your voice. Tell me what colour you lingerie is? Are you at the very least not wearing a bra?
Jewel: Okay, where is your supervisor?! I will lodge and official complaint against you if you carry on!
Cop: Well if you feel…
Malcom: Jerry! The chief wants to see you again. He is monitoring your phone calls every day you know?
Cop: Ahhh shit! Well, looks like I'm gonna have to clean my office out…
Jewel sighed heavily in frustration and shook her head, whilst the scarlet macaw man on the other line put on the head set to talk to the blue female.
Malcom: I'm so sorry there Jewel! Jerry still hasn't got over his wife divorcing him as of yet. Hope he didn't push too many of your buttons?
Jewel: He's lucky that I don't ram a baseball bat up his butt! I'm just looking for police officers to come over and help us deal with this
Malcom: Hold up, Blu didn't tell you?
Jewel: Tell me what?
At this point Jewel appeared to look really frustrated when hearing this. Especially since she expected her husband to share absolutely everything with her. Including the business calls made to and from the asylum.
Malcom: The request for a police officer team to be sent to the asylum to collect the prisoners tomorrow has been cancelled? To ask for a police officer team right now would take a few more hours to approve? Blu didn't tell you any of this?
Jewel: No…He didn't…
The turquoise eyed girl hung up the phone and crossed her arms in anger. Right now she had the urge to grab her husband by the his private parts and threaten to cut them off unless he told her why he would cancel plans for the whole reason why they brought these criminals into their asylum in the first place.
BZZZZT! BZZZZZT!
"Oooh, now what?!" Jewel huffed and pulled her pager out of her jacket pocket. Only to then see that Pedro had paged her an emergency triple code. "What the…"
Pretty soon, she instantly realised what the pager meant. As the sound of the elevator doors opening could be heard. And pretty soon that hooded figure was making a quick dash for the front doors.
"Oh no you don't!" The blue female thought to herself. Picked up a bag of frozen peas from the freezer behind her. Then tossed it directly at the approaching hooded female. Hitting her directly in the face and knocking her on to her back dizzily.
"Wow. Do not mess with that chick!" Sofia was impressed by the throw. But wasted no time in getting to the now dizzy female who was laying flat on her back. "Alright bitch! It's time we have a little talk!"
The cardinal female grabbed her by the arm along with Jewel grabbing the other arm.
"Hey! Let go of me!" The unknown female whined in frustration, struggling to shake out of the fierce girl's grasp.
"Not until you tell us what the hell is going on!" Jewel shoved her down onto the chair, and Pedro grabbed a pair of handcuffs from the drawer and cuffed the girl to the pipe on the wall behind the desk.
"There. Now you ain't gonna run off and steal nothin' from us!" Pedro nodded and crossed his arms. Whilst Jewel was pacing up and down in front of her sat in the chair.
"Look. You guys don't understand!" The hooded girl attempted to defend herself, but Sofia cut her off rudely.
"Hold up. Hold up. First, you are gonna tell us why you tried to shoot me in the fucking head!" Sofia grabbed hold of her wrist. "If you decide not to say, I am gonna bite your fucking arm!"
"Wait!"
All of a sudden, Lila came out of completely nowhere. Then she put her hands up as she entered into the conversation.
"Back off Lila. We got this!" Pedro frustratingly spoke. But boy, that was the wrong thing to do.
The purple eyed female narrowed her eyes and poured a fresh hot cup of coffee on his balls. Making him scream like a little girl.
"AAAAAHHHHEEEEEEEEEEE!" The screech was so high pitched, that it made Sofia really give him a weird look.
"As I was saying. Do you guys even know who this person is?" Lila didn't even acknowledge the fact that the male cardinal was now clenching his privates whilst he was rubbing the pack of frozen peas thrown by Jewel on his balls to cool them off.
"No? Should we?" Sofia replied, not recognising who the person was.
"Maybe you wouldn't know who she is. But as for myself, Jewel and that douchebag." She referred the last word to Pedro. "You should know who this person is"
The blue spix's girl with purple eyes walked right up to the female handcuffed to the chair. Grabbed the back of her hood eagerly, then pulled it down to reveal who the female was.
"Huaaaaaa!" Jewel gasped in disbelief and placed her hands over her beak. "L-LEXI?!"
"Hi guys…" It was in fact Lexi who was handcuffed to the chair. As she sheepishly looked on the floor to hide her shame and sadness.
"No freaking way?! What the hell are you doing girl?!" Pedro was still in agony from the hot beverage stinging his private area.
"It is, kind of a long story?" She embarrassingly responded whilst Lila was unlocking the handcuffs from the chair.
"Lila?! This bitch tried to kill me! Why are you unlocking the cuffs on her?!" Sofia was very upset by this scene.
"That wasn't me who fired the crossbow bolt at you. It was, Rodrigo…" Lexi lowered her head again and sighed heavily.
Jewel, Sofia and Pedro stood there silent in disbelief by her explanation. So much so that Jewel put a hand on her shoulder, in an attempt to get more information from her l.
"Lex, why are you working for a dangerous criminal such as Rodrigo?"
"I don't have a choice Jewel…He…H-He…" For sone reason, the scarlet macaw girl wasn't able to finish her sentence.
"Lexi, what did he do?" Lila sat down on the chair besides her
"My son Lila…He took my son…" Lexi burst into tears after finishing her sentence. Causing the purple eyed girl sitting besides her to instantly comfort her friend.
"But how? Weren't you supposed to catch your flight away from here?" Jewel asked next, making her a cup of tea from the machine.
"He stopped me at the airport and hit me over the head with a bat. As I came to, he told me that my son will be kept safe until I do his bidding! And if I refused, he would kill my boy!" Lexi cried more and buried her face in Lila's shoulder.
"Fuck. FUCK! What does he want?" Jewel bashed the security desk with her first, shaking her head from side to side as she buried her face in her hand.
"He wants what he wanted all along! He wants a child that's half scarlet macaw, half blue macaw. Because he intends to sell it to a rich family in the Middle East."
"That's why he's been messing with Lila! He wants to trap her!" Pedro suggested as Lila too was agreeing with the statement. However, Lexi quickly shot down his idea.
"No. Actually, he already has a willing participant blue macaw female supposedly. He's just waiting for a scarlet man to impregnate her."
"Then why kill me? Why kill Sofia?" Lila asked whilst cocking his head to the side in confusion.
"What do you mean?"
All three of them looked at each other in confusion, then they turned back around to face her.
"Ummm, I was locked in a freezer? A metal beam nearly fell on me? Sofia got shot at by a crossbow?"
"Oh. The crossbow thing was Rodrigo trying to scare you. As for the freezer and metal beam, I don't know what you are talking about." Lexi honestly responded with a serious look.
"But, I also got pushed and locked into a room?! That wasn't you?" Jewel stepped forwards and widened her eyes.
"What? No! I only came here to steal the patient archives on several patients. But before I could get any of them, the system's fire wall prevented me from accessing any of them."
"So, you didn't do any of the other stuff?"
"Of course not! Rodrigo told me that the security guards were 'Dealt with' and I had to slip into the back entrance to break into the patient archives. He also gave me a hoodie to wear when I entered the building to hide from the…"
"WAIT! HE…HE'S HERE?! In this building?!" Pedro jumped to his feet in horror.
"No. He didn't say where he was going. All he said was to make a break for it and don't get caught. And if I do get caught…he will keep my son with him until he gets what he wants." Lexi sighed once more and took her cup of tea with both hands.
"Right. Well…ummm, will you excuse us for a minute?" Lila nodded and grabbed Jewel by the arm. Pulling her away from the scarlet girl, whilst both cardinals kept an eye on the vulnerable female. "Shit! What do we do now Jewel?! It's not like we have any other choice but to call the police now."
"For some reason, the police got cancelled from a supposed phone call from Blu earlier today. But, after hearing whet Lexi had to say. Now I'm starting to think that it wasn't him after all." The turquoise eyed girl rolled her eyes.
"Fuck! FUCK! Jewel, we need the police here! There has got to be someone who can help us?!" Lila cursed and scratched the back of her head.
For a brief few moments, Jewel tried to think of a solution to their problems.
On the one hand, she could just go against RDJ's advice and tell Lila, Nico and Lillian to stretch themselves out to find Rodrigo themselves. Pretty much taking the law into their own hands.
One the second hand, she could do the job herself and put her own safety at risk.
Thirdly, there was always the matter of giving up and doing nothing.
But if being in this dangerous potential position has taught her anything in life. It's that you must always try anything possible to achieve what you want to accomplish in life! No matter how hard life gets, giving up for Jewel is not an option.
"Okay. Lila, carry on calling the police to try and send sone officers overs here now!" Jewel ordered her close friend.
"I'm on it!" She nodded her head in determination and began working on calling the cops.
"Sofia, Pedro! I need both of you to get to the patient archives with Lexi and use this code to break the fire wall." Jewel handed Pedro some kind of USB device. "That is the code that will break the fire wall."
"And when we do get the info?" Sofia pondered and put a hand on her hip.
"I will tell you when you have what Lw I was trying to steal!"
"Got it!" All three of them wasted no time in returning to the elevator.
As for Jewel, she quickly whipped out her cell phone and began texting someone some vital information.
Things are about to get more interesting!
Yes they sure are ladies and gentlemen! RDJ and Blu will be entering where Nath and Skyler are trapped in. One of the possible associates was revealed to be Lexi! But there is still another accomplice out there. Sofia and Pedro appear to be getting closer. Plus, Nath and Skyler are in a very compromising position! Question is, what more will occur?
