Chapter Seven.

Lelouch ran up the stairs and into the closest room he could find, which happen to be an unused guest room. The room was barren, saved for a few pieces of furniture covered in dusty white linen. This was actually the room he was planing to turn into a nursery for his baby, but he could never get Suzaku to sign off on it. So the room stayed as is, which was a storage room for things that had no place to go in their home. Tired, Lelouch hid in the closet in the room and closed the door lightly so Suzaku wouldn't hear. There his emotions caught up to him and he couldn't stop himself from crying.

"This can't be happening..." He thought to himself. "Suzaku... he's really trying to..." Lelouch couldn't finish his thought, it was too hard to accept. That he had driven his husband to complete and utter insanity, making him want kill the raven, his wife... The person he said he loved, the person he slept next to every night, that cooked all his meals, the person who was carrying his child... None of it seemed to matter to the brunette anymore and Lelouch wasn't sure he would be able to fix this.

no, most definitely not.

There was nothing he could say to fix this.

Lelouch tried to control his sob's, he didn't know were his husband was and he didn't want to give himself away if he was near. How did he get himself into this situation? After all he's done for Suzaku, after all he's giving up, and this was what he was faced with? He tried so hard to be what Suzaku wanted, to be the good wife, but in the end it seemed that it didn't matter. "I should have saw this coming huh...?" He thought as he leaned against the closet wall After all, Suzaku was never happy with him anyway, he hadn't been some years now. Always beating on him and calling awful names, he could never make Suzaku happy no matter what he did. "It was always just a downward spiral..." He sighed sadly. Why was he just realizing this now? He shook his head. It didn't matter now did it?

No, most definitely not.

"So what am I going to do?" He asked himself wiping his tears from his face. Was there anything he could do? Suzaku had him trapped like a rat, he had no way to get out of here. And Suzaku was smarter than him and stronger, there was no way he could fight or out smart his husband... "I really am worthless..." He thought sadly. "Maybe I should just give up..." Maybe he should just sit there and want for Suzaku to come and end it all, he wouldn't make it too painful right? He wasn't that cruel was he? "Yeah... it's for the best..." More tears fell from his eyes. "I'm so worthless and dumb, living has always been so painful, maybe death will be a sweet release.." Just than as he was starting to give up a sharp pain rose from his stomach.

"Ah-!" A pained gasp escaped his lips. "W-what was that?" Before he could think about it, another sharp pain went through his stomach and he suddenly felt really wet between his legs. Scared and confused, Lelouch took his hand and hesitantly put it between his legs. "W-what is this..." he muttered as he felt himself. He was extremely wet and he felt... empty? It wasn't the right word, but it was only one that came to mind for him. "Did I just... pee?" He thought maybe he had wet himself, but it didn't feel like it, but whatever it was, it was everywhere. He brought his hand up and smelled it it didn't have an odor. Just then, another sharp pain came from his stomach. It hurt so much, that it took everything Lelouch had to keep himself from making a sound.

"Oh God, what is this..." Lelouch began to think and soon came to a terrifying conclusion.

His water had broken.

He was going into labor.

"Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, not now..." This couldn't have come at the worst time. He was in closet hiding from his homicidal husband for goodness sake! "Oh... Why now baby...?" He asked no one, He put both hands on his stomach rubbed gently in soothing motions to try and calm the baby. This wasn't suppose to be happening now! He was a whole two months away from the due date Lloyd had said. This was bad and dangerous, he had to do something or his baby could be in serious danger.

"But didn't you accept death just a moment ago, why change your mind now?" A voice piped up from the back of his mind. It sounded familiar, but he couldn't place it. But nevertheless it was right, he just accepted death so easily not even a few minutes ago, why was he changing his mind now?

"My baby..." The voice was right he did give up, but that was him being selfish, him thinking of his own pain, not his baby's. His baby was suffering too, but it wasn't giving up at all. Here it was right now inside of him fighting for life and for freedom and he should be doing the same.

For his child.

And for himself too.

As tired as he was of fighting, the raven had to think of way to get out of here with his life so his child could have its own. He was in pain and he felt really weak, but he didn't want to die here, he couldn't. Not when he had a another person to look out for. Not when another life, a life he created was depending on him to make sure it was safe.

Lelouch stood.

"Don't worry baby, mommy's gonna make sure you make it into this world safely." He said with new found determination. He was going to get out of here no matter what. For once in his life he was going to be brave, to be strong. Quietly, the raven stepped out of the closet. He had find a way to make it down stairs past his husband, where ever he was, and get help. Slowly, Lelouch made his way to the bedroom door and opened it slightly to peak, and gasped. On the other side was Suzaku, standing in the hallway looking around, a creepy smile on his face as carelessly twirled a knife in his hand.

"Lelouch~ Where are you~?" The brunette sang playfully sending a chill down Lelouch's spine. "Sweetie~" Suzaku looked in Lelouch's direction making him gasp and hide behind the door both hands covering his mouth.

"Did he see me?" The raven wondered nervously. Lelouch could then hear footsteps coming closer and he began panic. "Oh no... he did...What am I going to do?" He wasn't sure what he should do. If Suzaku came in here and saw him, what could he do? He couldn't possibly fight him, Suzaku was stronger than him and in his condition he couldn't put up much of a fight. The footsteps got closer until they where in front of the door. Lelouch suppressed a scared whimper as the door next to him was slowly being pushed open.

"Lelouch~ You in here dear?" The brunette asked cheerfully opening the door a little. "Don't worry love, I'm not going to hurt you... much." The raven was holding his breath. He wished the wall behind him would shallow him whole and he could get out of here.

"Please, please, please don't see me..." he begged. Lelouch stayed silent as the brunette looked around the room from the doorway, inches away from him. Lelouch stood there for what felt like forever thinking of what to do. Then, before he could do anything he heard an annoyed sigh.

"Guess not..." The door slowly closed and he could hear foot steps slowly retreating. When Lelouch could no longer hear the footsteps he let out a relieved sigh.

"Oh my God..." The raven's heart was beating wildly in his chest. His husband was so close to finding him and Lelouch didn't know what he was going to do if he did. The raven put his hand on his chest trying to wield his heart to slow down."Calm down... Calm down..." He whispered to himself. Lelouch stood there for a moment until his heart finally calmed itself. "Ok... I have to move..." He had to move and soon, the pain in his lower abdomen was getting worse and his baby felt restless. He had to get out on here and quick, before it was too late.

Opening the door slightly Lelouch poked his out into the hallway and looked around. Seeing no sign of Suzaku, Lelouch slowly stepped out of the bedroom and into the hallway. Hesitantly, The raven tip toed towards the stairs and made him his way down. On his way down another strap pain made its way into his stomach.

"Ugh-!" Lelouch slapped a hand over his mouth to keep the pained noises from escaping. "Ugh! Please stop!" He put a hand on his stomach and rubbed it in a circular motion. "Please baby..." This wave of pain was worse than the first one worrying him. Lelouch lean against the wall and stopped. "Why does this hurt so much...?" He questioned as he rested against the wall. He started to subside and , but his breathing was now really labored. "I really... need to go out... of here..." Lelouch was starting to feel really weak and it was becoming harder to stand. The raven wasn't sure what it was, but he felt that something was very wrong. That most of what he was going through wasn't normal for him to be simply going into labor, it was something more.

"I can't worry about this yet," He thought. "I have to get out of here first." As worried as he was about his baby and their health, he had to focus on what was at hand and that was getting away from his murderous husband. Slowly Lelouch continued down the stairs until he was on the first floor. Hesitantly, Lelouch looked around for Suzaku, but he seemed to not be around. "Hopefully he's still upstairs." He thought. The raven looked forward and eyed the door with was completely unguarded. "Now's my chance." He muttered.

Quickly, Lelouch jogged to the front door, freedom was so close he could taste it. Lelouch's heart was pounding, the doorknob was within his reach, but just as he was about to turn the handle, he felt himself being yanked back by his hair.

"Ahhh!" He yelled out in pain. Lelouch looked up and froze in fear. Behind him with a fist full of hair in their hands was Suzaku who had a menacing look on his face.

"Hello love," The brunette said in a sicken sweet tone. Suzaku yanked the ravens hair more beginning his face closer. "Where do you think your going?" He said before tossing Lelouch to the ground. "Did you think you can get away from me?" The landed with a painful thud on his side a few foot away from the door. The raven looked up and saw the the brunette stalking towards him.

"S-Suzaku please!" Lelouch begged as he began to back away from the murderous male. "Y-You don't have to do this!" But the man said nothing as walked towards Lelouch, a smile planted ever proudly on his face. Lelouch gasped as his back came into contact with a wall. "Oh no..." He was trapped his husband was standing in front of his only way to freedom. Panicking, Lelouch did the only thing left he could think of.

"HELP, HELP!" The raven screamed as loud as he could. "PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP ME!" Lelouch knew it was a chance that no one would here him, but he had to try, maybe someone would hear and call the police. He didn't know if it would what but he had to try.

"SOMEONE, ANYONE PLEASE!" He continued to scream. "HEL-!" Suddenly Lelouch heard a click and something cold was pressed against his temple. The raven eyes widen and he gasped when he realized what it was.

It was a gun.

Suzaku smiled widen while he looked down on the raven who look terrified.

"Are you done now?" He teased knelling down on one knee in front of the raven and taking Lelouch's face into his free hand. "Did you get it all out?" He asked as he squeezed Lelouch's face tightly. The raven said nothing as the Suzaku toyed with him, a grin planted on his face.

"Oh, are you wondering where I got this?" he asked as he waved his gun in Lelouch's face. "Well, while you were hiding in the spare room upstairs, i went to go get this from our closet in our bedroom." Lelouch looked at him with wide eyes, Suzaku knew he was in that room the whole time? but why didn't he do anything? He had a prefect opportunity to get to him.

"Nothing he's doing is making any sense..." The raven thought completely lost. Suzaku could have ended this long ago if he had wanted to, so why didn't he? Lelouch didn't think on it long, as his mind began to wonder to why and when did the other come into the ownership of a gun. As far as he knew, his husband didn't own one and never had. Had the other been planning to do this? If so for how long?

"I... I don't understand..." Lelouch whispered stunned. the brunette rolled his eyes almost seeming annoyed by the younger male.

"God you're an idiot." Suzaku muttered. "I'm toying with you," A small smirk formed on his lips. "you are my play thing, my rodent in this cat and mouse game we've been playing."

"Wha- a game?" the raven asked utterly lost on what the man was talking about.

"Yes a game, between us, that started fifteen minutes ago when you ran upstairs to hide." Suzaku told him sounding almost giddy about it. "You're the one who actually made the game, honestly I was just going to kill you in the kitchen then and there, but you, frail, lanky you, manged to get away" Suzaku laughed.

"It caught me by surprise really."

Lelouch said nothing as he just stared at Suzaku sadly. So all of this was just a game, his life was just a game to him. that's all this had ever been for the brunette. Suddenly Lelouch realized, Suzaku, the one that he fall in love with, the one he had spent most of his life trying to make love him again, was gone. Not a trace of him left in those cold, soulless eyes that use to hold some, at times, a small light of compassion for him that he thought he could plead to.

"Aww whats wrong cat got your tongue?" Suzaku teased. Lelouch opened his mouth to speak, but seemed to change his mind so he closed it. "Nothing to say?" Lelouch said nothing, there was nothing else he could think to say. "Well that's fine, not much to really talk about is there?" Suzaku stood up from his kneeling position. "Now that our little talk is done, lets get this over with." The brunette grabbed the raven by his arm tightly and pulled Lelouch roughly with him.

"N-no let go!" Lelouch yelled as tried to pull himself from the man, but Suzaku's grip on him was strong and no matter how hard he pulled, his grip didn't loosen. "LET GO! HELP! HELP! SOMEONE PLEASE!" Suzaku sighed annoyed.

"You know what, I'm tried of this." He said letting Lelouch go, making him fall back on the ground. The older man lifted his gun and pointed it at the raven. "I wanted to have a little fun, but frankly you're real noisy and I've grown bored with this game, so lets get this over with quickly ok?" Suzaku smiled turned sinister as he turned the safety off. Lelouch's eyes widen in horror at the realization of what was happening. Terrified, Lelouch curled into a ball and began to tremble.

This was it.

He was going to die.

He wasn't going to be able to keep his promise to his child.

"I'm.. I'm so sorry baby..."

Bang!

The loud noise echoed through the room until it was just a sting in the air or was that just his ears? Lelouch sat still eyes closed, breathe caught in his throat. was he dead? The raven put a hand on his chest and stayed still. A heart beat, his heart was beating and rather wildly at that.

Alive.

He was still alive, but how?

As he mused he hear noises coming from within the room. Decided it was time to open his eyes, slowly he opened both his eyes and looked around the room starting were Suzaku was just standing, but he was no longer there.

"What-?" Just then he heard someone yell his name.

"Lelouch!"

The raven head snapped to the direction of the voice and saw two figures fighting a little to his left. He could hear the two yelling at each other, one voice sounding a lot like Suzaku, telling the other figure to get off of him and that he was dead. The other voice he couldn't really hear what they were saying, but they sounded familar.

"Lelouch!" They called again. "Get up!" The raven's eyes widen as he get up and looked at the two struggling figures.

"S...Senji?" He nearly whispered. One of the figures looked back at him briefly and sure enough it was him. "How... Why?"

"You have to go!" He simply yelled in return. But Lelouch didn't move, he couldn't. He was still in a state of shock to see the other there. How did they even get in or know he was in trouble?

"You're a dead man!" He heard Suzaku yell bringing him from his thoughts. Lelouch looked at the two starting to notice their current state. Suzaku no longer had his gun, it seeming to have been thrown a little ways away in the struggle. Senji seem to have the upper hand as he was on Suzaku, but both were trading an equal amount of blows. Senji was bleeding from the nose while Suzaku had a cut on his lip.

"Lelouch please," Senji begged. "You have to run, go somewhere safe!" But still the raven did not move.

"Go somewhere safe?"

But what about Senji?

He couldn't possibly go anywhere and leave the other here with the person that was just trying to kill him. But he didn't know what to do, what he could do.

Senji looked back at the raven again to see what he was doing, but in doing so let his guard down, Suzaku, seeing this, use the opportunity to push the other brunette off of him, making the other land just at the ravens feet, and make a break for his gun. Senji quickly recovering, lunged for the other, who was crawling desprately for the gun, quickly climbing on top of him, both of them inches from the gun.

Suddenly Suzaku grabbed the gun tried to aim it at the other brunette, but Senji had gotten a hold of his wrist making it diffcult to aim at him. Suzaku began swinging wildly trying to yank his arm away from the other, but in doing so, let off two stray shots. One hitting a vase stuttering it into pieces and dust, the other hitting a framed picture hanging on the wall, the bullet resting in the stuttered glass. Then Suzaku stopped his wild swinging and began to try and aim the gun at Senji with all his might. Senji tried to fight against it, but the other was strong.

And soon the brunette had the gun pointing at Senji. Suzaku smirked.

"Told you you were dead." Senji's eye widen and then everything happened in one swift action.

Suzaku pulled the trigger.

And Senji cocked his head to the side a millisecond after.

BANG!

The bullet went whizzing by his head barely missing him, the explosive noise leaving a sharp ringing in his ear. Senji wince at the pain in his ear, but immediately ignored it. Senji snapped his head back up, and made a fist and punched the other brunette square in the jaw. The punch hadn't knocked the man out, but it seemed to stun him. Senji used the opportunity to take the gun from the other. Senji made a move to hit the man again, but a soft voice called to him.

"... S-senji..." The brunette halted his movements and looked behind him to see what was wrong. And what he saw made his heart stop.

There, behind him stood Lelouch.

And he was bleeding.

Senji eyes widen as he stared at the raven. The white over-sized sweater the small male was wearing, now had a large dark red strain about the size of a dinner plate on it.

"No..." Senji whispered shaking. "What...?" Just as he was about to question what happen, he sub consious answered him. Lelouch, he had been behind them the whole time, watching them, unmoving.

Even when Suzaku had...

Quickly the brunette jumped off of the other man rushed to Lelouch's side. Just as Suzaku had made it to the others side, Lelouch collapsed, but Senji managed to catch him. Senji slid down to his knees as he cradled the injured raven in his arms.

"Oh God..." Senji whispered in disbelief . The young brunette felt his chest heave and eyes burn with unfallen tears.

He did this.

This was his fault.

If he just didn't move-

"Don't..."

Senji gasped, surprised. The raven looked up at the other with half-lidded eyes.

"You're blaming yourself..." Lelouch said softly. "Don't..."

"Lelouch," The brunette whispered, his tear starting to fall. "I'm so sorry, I don't know what- I-" Words were pouring out of his mouth like a waterfall, rushed, nonsensical and shaky.

"Its ok..." He told him, slowly Lelouch lifted one hand and began to wipe Senji's tears away. "It's.." Before the raven could finish, his eyes slowly closed and his hand dropped from Senji's face. The brunette looked at the raven horrified.

"Lelouch..." He said shaking the other's body slightly, but he the male did not move. "Lelouch!" He yelled as he began to sob.

Lelouch,

The only person he had ever loved.

The light of his life was...

Senji held Lelouch's body close. This was all his fault he should taken that bullet, Then Lelouch wouldn't have been-

"FREEZE!" Senji heard someone yelled. The brunette looked up from the floor he didn't know he been staring at and was met with several armed police officers pointing guns at him. "Drop your weapon, now!" Senji looked at him confused.

"Weapon...?"

Senji suddenly became aware of the gun in his hand and quickly dropped it.

"Its not- I didn't-" Senji started.

"That man, he broke into my house, he attack me." Suzaku yelled as he help himself up and started pointing at the other. "He even shot my lover!" Senji's eyes widen stunned at the accusation.

"What- No! that's not true I-" Senji began, but as cut off by a police officer.

"Arrest them both, we'll sort this out down at the precinct." The officer commanded. "And hurry and get forensic down!"

A few officers moved and did as ordered Suzaku argued and swear as they placed handcuffs on him, but otherwise went with the officer without much of a fight. Senji on the other hand fought with the officers trying to hold on to Lelouch as he plead his case, that sadly fell on deaf ears.

"I didn't do anything, please you have to believe me!" In the end it took officers to pull the brunette away from the ravens body and dragged him out of the house were several cop cars waited and a few spectators watching from behind yellow cation tape that had been quickly set up. "You have to listen to me! His husband shot him!"

"I'll hear all about it downtown." The cop said rigidly. The officer opened the door to a cop car and roughly pushed the male in and slammed the door.

"I didn't do this! Please!" Senji yelled, but the cop was already walking away. Senji hold his head down as fresh tears ran down his cheeks and onto his lap. "I loved him..."

Inside the house, police were already scouring the home for clues. Hoping to piece together a least some idea as to what happen here, before the lead detective arrived. As the officers roamed the house one cop began to look over the ravens body a sad expression on his face. The officer he had seen many cases like this before, but it never made them less hard to be around or make him wonder why he had ever become a cop.

Especially when the victim was someone clearly so very young.

The officer kneeled down next the raven and leaned in to get a closer look of his face. This person looked like they had been through Hell and back again, with busted, a bruised cheek and a scrape under his left eye.

"What happen to you kid?"

"S.. S ahh..." Came the faintest whisper. The officers eyes widen surprised and alarms suddenly went off in his head.

"Get a stretcher in here now!" The cop yelled as he stood up right. "He's alive!"

Lights blinded hazy violet eyes as they wiz overhead as shadows of what looked like people danced around. Loud sounds and voices blurred together to make incoherent white noise. Lelouch was lost and confused as to what was happening, thoughts and words flying in and out of his mind at an alarming rate, making it hard to focus on his surroundings. The raven was scared now, what was happening? Where was he?

"You're going to be ok!" Come a voice out of the white noise. The voice was deep and soothing, but also held hint of urgency, but why? Did something happen? Lelouch tried to remember, but as soon a he felt close to understanding the situation at hand, the thought would leave him again keeping him in state of constant confusion. His head hurt terribly and he desperately wanted to sleep.

Maybe he should just close his eyes...

Just for a little while...

That could help his racing mind...

As Lelouch drifted in and out consciousness he could hear a faint yell that sounded very distant.

"We're...ing him!"

"We're losing him!"

The heart monitors alarm beeped loudly singling the distress the patient was in. The patient's heart rate was under thirty-eight, which was far to low and could lead to cardiac arrest. A nurse yelled for an IV drip and a blood transfusion as they put a oxygen mask onto the patient. Another nurse had grabbed a pair of scissors and began to cut the victims top off to start cleaning the wound and slow the bleeding.

"Doctor do I call to surgery!" A red-haired nurse asked coming to the doctors side who was currently helping one nurse cut the patient's shirt completely open, his scissors had become stuck on the victims thick yarn sweater.

"Yes, quickly, I worry that the bullet may have ruptured an organ." He told the nurse. His voice was level, calm almost, but still held a sense urgency and authority that always held his team together. This hospital, Code Geass Memorial, was one of the worse in the country. It was undermanned, under-funded, and overworked. It was last place you wanted to go in an emergency, but it was were you usually got sent. It was full of a lot of doctor's and nurses that seem to not care about this place or its patients. All excpet for a select few.

Dr. Kaname Ohgi and his team.

His team, which was made up of five nurses, seem to be the only ones who thought this place and it's people was worth fighting for. His team looked to him for leadership and guidance in this place and knew that they would be lost or would have quit long ago without him.

And they had no problem admitting that.

"Yes Doctor." The nurse said taking her leave from the small curtained room. Ohgi, now done helping the nurse cut the sweater off, looked to leaving the redhead, before yelling to her; "Kallen, ask someone to bring a ultrasound machine down here too!" The redhead turned a skeptical look on her face, but she nodded understanding before jogging on to the closest telephone.

"A Ultrasound?" A confused nurse asked as they connected a blood bag to the patient "why?" The doctor looked to the questioning nurse.

"The bullet, it looks like it may have gone straight through, but we can't be too sure." Ohgi told them. Blood was everywhere, they had no clue were the entry wound even was for a moment, let along an exit one, so he had to take cautionary steps to make sure nothing was over looked. Ohgi looked over the patient as his nurses buzzed around rushing to save them, as they waited to hear back from Kallen. "How are they?" He asked, the heart monitor was no longer beeping as wildly as before, but he saw that the patient was still in life-threatening danger.

"We're slowed the bleeding some, but he's in bad shape Ohgi-Sama." A light haired brunette answered, looking over the patient sadly. "We have to get into surgery as soon as possible..." The doctor nodded taking in their answer. Just then Kallen returned and was pushing an Ultra sound machine. The nurses and doctor looked to her and notice how pissed she looked.

"Does assholes said we have to wait!" She yelled. "Something about them being busy or some shit!"

"What?" The group exclaimed as the doctor glared angry as he clinched his fist. Those who worked in surgery had to be the worse in this place save for one. This wasn't their first time "being busy" while Oghi and his group had a critical patient on their hands.

"Don't they know this person could die?!" the Brunette nurse asked.

"Trust me Shirley, I was yelling at the fuck's for a good two minute's before they hung up." Kallen told her coworker as she began to hook-up the the ultra sound. Shirley looked from Kallen to Oghi. A grave look in her eyes,

"What do we do now Oghi-Sama..." she asked. All the nurses turn to him desperate for an answer. Oghi looked to them saw the desperate look they all shared. Oghi took a deep breath, before speaking.

"We're going to do all we can to keep this person alive." He said. "That's our job and that's what we'll do, if we have to wait that's fine, we're use to it, but we still have to give this person a chance at life, because that's what we do here. We have no room for doubt!" The group nodded with their new found confidence and began to do all they could to keep this person alive. Though they were worried, they couldn't be doubtful, because doubt lead to mistakes and that couldn't let that happen.

Oghi, though steady and confident in his speech, was still nervous and unsure on what exactly they were going to do for this person. It was only so little they could do here, they were simply suppose to assess the damage, get the person somewhat stable and prep the patient for surgery, not much more. Sure they were use to the surgery team being lazy assholes, but that didn't mean they were fully prepared.

"Cut it out." Oghi came out of his thoughts at the sharp tone. He looked to see that Kallen was next to him glaring. "If you lose it here, we'll fall apart."

"I know, I'm fine." He said though he was clearly frowning.

"Cut the shit you ass, you're clearly not." Kallen snapped, she hated being lied to. "I know you and I know that look, you're worried, we all are, but if you break here, that man is as good as dead!" Oghi sighed, Kallen knew him almost as good as his wife did, it was no hiding his worry from the redhead, because she would see it in a heartbeat.

"Does sons of bitches in surgery really fucked us." The doctor said annoyed. Kallen smirked.

"Yeah, but we'll pull through." She told him. "We always do." Oghi smiled.

"I know."

"Good, now move it we got a paitent to save." Kallen walked away from the doctor to help her coworkers steady the paitent, he still was suffering from significant blood loss and it needed to be taking care of. Oghi nodded to himself and got to work.

"Pass me the gel and the wand." Oghi ordered. A nurse quickly passed it to the doctor as another nurse was cleaning the entry wound area for the doctor. once done the nurse moved out of the doctors way so he could begin. Oghi put the gel carefully around the wound and began to search for the bullet several of the nurses watched the screen as other left to get more supplies. Oghi did this for a moment before sighing a little relived.

"I don't see it." He told the group. it was quiet for a moment, then the sound of inconsistent tumping could be heard.

"What is that?" Shirley asked.

"Must be his heartbeat." A nurse answered.

"its going so fast and it sounds like its echoing..." Kallen chimed in.

"Yeah, but what does it mean?" another questioned.

"Maybe the machines broken?" Shirley asked. "I remember there being one that was broken..."

"No way I got the good one this time," Kallen told the brunette as she put her hands on her hips. "I definitely didn't touch that one."

Oghi looked from the screen down at the patient. The young doctor noticed that wand was awfully close to the patients stomach. Applying more gel Oghi slowly moved the wand over the persons stomach and what they all saw appear on the screen made them feels as if their hearts stop.

There on the black and white monitor was a baby. Everyone in the small area was stunned into silence staring deeply at the screen confused and lost.

"W-wait I thought this person a male..." Shirley, who was first to speak, said quietly making everyone else come back to reality.

"N-no! W-wait, I don't understand!" Kallen said also confused on how to respond. The redhead looked to the patient and then to Oghi. "This is a guy right Oghi!" The doctor looked from the screen to Kallen and wordlessly nodded.

"Then how the Hell do you explain that there's a child in his stomach?" A nurse asked looking to Kallen.

"I don't know!" Kallen yelled. "God this day just get's crazier and crazier!"

"Maybe its something else!" A nurse said.

"Like what, a puppy!?" Another yelled, sounding annoyed.

"No!" The previous nurse exclaimed. "I don't know..."

"The child's heartbeat is really high..." Shirley said quietly the group stopped talking and looked to her, "You don't think..." Knowing what she was implying the nurses eyes widen and Kallen put her face in her hands.

"Oh God..." The redhead mumbled. This was just what they needed today, a male pregnant gunshot victim.

And he was now in labor.

None of them were prepared for this. None of them had even heard of such a person capable of doing such a thing. How the hell were they going to take care of someone who was literally defining the laws of nature. Someone like this shouldn't even exist.

"Oghi-Sama!" Shirley looked to the doctor who had been quiet this whole. "What do we do?" The nurses looked to Ochi for an answer. The doctor looked at his team, not such what to tell them. He was just as lost as they were on this matter. This person shouldn't exist. The word hermaphrodite had crossed his mind, but had never heard of a human male becoming pregnant.

Oghi sighed.

This was way above his pay grade.

"I.. I don't know..." Oghi said surprising the group. "I've- None of us have dealt with something like this before.. maybe we should... call someone?"

"Kaname!" Kallen yelled. "We don't have time for that!" She yelled. "He- She- They aren't going to make it that long!"

"Well what do you want me to do!" Oghi yelled frustrated shocking some one the nurses, but not Kallen.

"Lead us!" The redhead answered. "We follow you, we depend on you!" Kallen gestured towards the patient.

"This person is depending on you! I've watched you save countless lives, some that even looked real dire! So I know you can do this, we all do!" Kallen looked to her coworkers. "No matter what you say or what you do, we'll all be behind you no matter, so please help us save this this person and they're child..." The other nurses begged the doctor as well, all promising to do whatever they could to help. Oghi looked at the all in awe at their shear devotion to him. The doctor didn't know what he did to have such a team behind.

Oghi felt himself become confident again.

"Ok, let's do this." The nurses smiled. "Kallen, go tell to surgery get that room ready now or so help me god I'm kicking all their asses straight to hell!" The redhead smirked.

"With pleasure."

"The rest of you help me get them ready move." Oghi ordered.

"Yes sir!" they said with new found enthusiasm. Oghi smirked. He didn't know how this was going to play out, but he hoped this all went in their favor.

"God help us"

Guys I have to apologize for taking so long to update this story, my life has continued to have many pit falls, but you can always count on me to finish a story. I know i said this would be the last chapter, but as I wrote this one it just got longer and longer and longer until it seemed to just drag on and I don't want that, I want you to stay engaged. So I've decided to split it into two part, the second part I am working on now. I thank everyone that is understanding in advance and I am so thankful for you all sticking with me and my wildly erratic life.

Much Love, Maka 3
