Chapter 28

At the domain…

Suguru was eating like he hasn't had food before.

Then again, around meal times, he devours everything and anything. It has worried Yua. "Suguru… are you getting enough to eat? Do we need to up your snacks?" she asked of him during lunch.

He just inhaled a plate of noodles like it was nothing and swallowed them whole without chewing. "No, this is good… can I have more offal?" he asked.

She was stunned he wanted grilled offal, but she obliged him no less. Suguru ate and savored every morsel of food. When he was satisfied, he gave a content sigh… and grew out again. It has been rather odd to see, every meal, Suguru gains weight.

"This is drastically different than what Toshi went through, at the same time, the children you have are desperately playing catch up, but your body already altered itself so you will be nurturing right?" she asked offhandedly.

Suguru nodded. "Thanks to Saitama… at the same time. I think Saitama is finally getting enough to eat. I have been careful since he is worried, every meal, he can feel himself grow out. Yet when he does, he also feels himself shrink, he doesn't know what to make of it."

She nodded to this, Yua has to give credit where it is due here. Saitama is enduring for the sake of his siblings.

"Has Saitama acted out at all?"

He shook his head. "No, he has been very cooperative. I am making sure I eat things he likes too, that's been half the battle. He is still trying to refuse food, but, since we're close and connected like this, I can sense when he is hungry and what he desires without him telling me." He said and smiled.

She smiled to that too. Suguru is taking Saitama's preferences into consideration when he eats. With lunch finishing up, he asked for green tea as a meal ender. Yua was about to go make some when she saw them. Marcy and Ryoto tending to Megumi.

It was cute to watch Ryoto using his extra arms to feed himself and Megumi at the same time, but the real eye catcher was how Marcy looked at him. She has been smiling and her face flushes red at the sight of Ryoto. At the same time, what is happening now is not going to do him any favors later. Marcy without a doubt is testing him. She's observing how well he tends to Megumi as a base line for herself. Since, she intends on having children herself and from him no less.

'I think Sukuna is going to get a LOT of grandkids out of this one…' Yua thought and snickered at the idea.

As she went to the kitchen to make the tea, she found that the students have since been replaced. Muta has been on a roll creating curse corpses as of late, those he once used to interact with the world have now become cooks, cleaners and sparing partners. "I am impressed he got these up and running so fast." She said offhandedly.

"It wasn't easy" came out of one of the curse corpses. Yua paused and peered at it. "Hi Yua, everything okay? Was it cooked properly?"

She smiled and nodded. "No complains, Suguru ate everything without fuss. So how did you train these things to cook?" she asked.

Muta snickered at the question, he had them observe not just Yuuji and Eso, but Irina and the students when they were here. He can upload recipes into the curse corpses for future meals and they are constantly learning. "Saves us on time, excellent work… at the same time… why?" she asked curiously.

The robot turned away, as if embarrassed. "Uh… it was something for Miwa. She's been training so hard lately, she enjoys cooking but her arms are so sore from her whip training that she can't. So…"

It felt that there was more to this story than what was being said, but Yua left it be, after all. Suguru's green tea was just finished brewing.

Suguru gave a deep sigh.

He was full, content and oddly happy at this point. 'I never thought being pregnant would be… oddly calm…' he thought. But then again, he is only like this because Saitama saved the children. Had nothing been done, he doubt he would be feeling anything like this at the moment.

"Oji, everything okay?"

He peered and saw Ryoto with Megumi and Marcy. They came over from their table to check on him. He smiled and nodded. "I just ate and am awaiting tea, care to join me?" he asked.

Ryoto nodded and took a seat. Megumi was passed out in his sling on Ryoto's chest. "You are looking great!" Marcy said as she marveled at him. "I wonder if my father was this big when he was expecting my siblings and I?"

"It's different for everyone," Suguru insisted. "Besides, this is just getting everything in order, it won't be long until it settles, I know Saitama is not happy in there…"

Ryoto peered at him oddly but nodded. "I can just sense him… somehow… I shouldn't be able to, should I?"

"You have more than just curse energy to call upon, you are picking up on the divine and elemental energies Saitama releases" Marcy explained. "But it is remarkable that you can pick up on that."

"Considering where he is…" Suguru chimed in. "Either way, I am just happy that everyone is looked after. I hope that this happens a lot faster than usual for Saitama's sake." He said and gently caressed his stomach. It's been an odd habit for Suguru as he tends to do this more often.

Yua then returned with the tea and thankfully extra cups. "You two look like a cute couple," she said to Ryoto and Marcy.

Marcy giggled. Ryoto flushed red with embarrassment. Suguru snickered as he was given his drink. It's been his tradition after a meal and snacks is a cup of green tea. After all, he is rather concerned if Saitama asks for liver juice… Suguru isn't a fan of that.

"I… had an interaction with Megumi" Ryoto said.

Suddenly, everyone was all ears as he explained that he passed out. And yet, when he was, he heard someone calling for help in the darkness. "It was like a domain or a void, but… I could hear him calling for help. I told Megumi I will do my best, and he is taking me at my word… I am grateful considering…"

"I told you before! Your father's actions are NOT YOURS!" Marcy scolded.

"She's right" Suguru said gently. "You are taking on your father's burdens despite the fact they are not yours to take. Ryoto, have more pride in who you are. You are nothing like your father."

He forced a small laugh. "Are you sure about that?"

Suguru was about to speak, but Yua cleared her voice rather abruptly. He went silence as she turned to Ryoto. "Without a doubt in my mind, you are more like your mother than your father." She said without hesitation. "Don't let your father's actions dictate or make the path for you. You are your own person, Ryoto and you are a lot smarter than that. At the same time, your father is teaching you from the mistakes he made so you don't have to make them."

He froze to this, Suguru smiled and nodded in agreement. "It would be as if my children are destined to do what I tried to do, kill every human in Japan and move on to the rest of the world…" he explained.

"Oji… you did try that didn't you?"

He forced a small laugh. "Yes, and I ended up being the greater fool for it. Your aunt, my wife explained the notion was doomed to fail… Your mother beat that lesson into me." He said rather casually. "And I am grateful that they did."

He saw Yua appear a bit stunned, but smiled nonetheless.

"Anyways, the fact is that you are connecting with Megumi and he is accepting your help, this is a huge step Ryoto. I can understand Megumi is not in the best of moods at the moment, at the same time, had this not happened… I do believe he would have died by now."

The room went silent. Suguru froze to this. "Yua?" he asked in a stunned tone.

She explained to everyone the same thing she learned from Lady Tiamat. Megumi was trying to reject the body his shikigami had made for him to become a dragon. He continues to fight this notion to this day, thus why he has been rendered an infant. It was to bide time.

When she finished, Ryoto was silent on the matter. "He's been trying to separate himself from the body, but in doing so it means he has given up his physical form and die…" he said.

Yua nodded. "He's rendered an infant now since, as you can see, he is not thinking like himself. He is very child like, it's to let his true mind come to terms with the body and soul. But, he is growing fast and he cannot stay an infant forever."

Suguru saw a serious look come over Ryoto. He peered down at Megumi with concern but then said. "I promise you Megumi, you are going to get through this and accept it. You will be a true dragon, I vow this!" he said seriously.

Marcy was on the brink of tears when she heard him say such a thing; Ryoto is a man of his word.
