Chapter Five
After being at school for six weeks, Claire had no trouble from Holly and her friends. But now she had two weeks left and her brothers couldn't stay with her, they were busy with what they do.
Right now she was in art class and it was the one of two classes she like, Claire just hoped that Holly would leave her alone as she didn't want any trouble.
But Holly wasn't going to leave claire alone, she walked over and holly tipped water over Claire.
She says to Claire. "You don't have your brothers here now, so no one to protect you"
Standing up Claire looks to Holly. "Your just jealous that I have a loving family, and you don't have that at home do you?"
She was so shocked that Holly couldn't say anything. Claire got her things and left the class, she went back to her room to have a shower and change into dry clothes.
Once she was in her room Claire put her things down and looked up at her laptop, she saw that her big brother Scott was calling her but she didn't answer as she needed a shower.
She went and had a shower and once she was done, Claire got dried and dressed. Claire walked out of the bathroom and sees Lady Penelope sitting with a cup of tea, Parker was tiding up the room.
She was still in shock. "Lady Penelope what are you doing here"
Looking up Lady Penelope replies. "Your father and brothers asked me to come and check on you"
Sighing Claire answers. "As you can see I'm fine"
Lady Penelope wasn't convinced. "Are you really fine, your father and brothers told me you haven't been answering their call"
Sitting down Claire sighs. "They should be concentrating on what they do"
She just wanted to drop the matter, she also want's to get through the next few weeks without any trouble. After that Lady Penelope left and told Jeff and his boys about Claire.
After a week Claire was keeping her head down, till Holly and her friends decided to teach Claire a lesson.
Claire was walking down the corridor to her class, when Holly slammed her against the wall.
Claire tried to fight Holly off. "Let me go Holly or you will regret it"
Holly and her friends hit, kicked and punched Claire, then once Claire was on the floor Holly kicked her in the head. Satisfied that she wasn't going to get up, Holly and her friends left and went to their class.
A teacher was walking down the corridor when she sees Claire on the floor, she called out for help and to call the principal.
Once in the nurses room and the nurse checked Claire over, writing down the injuries that Claire has.
The nurse looked to the principal. "What I can see is that Miss Tracy has a black eye, split lip, abdominal bruising, she needs to go to the hospital as she has a head injury"
After claire was taken to hospital the doctor did tests, then called Jeff Tracy to let him know about his daughter.
A few hours later Jeff and his sons Scott and Virgil, they were taken to Claire's room where they see her hooked up to machines, IV drip and an oxygen mask.
Jeff looks to see the doctor walk in, the doctor told Jeff and his sons about Claire's injuries.
Scott asked. "Why is Claire still unconscious?"
The doctor sighs. "Claire got kicked in the head, but we hope that she will wake up soon"
Holding his sisters hand Virgil asked. "Can we take her home?"
The doctor say. "Once Claire wakes up we can think about discharging her"
All three men nods then went to sit by Claire, they talked to each other waiting for her to wake up.
Jeff says. "Once Claire wakes up we are taking her home, I'm also taking her out of school"
He couldn't help it, Scott snaps. "You should have taken her out of school two months ago"
He knew he should have. "I know that I should have"
No one saw that Claire had woke up, she stayed quite and listened to them. She moved slightly and winched in pain as her ribs were sore.
Virgil heard and looked to Claire. "Claire your awake, how do you feel?"
Claire winches again. "I've been better"
Both Jeff and Scott look to Claire carefully, then Jeff went to get the doctor.
Scott leans in and asked. "Do you remember what happened?"
She shakes her head and winches. "No I don't remember, when can I go home?"
Both Virgil and Scott looked to each other, they were worried that Claire had no memory of being attacked.
The doctor and Jeff walked in and the doctor checked Claire over, he wanted to keep her in overnight. But the doctor knew that Mr Tracy wants to take his daughter home.
The doctor looked to Jeff. "I would like to keep Claire in overnight, but I know you want to take her home"
Scott asked. "You mean that we can take Claire home now"
The doctor nods. "Yes you can take Claire home, but she must rest"
Jeff nods and went with the doctor to sign the discharge forms, Scott and Virgil help Claire to change and waited for their father to return.
While waiting Claire says. "Well this feels familiar"
Scott nods and replies. "Yes it does but this time your coming home, and dad is taking you out of school"
She nods. "I never wanted to go to school"
Sighing Virgil asked. "Why didn't you answer our calls"
She didn't want to talk about it. "I had homework to do"
Virgil put his hand on Claire's shoulder. "Have you been bullied since we left"
She was shocked and tears in her eyes. "Yes I have been bullied….. Holly and her friends did this to me….."
Scott stayed calm. "What….. why didn't you say anything?"
She looked at her brothers. "Because I thought the I could handle it"
Both Scott and Virgil were proud how Claire was being brave, they both hug her gently as to not hurt her.
Jeff walked in and sees his sons hugging their sister. "Hey guys let go home"
All three nod at their father, Scott helped Claire while Virgil and Jeff carried the bags out to the car. The drive was quite to the private airport, once at the airport jeff headed to Tracy One while his boys helped Claire and got the bags.
Once on board Tracy One Jeff did his pre-flight checks, Virgil was co-pilot this time. While Scott sat with Claire and trying to get her to talk, he wanted her to tell him about her being beat up.
She sighs. "I was walking down the corridor to get to class, Holly slammed me against the wall"
Staying calm Scott asked. "What happened next?"
She let her tears fall. "The next thing Holly and her friends were hitting, kicking and punching me…… just before I lost consciousness Holly kicked me the head"
Scott was angry that his sister got hurt, he wrapped his arms around Claire and let her cry. She cried herself to sleep in her big brothers arms, Scott knew that this time his dad will talk to their family lawyer.
In the meantime Scott was happy to hold Claire while she slept, the rest of the flight was quite that even Scott fell asleep.
They got home late at night and Jeff decided to talk to his daughter in the morning, and to talk to his lawyer about suing the girls who hurt Claire.
It was early hours of the morning when Claire woke up screaming and sweating, Scott and Virgil heard and ran to their sisters room.
Both Scott and Virgil calmed Claire then got her to change while they changed the bedding, once both Claire and her bed were changed both brothers decided to stay with their sister.
She climbed back into bed and fell asleep knowing that she was safe with her brothers there, both Scott and Virgil fell asleep on the sofa that was in the room.
All Scott and Virgil knew was that their sister was having nightmares again, they were going to there for Claire every step of the way.
