Over the weekend there were no more opportunities to "hump" for Eric and Sookie. There was however a semi awkward conversation between Eric and Amelia about work vs. personal life because she wanted to actually see where things went with Pam and after spending the night on Friday and her waking up in his house, mildly hung over with him making them breakfast including her it was obvious things needed to be discussed. its not like Eric had any issues with this, nor had he ever had any secrets from Amelia in the 4 years she's been his assistant since he stopped practicing law and came to take his place at the studio. He couldn't, he realized fast that the more information Amelia had the better she did her job. After breakfast Pam went to go shower and Sookie went out back to clean up from their night before by the pool. Amelia tried to scurry out behind Sookie, but Eric stopped her with a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey, hang back a second. I think we need to talk."

"Uhhhh, I mean. Yes, I suppose this needs to happen. Can I just say something first then you form your thoughts around that information?" She said settling back down at the bar on the island in the middle of the kitchen.

"Absolutely, the more information you have the more power you have, right?" He smiled, repeating the words she's said to him so many times.

"Yeah, absolutely." She took in a deep breath "Eric, my job is important to me. Being your assistant is really a dream come true. You know I had a really terrible experience when I first got into this industry." Eric nodded, she had worked for Felipe De Castro for about 6 months before he hired her. He actually poached her after walking into Felipes office for a meeting and seeing him groping at a silently crying Amelia. "I want to pursue a serious relationship with Pam. She is your sister and you live together and I know this is going to be weird. I want both things, I will however understand if I can't have both."

Eric tented his fingers and tried to look at her seriously. He could see she was starting to hyperventilate so he decided to cut her a break and smiled.

"Well, good news for you is I was just going to say that I want you to start feeling more comfortable here while you are dating my sister so we should set a 7pm boundary that after 7, unless there is a serious reason you are not my assistant. You're just my sisters girlfriend and Sookies friend and ideally also, my friend. Im happy for you. I also can't do my job without you. You are indispensable to me. I do understand we may have to communicate out loud from time to time that you are off the clock, because I have gotten very used to our dynamic of you just being my assistant so please, don't be afraid to speak up. You've had sex in my hot tub with my sister, I think we're well past a gray area and full on into working it out territory." He grinned at her, she just covered her face.

"Oh my God, noooooooo." He could see she was beat red from the back of her neck has she put her head down on the counter.

"That wasn't what you were screaming last night." He laughed out.

"Please kill me, just put me down!" She said muffled into her arms.

"Absolutely not, Pam would never forgive me. Its fine, just maybe next time in Pams room and not in the back yard at 3am while Sookie is passed out in a pool lounger 8 feet away." He patted her back and started to walk away.

"Im dying, I actually thing this is what dying feels like!" She yelled.

"You'll be fine, we're on friend time now. Ill stop making fun of you Monday at 8am." Amelia whimpered as he stepped out the sliding glass doors to go see what Sookie was doing.

Sookie was collecting the bottles, glasses, towels and other random items that had found their way outside during their little girls night last night. She was reaching over the edge of the pool trying to reach a chip bag that had fallen in it when Eric saw and opportunity he just couldn't pass up. Sookie was there, butt up in the air, reaching out with her hand, fingers just barely able to graze the bag, trying to stretch out more. Eric couldn't resist, he lifted his foot and gave her butt a healthy shove. Sookie fell in the pool. He absolutely lost it, that was funnier than her thought. Sookie came up sputtering and said.

"You son of a…" he cut her off with a smile.

"Language, Sookie." She was getting herself out of the pool and looked at him with determination.

"I am going to get you for that!" She said with a scream and went to chase him. He stopped and turned, just as she reached to grab him he picked her up and threw her back in the pool as if she was a toy and it took him no effort at all. He took off laughing as she yet again got out of the pool and chased back after him. His superior leg length meant she was no match for him. He strategically slowed down or stopped numerous times so she could get just close enough to think she could catch him, then he took off again. They were laughing and screaming like two little kids. Him dodging the cushions and small items she was throwing at him. Pam and Amelia looked at them from inside. Amelia turned to pam and said.

"They are either going to stay married forever or they are going to follow through on getting divorced and absolutely destroy themselves." Pam nodded and said.

"You know, last week the thought of them together repulsed me. Like it made me physically angry to think about, but honestly, looking at them being so happy and they way they've been figuring all this crap out as a team, I can't really see them apart anymore. Its like they had a 6 year long distance relationship and they're finally together. Its weird, but….." She trailed off.

"Can I ask an inappropriate question?" Amelia asked.

"Absolutely."

"Have you and Sookie ever been…"

"More than friends?" Pam asked taking the heat off Amelia who just nodded.

"No, but the first year I knew her I did have a huge crush on her, but the feelings changed while we were on our Europe trip. I started to understand the love I felt for her wasn't romantic and I just didn't understand the feelings I was feeling because I hadn't really been out that long and I hadn't really had a close female friendship before. Our relationship now is something I would say is akin to sisters. I'm really glad I never tried to confess my love to her or anything, because not only is she super straight, but I wasn't actually into her like that. Why jealous?" Pam smirked. Amelia giggled and said.

"No, not jealous, more just trying to figure out why you hated the idea of them together so much."

"I think it was because if they were to not work out it would damage my relationship with both." Amelia put an arm around her and squeezed.

"Then I guess we're just going to have to make sure that doesn't happen then." Pam smiled. She always appreciated the companionship she had with Sookie, but Amelia was something different. She had never told anyone about how she used to feel about Sookie or how she processed her feelings about it. It was freeing to finally let it out. Some things she just couldn't share with Sookie and she wanted Sookie to have a relationship outside of her to grow in too. Where as the thought of Eric in any context outside of being her brother was disgusting to her, he wasn't a massive sack of shit and clearly he'd been into Sookie a while. They watched for a little while longer while Eric kept catching and throwing Sookie in the pool until he finally grabbed her and jumped in holding her to him, starting a splash fight. They walked off to get on their suits and join them outside.

Sunday night rolled around and Eric broached the subject of coming to meet him at his office for lunch tomorrow.

"Sookie, do you want to meet me at my office for lunch tomorrow? You know, put in some wife appearances?" He asked hopefully. Sookie looked let down and said.

"I can't Pam has meetings in the garment district all day. She can't drive me."

"That's fine, I actually do own a car that's not a stick shift. You can drive that." Pam barked out a laugh and sookie looked sheepish.

"I don't really drive, Eric."

"What do you mean? I know you have a license. We Just had your name changed to Northman on it." Pam at this point was almost dying banging her fist on the counter. Eric threw his hands up and said "okay, what don't I know?" Pam was wiping tears away from her eyes and said.

"Sookie, when did you get your license?"

"I was 17."

"And when was the last time you drove a vehicle?" Pam was grinning ear to ear at this point.

"When I was 17." She said and hung her head.

"Sookie, you haven't driven since you were 17?" Eric asked shocked.

"Oh no, its better than that, Eric. She hasn't driven since the ride back from getting her license."

"Pam! I hit a squirrel and killed it! My first act as a driver was to commit a murder!" Sookie hung her head, Pam was laughing and Eric was doing his very best not to openly laugh at her. He gathered himself and said.

"That's okay, I can just send a car for you." Sookie looked at him and said.

"Oh I don't uber. On near kidnapping was plenty for my blood." He shook his head and said.

"No, like Ill send a car, like a private car with a driver that works for the studio. They will come get you." Sookie started bobbing her head and talking in a mocking rich person voice.

"Oh yes, I'll just send a car. Wear your best Tiara." Eric smiled.

"I can send a Tiara with the car if that's what it takes to get you to come have lunch with me. Ill just text Amelia…" sookie threw her hands up.

"NOOO! No Tiara!

"So, yes car?" Eric asked. She bit her lip and thought for a moment. She isn't going to drive, Pam is busy with her work and she does have to put in wife appearances.

"Yes, but just this once. lets not make a habit of this. I need to figure out how to get around on my own here sooner than later anyway."

"I can just hire you a private driver, it's no big deal." He shrugged.

"Ummmm, yes. its a big deal Eric. That's a lot of money." He put his hands up and said

"A lot of money is relative to the person. its not…" Sookie cut him off.

"I don't want to know about your money. I have a good enough idea. I don't need gory details infiltrating my thoughts." Pam put her hand on hers and said.

"Sookie, we're going to have to talk about it eventually. You never wanted to talk to me about my money, but its different with Eric." Sookie looked at her and said.

"Not really, I don't want to know and please," she looked at both of them "do not spend egregious amounts of money on me. I'm good, I have a savings and Jason sends me some every month and he's going to keep doing it until I figure out what I'm going to do with my life over the next year." They nodded and Eric said

"I promise no Tiaras…. For now." Sookie rolled her eyes.

"No tiaras ever!"

"I can't predict the future Sookie. What if you have and Tiara emergency? Things happen in life!" Eric was smiling at her now. He wanted to change the tone of the conversation. He was absolutely hiring her a private driver. She didn't need to know, but he would ease her in. He had already texted Amelia to have it done and let her know Sookie was not to know. High handed? Perhaps, but she needed to be able to get around and he didn't want to open the squirrel massacre can of worms at this point.

"There's no such thing, Eric. No one ever has an emergency need for a tiara." She said back.

"If you say so. So i'll have you picked up at noon."

"Fine, but just this once." He made a non committal noise and said he was just going to send a few emails. Pam watched him walk away. She knew he'd already started getting Sookie a driver. Its just how he was.

The next day Sookie was getting ready to meet Eric. She decided to bake some cookies to bring to him too. She put them all in a little basket and ran upstairs to get dressed. She put on a cute yellow sun dress with a full skirt and a sweetheart bodice. She also added little gold flats. She knew she was short, but wearing heels so much to not look so short next to Eric was wearing on her knees. She needed a break. She heard the door bell, grabbed her purse and he basket of cookies and went to open it.

"Hello Miss, I'm Niall. I'm here to drive you to see your husband." Sookie smiled and turned to lock the door.

"Okay, I'm ready to go." When they reached the car she didn't know what to do. Front seat, back seat. How was this done? Is it like a taxi? Niall seemed to understand her confusion and smiled at how precious and unlike most of the women he's driven before.

"Most people sit in the back, like a taxi. However, if you want you can sit in the front with me. Whatever makes you feel most comfortable."

"Ummm, I think ill sit in the front. I hate the idea of you feeling like a servant." He smiled and shook his head, opening the door for her. They started driving and Niall started to break the ice.

"So where are you from?"

"Louisiana."

"Oh what's nice, its a lovely state. My son Fintan lives there." He said. Sookie perked up.

"Oh, where abouts?' She said suddenly becoming extremely southern.

"Baton Rouge, I just visited a few months ago. It was lovely. Which part are you from?"

"Oh, a small town called Bon Temps. Its just south of shreveport."

"That's lovely, you're such a sweet girl. Whoever raised you did a great job."

"Oh, that was my Gran. She was a lovely lady thank you for seeing her reflected in me." She smiled softly. Suddenly realizing Gran had left parts of herself in Sookie and she loved the idea that she wasn't completely gone. They continued to drive in comfortable silence until Niall said.

"So you recently married ?"

"Oh yes, its very new. Just a few weeks." She blushed

"Ahhhh, newlyweds. Im so glad to see him happy. He's a kind man. I'm always happy to see good things happen to good people." Sookie was thoughtful for a moment and thought about all the people who said Eric was unique within Hollywood.

"People keep saying he's different for this environment." Niall nodded.

"He really is, he's nothing like his father. When he took over a lot changed. How people were treated, what was tolerated. It all changed." Sookie smiled.

"I love to hear that." They pulled up to the building and Niall reached and touched her arm as she went for the door and said.

"Ill come around and open your door for you. You should wait for someone to open your door. If you do it yourself it looks some sort of way." Sookie smiled

"Thank you, I'm just not used to this."

"Not a problem, I'm happy to help you. This is a whole new world for you. Im sure you've never used a private car service before either." She giggled

"I haven't." Niall came around and opened her door and helped her out.

"Have a nice lunch Mrs. Northman." She giggled again hearing someone call her Mrs. Northman. She entered the lobby not really knowing where to go. Last time she was here she was in shock and Amelia led her in. Suddenly, she saw the elevator open and there was Eric. He smiled wide and briskly walked towards her picking her up and giving her a spin before taking her hand.

"We just have to go up to my office for a few minuets. Then we can go." They were walking hand in hand into the elevators. Eric looked down at her and said "have some self control in here, Sookie. I know how you get in elevators." She turned red and quietly said.

"I baked you cookies." She didn't know what else to say. They both laughed as the doors opened to his floor. They walked across and Sookie took in all the cubicles and really had an opportunity to look at Erics office. The walls were all glass and they looked out at the entire floor of bustling workers. She waved at Amelia who was on the phone at her desk just outside of Erics office. He opened the door and let her in. She took a moment to look out and said.

"Don't you ever feel like you're in a fish tank in here, exposed?" He walked up and grabbed the chair from in front of his desk and pulled it next to his behind his desk and had her sit in it. She handed him the cookies and he took one.

"Mmmm, these are good. No, I don't. I actually want anyone who's in my office to know there is no visual privacy in here. This used to be my fathers office. The first thing I did was take out the walls, put up glass. There used to be a full bathroom with a shower in here too. I wanted to make it clear that I was not him and things wouldn't be the same now that I was here." Sookie gasped, understanding exactly what Eric was saying.

"So what are you doing?" She asked.

"Im finishing looking at this budget for an animated film we're doing. We're trying to. I'm almost done." He said reaching over and squeezing her hand. Sookie sat while he worked, not uncomfortable at all. She just pulled her legs up, not worrying about flashing the world because she was behind Erics desk and scrolled on her phone. Eric however couldn't stop glancing over. She may not have been flashing the world, but she was definitely flashing him. He smiled and risked reaching over and putting his hand on her thigh rubbing softly while he stared at his computer, clicking and scrolling. The move wasn't lost on Sookie, but she definitely liked it.

Just as Eric was closing out his computer and very apologetic looking Amelia ran in and said.

"Im so sorry, but she won't…" she couldn't finish before a tall thin red head shoved past her. Sookie had seen TMZ, she knew exactly who this was. It was Sophie Ann, the current 'it girl' who seemed to be in every movie coming and going these days. Eric sighed and sarcastically said.

"Thank you for completely ignoring my assistant. Barging in and disrespecting my time. I really love when you do that." She giggled and rolled her eyes.

"Don't be like that Eric. Come, I want lunch." She said like she was talking to a dog. Sookie really understood why this didn't work out.

"First, no. I don't want to eat or do anything else with you. Second, I already have plans with my wife. Sophie Ann, this is my wife Sookie Northman." Sookie knew exactly why he last named her, he was making it super clear she was his wife.

"How do you do?" Sookie asked extending her hand.

"Well aren't you sweet." Sophie said handing her limp fingers to Sookie.

"Not especially." She said with a smile. Eric gave a laugh and wrapped his arm around her before saying.

"Well, we really have to be going." Sophie looked back at Sookie who was now standing taking her in.

"I like your dress."

"Thank you." Sookie said.

"Where is it from?"

"Walmart." Sookie replied.

"How quaint." Sophie said with a mocking tone. Just as Eric was drawing in a breath to rip into Sophie, Sookie said.

"Do we have a problem, Ma'am?" She gasped.

"Ma'am, MA'AM? Im a bit young for Ma'am." Sookie shrugged.

"Hey, it that's what your age says fine, but I'm going based on looks." Eric snickered and put his hands on Sookies back and walked past Sophie who's mouth was hanging open absolutely seething. Eric loudly said so everyone could hear as we walked out.

"Amelia, get her out of my office. Call security if you need. Make sure security has her check in at the desk from now on. No more walking through for her." Amelia nodded and he guided Sookie to the elevator. As soon as the doors closed he was on her. He had picked her up to bring her to his height, he was kissing her furiously against the wall and breathlessly said.

"That was the hottest thing I've ever seen in my life." They were gripping all over each other as the elevator opened. He slowly put her down and smoothed her skirt. Not caring who saw anymore. Its his studio and as far as everyone working here is concerned this is his wife. Sookie caught her breath and said

"Well, she looks like a beat leather bag. I call em' like I see em'." Eric laughed and held her to him as they went to the valet where his corvette had already been pulled up. He got her door and walked around to get in. He took her hand and raised it to his lips to kiss.

"Where do you want to eat, Lover?" He purred at her. Oh, Sookie was in trouble and she liked it.
