Peppy could not believe his eyes, everyone he had thought was lost were standing right before him now? None of this made any sense since how could they be right in front of him now. How did they escape? Where have they been? How long have the Rock Trolls held them captive? "How are you here?" Peppy asked as he finally broke away from the hug looking his daughter in the eyes. "The Rock Trolls told us that they knew where you all were and would safely take up to you without the Bergans knowing but then they just trapped us in here and I thought that maybe they were lying but here you are." Viva explained. Peppy was furious about the trick the Queen Barb had played in the Putt Putt Trolls. "How did you all escape the Bergans on that day?" King peppy asked, drawing everyone else's attention to Viva and himself. Viva looked down at her feet, no longer able to look her father straight in the eye.

From behind the two royals Viva's second in command walked up and placed a comforting hand on Viva's shoulder. "When the tunnels collapsed Viva found the trapped trolls and led them to safety. We've been living in an abandoned Bergan Mini Golf course since then, your highness." Clay stated to the King. Viva did not see Poppy and feared the worst, not only that but she also knew that Clay would want to know something that she had been keeping secret for twenty years. "Sir, if I may ask. My name is Clay and I was wondering if you knew where my sister Branch is?" Viva let a tear escape that no one saw. "Clay there's something I haven't told you. That day in the tunnels. When I left to help the trapped trolls. Branch was by my side." Clay looked at Viva not understanding what she was trying to tell him or why she didn't tell him this before. "We were holding hands running together but then I let go of her and headed in a different direction. She tried to follow after me but the tunnel collapsed ontop of her. I'm sorry Clay, your sister's gone and it's my fault." Viva finished sobbing as she held herself.

Cay was devastated. He just got hope that his sister could in fact be alive but it was all for nothing. He then looked at Viva and understood the pain the secret had on her and understood. He walked to her and pulled her into a hug. Peppy however was taken back by what he had just heard. "Branch isn't dead." The King told his daughter. Her head snapped up to him. "What? But I saw." Viva stuttered trying to make sense of everything. "You saw that tunnel collapse but she was far enough away that she was left unsathed. She is alive right now and is with you sister Poppy and you new brother Cooper away from Queen Barb. Branch has done everything she could to try and keep Poppy safe in honor of you." Peppy told his beautiful child. Viva felt more joy in that moment than she had in her entire life. Branch and her sister were alive and safe and she has a new little brother too!

Peppy then turned to Clay. "She also has three little ones as well who we assumed she took with them to keep them safe. Honestly I am glad that they were nowhere near the village when Barb attacked." King Peppy explained. Clay took a moment to retain the information he was just given. He was an uncle? "What are their names?" He asked in a voice barely above a whisper. Peppy was taken back by it and it took him a moment to realize who he was talking about. "Her oldest is a five year old girl named Suki. She also has two little boys. Keith if two almost three and Gary just turned one." Viva could not believe that she was an aunt or that her best friend has kids now. "I hope we get to meet them, but we need to get out of this prison first." Viva said feeling braver now than she had in decades. "How are we going to do that?" Clay asked sincerly. The ship landed for the night so everyone could rest for the last two stops on the tour.

Once Branch had been pulled into the basket she freed herself from the rope and held her leg in pain. Poppy rushed over to Branch. "I am so sorry this happened, but hey I am glad you are here. We didn't want to do this alone." Branch looked around for some stings that might be in the balloon. "You might still be on your own. I think I sprained my ankle." Branch said as she found the supplies she needed. She placed two sticks on each side of her foot and wrapped them, she then did the same thing on her foot. "Well the map says that we are heading towards the Country Trolls in Lonesome Flatts so hopefully thye might be able to help us." Cooper said, trying to come up with a plan. "Sounds good, but Poppy no singing when we get there. We don't know how they might respond if we sing Pop in THEIR territory." Poppy growned but knew that Branch was right, but she was still going to try to show them they were all the same also.

"Did you hear something?" Poppy asked, having noticed a sound coming from above them. "Don't try to change the subject." Branch snapped back, annoyed as she was now forced to go along with Poppy's latest poorly thought through plan, but this time she was also injured. "I'm not, I really do hear something. I think it's coming from here." Poppy said as she pulled a latch. Once opened ten gallons of cotton candy poured out along with three little trollings who were not in trouble. "Suki, Keith, Gary. What are you three doing here?" Branch asked anxiously. Suki just giggled at her mama. "We heard Uncle Biggie say thay he stores his cotton candy in here." Branch made a noise that sounded like it was crossed with a sigh and a groan. Just because her children were now on this dangerous mission just because they were trying to sneak some extra treats. "Woah. We are really high up." Keith said as he climbed ontop of his Uncle to get a better view.

"What's going on? Were you leaving us?" Suki panicked. "We promise never to eat cotton candy again. Please stay mama!" Keith started to cry as he ran to his mother. Branch sat on the ground of the basket. "No. I didn't plan on leaving. The rope to the balloon caught on my leg kind of taking me with it." Suki looked down at her mom's busted leg. "I'm so sorry mama. Does it hurt?" She asked. Branch just smiled at her daughter and pulled her three kids into a hug. "Yes but tomorrow we are gonna find someone who might be able to help. But until then we all need to go to sleep." It was getting late and they all needed to get some sleep. They should reach Lonesome Flatts by morning if they didn't stop. The six trolls curled up into one another for warmth and all doozed off, each feeling a different emotion of what the next day would have in store for them.

When they woke they were now on the board of Lonesome Flatts, the Country Troll territory. Branch woke her three little ones up along with Poppy and Cooper and sat them all down before they would enter the town. "I need you five to listen up. We are entering a new strange town and we do not know how they will react to us. I need you to stay with me and not make any trouble. Do not be disrespectful to how they act, talk or make music, do you understand?" Branch said sternly. Suki nodded at her mother white, holding her brothers' hands. She knew her mom would be busy keeping track of their Aunt Poppy and Suki needed to make sure her brothers stayed with her. "Of course we will be on our best behaviors, Branch. We are visitors in someone else's home." Cooper said. Reassuring the older girl.

Poppy however was not paying any attention whatsoever to the conversation being had infront of her. She was too busy listening to the music the country trolls were making. "Awe, their music is so sad. No one told them that music is supposed to make you happy." Poppy said. Branch turned to Poppy and stopped her from entering the town. Branch heard the music. "Poppy parts of life aren't always happy. You know that. I kind of like it." Branch tried to explain to Poppy who still was not listening. "Poppy, don't forget their way isn't our way." Cooper said. "Do not do anything." Branch ordered. Poppy rolled her eyes but reluctantly listened. "Ok. I won't do anything. I promise." With that Branch reluctantly let them all into Lonesome Flatts where they were met with some strange greetings.

"Look here pop trolls I do not know what you are up to but you best on leave. We do not approve of mixed race trolls." A grumpy man by the name of Growly Pete said. "Excuse me, what are you talking about?" Branch asked a little defensively. They had not even made it to the middle of town, nor had they actually done anything to warrant them to be offended but they were being extremely rude. "Those kids. Any troll with self respecting troll would know not to be parading around mixed raced trolls like them anywhere. They are a disgrace to troll kind everywhere you should be ashamed of yourselves." Branch saw red. She looked back at her kids and the look of shame on themselves was clear. "They are children. You are a grown man. Who are you to shame them for what they look like? We may not know much about different genres of trolls and right now I do not care to, but you do not get to shame my kids for what they look like or what they may be. Do you understand me?" Branch said angrily.

At this point they had drawn the attention of the entire town. "What may I ask is going on here?" A centar troll woman said as she raced in to stop the commission they had started. The woman looked at the stranger who had entered their town. Then she looked at the dull woman comforting the three strange looking kids. Another girl came towards them with bright teal hair and saw the kids immediately. "Who might y'all be?" She asked with a gentle voice as she knelt down to the kids. The kids were frightened and hiding behind the dull woman who looked at her as a protective mother would. "My name is Holly and this is my mama Miss Delta Dawn. She runs things here." Suki poked her head out from behind her mom. "Excuse me. We are so sorry. We were just walking into town when one of your trolls started insulting my niece and nephews." Poppy said sternly. Not like at all at how her family was being treated.

Delta was upset by this. "Who might you all be?" She looked at Poppy with an intense look that said that she was not here to mess around. "I am Queen Poppy. This is my brother Cooper and this is my sister Branch with her three kids. Suki, Keith, and Gary. We did not mean to cause trouble. I almost did but then was reminded that this is your home not ours. We need to be respectful and that's all we were trying to be but we are unsure what it was that we did to do otherwise." Poppy explained. She saw how rude some of these trolls were at just the sight of something different. She did not want to know what would have happened if they offended them with their music. Delta let out a sigh as she looked at the odd looking kids and then at how the people in her town were giving them dirty looks. "How about we speak in private. "Perfect idea." Branch said, grabbing her kids with the help of Cooper. The seven of them headed to the Saloon and Delta had the place cleared out for them to have thier talk.

"Miss Delta. Why did that man say we were mixed trolls and we were a dismaced?" Keith asked with tears in his eyes. "She said we were a disgrace Keith." Suki said, looking at the ground. "You are not. None of you are. He was out of line.' Branch said, reassuring her kids. Gary still didn't want to make his way away from Cooper or Branch. "What do y'all know about your history?" Delta asked, annoyed. "Not much." Poppy said, a little ashamed. "That's not entirely your fault Poppy, most of our history was lost a long time ago." Branch said, catching Delta's attention. Holly looked at her mother. "What do y'all mean by that?" Holly asked nervously. "It doesn't matter right now. Why did they say that about my kids?" Branch asked sternly. "Well they are trolls born of two different genres and typically that is frowned upon. Now my question is how do you have three kids and a funk troll in your family and not know any of this?" Delta asked rudely not entirely believing the lost history story.

Cooper was the one to speak up. "My egg was found by King Peppy at the time and he took me in. Adopted me. We live hidden in the forest and this is the first time any troll made their way out this way in twenty years. Branch had found and taken in three abandoned eggs that she had found while checking the security around our home and taken each egg in. We were all adopted. Never knowing where exactly we came from. Branch helped King Peppy take care of Poppy and I. We are the closest thing she has to a family." Cooper explained. Delta did not like what she was hearing. She almost believed it. She wanted to, but she just could not believe that Pop Trolls would have changed that much.

"I truly am sorry about how you were greeted by Growly Pete when you first arrived, but with the separation of genres trolls just dont really mix. It's typically seen as frowned upon." Holly explained. Poppy could not believe she was hearing this? "I don't know why we even bothered coming out here." Branch said wanting to cry and hold her kids close. She had been abandoned as a child and judged most of her life. She still never understood how people could be so cruel to children. "I'm sorry for bothering you, we will leave." Poppy wanted to fight but she was not going to let her niece and nephews endure this. "If I may ask why did y'all come this way?" Delta asked curiously. "We got this invite from Queen Barb of the Rock Trolls and we just learned about the different trolls and wanted to learn more. Then Branch injured her ankle and we were hoing for some help." Poppy explained.

As the small group was about to make their way out of the Saloon a little centar troll ran into the place yelling. "Aunt Delta!" The older woman could not help but chuckle to herself. "Hey Clampers. Where is your daddy?" Just as she said that a centar troll with yellow skin and red hair came bursting through. Clampers had run over Branch and had fallin over. The male Centar troll came rushing to her and helped her up only to see her busted ankle. When Branch looked up at him she blushed a little before shaking it off. Little did she know that the mystery troll was doing the same. Holly also seemed to be the only one to see this. "This is my Uncle Hickory and his daughter Clampers. Uncle Hick this is Branch and her kids Suki, Keith, and Gary." Holly said. She loved her uncle and she misses her aunt whic was the sister to her mother. Her Aunt Dixie died while laying Clamper's egg. Delta was polite and friendly towards her late siter's husband and she loves her niece, but the moment she saw that some other troll had finally caught the attention of his heart, she felt sad. Like he was now forgetting her sister.

"This is Queen Poppy and her brother Prince Cooper. Of the Pop Trolls they all were just leaving." Delta said firmly. "But what about Branch's ankle?" Poppy asked but was ignored. Cooper just had Branch get on his back to carry her like he had before when they entered the town. Delta however didnot listen to the pink troll's pleas. Ushering them all out of the Saloon and out of Lonesome Flatts. Hickory grabbed Clampers and looked at his niece Holly. "You like her." Holly whispered. "Stop. Please." Hickory quietly begged. "Come on, it's been four years since Aunt Dixie passed. We all miss and love her but she would also want you to be happy. At least join them in the very least, Clampers might make some friends." Holly argued. Hickory with his daughter in hand made his way towards Delta and the strange group of trolls. He knew what he had to do. He walked up with his daughter on his back and looked at Delta. "I can take it from here. Make sure they don't cause any more trouble." Delta was annoyed at this, but kept her mouth shut. "Fine. They are your problem now." With that Delta headed back into town. "Names Hickory and this is Clampers. Like Holly said. So where are y'all headed exactly?"

"We are not exactly sure." Poppy said nervously. "Do you know what trolls look like me?" Cooper curiously. "Actually I do. They are called Funk Trolls and they live in Vibe City. Sadly they live on a flying ship and move around a lot but I do know that they stop at a place in Vacay Island." Hickory said as he headed towards a pile of driftwood. "Ok, sounds like we need to make a rift." Poppy said excitingly. "Poppy, we don't know him, how do you know we can trust him?" Branch said, eyeing him a bit. "Well your leg is still hurt and he seems to know where we need to go." Poppy explained. Branch just groaned. "Fine. Let's just build the raft. I highly doubt he even knows how to." Branch then looked at this masterpiece of a raft. "Y'all ready? Here let me help you mame." He said as he offered to help Branch onto the raft. Poppy and Cooper were giving one another knowing looks. It was very uncommon for Branch to be receiving this kind of attention and they were so happy for her that someone was seeing just how special they knew that she is. When they all were safely on the raft and everyone had their life vests on they headed out towards Vacay Island.

Once the strangers were gone Delta was sitting next to her daughter in the Saloon once more. "We should have helped them." Holly said to her mother. Delta kept silent. Deep in thought. Holly knew what her mother was thinking. "Just because he finds love again does not mean he is gonna forget her. I also doubt Branch woud be the kind of girl that would let him." Holly said, trying to reassure her mom. "I know. Just it's hard to think of someone else raising Dixie's daughter." Holly just pulled her mom in closer. Their conversation ended because they heard a huge crash. The two hurried outside to see the Rock Trolls wrecking their home. Delta then remembered the invitation Queen Poppy mentioned. She was telling the truth about that at least. The Country Trolls fought back but it was no use. They were quickly overpowered and led into the jail cells. Delta saw that it was barely filled with Pop Trolls, she kept her mouth shut back there were more important things on her mind other than why were there only a bit of the pop troll population here. Barb then walked in with this glowing orange string. Delta's heart dropped. The Country String. She couldn't say anything as she watched Barb add this string to her guitar and it turned a horrifying red. All she could think was that she should have listened to those Pop Trolls.

Barb saw that the jail cells were filling up. "We need to head back to Volcano City and make another drop off. Then we get our final two strings. The Funk String and the Pop String. Let's go." The captive trolls heard Barb order. Delta felt numb. Their music was going to be destroyed. She was only snapped out of her thoughts by Growly Pete. "So your string is with the rest of your population?" He said nastily. Delta turned to see King Peppy. "No, this is our whole population minus a handful who had managed to avoid capture so far." King Peppy said. Delta looked at the former Pop King carefully. He looked almost hollow. Nt at all what she would have expected from the Pop Trolls. "Daddy. They are gonna be ok. I hope it. That's enough for me." Viva said, hugging her father. "What happened to you?" Delta accidently spoke her thoughts. Peppy looked at her. "I'll tell you. All of you once we land once more. It is something that the other tribes will need to learn." Peppy said solemnly to the Country leader.

It did not take them long to reach the Volcanco City and into the arena cage that the Techno Trolls and the Classical Trolls were being kept in. When the tribes saw the small size of the Pop Trolls questions started to fly. "King Peppy, do the rest of your people know what is going on, are they able to help?" King Trollex asked. He did not have an issue with other trolls. At least not much of one, but he did get annoyed when they disrespect his music. "This is it, my poor boy. I'm afraid we are not as big as we used to be though this is the biggest it has been in two decades." King Peppy said having trouble walking. Viva helped her father. All the trolls looked at the former Pop King. He slowly made his way to the middle of the audence. He finally had a chance to sit down and rest. "Dad, take it easy." Viva begged. He just looked at his oldest. "I'll be fine, my sweet girl. Just tired." Peppy said, catching his breath.

No one knew what to think. They had all feared the Pop Trolls growing up as these invaders, but now it was disturbing at how weak they seemed. "King Peppy, I will ask you once more. What happened to you?" Delta said her voice booming over the captured trolls. "It is not a story for the faint of heart and most of our history was lost so I can only tell you what my father told me." King Peppy said, starting to feel his age for the first time. His connection with the Pop String was weakening and he wasn't dying. He just couldn't dance like he could when he was younger. He took a couple of deep breaths before signaling for the trolls. All of the trolls sat down, so he could tell the terrible tale of the Bergans. "My great grandfather was a young boy. He was told that the different genres could not live in harmony and we all agreed to go our separate ways. When he got older he became king and had my grandfather who grew up and began king himself. It was under his reign that the Pop Trolls were discovered by creatures called the Bergans." King Peppy was interrupted by shrieks of the Putt Putt Trolls who still had trauma from them. "We have made peace with them now, but at that time they had found that by eating a troll they could become happy." It was time for the other tribes to gasp, but dared not speak.

Peppy began to speak again. "They were these terribly unhappy creatures who never knew happiness until they found use. Our population took a toll. I learned all of this from my father before he died. I knew that our history could very well be warped and was very hazitant of tell Poppy all of this. I know she needs to know that history. But I want to make sure I am teaching her the right history. In the end I had to tell her what I was taught. We had escaped twenty years ago and lost a third of our population duringit. That was until a few days ago. Barb may not be right in what she is doing, but I owe her for bringing my oldest daughter back to me alive." King Peppy said, caressing her face. King Peppy did not go into details because there were so many children present and they did not need to hear all of this at their ages. He then looked around at the other tribes. Tears falling from their eyes. No one knew what to say. How could anyone go through what they did? How did none of them know? It dawned to Snythx that no one knew of this was because they all had avoided the Pop Trolls like a plague and now they all saw that maybe that was a mistake.

Delta felt terrible for how she treated those trolls but was happy that none of those kids were caught up in this. She slowly walked up to King Peppy taking off her hat in respect. "If you would like, we could help with some of the lost history. I know we can't help with what happened after the Bergans found you, but we can help with what happened before that." She could see the sincere look of appreciation in his eyes. "Thank you. I do have a feeling that Pop Trolls don't come out of this in a good light. The story I was told never made sense to me." King Peppy said. Delta felt her heart tighten. "No you don't, but from what I have seen. You Pop Trolls have changed for the better and become one of the strongest here." Delta said, trying to reassure the older King who just looked down with tears in his eyes. Viva just hugged her father and looked up at Delta mouthing the words thank you to her. "I didn'y mean to upset you." Delta said, unsure if she should go on. "It's not you. I have not been the best king I could have been." This time a gold glitter troll placed his hand on the man's shoulder. "Peppy you did the best you could. You freed us and even if we got separated you raised Viva and Poppy to lead when you couldn't." Peppy held the other man's hand. "I failed Branch so much though. She needed me and it is because of her that we changed for the better. Into more understanding trolls." Sky Toronto just hugged the man with the usual stern expression still on his face.

"If I know anything about that girl. She is doing what she can to help us along with helping Poppy." Guy Diamond said as he and the Snack Pack joined around their king. Ski Toronto then leaned in to whisper into King Peppy's ear. "We raised a pretty strong girl." King Peppy blushed at this and gave Sky Toronto a small smile. Viva saw the interaction between the two men and with the help from her husband he helped her except that her dad might be starting a new romantic journey. She wasn't happy with it but she was happy that her dad wasn't alone anymore. No one knows what to do. They were all terrified. They were on the verge of losing their music and who knows what Barb planned to do to them after that.

I know we are going a little fast and I really hope that my writing is not choppy. I honestly did not realize that the dialoge and the songs played a giant bulk of the transcript. I really hope ethat y'all have enjoyed reading this chapter and have enjoyed seeing the changes I have made from the original movie. I thought it would be fun to hear more about the attack each tribe took. I also meant for more Hickory X Branch in this chapter since he was finally introduced, but I felt there should be more of a build up for that and also the other trolls I felt took more place in this chapter. I think I can finish this second movie up in one more chapter before doing a proceeding chapter to talk about what will be going on between the second and third movie. Also keep in mind that part of the reason this story might feel shorter than my last one is because in each chapter of Unexpected Love there were roughly 3,000 words in each chapter give or take a hundred. In this story there are almost twice as many words in each chapter. Like I said, almost each chapter is roughly 5,000 words. It took about ten chapters or so to tell the story of the first movie and if we do the word count math right now from chapter ten to nineteen from Unexpected Love and the Chapters posted in from this story we are about the same. Yay. Got a little bored typing this part of the chapter, sorry. Anyway that's all for now. I really do hope Y'al enoyed reading this chapter and stay tuned for the next one. Until the next time. Bye-bye for now my little Bookworms.
