A few months have passed and Will was getting ready to go on stage with Rachel and Kurt. Blaine walked after them.

In a flashback, Lillian Adler said, "Welcome to Nationals. I want you all to remember something. Glee is not about competition. It's about opening yourself up to joy."

Onstage, Jane and Mason held hands and the announcer said, "Twenty of the best show choirs. In third place, the Harmony Busters. And now, the first place 2015 Nationals Championship is...the New Directions."

Everyone clapped and cheered. They all hugged.

In Will's office, Harris said, "The Board has decided to make McKinley a performing arts school."

Will asked, "What happened?"

"To be honest, Will, you happened. I'm making you principal."

Will was stunned. "Superintendent Harris, that is incredible news."

"Congratulations."

Rachel got a phone call. "Hello? Oh, hi, Jack. How's Shelby? Wait, wait, is she…right now? When did this start happening? Oh, okay! I'm on my way!" She was shocked right after. Kurt walked out and said, "Rachel, what is it?"

"That was Jack on the phone. Shelby's in labor!"

"What?!"

"Come on, R&B," Claire said, "your sister's having a baby!"

They made it to the New York hospital in time. Shelby was screaming on a gurney. Jack was wearing scrubs and a mask. He said, "You're doing great."

Shelby groaned. "I'm really glad you're here for this."

"I wouldn't miss it for anything."

"I have to tell you something. Do you remember the day we got married?"

"How could I forget? It was the best decision I ever made."

"I waited until the last minute to put on a dress."

Jack chuckled, "What?"

"Yeah. I didn't want to risk it. You were always so much smarter than me. And I didn't want to be stupid enough to ruin the first real relationship I've ever had. I was just so afraid of losing you."

"You're never gonna lose me. We did everything right, everything we were supposed to do."

"And now I'm gonna be a mom."

"And I'm gonna be a dad. Thank you for taking a chance on me, Shelby."

"Thank you for marrying me, Jack."

Rachel ran in.

"Rachel?!" Shelby said happily.

"Shelby," Rachel ran to her and hugged her.

Shelby kissed her cheek and told her, "I'm really glad you're here."

To which Rachel replied, "Like I was gonna miss this. Jack." They hug. "Wow. Did your hair get longer? You look like a mountain man."

"Heh."

Rachel giggled and he kissed her cheek.

A few hours later, Dennis said, "I still can't get over the fact that Kyra shows up two years ago."

Cathy said, "I think I'm gonna faint."

Kurt said, "She did." Rachel glared at him.

After a couple minutes, a baby started crying.

Anne Marie started, "It's a boy."

Claire said, "Rachel, are you ready to meet your nephew?"

Rachel beamed. Anne Marie held him in a blanket and handed him over to Shelby, who said, "Oh, my God. Hi, baby. It's Mommy."

Jack put his mask down and said, "Hey, buddy."

Rachel walked in. "Oh, my goodness. He's the spitting image of his dad."

Kurt ran in. He asked, "What's his name?"

Ian said, "Well, Rachel, you're the aunt. What do you think?"

Rachel smiled, "William Corcoran Masterson. Billy."

Shelby smiled. Cathy smiled, "Lovely idea."

Dennis said, "Couldn't have picked a better one."

Outside, a few days later, Shelby, Jack and Billy were all set to take a photo. Rachel clicked the camera. "There," she said.

Shelby said, "Well, there is one thing wrong with this picture, Rachel."

"Oh, no. What's that?"

"You're not in it."

Rachel was touched. Claire took the picture and said, "The Berry-Corcoran-Masterson clan. Now, that's what I call picture perfect."

Henry said, "One big happy family."

Anne Marie said, "Do we really want a kid with a name like Corcoran Masterson? The kid's gonna sound like a law firm."

Ian said, "We could combine the last names."

Rachel said, "Are you telling me I'm gonna have a nephew named Corcoran-son?"

Claire held Billy gently.

Rachel said, "Well, we've come far."

Shelby said, "Well, we have. All my dreams came true. I got to meet you. I got to land the role of a lifetime. And I have the most important guy in the world. I always thought Broadway was my one true love, but it turns out, it wasn't. Now I have two beautiful men in my life. For what it's worth, I'm glad he met you first. But I thought you only dated him to make me suffer."

"Well, making you suffer would've been a bonus. No regrets, right?"

"Not one."

"So the drama series is back on? What's it gonna be called anyway?"

"No idea. But I look forward to finding out. What is it?"

"I just don't know what I'm gonna do without you anymore. You know, you're not just my sister. You're my rock. I love you, Shelby."

They hugged. "I love you, too."

Jack said, "Anyway, we'd better get going if we don't want to hit traffic."

Rachel asked, "Why the hurry?"

"Let's just say they offered me the deal of a lifetime. They want me to be a glee club coach in LA."

Shelby laughed, "What?!"

Rachel said, "You're not serious!"

Jack said, "Well, looks like we'll be busy."

"But who's gonna look after your son?"

Anne Marie said, "We could look after him for you."

Ian said, "Yeah, why not? We'll have nothing else to do and you guys can let us do it for free."

Shelby said, "Anne, Ian, I don't know what to say."

They hugged.

Claire said, "Well, I'd better give him back to you before he…"

Billy spit up.

"...does that."

Shelby smiled. Rachel covered her mouth.

Henry said, "Here, I'll help clean that up.

Rachel and Shelby hugged again. Jack hugged them.

Three months later, it was September and Will was getting his lunch ready by Emma. "I'm so proud of you, Will. You made it all this way without losing your integrity."

"Can I be honest with you about something? I'm scared to death."

"Will, you're the most talented man in Ohio. I'm not saying that it's gonna be easy, but now's our time for us to relax, have fun and be in love, right? And if we don't like something, we can fix it."

"I love you so much."

"I love you."

They kiss.

Will said to their son, Daniel, "Dreams really do come true, Danny."

In the choir room, everyone clapped and cheered. Claire had longer hair and Anne Marie cut hers.

Will said, "New Directions won't be the only glee club. There will also be the Trouble-Tones and the Duly Noted, just to name a few."

Claire said, "Is there room for one more club, Mr. Shue?"

"Claire? You're thinking about bringing back Treble Base?"

"Let's just say I made a deal with Superintendent Harris and Celine Dion a while back." She pulled out a lanyard. "Now I'm the coach of Treble Base."

Sue smiled, "It's gonna be a real honor having to fight against you, Claire."

Anne Marie hugged Claire.

Mercedes said, "Well, that great, Mr. Shue, but how are you gonna coach the other glee clubs?"

Will said, "I'm not coaching any of them"

Artie asked, "Not even the New Directions?"

"We created so much in this room."

One day, Sam was pumping footballs.

Blaine walked in and said, "Hey, what are you doing?"

"Just a little inventory. The footballs are useless unless we get them to 12.5."

"Well, listen, since you're gonna be unemployed soon, maybe you could consider moving back to New York."

"No, I told you this before. It's not my speed. It's too fast, too loud, I like the Mets, not the Yankees."

"Kurt and I are really happy. We see Rachel, Mercedes, Kitty. Claire, Henry, but I really miss my best friend."

"I miss you, too, man. But this is home. I am genuinely happy here. And I'm gonna use my talent for my new job."

"What new job?"

In the choir room, Will said, "Congratulations. You are this year's New Directions."

Everyone clapped.

"Now, please welcome your new teacher, Sam Evans."

Blaine said, "What? No, you're taking over the glee club?"

Will game Sam a marker. "I could not be prouder to pass off the baton to you."

Sam said, "Alright, alright, alright. Today's lesson is...country!"

"Oh, no,"

Blaine said, "Let's see where this goes."

Sam said, "Country is the hardship of a rural life. Now, if we want to be great, we need to sing about hurt and make it our own."

Spencer said, "Let's do My Tractor's Sexy!" The others seemed to really go for it. They clapped.

Blaine said, "Looks like we're where we belong."

Will said, "Wouldn't have it any other way."

Becky said, "I was coming to see you!"

Sue said, "I was coming to see you, too!"

They ran to each other in slow-motion and then hugged.

"Coach, I'm sorry I said all those terrible things to Geraldo."

"Oh, honey, I'm the one who's sorry. I should've treated you like a paid intern." She kisses her forehead.

In the auditorium, the next day, Artie rolled in with the others.

Mercedes said, "I am officially the opening act for Beyonce."

They clapped.

"Ever since I came back here, I remember walking down these halls thinking about how I used to feel. Having you guys as friends really changed me. I won't be seeing you guys for a while. So I'm gonna say goodbye with a song, and I think we have enough group hugs to last us a lifetime." She was singing "Someday We'll Be Together."

Artie said, "Mercedes Jones has left the building."

Rachel and Kurt hugged.

Rachel sang with Claire and Anne Marie. "There's No Place Like Us." The Cheetah Girls.

Claire said, "I want to thank you all for taking a chance on me five years ago. I was a kooky kid with crazy ideas. Now I'm a kooky adult and you've all accepted me and my quirks."

Rachel said, "Claire, I'm gonna miss you."

"Me too, Rachel. No matter what anyone says, you'll always be a star to me." They hug.

"Anne." They hug.

In the hallway, Kurt opened his locker to show Blaine his mementos.

Blaine chuckled.

"Why are you crying and laughing at the same time?"

"Because you're the only person I know that would do something like this. I love you so much."

"I love you, too."

Rachel sang in Ohio while Shelby was singing in LA.

Rachel opened her door one day and saw a woman standing there. "Hi, can I help you?"

"I should hope so. I'm Amber Corcoran. Your sister's mother."

"Mom?"

"It's good to finally meet you, Rachel."

"Well, you have some nerve showing up here."

"I haven't always been the most supportive woman, but if it's not too late, I'd like to support you now."

"Like you supported Shelby?"

"I was hard. I wasn't a good mother, I know. But I gave you up to your dads so I wouldn't screw up raising you like I did your sister."

"Shelby is amazing. Even without a mother, she is more of a woman than you."

"I know. I hate myself for it. But I always knew she would get back on her feet. And look how well you turned out."

"Well, since you came all this way, you should know that your daughter is very successful now. And the best damn mentor I've ever had."

Amber nodded.

Five years later, Donald Trump has been president for four years and now Sue is in the running with Jeb Bush vs Joe Biden.

Kurt and Blaine were also teaching a kindergarten class.

Claire had her original hair length back. She looked in a mirror and a surprise visitor came by with flowers.

Henry said, "Hi there."

"Henry." They kissed. "Five years of coaching Treble Base and I still don't know what songs to use. Where were these songs when we were in high school?"

"Well, knowing you, you'll never back down, and you have the best taste in music."

"You think?"

Henry got down on one knee. He opened a navy blue ring box and revealed a diamond.

Claire smiled.

"I know it's not the most romantic setting, but...Claire, you always took me by surprise. I've been learning so much from you ever since the day we joined McKinley and the New Directions. I wouldn't trade my time with you for anything else. You make me whole again. Claire Thomas, will you marry me?"

Claire kisses him. "You can consider that a yes."

Henry was so happy. He put the ring on her finger. They kissed again.

Shelby was just about wrapping up her final season of Black Riders in LA.

Her character's partner said, "Tell me you love me, Cassie."

"Always," she said, then kissed him.

JJ Abrams said, "And cut. That's a wrap." The bell rang. "Shelby, you want to come to the party with us."

"I'd love to, JJ, but I have to get home. There are two people in New York waiting for me."

In the loft, a five-year-old Billy ran to her. "Mommy!"

"Hey, honey." She picked him up. "Oh, that's my sweet little boy." She kissed his cheek. "Where's Daddy?"

"He's under the kitchen sink again."

Shelby chuckled. "Honey, come on, we don't want to miss Rachel's big night. You're coming with us."

Outside, cars came by. Blaine said, "Did you hear about, Sam? He has a new girlfriend."

Mercedes asked, "Then why has he been texting me?"

Artie and Tina kiss.

Inside, Rachel was pregnant and she was greeted.

Kurt said, "It's time. No, don't strain yourself."

"This baby's had my body for nine months, and as soon as it's born, Mama wants it back."

Tina aid, "What made you say yes to being their surrogate? I want to hear your side."

"Well, there's a full circle to how I was raised, but you guys are gonna be the most amazing dads." They hugged.

Jesse said, "I can't wait for that."

"Oh, here's my husband." They kiss. "So romantic."

"Come on, we're gonna be late."

At the Tony Awards, Rachel and Jesse were walking in the theater.

"Aunt Rachel!" Billy said.

Rachel beamed, "Hey, little guy!" She picked him up and hugged him. "Oh!" She kissed his cheek. "Oh, man, you're getting big."

Shelby smiled at Jesse, "Welcome to the family, Jesse. But if you ever do anything to hurt my little sister, I will kill you."

"Understood," Jesse said.

Rachel and Shelby hugged tightly. "Shelby! Oh, I'm so glad you're all here."

Shelby smiled and said, "I wouldn't have missed this for the world." She sighed. "Rachel, I am so proud of you. And I know that Finn would be, too. I look a little older now, though, don't I?"

Rachel and Jesse said, "No."

"You still look the same to me," a familiar voice told her. Jack had cut his hair back to his original length with a few silver parts, even on his full beard.

Rachel said, "Hey!" They hugged.

Anne Marie, with her hair grown back, and Ian, with a few gray highlights, were walking together with their daughter, Beth Rivers.

Claire and Henry were also walking together, holding hands.

Anne Marie said, "Far out! The whole gang's back together!"

Shelby said, "Claire, Anne! Look at you!" They all hug.

Rachel said, "Oh, my God, Claire!" She noticed the ring.

Claire said, "Pretty grand, eh? Come on, we have so much to catch up on. This one can come along, too."

Anne said, "Well, we love children."

Shelby said, "You know, Rachel, as a former Tony winner, I'm gonna have to give you some pointers."

Rachel said, "I'm not gonna win."

Jesse said, "Yes, you are."

An older gentleman walked to Shelby. "She a friend of yours?"

"My sister. She's one of my best friends. Do I know you?"

"No, but I knew about your father. Walter, wasn't it? Nice man. Very careful."

"You knew our dad?"

"I know some things here and there. This place always feels like a home to me. Well, nice talking to you, Mrs…"

"Shelby Corcoran. Or Shelby Masterson. You can call me either." They shake hands.

"Those are good names. Your mother is so very proud of you." He walks away.

"Wait, what?"

Applause. Will and Emma's kids were running around in the living room.

Andrew Rannells said, "The nominees for Best Actress in a Musical are…Maggie Smith, Willow Smith, Anne Hathaway, and Rachel Berry. And the Tony goes to…Rachel Berry!"

Applause and cheering.

Rachel got up to accept the award. "Thank you! First, I'd like to thank my husband and director, Jesse. Thank you to my two dads. Thank you to my sister, Shelby Corcoran, my brother-in-law, Jack Masterson, and my little nephew Billy. I want to thank all my friends at McKinley. Most of all, thank you to Will Schuster. Being part of something special does make you special, but something is special because you are part of it. And one more thing before I have to get off the stage, dreams really do come true."

Applause and cheering.

Jack stood by the coffee maker in the teachers' lounge and Shelby stood in the doorway. She walked towards him and said, "You must be the new guy."

"How could you tell?"

"Just a guess. From the way you were staring at that. Hi. Shelby Corcoran."

"Jack Masterson." They shake hands.

"I hope you don't mind me staring, but you're really cute."

"You're not so bad yourself. Maybe I could take you out to dinner sometime."

"I'd like that," she smiled, "very much."

"Do you ever…wonder, Shelby, what our lives would've been like if that was how we met?"

Shelby smiled, "I wouldn't change a thing, Jack. You, Rachel, and Bill are my whole world. You're my life, my family, and my home."

Jack smiled, "I love you."

Shelby replied, "I've loved you from the moment that I saw you."

They kissed passionately.

Anne Marie said, "Looks like it's just us now, right?"

Ian said, "It will never be just us."

"Beth, the New Directions, Claire and Henry...this is our life. It's our home."

"I love you, Anne Marie."

"I love you, Ian Rivers."

They kiss.

In the auditorium, Beiste was gathered with Burt, Carole and even Figgins. Terri was there, too. Sue said, "You know, a woman once stood here and told a bunch of disco teenagers that glee by definition was opening up to joy. See the world as it should be, not as it is. A world where a high school quarterback becomes friends with a gay kid. A girl with a nose ends up on Broadway. A world where a kid with some glasses can make a name for herself. A boy in a wheelchair has vision. An Asian goth can fake a stutter. Another Asian who can dance. A diva who can belt out even the hardest notes. A world where a homeless person can make something of himself. When two Cheerios fall in love against all odds. Two lost souls who are broken but still find each other. A world where two people who are the closest of friend can have an unbreakable bond. And a former coach of a glee club can have it all. I am renaming this place the Finn Hudson Auditorium."

Applause.

"William, it is with your hard work and bravery that you managed something unimaginable. McKinley High for the Performing Arts is a major success. Congratulations, Will Schuster. And now, the New Directions."

And so, they all gathered together to sing one final song together. "I Lived" by One Republic with a touch of Cheetah Girls' "One World." And the world was happy. Will was the first to start. Sam continued with him. Artie and Tina joined in, followed by Rachel, Kurt and Blaine. Jesse was also there. Mercedes and Kitty also joined in. Jake and Ryder reappeared with Sugar and Joe. Unique was also there. Mike and Matt locked legs and danced.

Brittany and Santana walked downstairs. Quinn and Puck were also there with Karofsky and Lauren. Sebastian and Marley appeared too. Jane, Mason, Madison, Spencer and Roderick got up, too. Alistair, Myron, Sue and Becky joined in.

Claire, Henry, Anne Marie and Ian got up, too. Followed by Shelby, Jack, and all the others, too. Austin, Ann and JJ were the last ones to show up.

Will and Terri hugged. Emma was stunned.

Claire hugged Anne Marie, Ian and then Henry. Rachel and Shelby hugged.

Everyone laughed and clapped, followed by more cheering.
