Author's Notes:
Welcome to another addendum! I've completed this one with The Peacekeeper and the third story. Though this one gets dark, fair warning here.
But hope you all enjoy this one regardless.
Earth-012804: Gardenia
For The Trix; Icy, Stormy and Darcy, it had been two months since the defeat of Valtor. And Icy still had not found a way to transform her sister Sapphire back into her normal self after she was turned into a fox despite Icy's vow to restore her.
The Trix ultimately took refuge around Earth, at least incognito where nobody could know who they were. But their peace did not last long as they endured the snap themselves.
To their shock, they had seen people disappearing into ash. As did Stormy much to their horror. Stormy did not even get a chance to scream as she turned to ash. Even Icy feared the worst as she made a hasty return to Dyomond to find her sister.
To her despair, she found no trace. Icy feared the worst. She had searched all over and no trace of her sister whatsoever.
The remaining Trix retreated back to Earth, feeling defeated. But only for a day as suddenly, Stormy was returned to life. An experience she admitted was not pleasant.
The two sisters were uncharacteristically overjoyed to see the return of Stormy, who admitted through and through she was horribly confused as to what had happened to her.
Icy and Darcy expressed an equal amount of confusion at the events that transpired earlier. All the while unknowingly, they were being watched from afar by a woman who eyed at them whilst reading a newspaper. As she peered through one eye, as she folded the tip of a newspaper, she stared at the trio with interest before restoring the corner back to its natural state.
The Trix conversed at a nearby Cafe to rest for a while but as they sat at a table, they noticed a letter on the table even before they sat down. As if someone placed it there knowing they were going to sit at that table.
Darcy picked up the letter and read aloud, "If you want answers and a new purpose in life, come to this address..."
As they read the address, the Trix glanced at each other in utter confusion.
Later that day...
The Trix soon arrived at an abandoned warehouse in a downtown area.
"You sure this the place?" Icy asked Darcy.
"That's what the letter said!" Darcy replied. "Blame the moron who wanted to meet us here."
"It's a dump, that's what it is." Stormy rolled her eyes.
"If we're going to get answers, might as well get in." Icy said as she marched down to the entrance.
Stormy glanced at Darcy, who could only reply with a shrug and joined Icy.
Icy slammed both doors open and her eyes darted back and forth as she examined the cold and empty place. It was silent save for the earlier loud moment of the doors slamming open.
All she, along with Stormy and Darcy, could see were the cold, dark, empty areas. Dilapidated and barren with tons of graffiti on the walls and discarded items on the floor.
"You'll have to come closer."
The trio were startled and jumped at someone's voice echoing loudly.
"I'm not going to bite, you know." The voice said, sounding slightly annoyed.
The Trix were able to at least make out the voice belonging to an older woman with a British accent.
With a sigh from all three girls, they marched on to find their mysterious benefactor.
The warehouse was large and full of empty space. It was not until they walked further into the warehouse they spotted an outlier that stood out. The sunlight from the window shone on a lone figure sitting.
They spotted a woman sitting near a table drinking tea. She wore a black suit, trimmed in a purple cut with black heeled boots, matching gloves and a fancy black dress hat. Complete with an umbrella, she more or less resembled an evil version of Mary Poppins. Along with a bit of a resemblance to how Audrey Hepburn looked in My Fair Lady.
"You've got to be kidding!" Stormy groaned.
"She better be!" Icy said in an irritable manner.
The woman had her eyes closed as she sipped her tea. But she soon felt the table shake a bit.
Unfazed, the woman opened her eyes and saw young older teen girls with a variety of different hair colors in front of her. The girl in silver blue hair had slammed her hands on the table. With the other two standing beside her.
The woman's face was calm and neutral.
"Well, about time you showed up." She said before she checked her pocket watch. "Twenty minutes, no less. But there was traffic no doubt."
"Cut the games, who are you?" Icy demanded.
"I'm the moron who sent the letter." The woman replied in a deadpan snarky manner as she rolled her eyes. "You're welcome."
"You heard that?" Asked Stormy in surprise.
"Focus, stupid!" Darcy slapped Stormy's arm, which earned her a death glare from the weather themed witch.
"Don't make me zap you!" Stormy growled.
"Oh shut it!" The woman rolled her eyes again. "You want answers that bad, I'll give them to you."
"First of all, you can call me Missy." The woman introduced herself. "Rather recently, I narrowly escaped with my life after an incident involving the dead and Cybermen."
"And I can't say I'm happy about my future self." Missy then muttered under her breath.
"That blew up in my face entirely thanks to a variety of factors." She then said aloud in an annoyed tone as she remembered how her last encounter with The Doctor and Clara went. Especially with the Cyber Converted Danny Pink.
"And I suppose you're wondering about the angry one disappearing." She then said as she referred to Stormy.
"How do you even know that?" Asked Icy.
"I was there." Missy said.
"What you experienced was something called the Snap or the Blip." She then began to explain. "The Mad Titan Thanos had gathered the Infinity Stones and snapped half the world's population into extinction."
"Well, rather into one of the stones but I see no difference." Missy shrugged before she continued. "But it didn't stop at one universe. Much of the multiverse suffered that as well. One snap along simultaneous moments in every universe with the same outcome, all enough to break all the barriers to the multiverse."
She snapped her fingers for extra effort.
Missy continued, "Of course, everything got resolved after. Including bringing back your sister. But Alfea was one of the only dimensions safe from the snap."
"What?" The Trix exclaimed in surprise. "How?"
"Well they did make that wish to protect the magical dimensions." Missy said simply. "You just happened to be in an area where it wasn't. Poor hindsight really."
"I will say in fairness they didn't see it coming however." Missy added casually.
The Trix stared at her in confusion. Not understanding any word Missy had just said.
"Oh come on, you can't be that confused." Missy scoffed as she stared at the trio's reactions.
"Who is even Thanos?" Icy asked.
"What do you mean 'every universe?'" Stormy asked.
"And what what does this have to do with you wanting us?" Darcy threw in her two cents.
"Well I'll answer that last one." Missy replied. "I have a proposition for you three."
"What do you mean?" Asked Darcy.
"I'm interested in this so called magical dimension for myself," Replied Missy. "Alfea or anything but they have unlimited possibilities. And I especially want that dragonfire I've heard so much about."
Icy was about to ask until the Time Lord cut her off.
"I've done my research."
"The simple fact is, I'd like to recruit you three for this task. I will need much firepower." She added. "And besides, wouldn't you want to finally defeat those pesky fairies?"
"No way!" Darcy exclaimed.
"I'm not buying!" Stormy agreed.
"I already had enough working for other people, especially after Valtor!" Icy angrily growled as she began to walk away.
"Do you not want a cure for your sister?" Missy calmly said as she took another sip of her tea. Unaware Icy, Stormy and Darcy when they were not looking, Missy smiled sinisterly albeit briefly.
"My...sister?" Icy turned around to face Missy as her face of anger morphed into one of hope and concern.
"How do you know about Icy's sister?" Darcy demanded, immediately suspicious of Missy as was Stormy.
"I've done my research." Missy retorted. "I've been to your dimension and witnessed the ice girl's plight during one of your excursions."
"Enough!" Icy shouted in annoyance. "Even if we agree, what's in it for us?"
Missy gasped in a mocking manner.
"Do you three think so little of me? Even when we just met?"
"Yes!" The trio exclaimed.
"I'm merely someone who wants to conquer worlds and help those accomplish their goals." She added.
The Trix glanced at each other, wondering if trusting Missy was the right call. With a nod from Stormy and Darcy, Icy made her decision.
"You can help me?" Icy asked. "Even Stormy and Darcy?"
"My dear, sweet child, that's what I do!" Missy said as she attempted to lay everything on thick for the Trix to join her. "It's what I live for. To help poor unfortunate folk as you three."
"Poor souls with no one else to turn to." She added with an added tone of melodrama.
"Really?" Darcy remarked as she looked a but unimpressed.
"Excuse us." Icy said to Missy.
She motioned Stormy and Darcy to join her in a huddle.
"She's suspicious." Darcy whispered to Icy. "I don't trust her."
"I don't know, she doesn't seem bad as Valtor." Stormy said.
"Not like we're doing any better by ourselves!" Icy hissed. "Not only is she promising us victory but finally, my sister can return to normal."
"If she can." Darcy remarked sardonically.
"Zip it." Icy glared at Darcy.
"Fine." Darcy relented.
The Trix broke their huddle and approached Missy again.
While they were in the huddle however, Missy listened in as she leaned a bit forward. As they broke the huddle, she hastily but calmly sat back down as she drank her tea to insinuate she was not eavesdropping.
"Alright, we're in." Icy said.
Missy grinned evily.
"Splendid!" She clasped her hands in sadistic delight. "Though first, a little change of location."
"Something a bit...inconspicuous." She added.
"The warehouse was your idea!" Stormy argued exasperated.
"Stay put, you!" Missy pointed her umbrella at the weather themed witch like a weapon with a warning tone in her voice.
"Now, I'm open to ideas." She then said. "I am thinking however, taking over a nightclub."
"That's the best idea you got?" Darcy scoffed.
"You have something better?" Asked Missy with her eyebrow.
"We'll see." Icy said.
"Meet me back here tomorrow, same time." Missy said as she offered her hand. "We do have a deal, do we not?"
"We do." Icy said without so much of a pause as she shook the Time Lady's hand.
"We'll be in touch." Missy said, satisfied.
Icy nodded as she, Stormy and Darcy finally left the warehouse.
As she saw them leave, Missy walked toward a dark corner of the room the Trix never noticed. As she walked toward the dark corner and stayed there, for a moment.
Until she walked out of the dark corner with a cage that contained a small white fox.
The Time Lady placed the cage under a table and the white fox recoiled in fear as Missy stared at her with a sinister smile. The white fox was Sapphire, the cursed sister of Icy.
"Still afraid, aren't we?" She asked. "Dumb question, of course you are."
"But don't worry," She then added. "Your sister is working for me now. And as soon as all will be said and done, she'll know our little secret."
She then pulled a weapon from the side of the ankle of one of her heeled boots; a .38 Smith Wesson Model 60 pistol.
"At least as soon as I take away their powers when they outlive their usefulness to me and take them all for myself after I get the fairies and their powers as well." Missy continued before she aimed the gun at Sapphire, who shook with fear.
"Oh relax, I'm not going to shoot you." Missy rolled her eyes and then chuckled as she put away the gun. "Not yet anyway."
"But rest assured, this is going to be very interesting for me." Missy added as she gave the most evil smile to Sapphire, who could only react in fear due to the helplessness of the situation.
Earth-090774
Around space, in another universe, the entire Solar System, a moving planet of gigantic proportions of orange and teal and horns moved through space. He had just come out victoriously after winning a fight with a variant of The Reach and has made it a mission to seek out more variants of The Reach to destroy.
But first, he needed a recharge. And this variant of Earth was what he needed.
The planet eater, second only to Galactus, approached the variant of Earth as he used his anti gravity abilities to start his consumption and pierce his horns onto the surface and feast upon the planet.
On Earth, the Day family did not see him coming and did not think more thoughts as they were silenced in a matter of seconds.
The multiverse now had a new threat; Unicron was here to stay. And on a personal mission.
Author's Notes:
Considering how dark this ended, I do have a third addendum that's more upbeat than this, I promise. But now some behind the scenes.
- To be extra clear, this is Missy after Death in Heaven. So she exists concurrently with the reformed Missy seen in Counterpart Conferences. So there's technically two versions of Missy going around in the multiverse.
But in case it wasn't clear, I put in a line of dialogue referencing the events of Death in Heaven as well as Missy knowing about her future self in Counterpart I did get permission from Michael Weyer to do this idea. So special thank you to him for saying yes.
- And Missy is part of the villain war that's set to take place in Winx Club. The third party will be introduced. The Rani in the meanwhile isn't part of said villain war but she is a huge big bad still. So a third party is going to be introduced later. First one made a cameo in The Perfect Knight anyway.
- Alfea and Domino exist as magical dimensions ergo, they are their own universe in a way, so, might as well give the Earth in Winx Club as a designated number. And the Trix have been to Gardenia on Earth before anyway.
- The snap thing being simultaneous is something of my own extreme conclusion. Being the painting within a painting within a painting, etc. It's all something I've thought as to what if the snap was still successful in other universes? Just basically the unlimited number of possibilities.
- Some of the dialogue is lifted from lyrics to Poor Unfortunate Souls from The Little Mermaid. I just thought it'd be fun and I think they do fit Missy being deceitful.
- So, for anyone not in the know, Icy has a sister as of season 8. Yes it's a retcon. But considering Winx Club is getting the reboot treatment, I now have free reign to play with canon in the original series. Hence, Missy knowing a "secret."
- The choice of gun is a reference to the one Biff had in the alternate 1985 from Back to the Future Part II and Missy using that gun to threaten people is something I've thought of years ago when once upon a time I thought of a Doctor Who crossover with a failed animated pilot called Planet Kate that aired on Nickelodeon. I might write that someday as it involved the 13th Doctor and of course, Missy.
But I did write a scene involving Missy and the alien dogs with her threatening to shoot them. Looking back, it's a good way to test writing Missy, you know?
- I got to be honest, I'm so eager to write Unicron that I just went with something of a cliffhanger post credits scene type of thing. So I wanted to establish Unicron exists in Infinity Crisis and I have plans I'm not ready to say except Ben2Dartmouth knows what they are. I will say Galactus will be involved by the end as the final conclusion to such an arc. And it won't be the last mention and appearance of Unicron in future stories.
- As for the designated Earth that got devoured, well first off, it's the universe of the Hanna Barbera cartoon These Are The Days which from the sound of things sounds like a very bland animated show on the side of The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. Which, yeah, sounds dull.
Basically I was looking up animated shows and not only I decided to look up Hanna Barbera shows as I deem them acceptable targets like DiC cartoons but this show qualified as an acceptable target. Especially as I could have fun with the juxtaposition of a down to Earth Waltons esque show being invaded by a Sci-Fi eldritch abomination in robot mode.
- The designated Earth number by the way is the airdate for These Are The Days.
- In a sense with Unicron, my intended subtext is an analog for lost media as well as media canceled for tax write offs. So yes, Unicron is something of a David Zaslav analogy with how much he destroys.
That's all I got and keep an eye out for the next one shot. See ya soon!
