Chapter 12: Reich No More
Michiko gathers her forces at an Arasaka Bunker to prepare for the attack on the Iron Legion home base. Michiko, Kenichi, Ayaka, and V are in the command center to look over the data gathered from satellite and drone scans on the vast mountainous region of Idaho.
"We managed to find their home base Berchtesgaden which is deep and complex. They have been building it up for over 50 years. Militech has given them defenses and arms to keep up their terrorist onslaught. This needs to end today," Michiko said.
"Right, I will lead the operation against these scumbags and keep the FSA safe. V stay by my side, we are going hot and fast," Ayaka said.
"Like last night," V said lightly as Ayaka blushed from this.
"V," she said with a cute smile as Michiko and Kenichi were amused by this.
"Good to see you two being happy. Put that to good use on the battlefield," Michiko said as she gave her troops their orders.
"I will go behind enemy lines to confuse, You two lead the main assault force," Kenichi said as they went into the hanger to see Arasaka troops donned in white and blue armor, Power Armored troops getting into transport AVs, and vehicles getting loaded up in transports.
"V, we will be using a Cyberwalker," she said as they approached the large crab-like walker littered with weapons and protective systems.
"Damn, the Daisasori is so impressive. Arasaka's most powerful land vehicle," V said looking over the cyber walker like a young boy getting excited over his new toy.
"Indeed, we have done some upgrades over the years like upping the power of the rail gun on top to take out Militech MT-5 Main Battle Tanks along with the coaxial 50 caliber machine gun, dual grenade launchers, and two rocket pods holding 3 ATGMs at a time. Combined with armor, active protection systems, and speed, this Cyber Walker is the ultimate in weapon platforms Arasaka can offer," Ayaka said as they boost jump on top to open the hatch to get into the cockpit within the metal beast's head.
"Insane," V is deeply interested as Ayaka laughs at this.
"Such a good boy, so interested in toys," she said playfully as her tail caressed his face and her pointy ears twitched around showing her amusement.
"It's exciting, never got to use this," V said as Ayaka placed her hand on his face.
"It's just cute seeing you like that," Ayaka said to pat her white and blue bodysuit to be ready to go. "Okay, we will lead the strike force against the home base. We need to smash through and push until we reach the caverns which we will go in and kill off the leadership with the others sweeping the rest," Ayaka said.
"Hey guys," Cho said on the radio to be within an AV alongside Sandra and Zell. "See you on the other side," Cho said to check her suppressed MK14 EMR which is a tactical version of the MX1 Garand chambered for the .30-06 in 15-round detectable box magazines.
"Yeah, ready to go honey?" she asked as V grabbed onto her tiny hand.
"Always with you by my side," V said as Ayak felt her pale face glowing red.
"Goodness, let's finish this quick and enjoy dinner back home," Ayaka said as the fleet of aircraft began to fly towards the enemy base of operations.
Within the hour, they were overlooking the mountains of Idaho to see green everywhere.
"So beautiful here, such a rare sight to see forest this lush around here," Ayaka said gazing at the wonderful mountainous forests around here.
"Only remote places like this are deeply forested left," V said as he also thinks it looks lovely.
"Okay, everyone. We are closing in on the main site. Prepare for combat," Ayaka said on the radio with the transports and AV being assaulted by anti-air fire. "Seems like they got defenses set up," Ayaka said as Kenichi was down on the ground already to slice up enemies with his mono blades to crave them into pieces.
"Ayaka Sama, I going to crave up the defenses here," Kenichi is using his super reflexes to dodge incoming bullets and strikes with ease. He whips his arm blades around to reduce the enemies to piles of gore on the forest floor.
He uses his cloaking devices to disappear to pick apart various defense lines to use his Kyubi to place suppressed headshots to wipe out groups with his superhuman reflexes.
Arasaka gunships are pounding away the enemy defenses while Arasaka Netrunners are disabling and turning their defenses against them. "Time to make a landing," Ayaka said as their cyber walker landed on the grass to see power armored units and vehicles get loaded while groups of red and white troopers came in to begin smashing through their defenses.
"The power of the Arasaka paramilitary is on top of them. No amount of their defenses will help them now," V said, awestruck by the raw power of the Dove Faction's military might.
"Well, it's not as big as the main Arasaka Forces but we are still impressive. After what happened at the Tower, people are going onto Michiko's side," Ayaka said as the Cyber Walker began to move through the forests along with other Daisasori vehicles aiding in assaulting the defenses.
An AV comes in to bomb a piece of artillery seeing it explode. Neo nazis tried to stop them but it was in vain. The couple's Daisasori is unleashing waves of 50 BMG rounds to tear into the troopers and armored SUVs leaving behind piles of broken bloody bodies and fiery heaps.
V fires an ATGM to strike a Basilisk to blow it to pieces. "This is what I am talking about," V said sounding excited with their walking death machine unleashing untold destruction onto their enemies.
An Iron Legionnaire fires a rocket from his RPG-A launcher but the Daisasori's Active Protection System or APS managed to track it and knock it out of the air before hitting the vehicle leaving it unharmed.
They activate the vehicle smoke generator to mask it with a cloud of grey blocking any heat-seeking weapons while using their sensors to keep firing on enemy position using a 50 Cal turret and twin grenade launchers built in the head of the walker.
The grenades pound into the dug-in defenses to smash through them with ease. The walker's railgun blasts another Basilisk splitting it in half. "These things are insane," V said.
"Yes, I am quite surprised these were not used against that kid that went against Arasaka in 2076. These can easily snipe something from 5 miles away. They got cocky and made a PR nightmare," Ayaka said.
Cho is on top of a tree using her EMR to place shots into incoming rocket troops trying to shoot the walkers. "You guys, they got more rocket troops trying to overwhelm your defenses," she said to land headshots to put them down.
"Thanks for the aid," Ayaka said on the radio as the duo's walker tore through the defenses while Arasaka was pushing deep within Iron Legion's lands.
"No problem," she said using her charge jump to cross between trees to resume sniping more targets to kill more rocket troops.
Kenichi comes in with his Marshall shotgun revolver loaded with 5 rounds of 12-gauge buckshot. He fires waves of pellets to tear into rocket troops to prevent them from destroying more walkers.
"Clearing up defenses here," Kenichi said using his blades and suppressed pistol to kill off a bunch of Iron Legionnaires. He uses his super reflexes with his Unity pistol to land headshots with ease and zero effort.
"Shit, a Full Borg Ninja," the Iron Legion members were being coldly killed off with blades and guns.
Zell is in his custom Standard D ACPA to use his monoblade to slice up enemies while tanking shots from grenades and bullets which he eats with ease. He fires a ball of flames from his wrist-mounted flamethrower burning neo nazis to a crisp.
Zell pulls out his Monsoon, a new Arasaka machine gun that has 10 barrels stacked in a rectangle pattern with each barrel holding 80 rounds of 5mm each. "Chew on this," Zell unleashes a wave of bullets which tears into the enemies at 3200 rounds for a second.
With each pull of the trigger fires 10 bullets at once to slam and rip into Neo Nazo thugs reducing them into piles of bloody gore. Zell shoves the terrorist into a tree to crush its skull on impact on the thick bark.
"We should get inside and subvert their subnet. Making their defenses useless," Sandra said on the radio.
"Of course. We are close to breaching their defenses and getting into the core of their operations," Ayaka said as they saw a community here with houses and warehouses getting destroyed by Arasaka forces.
"Gee, they been living here for several decades now, and to be swept away,
"Honey remember they are Neo Nazis. Need to be purged. These people are nothing but raging lunatics hiding in the mountains waiting for a race war that never happened. They deserved this," Ayaka said as V nods his head.
"Yeah, nothing lost here," V said as they approached the caverns where their main base was located.
"Unirs inbound," Ayaka said as PACs, Minotaurs, and Basilisk opened fire with their weapons. The APS can block several rockets to leave the walker suffering minimal damage.
The rockets take them out as another rocket destroys a PAC leaving it a flaming heap. The rail gun cuts through the Basilisk to destroy it. Then the couple fires another shot to kill another Basilisk. They managed to kill off the defenses to get to a gate which is blocking the way inside.
The Daisasori uses its railgun to blow apart the gate letting the troops inside. "Time to get up close and personal," V said as he grabbed his machine gun to leap out of the walker to land on the dirt. Ayaka follows after to wield her R29 Ranger which is a bullpup battle rifle made in the Texas Republic for the Texan military. It's chambered with 25 rounds of 6.56x52 mm like the ones used in the Defender machine gun.
She has an Overture revolver in her thigh holster. "Let's move," she said using her battle rifle to pop heads with the heavy rounds to see them dropping down headless and blood pouring onto the dirt in the cave tunnels. "Time to swarm in and purge them all," Ayaka ordered
"Yes, Sakai Sama," the soldiers are wielding Nowaki and Masamune burst fire assault rifles to put down groupings of terrorists dropping them in the hundreds. ACPAs are coming in to destroy mechs, drones, and enemy troopers with MA70 HB machine guns to tear into their bodies with explosive rounds.
The power armored troops are using Assault Cannons to fire mini rockets to blast apart several groups of Neo Nazis.
Kenichi is using his mono blades to slice up several enemies. He is deflecting a barrage of bullets with his swords to swiftly strike them down. He pulls out his Marshall to destroy the thug's head with blood shooting out of his exposed neck slot.
Cho switches to her Liberty pistol to blast enemies in the head as she slit the throats of the terrorists with her dagger. Zell along with Sandra is going along to give her aid.
"They crave out these mountains for decades," Zell said as he got hit by a grenade which didn't flinch him to use his Monsoon to slice through the waves of enemies in the tunnels.
"The center of her subnet should be nearby," Sandra said as the trio went off to see multiple Wyverns with Sandra using Short Circuit to blast them to pieces. The trio enters the server room to wipe out the enemies with Sandra hacking into the access point to begin poisoning the subnet of Berchtesgaden.
Sandra turned all the defenses of the enemy onto them and turned them friendly. "Time to taste their own medicine. Decades of built-up to be used against them," Cho said as Zell and Cho safeguarded the server room letting Sandra and other Netrunners infect the net of Berchtesgaden.
V, Ayaka, and Kenichi are going through the tunnel to kill off the leadership to see all the automatic defenses turning on their masters. "All this shit to blow up in their face," V said as he wields the light machine gun with the 6.5x45mm rounds cutting down incoming troops from the dirt tunnels.
Kenichi lobs an EMP grenade to shut down their Cyberware with Ayaka fires a rocket from her PLS to destroy them in a big blast scattering their body parts everywhere. She kills them off with a combo of Cyberware Malfunction/ Short Circuit reducing them to piles of broken bodies.
"Sandy Users," V said using his own Apogee Sandy to outspeed them and use his precise aim with his Kenshin to slice through their bodies reducing them to bloody heaps on the dirt. He tosses a frag grenade to blow apart more enemies.
Ayaka is wielding her Overture revolver to shoot them through the head while her combat tail spears and tears into enemy thugs. Her combat tail is fast enough to block incoming bullets with her Mist Slicer in her other hand. Her revolver, combat tail, and sword are slicing through groups of enemies.
Ayaka uses her grapple arm to latch onto the rocky ceiling to lift over a wave of rockets to strike down troops with her powerful cyber legs. She drives her sword into the skull of the fallen terrorist to sever it from the body.
They go into a large warehouse area with V boost jumping onto a platform above to wield his Midway machine gun to look through the combat scope to see a load of enemies coming in. "Time to knock them dead," V begins to burst fire the machine gun to seeing bodies dropping at a rapid rate.
V is killing more troops than they can replace with over a hundred Iron Legionnaires dead on the floor. "Nice work V-San, excellent shooting," Ken said as he split a man in half with his arm blades. He tosses a grenade to blow apart a woman into bloody pieces. He uses his Kyubi battle rifle to put rounds into the bodies of Neo-Nazis.
"No problem," V reloads his SAW to put in another 200 rounds ammo box onto the weapon and then cocking it to be ready for more fighting.
"The leadership is close by. Sandra gave us the feed to their location. We are going to breach the door. They are not leaving this place alive," Ayaka said as they all three pushed up on the door to crack it open to toss a flashbang to blind everyone inside.
They bust through the door to unleash hell with their bullets and explosives tearing up the room. All the leaders of the Iron Legion are now dead. "No more nazi bastards," V said.
"Yes V-San, they will begin to implode and collapse in on themselves," Kenichi said.
"Good work everyone, the leadership has been killed. Secure the area and wipe out the rest," Ayaka said as she felt good about this. "We did it, the mission is over and the Iron Legion is finished," she said to give a hug to V.
"We did it and crushed them," V said feeling proud of himself.
"Yes, Michiko-Sama will be pleased with this. The death of the Iron Legion will bring the FSA on the side of the Dove Faction becoming major allies," Kenichi said.
"Indeed. Now we need to get out of here," Ayaka said as they began to hunt down and kill off the remaining Iron Legionnaires. Their hateful reign of terror on the FSA is over due to the actions of the Arasaka Dove Faction.
