Glinda and Elphaba have both had some time to think about their words and their emotions of the past day. Oz, Glinda can't believe all that has happened in one day. First breaking into Morrible's office, then searching for Elphaba in the woods, a big argument with Elphaba, an interrogation with Madame Morrible, in which Glinda got a lot of information, but she knows that her parents will be sent a letter and then the last discussion with Elphaba in which she learned more about Elphie's past. And she hasn't even thought about the conversations with her parents and what her parents would think. Fiyero's behavior when she returned his bag is also still haunting her, but there is little room for it, because her mission is Elphie and not Fiyero. Oz, what a day. Maybe a first mission to take someone out would have been easier than this mission. Glinda was glad that there was still some food in the cafeteria, because it was almost closing. The cafeteria ladies were already cleaning.

Elphaba waits until Glinda is gone before she screams loudly into her pillow. What an emotional release that gives. Tears spring to her eyes. Oz, what she has done and said. She cannot remember making herself so vulnerable. Many things have been said and done, the most that gnaws at Elphaba is Galinda's reproach about her behavior, that she has felt that Elphaba did not trust her completely. That is why Galinda behaves like this, to gain Elphaba's trust. But Elphaba does not understand much of it. On the other hand, Elphaba does not understand friendship either. She thinks long about her own behavior. She cannot say that she has behaved like the friend she always dreamed of being, as a child. Maybe she should also be honest and tell Galinda the truth. Oz, why is this so difficult? Various thoughts go through Elphaba's mind, but she wants to save her friendship, that is the most important thing now. She also needs answers, answers that only Galinda can answer. A direct approach seems best. One thing she knows for sure, her life has become a lot harder since she met Galinda and Fiyero. Maybe she should never have gone to Shiz, to avoid this kind of drama. All she wants is to learn.
XXX
Glinda enters with the food. They silently set everything up. They sit on their own beds. Glinda knows she hasn't been gone very long, but there has been enough time to think about the situation. Now she has to make Elphaba trust her again. She has to make sure Madame Morrible can't carry out her plan. Just hold on a little longer and the Wizard will take over Sometimes it is better to start the conversation quickly, like pulling a band-aid off a wound.. Glinda thinks motivatingly.
"I'm sorry," Glinda breaks the silence. "I said some things I shouldn't have said."
Elphaba nods. On the one hand, she's not surprised that Galinda apologizes first. But on the other hand, she expected more silence. "I'm sorry too. I'll try to rely less on my instincts. But that's all I could trust my whole life."
Glinda nods. She exhales a breath she didn't even know she was holding in "I understand."
They continue eating silently. Elphaba is conflicted within herself, but she also knows she must make the first move. Galinda's words have deeply affected her. When they finish, Elphaba clears her throat. "As a sign of my newfound trust, I want to show you something."
Glinda narrow her eyes and nods.
Elphaba retrieves the board from behind her and hands it to Glinda. "These are the things I find suspicious; maybe you can explain them."
Glinda stares at the board with her mouth slightly open. There is so much written on the board. So many questions about where Galinda is, or notes about certain behavior. She's impressed, but she mustn't show it. "I think you find everything I do suspicious," she jokes.
Elphaba laughs in relief. "At certain times, yes, because you were away so much. I mean I saw ShenShen and Pfannee walking around campus alone, and when I asked where you were, you gave a very absent answer about those two. I never got it. I don't get why you hang out with those two girls anyway, but sometimes, I don't know, they were looking for you while I was; I thought it was weird."
Glinda bites her lip. She can tell part of the truth. She places the board next to her. "I'll tell you a secret, and I want you to keep it to yourself."
Elphaba nods.
"I go to the gym. I have to keep exercising if I want to maintain this figure. It's also the time to be alone and myself. I enjoy the moment and work up a sweat, but I also know that everyone thinks it's gross. It's gross when you're sweaty, but I don't know; it gives you a boost. No one can know, because they think very differently about you." It's not entirely a lie; she goes to the gym to stay fit so she can better protect Elphaba, like when dealing with those men or running through half the forest to find her.
Elphaba stares at Galinda with her mouth open. "Was that your big secret?" It feels like an anticlimax.
Glinda starts blushing. "What will people think of me if they hear this? My reputation was at stake."
Elphaba rolls her eyes. "You're exaggerating. Maybe you should care less about what others think of you."
Glinda looks at her hands. She wonders how Elphaba believed her. She is mentally punishing herself for such a bad excuse
"But maybe I should also show more that others' opinions are important to me," Elphaba adds softly. After analyzing everything thoroughly. Galinda's fearful face makes her realize that Galinda might be telling the truth.
Glinda looks up and nods. "Sorry for shouting at you."
"Sorry for making you feel like I don't trust you."
Glinda's eyes well up with tears as she smiles. "Shall we admit that our first real fight as friends is over and forgive each other?"
Elphaba smiles back. "I would like that."
The girls remain silent in an uncomfortable silence. "Um, I mean, how do we move forward now?" Elphaba asks.
"I have no idea. I think we both need time to think about what was said. Maybe we should forget about it or act like it never happened."
"Yes," Elphaba rubs her hands.
There's a knock on the door. Elphaba gets up. She sees one of Madame Morrible's assistants and hands her the letter.
"A letter for you," Elphaba says with a suspicious tone.
Glinda swallows. This might be her chance to show Elphaba she means what she said. "I have something else to tell you."
Elphaba nods slowly and sits next to Galinda. Glinda tells Elphaba everything that happened between her and Madame Morrible. Not everything, of course, but enough so that Galinda seems like a victim and Madame Morrible cannot be trusted.
"What? How dare that woman. I'll quit her lessons right now."
In a split second, Glinda wanted to let Elphaba go and give up Madame Morrible's lessons. But she also remembers how much Elphaba needs the lessons to control her magic. To have a chance to stand beside her idol, can she take all that away and end the mission so easily? The Wizard still wants to work with Elphaba and to do that, she needs to be able to handle her powers.
Glinda grabs Elphaba's wrist and makes her sit back down. "Don't do that. It'll only make things worse." Glinda is touched that Elphaba would give up her lessons for her. Oz, Glinda I hope you know what you're doing,'' Glinda thinks desperately. The words and the feeling are there before she can stop herself.
"But she threatened you to get expelled from school just because I couldn't control my emotions and my magic. Oz, I wish I didn't have so much power. I have powers I never wanted."
"But you can do a lot of good things with those powers," Glinda says as she runs her thumb over Elphaba's palm. ''Think of the Animals you saved.'' Galinda knows that Madame Morrible is the problem, not Elphaba. She must not jeopardize Elphaba's future. Now she can learn everything to do the right thing later. Despite not trusting Madame Morrible, she has learned everything so far, so that Elphaba becomes more confident in her magic. As long as Elphaba uses the powers for good or not at all, she will never become Wicked.
Elphaba looks at her hands. She enjoys the feeling, but when Fiyero touched her, it felt good too. She gets confused by her feelings again. She shakes her head. No, Elphaba, don't focus on your own feelings; you need to be there for your friend.
Glinda smiles. "Don't be so hard on yourself. It's okay to think about your own feelings."
Elphaba looks surprised. "How do you know that?"
Glinda shrugs. "Sometimes I can read minds," she says mysteriously.
"Sometimes I feel that way too," Elphaba says, laughing. ''But now back to serious you don't have to take the blame. I could also talk to Madame Morrible and say it was me."
She doesn't want Madame Morrible to have any more time with Elphaba. Oz knows what else the fishwife has planned. Elphaba must trust her, not Madame Morrible. Glinda shakes her head. "You know she'll write to your father. Or worse, call him. He'll come here, and then what?"
Elphaba feels the pressure of Glinda's gaze. She swallows; her throat feels like torn paper. If her father finds out she's not spending all her time with Nessa, he'll start shouting immediately, she thinks fearfully. "He's not... I mean, he's never hit me," she says weakly.
"No, but he neglects you," Glinda says directly.
Elphaba pulls her hands back immediately.
"Sorry, I didn't mean it like that."
"No, you're right. I just don't want to hear it. The truth is sometimes too hard to bear," Elphaba says with watery eyes and a small smile.
"That's an understatement," mutters Glinda.
Glinda isn't ready to drop the subject, even though she can sense that Elphaba wants her to. "Why does your father treat you like this?"
Elphaba laughs moodlessly. "Seriously, Galinda? Look at me. I'm green, irritable, magical; I'm everything my father doesn't want me to be."
"But none of that is your fault."
"Galinda, please, I don't have the energy to have this discussion with you right now. It is what it is. My father hates me and he has a good reason." Elphaba's eyes widen and she claps her hand over her mouth.
Before Glinda registers what she's saying, she hears the words "What's that reason?"
Elphaba shakes her head.
Glinda stands up and sits down next to Elphaba. ''Please Elphie, I want to help you as a friend.''
''It's my fault.'' she mumbles.
Glinda stays quiet and waits patiently until Elphaba is ready to share the story. ''I told you about the green bottle, under my pillow.''
Glinda looks confused and nods. She didn't expect this. She remembers the conversation after the OZ dust party
''My mother died during Nessa's birth. The reason was that she started eating milk flowers to make sure the child wouldn't come out like me.''
Glinda doesn't seem to understand at first, but then she looks Elphaba in the eyes and understands. ''She wanted to give Nessa a normal skin color.''
Elphaba nods slowly. ''If I hadn't been born, Nessa wouldn't have been born too early, she would still have had a mother and my father would still be happy.'' Elphaba turns her face away so she can quickly wipe away her tears.
''Oooh Elphie, that can't be true.'' Glinda says pityingly.
''I don't need pity,'' Elphaba says angrily. She looks at Galinda angrily.
Glinda swallows. ''You're right. But you know it's not your fault, right? I mean it was your parents' choice to eat the milk flowers, not yours.''
''They chose because I was born green.''
Glinda laughs short loudly. ''Come on Elphie, if you had the choice, what color would you have been?''
Elphaba looks surprised. ''The normal one, of course.'' she says after a short silence.
''Exactly, no one knows exactly how and why they are born the way they are. I didn't choose to be this small, but I was born that way. You didn't choose to be green, so how can it be your fault?''
Elphaba thinks deeply about Galinda's theory. It goes against everything she has believed and experienced in the past years. ''Still, that's how it is.'' Glinda rolls her eyes. This is a discussion for later, she thinks wearily. She says nothing and lets Elphaba process everything. But Glinda can't stand waiting, when she knows she still has a lot to do. She grabs her brush and loosens Elphaba's hair. She slowly starts combing her hair. Elphaba is still too busy processing everything. Galinda's words are still wandering through her head. The angry words of Frex that she has heard her whole life prove Galinda wrong, she thinks confused. Only when she has put everything in its place does she feel that Galinda is working on her hair. She smiles carefully. She will never admit that it makes her feel nice and comfortable. Elphaba lets herself enjoy the feeling for a moment, just a moment.
"Let's go back to the letter. What does Madame Morrible say?" Elphaba asks after a short silence. After Glinda puts down the brush. ''Maybe I can help you.'' She wants to cause Galinda as little trouble as possible. She feels weak that she doesn't go to Madame Morrible and take the blame. But she also knows that she might get Galinda into more trouble. Lying to the headmaster is not acceptable.
Glinda sighs. She had hoped Elphaba had forgotten. It was late and she really wanted to go to bed. She opens the letter and starts reading. "It says I have to stay in detention after my lessons for the next week. I also have to write two essays about respecting superiors. She's already sent the letter to my parents. This is my first and last official warning. The next one will result in suspension and then expulsion from school."
"Galinda, are you sure?" Elphaba asks worriedly. "These are not light punishments. I don't understand why you're taking the blame." No one has ever stood up for her. Well, no one? a voice in her head asks. Galinda did it in the Oz dust, all those weeks ago. Elphaba shakes her head quickly. She can't bear to think about it now. Galinda needs her in a different way.
"Because my parents are much more tolerant than your father. They don't mind. It's not that bad. I would only get into more trouble and so would you. This is not so bad. Please Elphie, let me do this for you. Think of it as a new start for our friendship. No more hard feelings. Although you can help me with the essays."
Elphaba visibly doubts. She knows that Galinda is right. But can she let go of the feeling that what Galinda says is not quite right. ''Okay, I'll help you with what I can. But don't ever do it again. I'll help you with everything.''
Glinda nods gratefully. ''I know what this means to you. You're not a weakling now that you're thinking of yourself, Elphie. It's very brave of you.''
Elphaba is speechless. Sometimes Galinda can really read thoughts and feelings. Elphaba thinks, shocked.
''I'm glad things are good between us again.''
Galinda nods too. ''Come on, let's talk about the boys.''
Elphaba rolls her eyes. She starts yawning.
"So much magic in such a short time still demands a lot of energy, doesn't it?" Glinda asks worriedly.
Elphaba nods. "I hope it passes quickly."
"I'm quite tired too. Tomorrow will be a long day with all the gossip, detention, and essay writing." Glinda opens her arms. "May I?"
Elphaba nods. They hug each other. That's exactly what friends need. They stay in their embrace longer than they expected, but neither seems to mind.
XXXXX
Weeks pass quickly. Glinda pays more attention to her behavior and keeps her distance from Elphaba. Madame Morrible keeps a closer eye on Glinda, but can't think of anything to punish her.
Madame Morrible sits down at her desk. She has to handle the situation properly. Her colleagues have already done a few things in the palace. She has done a few herself. It is her job to convince the youth that the Animals have no rights. But thanks to Elphaba, her position has suddenly become a lot more important. She has to keep it up, if she wants to rise even higher.
With a sigh, she looks outside where she sees Galinda and Elphaba walking. She has made a mistake by punishing Galinda so severely. She feels that she has to regain Elphaba's trust. Which is true, but now she is considerably behind Galinda. Madame Morrible knows that she has to keep motivating and complimenting Elphaba. Only then does she still have a chance. It frustrates her that those students have so much power over her approach. If it were up to her, she would have sent Galinda out of the room long ago. She would have kicked Galinda and all those airheads out of the university. But she has not yet reached that point in her plan. It has to happen step by step. These setbacks are actually no longer welcome at this stage of the plan.
Unfortunately, she has to keep Galinda in her class because of this. To everyone's surprise, Galinda shows more and more magical powers. Madame Morrible had already felt it, but Galinda is not as powerful as Elphaba.
Galinda tries to understand her new powers, her parents have never told her anything about magic and are just as surprised as their daughter.
XX
''Tell me again why you have detention?'' ShenShen and Pfannee ask because they don't understand that Galinda is being punished. They sit together during breakfast, to share all the gossip.
Glinda rolls her eyes. ''Because Madame Morrible doesn't like me.'' It is not entirely a lie and it is the easiest explanation.
''It's so unfair how she treats you.'' ShenShen says with pity. ''We have to do something?''
''Like what?''
''That's what you're here for, isn't it? To come up with idea's'' ShenShen says sheepishly.
Glinda giggles. ''Thanks for your trouble, but I just have to serve the punishment.''
''Ooooh you're so good Galinda.'' Pfannee says. ''Let's go out again next week, then we'll celebrate.''
Galinda doesn't know exactly what they're going to celebrate, but it sounds good. It's been a long time since she's had a good night out. She hasn't been since the incident with the Deer. She wants to forget that. It will also be good to create some distance between her and Elphaba. Her parents seem to have more confidence in her now that they see that Glinda listens to them. They are happy with the distance that Galinda is creating.
XXXX
In the room, Galinda and Elphaba were writing the essay Galinda had to write as punishment, which is over five thousand words long.
"What nonsense," Galinda says for the umpteenth time, putting down her pen to relax her fingers.
"I know," Elphaba says sympathetically. "But we're almost done."
"Then we'll have to do another one and I'll have to rewrite everything so it looks like I did it all myself," Galinda complains softly.
Elphaba tries her best to work the same way as Galinda, but they can see some differences. That's why Galinda has to rewrite everything.
"Let's take a break," Galinda says.
"We're almost done."
"After a fifteen-minute break, we'll be almost done too."
Elphaba sighs and puts down the pen. She has to admit that a break is very welcome.
"Now, tell me everything." Glinda says, sitting down on the bed next to Elphaba.
Elphaba looks at her questioningly. "You know more about what goes on on campus than I do."
"No, not that," Galinda says, waving her hand. "Between you and Fiyero." Even though it hurts Galinda to talk about it, she has to persevere.
Elphaba blushes. "Oooh, there's nothing special."
Glinda looks at her meaningfully. "That's why you two are awkwardly together, of course. You stumble over your words when you're together.
Elphaba tries to think of something, but no sound comes out.
Galinda giggles. "Oooh Elphie, you should see your face. So cute."
"I'm not cute," Elphaba mumbles.
"Why don't you take the lead and ask him out?"
''What?" Elphaba asks, startled. "You mean something like... No."
"Yes, that's what I mean. That cute boy, who you've been good friends with for months, who helps you understand society, who does everything for you. Yes, you can ask that boy out."
"No," Elphaba says quickly. "I mean, why? No." Elphaba stammers.
"Yes, Elphie. Ask him out." It breaks Glinda's heart, but she has to go through with it.
"But I've been good friends with you for so many months. You do everything for me too."
Now Galinda starts to blush. "That's different and don't change the subject, Missy."
Before Elphaba can answer, Galinda is already up and heading for the closet. She grabs a new dress, which she happened to buy for Elphaba. ''Wear this.''
'Uhm no.'' Elphaba says confused.
''Uhm, yeah, come on, you're going to ask Fiyero out as a thank you for everything he does for you. That's what friends do for each other.''
Elphaba sighs. ''We're just going as friends. NO ONE is going to help spread a rumor that Fiyero and I are together.'' She points sternly at Galinda. Galinda makes a gesture that she pulls her lips together. Elphaba sighs, she knows Galinda is right. It will be good of her to thank Fiyero. He's done a lot. Elphaba makes a mental note to ask Galinda out too, since she's done enough to help her. Somehow, asking Galinda out makes her more nervous than Fiyero. ''Stop it Elphaba,'' she tells herself sternly, when she is alone in the bathroom. ''You are going as friends. Be glad you have friends.'' She does not feel completely at ease with all her friends, her instincts are still trying to tell her something, but she finds that Galinda is much more honest than usual. Their big fight has brought their friendship a bit further.
Now it seems that Fiyero has a big secret, because every time she suggests going to their room, Fiyero refuses. He does not want anyone to come to his room. Elphaba sighs and puts on the dress. If all friends are this difficult, she is glad she has so few.
Galinda is already done with the things to make up for Elphaba.
''No,'' Elphaba says sternly.
''But Elphie.'' Galinda whines. ''You only look prettier. I only do a little. I promise.''
Elphaba just wants to get it over with and get on with her life. That means learning as much as possible.
"No, I'm going as a friend. If Fiyero is really a friend, he likes me the way I am."
Defeated, Galinda drops her things. "You're right, but can I do your hair? I like that." Galinda tries again. "Come on, you're so beautiful, everyone should see it." So much for the distance I'm trying to create, but I know Butler is here tonight and he won't rat me out to my parents.
Elphaba starts blushing again. She's still not used to someone calling her beautiful. That doesn't happen so quickly, after more than two decades of neglect.
XXXX
Elphaba walks with big steps towards the building where Fiyero lives. She is mentally punishing herself. How did she become so soft. She let herself be persuaded so easily by Galinda. She used to be stronger, that Galinda does something to me. Elphaba thinks frustrated.
''Elphaba is that you?'' Nessa asks surprised. ''Wow I didn't recognize you, you are so, so, so different.''
''Where are you going?'' Boq asks who is walking next to Nessa.
Another change by Galinda thinks Elphaba frustrated. Nowadays Nessa wants to do as much as possible herself, including steering the chair herself. Boq on the other hand is very happy with it. He can enjoy the time together with Nessa much more.
''Where are you going?'' Nessa repeats the question a little more bluntly than she means, when Elphaba doesn't seem to answer Boq's question.
''Oooh sorry, I'm going to Fiyero. I have to ask him something.''
''And then you're going like this?'' Nessa asks with a raised eyebrow.
Elphaba starts to blush.
''What Nessa means,'' Boq says sternly to Nessa, but gently to Elphaba. ''That you look beautiful.''
Elphaba can't say a word.
''Yes, that's what I mean. Thank you Boq.'' Nessa says, not understanding why Boq corrects her, but she has learned to act it. She doesn't want to lose Boq at all costs.
''What are you going to do?'' Elphaba asks to change the subject.
''Boq is so sweet to take me to the lake, for something romantic.'' Nessa says as she looks at Boq lovingly.
Boq unintentionally takes a step back. He is not that far in the relationship yet and he never will be. He has to remain professional and if she succeeds, he will never see them again. ''Well I thought I had something nice in mind for you.'' Boq says shyly.
''Aaaah isn't he a nice boy, Elphaba.'' Nessa says kindly. ''Now don't embarrass yourself or me. Would you like to push me? My arms are tired.''
Boq sighs. She tries, she tries. Boq thinks repeatedly in his head. ''Sorry, we have to go.'' Boq says apologetically as he pushes the chair.
''Bye.'' Elphaba says as she walks on.
She hears Boq explaining a few things about her sister's behavior towards Elphaba. Elphaba shakes her head. ''Strange things are happening here.'' she says to no one.
XXXX
She knocks on Fiyero's door. She hears things being moved around, before Fiyero opens the door. ''Hey, how can I help you?'' he says as he stands in front of the opening.
''I uhm, it's actually Galinda's idea.'' she says. As soon as Fiyero stands there without a shirt, her mouth goes dry. She shakes her head. ''Sorry, but can you put on a t-shirt.''
Fiyero looks surprised and at his chest. ''Oooh yeah, sorry.'' He closes the door and quickly puts on a t-shirt. He was training, before Elphaba came. He's curious what Galinda is planning now. He opens the door again.
''Yes, I want to know if you want to go out to dinner as a thank you for everything you do for me.'' Elphaba says quickly, clearly rehearsed.
''Uhm that's unexpected.'' says Fiyero, who hadn't expected it. ''But cool, let's do it. Just the two of us?''
Elphaba nods. ''There's nothing behind it or anything.''
Fiyero smiles. ''I know. I appreciate the gesture. I will never turn down an invitation with you.'' If only to help Glinda, so that she creates more distance. Fiyero thinks after. ''Give me a moment and then we'll go to...''
''I uhm.. Galinda said something romantic, but I thought of the pub. It's cheaper.''
Fiyero nods approvingly. ''That's fine. Give me a moment.'' He closes the door and gets dressed quickly. He walks through the door and Elphaba tries to look past him, but she can't.
Fiyero laughs. ''My room is just always a mess, I don't want anyone to see it.''
Elphaba rolls her eyes. ''As if you're ashamed of that.''
Fiyero laughs sheepishly. ''Ah, a prince has to uphold his reputation.''
Maybe that's the problem, Elphaba thinks. Galinda and Fiyero are both thinking about their reputation, instead of something else. ''Have I lost you already?'' Fiyero asks laughing.
''Oooh sorry, I was lost in thought.''
That's okay, I said you're beautiful.''
Elphaba blushes again. ''We're talking about something else.''
''No, because I learned to always tell the truth.''
Elphaba rolls her eyes. ''Who gave you this wisdom?''
''You actually,'' he says, grinning.
Elphaba stands still and looks surprised.
''You know, with the Lion cub. It really opened my eyes. I often think about that day.''
''Oooh Oz, you think.'' She doesn't want to bring up those feelings.
Fiyero chuckles. ''It never gets old.'' You should know the truth, he thinks. ''Anyway, I'm glad I got to experience it.''
Elphaba looks at him skeptically.
''What I mean is, it's a shame that it happened and I think about Professor Dillamond a lot, but it opened my eyes. I changed because of you.''
Elphaba starts to blush. The feelings are coming back. ''Do you know what happened to him?'' Just to think of something else.
Fiyero shakes his head. In the meantime, he is looking for Professor Dillamond, but he can't tell her. He doesn't know exactly what Galinda is planning, but he came to help her. Now he has been in contact with her parents, they want Galinda and Elphaba to create distance; so he goes along. In the meantime, he has gained a lot of appreciation and respect for Galinda. It is not an easy mission for the first time, she is doing very well.
Elphaba has to admit that she had a nice evening. Fiyero makes her laugh. To her surprise, Galinda was already asleep, and had finished her essay. With a sigh she sits down. She gets ready to sleep like that. She tries to enjoy life, as it is now, because once they graduate, she will go back to her old life as a servant for her father and caretaker of her sister.
XXX
Glinda had also done her other homework in the meantime. She has to prepare well when her parents come, for the parents' day.
Somehow it feels like the end of her mission is near. She feels very sad to give up everything she has built up. She understands her parents' words better and better, but she cannot imagine how the mission should have been different. She hopes that she can convince the wizard to let Elphaba come to him as soon as possible. The house where she lives now is a poisonous environment for her. It cannot end badly for her. In the meantime, she has also spread various positive gossip about Elphaba. She hopes that she will have positive results soon. She has to keep trying different techniques, so that she has enough proof for her parents. Oz, her parents, she does not know whether she has more respect or more envy with their behavior. But they are still her parents, she wants to keep her parents happy. Through her parents she has found her life's purpose. If she does not become a spy, who is she? Galinda has had enough of her thoughts. She tries to calm down and fall asleep.
