Chapter 11: Chris and Joker
(Later at Wayne Tower to Gotham City…)
We finally went to Wayne Tower.
When reinstated Bruce Wayne walks in.
Getting warm welcomes from the staff most of them were shocked for good reason given they thought he died but with Alfred's cover there was nothing suspected.
When Bruce walks in his office he has a surprising guest...
"Lucius?" Bruce asked, surprised.
"Bruce? You're alive?" Lucius asked, surprised.
"Need your mind." Bruce said.
"The autopilot was fixed after all." Lucius said.
"I know. I'm sorry." Bruce said.
"I'm so sorry." Lucius said.
Bruce nods yes.
"Too." Bruce said.
"I don't know if Alfred told you before your funeral but…I'm interning here." Lucius said.
"We haven't kept in touch since I…left." Bruce said.
"Where did you go? I mean a whole year…and why fake your death?" Lucius asked.
"I was…a target to Bane. The reactor you tried to use to blow up Gotham was invented from Wayne Enterprises. So…I had to lay low. If everyone thought I died no one would know where I am." Bruce said.
"I see." Lucius said.
Bruce and Lucius looked up to the portrait of Thomas on the upper wall.
Bruce looked up at his lost father.
"I miss Dad too, Lucius." Bruce said.
"I just…he spoke so highly of you. Sometimes I wonder if he looked at you…as a son." Lucius said.
"You and my father were close. Even built his train with you. They were like friends." Bruce said.
"Guess that makes us. Listen…thanks for everything Bruce but I have to get back to my lantern." Lucius said.
"Come to me any time. Most nights I'm busy but I'm always here." Bruce said.
"Thanks." Lucius said.
Lucius walks to the door but unaware of Bruce…
…he had a printed update on the wall…
Fire raged in his eyes.
Bruce looked up at Lucius's portrait silently…
"We made a difference, old friends. I'll watch over Lucius. You have my word. Another old POWERFUL friend will even protect him." Bruce said.
Bruce and Lucius then press a button under his desk which opens a secret door on the wall which opens…the elevator…to applied sciences…
"So Robin?" Bruce asked.
"John Blake?" Lucius asked.
"Yeah. You with Blake." Bruce said.
"Oh yes. I met John. He found the cave." Lucius said.
"John found the Batcave?" Bruce asked.
"Yes." Lucius said.
"Good." Bruce said.
"Like this guy." Lucius said.
Lucius shows Bruce a picture of the Joker back when he was sitting in the cell at the Major Crimes Unit…
"Joker?" Bruce asked.
"Yeah. And from what we read…he killed another close friend of yours. She was an attorney for the DA Rachel Dawes." Lucius said.
Bringing up Rachel and seeing a picture of the Joker made Bruce on edge than he already was…
"What about him?" Bruce asked.
"During Bane's conquest of Gotham he escaped from Arkham Asylum. Evidently he kidnapped a doctor unidentified but presumed dead." Lucius said.
The Joker was back and out there and Bruce knew for certain he had to read the cowl…
Lucius would be no match for both of them…
"Rachel was my oldest friend…and the love of my life. I want nothing more than to ensure her murderer is in a panic cell." Bruce said.
"Bruce…" Lucius said.
"The son of a bitch that killed Rachel. He broke out of Arkham. It's rumored he kidnapped a doctor there but…is believed dead. But I need your help." Bruce said.
"You're right." Lucius said.
Bruce nods yes.
"Welcome old friend." Bruce said.
(Later at the Chamberlain Warehouse…)
Later we come to Chris, Billy, Tina, and Jackie only in this version the Joker's men don't visit him.
"Boss, here the kids come." Joker men said.
"Good. Come on at my office." The voice came.
"Okay." Joker men said, as he turned to the kids. "Come on."
The kids walked and it was…
It was Chris, Billy, Tina, and Jackie…
They entered the office. The Joker men pulled the door closed.
"We're here." Chris said.
The shadow turned around and its…its…
"Joker." Chris said with an evil smile…
It was the Joker…
"Hello Chris." Joker said.
"And how may I ask, did you get pass the men?" Chris asked.
"Oh they seemed mopy so…I just carved a smile on their faces." Joker said.
Chris but to evilly chuckle, bringing Nolan's Joker and Peirce's Chris together they…could get along well…
"You killed the men." Billy said.
Joker nods yes.
"Heh." Jackie said.
Chris traps her glass as he does in the movie giving us his black capes are coming song.
Joker looked at him oddly.
"You know the funniest truth in the world? You might find this as just a joke but the truth about it is actually what makes it funnier. You see, the devil's don't really come from hell below us. Oh no my friend they come…they come from…they come from the Bat." Chris explained.
"Hmm." Joker said.
"So, I'm officially out of the prom. I bet that cocksucker Principal Henry Morton and Miss Rita Desjardin lose his jobs, though. My dad is suing him. My dad took my new phone. I'm crying." Chris said.
"Oooohhhh. Too bad. Make you sad at the prom." Joker said.
"John Hargensen." Billy said.
"Ah yes. The lawyer." Joker said.
"Sue Snell hates me." Chris said.
"Your friend hate you?" Joker asked.
Chris nods yes.
"Sue is making you mad." Joker said.
"I know. Sue got mad at me." Chris said.
"You two and the Ultras." Joker said.
"My friends talk to me. He is called the Batman." Tina said.
"Yeah. I'm sure." Joker said.
"The death of Batman one year later." Jackie said.
"Good. Batman is gone." Joker said.
Joker grew a grin under his lipstick grin.
"Think about it Bats fly in the night and are resembled as demons." Chris said.
"Hehehe you drive a hard bargain Chrissie. What's your take?" Joker asked.
"I just need you to be my eyes and ears in Gotham. Cause it'll only be a matter of time before…your friend returns." Jackie said.
"You really believe he's still out there? Especially what everyone says?" Joker asked.
"I'm certain of it. You just had to…hire Catwoman off his back." Tina said.
Chris just stated he drew Catwoman away from Bruce just by offering…enough money something she never refuses…
Joker then chuckled, liking what he stated.
"Now the black capes are coming too. Black…soon to collide…your own…agent of chaos." Chris said.
"You just said the magic word. You know when I first came to Gotham I was ripping off mob bosses. But…my friend…changed my life. I mean I wanted to kill him at first but…it got too fun just to let something…go to waste." Joker explained.
"My thoughts exactly." Chris said.
"Deal." Billy said.
Joker laughs as the camera zooms at the painting.
Chris, Billy, Tina, and Jackie evilly smile…
