All was quiet in the peaceful town of Little Whinging. It was a cloudy morning with a cool breeze sweeping through the streets. Across the road

from Number 4 Privet Drive stood a man. He wore oval shaped glasses and a gray t-shirt with jeans. The man had an average build and messy

black hair with a small number of grays smattered about. He had his hair well combed only moments before he apparated into town. He intently watched the house recalling the events of his life in that home. From

when he resided in the cupboard beneath the stairs to the last time, he had seen the Dursleys. Glancing next door to Mrs. Figgs old home he

could almost hear her voice. "Don't put it away, idiot boy!" She shrieked. "What if there are more of them around?" Mrs. Figg screamed in his

head.

"Harry?" A voice called from behind him. Harry turned around to see a man he barely recognized. Though he was overweight he looked a lot healthier than his father. "You're getting old Potter." The man smiled.

"You're getting older yourself Big D." Harry quipped. They both chuckled then Dudley gestured for Harry to follow him. They had been walking for a while barely speaking a word. Harry walked with his hands tucked into

his pockets wishing he'd brought a jacket. Harry rushed over to Little Whinging when he received an unexpected owl. This Owl had been from

the Dursley's asking Harry to come home.

A while later they reached a gated entrance. Shortly upon walking through Harry realized they entered a local cemetery. He silently followed

Dudley until they stopped at a headstone. "Vernon Dursley." Was etched into the stone in big letters followed by "Beloved father and husband." In smaller letters beneath his name.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

"I'm sorry about your father Dudley. He loved you very much." Harry uttered. He never knew how he would feel about the passing of his uncle now in this moment he was saddened. Harry knelt by Vernon's grave and

placed his right hand onto the headstone. He was unable to find the words to express his grief. "Thank you." Was all Harry could muster. Tears formed in Dudley's eyes as he quickly wiped them away with his sleeve. "Harry..." Dudley spoke shakily while producing an item from his coat

pocket. Dudley produced a letter with a distinct seal on the back. It was a seal Harry recognized immediately as the Hogwarts crest. "You kept one?" Harry questioned as a grin spread across his face. Just passed Dudley Harry saw two women and a little girl entering the cemetery. "This isn't why we called you home Harry." Dudley said nervously. His

aunt Petunia walked closer alongside a woman unfamiliar to him with a little girl holding her hand. Harry looked at the young girl and though she

looked more like her mother, he could tell she was a Dursley.

The women stopped beside Dudley. Aunt Petunia had hair that was snow white with grayed streaks. "Aunt Petunia." Harry greeted her softly. "Hello

Harry." She replied. "I'm sorry about Uncle Vernon." She thanked him before turning her head to the little girl.

"Hello I am Sarah Dursley." The woman chimed in introducing herself. "Harry Potter." He replied with a smile.

"This little one is our daughter Elizabeth Dursley." Dudley said as he laid a hand on her shoulder. Harry approached the little girl who stared at him

curiously. He knelt before her and spoke. "I bet you can make things move without touching them, can't you?"

Harry whispered.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

Dudley invited Harry to his home for tea so they could have a private conversation. Harry agreed and they all packed into Dudley's automobile

and began driving off. Harry sat in the passenger seat behind Dudley somewhat snuggly as Dudley had his seat pushed back. In the middle-sat Petunia with Elizabeth to her right. They arrived at the Dursley's residence in the small town of Belford, England. It was just shy of an hour from Little Whinging although, it would have been much quicker if Harry had simply

apparated. "Muggles and their conventional travel means." Harry thought to himself.

Dudley invited Harry inside as his wife set the kettle on. "This is some home you've got Dudley. I am glad you're doing well for

yourself." Harry spoke earnestly. Dudley nodded at Petunia who stood up and ushered Elizabeth into her bedroom.

"Harry, you must put a stop to this." Dudley muttered. "I've tried but they won't stop coming." He continued.

"What do you mean?" Harry asked plainly. "It was like when we were children. Remember when you received your

first letter to that school? For every letter I've disposed of they've comeback in droves." Dudley ranted on.

"You don't want Elizabeth to attend Hogwarts." Harry replied fighting the anger that was rising within. "She won't attend that school!" Dudley

barked back with gritted teeth. "Understood." Harry said plainly before standing up. "So, you'll talk to them?" Dudley asked hopefully. Harry

nodded his head as he extended his hand to Dudley. Dudley took Harry's hand and pulled him in for a quick hug.

"It is good to see you again Harry." Dudley smiled. Harry returned his smile as Petunia walked back into the room followed by Elizabeth. She

stared at Harry Potter with a gaze that was almost familiar to him. It was as if she were screaming internally.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

Shortly Sarah entered the room with tea and Dudley regaled Harry with stories from the years since they'd last seen each other. For the first time in his life, they'd bonded shared laughter, and it was all rather strange. This had the feeling of an odd dream that Harry would never think of

passing.

A while later Harry was ready to leave as he thought to see the headmistress of Hogwarts before it was late. "It was lovely meeting you

and Elizabeth." Harry spoke to Sarah as she smiled. "Do you need a lift anywhere Harry?" Dudley asked as he stood up.

"I'll be fine." Harry spoke as he looked around. He said his goodbyes to the Dursleys before looking Elizabeth in the eyes and winking. Harry walked

out of the front door and walked a few feet down the walkway. He looked around, ensuring there was no one watching and in an instant he

disappeared.

Elizabeth watched the man disappear into thin air. She was amazed as this was her first glimpse of someone doing magic other than herself. Her

mother and father strictly forbade her from doing magic. Elizabeth felt out of place not only at home but also at school. She felt like there was no

one like her in the entire world until three days ago. Nine days after her grandfather's passing, she had retrieved the post from the letter box

outside. She cycled through the letters until she reached a rather particular card. Elizabeth smiled as she read the handwritten envelope.

"To Elizabeth Dursley, 12 Gambon Road, Belford, England" She turned the envelope and noted a rather interesting seal. There was what seemed to be a Lion, a Snake, a Raven, and another creature she

couldn't quite distinguish.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

Excitedly she ran inside to show her mother the letter. "Mom look! Look what I received in the post." She shouted. Her mother laughed as she

turned to Elizabeth. "You? Receiving something in the post let's have a look." She replied

amused. The smirk quickly subsided as she looked at the strange envelope with Elizabeth's name and their home address on it.

"Dudley!" Sarah shouted as Dudley ate his breakfast. Dudley quickly rose to his feet taking another bite of his sausage before rushing into the next

room. "What's all this commotion about?" Dudley questioned as he noted the envelope in Sarah's hand. It rushed him back to his childhood

memories, staring as Harry held his own letter in hand. "Dad look Harry's got a letter!" He recalled shouting out.

"Where did you get that?" Dudley questioned. "It was in the letter box." Elizabeth spoke quietly. "Give it here." Dudley spoke to Sarah. He saw the

familiar school's crest stamped onto the back sealing the envelope. Dudley turned the letter to receive a shock that nearly had him joining in

father in the afterlife.

"To Elizabeth Dursley, 12 Gambon Road, Belford, England" Dudley took the first letter and set it in the fireplace. Elizabeth looked on helplessly as the letter was engulfed in flames. The next morning an odd feeling encompassed Dudley as he readied for work. He walked to his car

looking around, nothing out of the ordinary. "Your hat dear!" Sarah shouted from the doorway. "Ah, Thank you I seem to be out of sorts this morning." Dudley chuckled as he took the hat from Sarah. They shared a

quick kiss when a strange sound interrupted. They looked around and saw nearly a dozen owls on the roof of their home. Dudley immediately tried

shooing them away with his hat and briefcase as they paid him no attention.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

That night Elizabeth snuck out of bed and overheard her parents locked into a conversation.

"I know where these letters are coming from. Why they are coming here and why they are addressed to Elizabeth." Dudley admitted.

"This isn't the first time I have seen this happen Sarah. The first time I saw this was when I was a boy. My cousin Harry received letters just like this

and no matter how hard my father tried to stop them they just kept coming." Dudley spoke softly.

"I vowed since we knew what Elizabeth was capable of that she wouldn't be allowed to follow in Harry's path. You see Sarah, our little Lizzy is a

witch." Dudley finished as his wife stared back. "A witch?" Sarah questioned. She looked at Dudley then broke into a roaring laughter.

"I knew you wouldn't believe me, so I saved one." Dudley interrupted his wife's cackling. Dudley handed his wife a letter that matched the one

Dudley threw into the fireplace a few days prior. It had been opened with the crest carefully broken. Sarah produced the letter and began reading.

"To: Ms. Elizabeth Dursley 12 Gambon Road Belford, England

Dear, Ms. Dursley We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts

School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Students shall be required to report to the Chamber of Reception upon arrival, the dates for which shall be duly advised.

Please ensure that the utmost attention be made to the list of requirements attached herewith.

We very much look forward to receiving you as part of the new generation of Hogwarts heritage.

Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titilandus

Headmistress McGonagall

Elizabeth heard as her mother finished reading the letter. Although, she couldn't believe it. Was there really an entire school of

witches and wizards? Kids just like her with magical abilities. "What are we going to do Dudley." Sarah questioned. "I don't know, one thing is for

certain. Elizabeth cannot go to that school." Dudley responded.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

Harry Potter apparated right outside of Hogwarts school grounds. At the entrance there sat a silver tabby with squared marks around its eyes. "Good day Minerva." Harry grinned. Headmistress changed from her

Animagus form back into her usual self. "Mr. Potter, I wondered when you would finally show. I was getting worried." She smiled.

"I will take a while guess and say you know precisely why I am here." Harry said, amused. "Oh, I will say it has to do with a little girl with some relation to the most famous wizard of our time mister Potter." She replied

smugly. "How long have you known?" Harry asked. "The fact that she was a Dursley is a recent discovery. You see I have friends within the

ministry that tend to fill us in on these matters when it comes to the use of underage magic. This one has been on our radars for quite sometimes

it was only when I discovered who her parents were that I made the connection.

"Isn't it odd that my cousin and his wife both muggle born now have a witch in their family?" Harry questioned.

"Not at all if I recall correctly Hermione's parents were both muggle born" Minerva replied back with a grin.

"That's not what I meant exactly." Harry tried to explain before he was cut off by McGonagall.

"Who are we to question why Potter? The same magic that kept you alive could be the very same that lives within that girl." She explained.

"The only problem is my cousin would never permit Elizabeth to attend school at Hogwarts." Harry spoke plainly.

"A lot of time has passed Harry. I am sure you are more than capable of convincing him that there is no better place for Elizabeth Dursley than

Hogwarts."

"Thank you, professor!" Harry smiled as he hugged her and apparated with a "whoosh!"

"Good luck Mr. Potter." Minerva said softly.

The Next Day

Harry Potter rang the doorbell to his cousin's home and the door was answered by his wife. She invited Harry inside as his cousin Dudley

watched the television. "Harry thanks for coming back so soon!" Dudley said excitedly. Having received no new letters, he was eager to hear the good news from his cousin. "I trust everything went well." Dudley spoke cheerfully. "Well, everything went great. It's just I feel as though I should tell you myself." Harry spoke clearly. Dudley's smile vanished into visible confusion. "I know you hate to hear this, but your daughter is a witch."

Harry said factually. "Potter, I'm warning you!" Dudley spoke eerily reminiscent of Vernon. "Dudley just listen to me. Hogwarts wants Elizabeth to attend their school…" Harry began but was quickly

interrupted. "She will not be going to school with those freaks!" Dudley erupted into outrage.

"Is that what I am to you Dudley? What Elizabeth is?" Harry replied quietly. All the anger that Dudley felt quickly subsided.

"I asked for you to make it go away Potter." Dudley muttered defeatedly. "and I can make it go away. You just have to do one thing." Harry spoke. "Anything!" Dudley replied. "You step into our world with Elizabeth. You

see the wizarding world for yourself and if you or Elizabeth aren't satisfied, I will see to it that you never hear from Hogwarts ever again."

Harry said cheerfully. "Alright Potter but I am warning you." Dudley replied. "No funny business." Harry finished.

Once they arrived in London Harry led them to a pub with a sign out front that read "The Leaky Cauldron". "Harry, Are you sure we're allowed to go into this Diagon Alley?" Dudley questioned. "It's a little late to be asking

that now, isn't it? Besides you're being accompanied by a well-known wizard." Harry replied. "How well known?" Dudley questioned. "I am sort

of famous in the wizarding world." Harry spoke.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

They made their way inside of the establishment and there were quite a mix of odd patrons. They turned to see who had entered and nearly all

eyes were fixed on them immediately. It made Dudley nervous at first, but their stares quickly changed to excitement as they all began shouting. "Harry! It's Harry Potter!" Many of them began shouting with delight.

"How ya doing Harry?!" One man greeted him with a smile and a pat on the back. "Why are you famous?" Elizabeth questioned. It had been the

most she had spoken to Harry since they met at the cemetery. "It's a rather long story." Harry replied as they continued onward. Harry

recognized two faces sitting at a table near the courtyard. "Hagrid! Professor Slughorn!" Harry greeted them.

"Blimey Harry! It's great to see you again. Going to introduce us to your friends?" Hagrid spoke excitedly.

"This is my cousin Dudley Dursley and his daughter Elizabeth." Harry introduced them. "Dursley? You don't say" Hagrid uttered. "I don't know

if you remember when you were a tiny, well tinier thing I turned…" Hagrid began telling the story. "Yes, I remember you very well!" Dudley replied.

He motioned for Harry to continue walking when Harry introduced Elizabeth to whom exactly these men were. "Professor Slughorn is the

Potions teacher at Hogwarts, as Hagrid is the Gamekeeper and keeper of keys and grounds." Harry introduced them. "Merlin's beard! Do you mean

to tell me Dursley has a witch on his hands? Congratulations!" Hagrid spoke happily. "She'll be going to the finest wizarding school there is!" Hagrid spoke. "Perhaps she'd make a good student for your collection

Slughorn!" Hagrid joked as he patted professor Slughorn on the shoulder. "Only time will tell." He replied with a smile. Dudley watched quietly as they exchanged casual conversation. "I'm sorry but we best be on if we

are meant to get what we need in Diagon Alley." Harry chimed in before saying goodbye.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

"What was all that about?" Dudley questioned. "Just introducing them to Elizabeth, I know I haven't convinced you to let Elizabeth attend

Hogwarts, but the day is young." Harry said cheerfully before proceeding to the courtyard. "This is Diagon Alley?" Dudley questioned as he thought Harry had gone mad. Harry produced a pink umbrella out of thin air and

began tapping on the brick wall before him. Suddenly there was a low rumbling as the brick wall began shift forming a doorway of sorts. Harry

passed through and realized he was alone. Peering back into the doorway he whimsically questioned. "Are you coming?" Elizabeth excitedly passed

through as Dudley nervously followed suit. On the other side of the doorway there were shops scattered all about. Wizards and witches

adorned in brightly colored cloaks and tall pointed hats. Elizabeth noted small creatures that she had considered to be mythical at one point.

"They're elves, strange creatures but I've had the pleasure of knowing one of the best." Harry told her. One of the shops oddly had brooms on

display in the window. While another bright orange shop had a sign that read "Weasley's Wizard Wheezes." As an increasingly nervous Dudley

wondered what the heck was a "Wizard wheeze?" Another shop had a sign that read

"Olivander's Wand Maker Since 382 BC." Dudley scoffed and thought. "Since 382 BC is that some sort of joke?"

They continued walking until they reached a shop call "Flourish and Blotts." They walked inside and Dudley was relieved to see that it was only

a bookshop. One thing Dudley failed to notice was for the first time in a while his daughter was truly happy. She followed closely behind Harry as

he handed the list of requirements to the shopkeeper. They returned shortly with all the books on the list. "Pleasure to meet you Mr. Potter."

The woman spoke joyfully. They began making their way to another shop when Dudley stopped him. "What's with all the books Potter?" Dudley questioned nervously. "They're the books required by all first years. It's

here on the list." Harry responded.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

"I know what you're doing! You're trying to sway her into joining all this wizardry nonsense!" Dudley accused him with an angry whisper.

"I haven't the slightest in what you mean?" Harry said nonchalantly before continuing to the next shop. The next shop was Ollivander's. Harry walked in and the old man from behind the counter peered in to see who

had entered. "Mr. Potter! To what do I owe the honor?" Mr. Ollivander spoke cheerfully walking into the room. He began speaking to Harry. "You know it seems like only yesterday I handed you your first wand!" "I have someone here I would like you to meet." Harry responded. He

looked at the little girl and the man that came in with Harry. It was less friendly and in more of an intrusive manner like he was examining them.

"Curious." Was all he said as he fixed his gaze on the little girl. Harry handed Ollivander the list of requirements for first year students.

"I know precisely the wand for this young lady!" He shrieked in excitement. "Sycamore, Unicorn hair core, pliable…hmmm." Ollivander prattled on. "Give this one a go." He said opportunely. He handed the wand over to Elizabeth whose eyes lit up the moment she touched it. Almost as if it had been made just for her. "Give it a wave." Ollivander

spoke clearly. She waved the wand toward a vase of dying flowers. With a "whoosh!" They began springing back to life almost instantly. Harry saw the look in her eyes that no matter if Dudley wouldn't listen to Harry, he

had to hear out his own daughter. Ollivander laughed as he clapped. "Brilliant!" He shouted. "The wand chooses the wizard or witch." Harry uttered. "I usually say that." Ollivander muttered to himself. Dudley has had more than he could manage. "Thank you Harry I've seen more than

enough."

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

He spoke impatiently as he grabbed Elizabeth by the hand. "Sweety we're leaving." Elizabeth pulled her hand away and Dudley turned around as his

face turned tomato red ala Vernon Dursley. "Dudley! Just let me take you to one more shop and I promise you can

leave." Harry intervened. They walked into Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. It was precisely the type of establishment Dudley expected. Some sort of wizard gag shop lined up with children spending their parent's hard-

earned money on silly items. "Extendable ears? Love potions? What's this rubbish?" Dudley mumbled. "What's this rubbish he says." George laughed from behind Dudley. Harry

looked up to see George smiling at him. "Been a while Harry Potter." George said as he approached Harry. They exchanged a quick hug when

George looked at the two that seemed to be trailing behind Harry. "Who do we have here?" George asked intrigued.

"This is my cousin Dudley and his daughter Elizabeth." Harry introduced them to George as he shook their hands. "Any friend of Harry is a friend

mine, so I'll expect you to be buying something." George joked.

Dudley looked around to see a woman approaching them with three children. Two boys and a girl. "Dudley, Elizabeth I would like to introduce

you to my family. James, Albus, Lily, and my wife Ginny." Harry introduced them. "Albus here is going into his third year at Hogwarts, Lily is a fourth- year student, and James is heading into his fifth year as a prefect." Harry

explained. "I just wanted to know if it plays a factor into your decision that Elizabeth won't be going to Hogwarts alone." Harry assured Dudley. "Why are there animals on the envelope seal?" Elizabeth asked curiously. "Well, there are

four houses at Hogwarts Gryffindor, which is the house James and Lily were sorted in. There is Slytherin which Albus was sorted into, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. All first-year students get sorted into their house by the

sorting hat." Harry explained.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

"It was lovely meeting all of you. I am afraid Elizabeth, and I must go now." Dudley blurted out. He exchanged goodbyes with Harry's family,

and they left abruptly. "I should see they get out alright." Harry muttered before following them out. Dudley barely spoke a word on their way out

and said goodbye to Harry abruptly. Dudley and Elizabeth climbed into his car as he turned around and went home. When they arrived home Sarah

was there impatiently hearing how their trip went. "Exactly how I expected it to go. There is no way on earth I would send my Lizzy to that blasted school." Dudley scoffed. There was a loud crack that interrupted

their conversation followed by a thumping sound that came from Elizabeth's room. Dudley entered the room and inside was a trunk with a

handwritten note.

"In case you change your mind." – Harry. Dudley opened the trunk and inside were the books, robes, and the wand

she held at Ollivander's that afternoon. Dudley sighed and closed the trunk. "Lizzy, do you want to go to this Hogwarts?" Sarah asked her daughter. She immediately nodded her head as her father for the first

time noted the excitement in her eyes. "Why on earth would you ever want to go there Lizzy?" Dudley

questioned. "Because they're like me." Elizabeth said sadly. Those very words struck Dudley and made it impossible to reply back. That night they

ate dinner silently as Dudley replayed everything he had said to Harry. "You're trying to sway her into joining all this wizardry nonsense!"

"She won't attend that school!" "She will not be going to school with those freaks!"

Dudley sat alone in the armchair that night thinking to himself. What would his father think if he allowed her to attend the same wizarding

school as his cousin. Harry Potter.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

Three Days Later.

The Dursley's approached King's Cross Station apprehensively unsure of where to go.

"I was beginning to think you wouldn't show." Dudley turned around to see Harry standing on the platform behind him. "Afterall, I forgot to give you this." Harry said handing Elizabeth a train

ticket. "Platform nine and three quarters?" Elizabeth questioned. "There's no such thing as platform nine and three quarters!" Dudley

barked in confusion. Harry led the way towards the platform where his family waited for him. Ginny passed through the wall with Lily as James, and Albus followed closely behind. "Go on, if you're nervous it's best in a bit of a run." Harry assured Elizabeth with Sara directly behind her. Harry and Dudley watched as Elizabeth and Sarah disappeared behind the wall. Harry and Dudley walked through the wall together at the other end was

a platform with a sign that read platform nine and three quarters. "Brilliant." Dudley mumbled to himself. Harry assisted in getting his

children and Elizabeth settled onto the train. "Write us as soon as you can!" Sarah demanded. Giving Elizabeth a hug and kissing her on the

cheek. "I'll miss you terribly Lizzy." Dudley spoke as his voice shook fighting the urge to tear. "I'll miss you too Daddy."

Elizabeth smiled as she hugged her father and kissed him on the cheek. She boarded the train alongside James, Lily, and Albus. Once aboard she

was introduced to the Weasley's. "Are they the same Weasley's of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes?" she questioned. "The very same!" James

laughed. Dudley waved at his daughter from the platform and watched her wave back from the window. "Ginny is going to see you off." Harry interrupted. "You aren't coming?" Dudley questioned. "No, I've called in a favor to the

headmistress. I feel it would only right to ensure Elizabeth settles in properly." Harry explained. "It seems I'll be taking the Hogwarts express

one more time." Harry grinned.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

Harry boarded the train and rode the train alongside Elizabeth who was getting fast acquainted with his children. She smiled brighter than ever

since he'd met her at the cemetery. Once they'd arrived close to the school grounds, they boarded the carriages that would take them the rest of the way. Harry noted a bit of discomfort in Elizabeth's gaze as she fixed

outside of the carriage. "Is everything alright Lizzy?" Harry questioned. "What are those creatures pulling the carriage?" She asked softly. "What

creatures is she talking about?" Albus asked curiously. "You can see them?" Harry asked Elizabeth. She nodded her head as looked back

towards them. "They're called Thestrals not everyone can see them." Harry explained.

Once they arrived at the school grounds they were greeted by one of the professors. "Harry Potter! I almost didn't believe her when Professor

McGonagall told me you'd be joining us for the sorting hat ceremony." The man exclaimed. "Elizabeth this is going to be your herbology

professor. Neville Longbottom." Harry introduced her. "Who is this little one?" Neville questioned. "This is Elizabeth Dursley. My niece." Harry said

proudly. "Welcome to Hogwarts! Uhm Harry Professor McGonagall requested you meet her in the great hall upon your arrival." Neville spoke. "Well, I best be going then. Don't want to keep the headmistress waiting." Harry uttered. Harry assured Elizabeth that he would see her in the great

hall. Just as he was going to begin his introduction to the first-year students, he heard someone call to him. "Professor Longbottom."

Elizabeth called to him. "Yes child?" He replied. "Why is my Uncle Harry so famous?" She questioned curiously.

"I'm afraid that it is not my place to tell you. I will say this much you will find it difficult to stay in this castle and not hear a story or two about the

boy who lived." Neville replied with a smile. Neville rolled through his introduction to the first-year students and ushered them into the great

hall.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

They stood in line waiting for Professor McGonagall to call their names. Student after student was called Elizabeth grew increasingly impatient. "Elizabeth Dursley!" the Professor shouted. She took a deep breath and

approached the chair before sitting down. "It is nice to finally meet you." Professor McGonagall smiled. She looked across the great hall and saw

row after row of students all looking at her.

Just behind her sat the professor's all watching in awe. Harry sat there with the man she'd met at the leaky cauldron Hagrid. The man to his

right was Professor Slughorn who she'd met the same day.

Elizabeth looked forward and took another deep breath as she stated that she was ready.

The sorting hat began to speak as it was placed onto Elizabeth's head. "Hmm…Curious…Ahh yes I know exactly what house to put you in Slytherin!"

The great hall fell still as everyone stared in her direction excluding the Slytherins who howled in excitement. James and Lily shared their

astonishment as did Minerva, Harry, and Hagrid. The first student outside of Slytherin to break the tension was Lily Potter who stood up and

cheered. Soon after joined the rest of the school in applause as Elizabeth uncomfortably took a seat at the Slytherin table. She occasionally glanced

over at the Gryffindor table where she saw James and Lily all locked in conversations. Since she'd boarded the Hogwarts express, she felt alone

for the first time. A sinking feeling of loneliness nearly overtook her when she felt a tap on her shoulder. "Congratulations Elizabeth! Slytherin just

added a promising young witch to their house." Harry spoke reassuringly before giving her a small hug. All the students turned as they watched the

famous Harry Potter hugging the first year. Every student bombarded Harry with their excitement. Harry rushed out of the hall but not before

wishing Elizabeth luck in her first year.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

"That was quite a surprise, wasn't it?" Albus spoke from behind Elizabeth. "I'll say I never expected you to be sorted into Slytherin." Lily said,

jeeringly. "Regardless we will be here for you." James smiled. "Shouldn't you be off shaking hands with your first years Potter?" A smug

voice sneered from across the Slytherin table. "Who's that?" Elizabeth asked as she watched the tall blonde-haired boy standing up and walking towards them. "That's Tobin Clutterbuck Slytherin fifth year and prefect."

Albus said quietly. "I'm just congratulating our cousin this is Elizabeth Dursley." James replied plainly. "Your cousin?! Oh, this is rich someone

from the Potter family in Slytherin. No wonder why your father's expression was as though You-know-who rose from the dead." Tobin said

mockingly.

Lily took a deep breath and began to produce a wand from her sleeve when James stopped her.

"Your sister going to save you Potter?" Tobin joked. "Now Tobin would you like to continue where we left off last year?" James

replied with a grin. Tobin Clutterbuck grew quiet as a look of discontent spread across his face. "I didn't think so." James said derisively before

walking back to their table in the great hall. "You Elizabeth!" Tobin shouted demanding Elizabeth stand front and

center. "While in Slytherin house you will not associate with Gryffindor students, am I clear?" Tobin warned her. Elizabeth looked across the hall to where her cousin's all sat unaware. She nodded her head and sat back

down. "Very good Dursley." Tobin muttered.

After dinner Tobin Clutterbuck led his first-year students towards the Slytherin common room. Before they were able to reach the entrance two

students were tripped up when a rug was pulled beneath their feet.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

Tobin let out a sigh as he looked around. "Peeves! Cut it out!" Between the students there appeared a small man in strange clothing, he wore a

hat adorned in bells, and a bright orange bowtie. "Cutty whatty Toby woby? Peeves shan't listen to bratty watty students!" Peeves mocked as

he stuck his tongue out and disappeared. "That was Peeves The Poltergeist. I would watch yourselves around Peeves he doesn't listen to anyone with the exception of The Bloody

Baron." Tobin let out in annoyance. "Remember this passphrase will grant you access to the Slytherin common room. Cerrejonensis" Tobin spoke clearly. The students all

crammed into the doorway making their way to the dormitories. Looking through their personal belongings that were brought up. Changing into

their sleepwear and getting ready for the first lesson of the school year. A few students gathered in the common room to catch up on what they've done outside of school. Elizabeth Dursley sat on an armchair reading a

book. "Magical Drafts and Potions by Arsenius Jigger." Elizabeth was so captivated by the book that she didn't notice three girls walking in her direction.

"Ahem!" One girl cleared her through loudly to get Elizabeth's attention. She looked away from her nervously wondering what they wanted. "Hello,

My name is Olivia Bainbridge, this is Nora Hadley, and lastly Aaliyah Parker. We're all in second year." The girl in the center spoke. "I'm

Elizabeth Dursley." She spoke softly. "We were all curious. How is it you know Harry Potter?" Olivia asked with wide eyes. "Harry Potter is my

uncle, well sort of." Elizabeth explained. "You're related to Harry Potter?!" Olivia laughed.

"How strange that all of Potter's children get sorted into Gryffindor and his niece in Slytherin." Olivia laughed. "What house were your parents in?" Nora asked. "My parents? My mother and father aren't like me."

Elizabeth muttered.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

"Are you muggleborn?" Aaliyah questioned hastily. Elizabeth nodded her head.

"That explains why the Potter bunch all seemed surprised." Nora uttered. "It seems the sorting hat has made a most grievous error." Olivia spat.

"I think this is brilliant! What better year to rise from the ranks and claim not only the quidditch cup but the house cup as well." Tobin interrupted. "Dream on Clutterbuck! Slytherin ain't won the quidditch cup in years." A

third-year boy by the name of Arthur Rowe chimed in. "This could be our year Rowe!" Tobin roared.

Arthur was the seeker on the Slytherin quidditch team. He was good but no match for the school's best. A fifth year Hufflepuff by the name

Peregrine Blackwood. "Tobin, do you hate the Potters?" Elizabeth asked loudly. Every head turned towards Elizabeth as it had been the most she'd

spoken since sitting at the Slytherin table in the great hall. "I would consider it more of a friendly competition, sort of." Tobin replied amused. Soon all the students went off to bed. Only one student was up, Elizabeth found it difficult to sleep. A third-year student by the name of

Harriet talked in her sleep. Another student snored so loud it sounded like a wild beast.

The next morning the students all gathered in the great hall for breakfast. Elizabeth found it difficult to stay awake as she slept extraordinarily little

the previous night. "Good morning, Elizabeth, is everything alright?" Albus greeted her noting she was tired.

"Hello Albus, yes I am fine just didn't sleep very well." Elizabeth muttered as she yawned. "I was wondering if you'd like me to walk you to class. I

would hate for you to get lost." Albus offered politely.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

Elizabeth turned to see Tobin Clutterbuck watching her intently from across the great hall. "I will manage just fine. Thank you Albus I should be going now." Elizabeth spoke much more enthusiastically as she gathered her belongings and walked away. Tobin approached Albus and spoke in a

belittling tone. "Where's your big brother Potter? Practicing his quidditch? It's a shame that he couldn't live up to the Potter name." Albus was

getting angry when Lily grabbed his shoulder. "Come on, he isn't worth it." She said quietly. A second-year student Elizabeth met briefly during the sorting hat ceremony offered to walk her to class. "Alright students

settle down. I am your potions Professor Horace Slughorn." The professor spoke loudly. "In this class I will not only teach you how to conjure up

some magic, but I will also teach you the intricacies and the art of potion making." Slughorn began. Not long into his prepared monologue was

Professor Slughorn caught off guard by an odd sight. He shook his head and began to shout. "Ms. Dursley!" Elizabeth hadn't realized she began to

fall asleep. She sat up immediately and looked into professor Slughorn's eyes that was currently dawning a serious expression. "Tell me Ms.

Dursley, What might I get if I combined dried nettles, snake fangs, horned slugs, and porcupine quills?"

There was a brief silence as Professor Slughorn turned his back to her. "You would have concocted a potion that cures boils, if not properly

brewed it could cause the boils to erupt. It is blue in color but emits a pink smoke when completed." Elizabeth said loudly.

"Excellent! "Well," said Ms. Dursley; it seems like one of my students has taken the time to study early! Five points to Slytherin. Please do try to stay awake." Professor Slughorn said in excitement as he continued his lesson.

The Slytherin students all cheered on Elizabeth as she tried to pay attention as best as she could.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

After potions class she reported to her broom flight class. "Are we really going to be flying brooms?" Elizabeth asked another

student. "Don't tell you haven't flown before? I've been flying for a bit over a year me self." The Ravenclaw student boasted.

"Students gather around. I am your broom flight instructor Madam Hooch. For the first lesson you will mount your broom flight straight up and comeback down." Elizabeth was nervous that she wouldn't do well. She stood next to the broom she would be using. "Now raise your hand

above your broom and simply say up loud and clear." Madam Hooch instructed. Some of the students struggled, one of the first to complete this task was the Ravenclaw student. Elizabeth raised her hand over the

broom stick and had a familiar feeling. It was like the wand in Ollivander's like it was made for her. "Up!" Elizabeth shrieked loud and clear. The

broom quickly sprang up from the ground and gently landed in Elizabeth's hand. "Excellent Mrs. Dursley!" Madam Hooch praised her.

"Now time to mount your brooms." The professor instructed. All the students, including Elizabeth mounted the brooms. They all began lifting the brooms gently into the air with the exception of Elizabeth. She tried

and tried to get the broom to rise but nothing happened. Elizabeth began getting angry when in a split second she quickly lifted into the air. "Ms. Dursley be careful!" Madam Hooch hollered. The broom jerked in the opposite direction as she tried to take control. No matter what she did

Elizabeth couldn't control the broom. "I'll get you try not to fall off." The professor said calmly. Just as she was going to help her Elizabeth was

bucked off of the broom. "I've got you!" The Ravenclaw student shouted as he caught Elizabeth by her hand.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

The boy pulled her up using the brooms momentum and landed her safely on the ground. "Excellent flying Dankworth! Are you all right Ms.

Dursley?" Madam Hooch questioned after praising the Ravenclaw student. "Excellent." Elizabeth replied. After class, the boy introduced

himself to Elizabeth. "Albert Dankworth, If you like I could give you flying lessons." He offered with a smile. "That would be nice." Elizabeth smiled back. The rest of the day had been mostly uneventful in defense

against the dark arts. It was an introductory class where they learned the history of defensive spells. Herbology was intriguing but not exactly to Elizabeth's liking. The last class of the day, which she thought would be

the most boring, caught her attention.

The history of magic was taught by Cuthbert Binns. "The professor is a ghost?" Elizabeth asked intrigued.

"Yes, My father says Professor Binns died in the teacher's lounging area on an armchair. Oddly for an unknown reason he continues teaching." A

first year Slytherin student explained. "I've heard this class is rather boring." A Hufflepuff student whispered. The class began as the late but very lively Professor Binns opened with a lecture. "The Gargoyle Strike of 1911 was a wildcat strike of gargoyles that occurred in 1911. A "wildcat

strike" referred to a stopping of work by unionized workers without authorization from the union. As it mentioned "the wildcats were

winning" Throughout the class most of the students paid extraordinarily little attention. Elizabeth was fascinated by the subject and took detailed

notes throughout the class. Just as the class was dismissed all the students rushed to leave. All students except for Elizabeth Dursley. After

the lesson she carefully approached Professor Binns. "Thank you Professor Binns I quite honestly enjoyed the lesson." Elizabeth spoke

cheerfully. "Yes, well I had noticed you were the only student who hadn't fallen asleep or began working on other

assignments." Professor Binns replied.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

"Professor Binns!" An older student shouted from the doorway. "Ah! Benjamin Tinsley to what do I owe the honor?" Professor Binns

asked. "Just passing through, Who is this?" Benjamin asked the professor. "This is first year Slytherin Elizabeth Dursley. It seems she's taken quite an interest in my class." Benjamin took one look at Elizabeth and focused his

gaze back towards the professor. "Is that so?" He laughed. "My name is Benjamin Tinsley I am a sixth-year student and a Ravenclaw prefect." He said seriously. "I am glad you enjoy Professor Binn's lesson.

Not many students appreciate the history of magic as much as they should. Being a wizard isn't all about waving wands and brewing

potions." Benjamin began ranting on. "If you'd excuse the professor and I we have much to discuss." Benjamin said before expressing how it was

nice to meet her. Elizabeth ate dinner in the great hall and completed her assignments in the common room. That night she stayed up past bedtime reading from

her schoolbooks again. A while after all the students were asleep Elizabeth heard a strange noise coming from the common room.

Elizabeth sat up and noticed two beds were empty. She put on her slippers and crept as quietly as she could to the common room. "Shhhh!

Hurry up!" Elizabeth heard the voice of someone sneaking out of the Slytherin dormitory. She reached the bottom of the stairs and saw Olivia

Bainbridge and Nora Hadley sneaking out. Elizabeth followed behind carefully so as not to attract any attention. She hadn't the foggiest idea

as to why she followed them only that it was too late to return back to the dormitory.

Elizabeth hadn't realized how far ahead the other girls were as she lost sight of them. She looked at the grand staircase and saw the girls

climbing the staircase. Elizabeth quickly followed just as she climbed the staircase they were gone.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

Just as she reached the top Elizabeth heard a commotion from below. There were two students running as they whispered directions to each other. "This way hurry!" One of the boys whispered loudly. "He's on our

tail!" the other replied. "STUDENTS OUT OF BED!" shouted Peeves slowly floating behind the boys.

Elizabeth slowly crept towards the corridor nearest her. She turned around to ensure no one followed her when she crashed into someone

behind her. "Watch it!" Olivia whispered. "Sorry." Elizabeth. "Why are you following us? You're going to get us caught." Olivia sneered.

"I don't know. I was curious to see where you were going." Elizabeth explained. "We're trying to find the room of requirement." Nora uttered in

a hushed tone. "What's that?" Elizabeth questioned. "It's a room that appears to wizards or witches who need it most. "Now go back to the

dormitory before you get us caught." Olivia demanded. They turned back to the corridor and began walking when a silver tabby cat appeared at

the other end. The cat quickly changed shape into Professor McGonagall. The girls stopped in their tracks as they all wore guilty expressions.

"To my office at once!" Professor McGonagall ordered. After receiving a stern lecture and detention from the headmistress, the

students also had ten points taken from their house. Just as Professor McGonagall was going to take them back to the Slytherin dormitory

Professor Longbottom walked in with Albus Potter. "Professor I caught this student out of bed!" Neville began when he noted the three girls

already in her office. "Girls wait at the bottom of the winding staircase I must have a discussion with Mr. Potter." They immediately listened and

waited at the bottom of the stairs.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

"Excuse me!" The voice of an older man spoke from nearby. "Excuse me miss over here!" The voice spoke again. The voice was coming

from a portrait of an older man with glasses long white hair and a long white beard. He wore a purple pointed hat and had the robes to match.

"Are you Elizabeth Dursley?" The man questioned. Elizabeth noticed when she arrived that the paintings all moved but for

the first time she was having a conversation. With a painting. "Yes, I'm Elizabeth Dursley." She spoke visibly confused.

"Albus Dumbledore it is an honor to make your acquaintance." The man spoke. "Albus? Like Albus Potter?" She questioned.

"Precisely, He was named after yours truly." The man smiled. "You know I found it rather peculiar when Minerva told me that Dudley

Dursley had a witch." Dumbledore continued. "I assume you must be familiar with Harry Potter?" He asked.

"Harry's my uncle. He event brought me to the castle." Elizabeth said lightly.

"Did he? I'm thrilled to have had the opportunity to have met you. I hope we can expect remarkable things from you Elizabeth." Dumbledore spoke

before being interrupted by Professor Longbottom. "Sorry to interrupt Professor I must escort them back to their dormitories." He said

respectfully. "Very well, do enjoy your studies Ms. Dursley." Dumbledore spoke with a smile.

"You know your uncle had a knack for causing trouble. Not always intentionally either. I'll never forget the night Hermione Granger petrified me in the Gryffindor common room. Only later to find out they did it to save the school. We won the house cup that year." Neville recalled as he had a blank stare in his eyes. "Ah well that's all in the past now." Neville

smiled as he dropped the girls off at the dormitory. "Professor Longbottom what did Albus do?" Elizabeth asked quietly. "I caught him sneaking in a corridor. He claimed to just be roaming

around the castle freely." Neville explained.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

"Now off to bed it is late, and you all have class in the morning." Neville spoke in a whisper before turning around and marching down the

corridor.

The next morning Elizabeth yawned once again as she sat in the great hall. She heard someone arguing from close by, so she looked up. James

was scolding his younger brother. For getting caught by Professor Longbottom the night before. She wanted to go up to Albus and see if he

was all right, but she knew he wouldn't speak to her.

They began potions class that morning by reciting the ingredients to a potion known as The Sleeping Draught. "Very good class I would like that

you remember these ingredients well for tomorrow we will be brewing this potions in groups of two." Professor Slughorn spoke loudly. A while later the class quickly emptied as students rushed towards their next class. Elizabeth realized she had left her book in Professor Slughorn's

classroom when she turned back to retrieve it. "I'm sorry Mr. Tinsley but I have to restrict access to my storeroom to

myself and the other professors it seems as though someone had stolen various items." Professor Slughorn spoke. A few seconds later Benjamin

Tinsley, the sixth year Ravenclaw prefect emerged from the room.

"Elizabeth, what are you doing here?" He spoke confused. "I forgot my book in the classroom." Elizabeth explained. She wanted to avoid the

question but couldn't resist the urge to ask. "Someone stole from Professor Slughorn's storeroom?" Benjamin seemed almost offended by the question. "I wouldn't worry about it." He said before walking away. That day she couldn't stop thinking about the night before. Albus was

caught alone but she remembered two boys running together. They were caught because of Peeves The Poltergeist shouting down the corridors.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

Who was the other boy? She wanted to guess that it was Benjamin, but it couldn't have been. He was much too tall, and the other boys voice was

much higher. "I wonder if I should ask Albus." Elizabeth thought to herself.

That afternoon Elizabeth took extra broom flying lessons from her classmate Albert Dankworth. He was as experienced in flying as he

boasted to be. Even though she continued to struggle Elizabeth improved gradually. Just as they finished, she couldn't help but ask Albert a

question. "Do you know anything about Albus Potter?" "Only that he is the son of Harry Potter. He has siblings in Gryffindor. I've heard he is pleasant and brilliant in his own right. It still surprises me that he was sorted into Slytherin." Albert said while thinking. "Is it bad that he

was sorted into Slytherin?" Elizabeth asked "It wasn't bad just a surprise following the battle of Hogwarts. Not one

person could have guessed that a Potter would end up in Slytherin. Especially since James, and Lily Potter were sorted into Gryffindor." Albert

explained. "What's the battle of Hogwarts?" Elizabeth inquired. "You've never heard of the battle of Hogwarts?" He replied. Elizabeth

shook her head as Albert held an expression as though he stumbled upon a secret. "Are you muggleborn?" He asked in a whisper. Just as he finished

asking the question a grin spread across his face from ear to ear. "That explains why you can't fly a broom very well." Albert expressed. "I'll tell you the story some other time I have to go to my next lesson. Don't worry I am not judging its odd that you would be sorted into

Slytherin. Similarly, like Albus himself, is that why you ask about him?" He queried. "Can you keep a secret?" Elizabeth questioned.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

Elizabeth reported to detention alongside Olivia, Nora, and Albus as

instructed by Professor McGonagall. They reported to the great hall just after dinner to polish the candelabra by hand. "If we could use magic we would finish faster." Nora Hadler suggested. "Yes, then you wouldn't be

learning the consequences of your actions." Professor McGonagall articulated hastily.

"This is all your fault Dursley." Olivia Bainbridge muttered quietly so the headmistress wouldn't hear.

"Don't worry about them." Albus whispered to Elizabeth. "Albus?" Elizabeth replied back. Albus looked toward Professor

McGonagall who was reading from a book. "Who was the other boy running away from Peeve's?" She interrogated.

Albus's eyes widened as she whispered her question. "I was alone." He replied plainly. He remained quiet for a while before

Elizabeth broke the silence. "You tell me, if you want to." Elizabeth whispered. "I'll never tell anyone." Albus replied back.

"Silence!" Professor McGonagall demanded. The rest of detention was spent in silence as they polished the candelabra.

Once back in the dormitory Elizabeth was too tired to read anything. She went to sleep that night wondering what exactly Albus was involved with.

The next morning the students all spoke about a strange game. "It's called Quidditch!" Albert shrieked in excitement.

"Bloody brilliant game is quidditch! seven players on a Quidditch team: three chaser, two beaters, one keeper, and one seeker. The game is played with four balls: a quaffle, two bludgers, and a golden snitch. The Chasers handle the Quaffle and earn points by tossing it through any one of a set of three goalposts on the opposing teams side of the field. Each goal is

worth ten points. The Keeper guarded the goalposts in an effort to prevent the opposing teams Chasers from scoring. The Seeker tried to catch the golden snitch before the opposing team's Seeker could. The

Golden Snitch flew extremely fast and was difficult to see.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

When and only when the Snitch is caught does the game end, and the Seeker who caught the Snitch earned 150 points for their team. The two Bludgers are aggressive balls that fly through the air and to knock the

players off their broomsticks. The two Beaters each have a bat to hit the Bludgers in an effort to keep them away from their own teammates, as

well as to send the Bludgers towards the members of the opposing team." Albert spoke like an announcer introducing a televised football game.

"You should watch Slytherin practice this afternoon." Tobin suggested from behind her. "After all I trust you'll be cheering for Slytherin our first

match we play Gryffindor." Tobin said in a demanding tone. "Could I come?" Albert asked. Tobin laughed in a mocking demeanor.

"So, you could spy for Ravenclaw? I don't think so." Albert looked slightly disappointed before he turned to Elizabeth. "I'll see you this afternoon." Albert spoke before running out of the great hall. The school day went

well first was potions. Elizabeth and her classmate Alfie Foster, a first year Gryffindor student managed to produce an acceptable brew of the Sleep Draught. Professor Slughorn was thoroughly impressed. In herbology she caught a glimpse of Albert Dankworth whispering to other students. She wondered what they could be discussing. Come lunch time in the great hall there were rumors of a challenge. Elizabeth wondered exactly what

kind of challenge as no one passed along the rumor to her. She approached Albus as he was leaving the hall.

"Have you heard anything about a challenge taking place?" She inquired. "Only from James but he wouldn't tell me what kind of challenge." Albus

replied. "I'm sorry if I upset you yesterday." Elizabeth apologized. "It's alright I just rather not talk about it." Albus smiled.

"Fair." Elizabeth replied.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

After their lessons that day Elizabeth joined another Slytherin first year to the quidditch field to watch her first bit of quidditch even if it was just

practice. Elizabeth was surprised to see a fair number of students filling the seats. There were even students from other houses filling the

audience. When the Slytherin team approached the field, they were stunned to see everyone in the audience.

"This is a private practice Slytherin has reserved the field why are you all here?!" Tobin shouted as he faced the audience.

"They're here to see if you have the nerve to answer my challenge, Clutterbuck!" Someone shouted from behind him. Tobin turned around to see sixth year Ravenclaw student Fitzroy Dankworth approaching the field

followed by his younger brother Albert and the Ravenclaw quidditch team. "What challenge?" Tobin stuttered "Ravenclaw formally challenges

you to a practice game. Seeing as we don't play Slytherin till later this season." Fitzroy spoke smugly. Tobin looked around at all the students in

the stand and laughed. "If you would like to make a fool of yourself. Please be my guest." Tobin sneered. The players all mounted their broom and began flying in a circle around the field. Albert fled to the stands and

sat by Elizabeth who was intrigued to see the players flying so rapidly. "The captain of the Ravenclaw team is my older brother." Albert boasted

to Elizabeth. "Your brother? I didn't know you had an older brother?" Elizabeth replied in delight. "I didn't? Odd I usually don't shut up about

him." Albert replied. "Why didn't you tell me about the challenge?" Elizabeth asked slightly affronted. "I wanted to, but I couldn't risk you

alerting Clutterbuck. No offense." He answered as he fixed his gaze upon the field. "We need someone to release the quaffle!" Tobin shouted. "I

have asked for someone to release the quaffle and here he comes!" Fitzroy replied. Tobin turned to see James Potter approaching the center of the quidditch field where the quaffle was. Tobin was enraged to see

James would be releasing the quaffle to start the practice game.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

He turned to fellow fifth year student Melany Chattaway who was one of the teams beaters. "Send a bludger Potter's way before he scurries off the

field!" Tobin ordered. Melany just nodded before lining up as the rest of the team followed suit. Elizabeth noticed Professor McGonagall sitting a

few rows beneath her. "Professor McGonagall?" Elizabeth called out to her.

"Yes dear?" She replied with a disinterested tone. "How did you find out about the challenge?" Elizabeth probed.

"Nothing happens in Hogwarts without my knowledge. Also, Albert Dankworth told any soul who would listen." Professor McGonagall

answered. "You're not upset?" Elizabeth asked in a tone of disbelief. "Heavens no deary I am quite the quidditch enthusiast." She smiled.

"Can I sit here?" Albus asked Elizabeth as she smiled and motioned for him to sit down. To Elizabeth's right sat Albert and Albus to her left. "Potter." Albert informally greeted him as he looked onto the field.

"Hello Albert." Albus greeted him.

Now facing off Clutterbuck and Dankworth both nodded as James asked if both teams were ready. James Potter tossed the quaffle as high as he could. Tobin Clutterbuck managed to finesse the quaffle away from

Fitzroy Dankworth. A bludger dangerously approached Tobin and was batted by Melany Chattaway. The bludger was directed towards James with tremendous force only to be knocked away by Timothy Smith the

Ravenclaw beater. Tobin smiled as he soared towards the opposing teams keeper Harvey Graham. Lost in the opening excitement of the game the audience hardly noted an early attempt at the golden snitch by Slytherin

seeker Arthur Rowe who was almost sent flying off his broom by the bludger that was struck by Timothy. Tobin tossed the quaffle in the air and struck it with the broom sending it flying into the center goalpost.

Harvey Graham smashed his fist against his broom as he barely missed blocking the quaffle. Ten points Slytherin. Now being carried to other side of the field by Fitzroy he managed to slip by a Slytherin player to advance

towards the goalpost where Slytherin Keeper Sammy Langdon waited. Fitzroy took a bump from Tobin before taking his shot at the goalpost on the right. The attempt was swatted away by Landon and recovered by a

chaser on the Slytherin team.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

"Come on Fitzy you can play better than that!" Albert shouted from the stands only loud enough for Elizabeth and Albus to hear causing them to

chuckle at Albert's frustration. A bludger flew by Fitzroy's head and crashed into the wooden tower to his as he tried to keep up with the

Slytherin chaser. The bludger reappeared from the bottom of the tower and pursued Fitzroy who hadn't realized it was closing in. Another

Ravenclaw beater took a crack at the bludger unintentionally knocking one of the Ravenclaw chasers off of his broom. The player began

descending towards the ground quickly when his broom swept passed. The player barely managed to grab it with one hand then reached out

with the second hand. The player pulled his bodyweight up to be parallel to broom as he let go off managing to wrap his legs around it at the last

opportunity before gaining full control of the broom. "Whoa! That was bloody impressive!" Albert shrieked.

During the commotion a Slytherin chaser scored off of the distraction. Ten points Slytherin! Fitzroy who grew angry began calling formations to the chasers who lined up. Fitzroy approached the Slytherin keeper from the

left side of the field with the quaffle. When he was nearly halfway towards the goal, he tossed the quaffle to his right to another Ravenclaw chaser. The chaser almost immediately tossed the quaffle to another on

his right who hit the ball an impressive distance to score the quaffle through the left goal post. Ten points Ravenclaw!

"Yes! Come on Fitzy!" Albert yelled "You must admit that was rather impressive." Albus muttered to Elizabeth who nodded in agreement. Professor McGonagall rose to her feet as she

was highly impressed by the formation and determination of the Ravenclaw team to beat the Slytherins.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

Meanwhile

In the great hall of the school third year student Paisley Scrivenor ate alone. She contemplated joining the other students to watch the

Ravenclaw team challenge the Slytherins to a practice game. Although she settled for eating dinner alone and studying in the Hufflepuff common room. It was only the start of the year, and she felt like she was behind in her studies. "Paisley!" She heard a loud whisper calling to her just outside

of the great hall. "Who's there?" She called out nervously. She was met with silence as she hear rustling at the other end of the great hall.

"Hello!" She screamed nervously. She stood up and looked around when she heard a loud "Whoosh!" From behind her. With no one in sight Paisley

Scrivenor quickly finished eating before grabbing her items. Her first thought was to head to the common room to finish her assignments and

finally go to bed.

Back at the Quidditch field

Ravenclaw continued using their practiced formations to score forty points against Slytherin. Tobin Clutterbuck's face grew red as he vowed to

himself that he would not allow Slytherin to lose this challenge. While simultaneously Arthur Rowe and the Ravenclaw seeker were locked in a

battle for the golden snitch. Each of them edged closer only for the golden snitch to flutter just out of reach. This had been the best game of Quidditch Rowe has played to date. Confidence crept through him as he knew he would be the one to emerge victorious. Rowe pulled up soaring

higher as the Ravenclaw seeker laughed. "Wrong way Rowe." He mocked. Arthur flew just overhead of the Ravenclaw seeker. The audience all

watched wondering what precisely what Rowe was doing. The opposing seeker neared the golden snitch when Arthur Rowe launched himself downward at an acute angle. What followed would be the greatest

display of quidditch that most of the students had ever witnessed. Arthur Rowe stood on his broom then dropped grabbing the broom with his right hand using the other to grab the golden snitch that was just out of reach from the Ravenclaw seeker. Arthur secured the snitch then spun himself

onto the broom shaking his fist in the air.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

The audience erupted into a thunderous applause including Minerva McGonagall who clapped enthusiastically. "Well done Mr. Rowe!" She

shouted excitedly. Back on the ground the Slytherin players all surrounded Rowe patting him on the shoulders and matting his hair. "Well done,

Arthur!" Fitzroy congratulating Rowe on his performance. "It seems to me that Ravenclaw needs more practice. Adorable

formations Dankworth." Tobin boasted as the Slytherins laughed.

After the game the students all began returning to the castle to have dinner. Albert pushed passed Elizabeth without speaking a word to either

Elizabeth or Albus. "He'll be alright." Albus murmured. "I would be upset too, that was a spectacular finish." Elizabeth laughed.

Albus chuckled as they began walking. "Professor McGonagall! Professor!" Neville shouted as he approached

her. "Yes Neville?" She replied nervously as she could see the frightened look upon his face. "You need to come to the hospital wing right away!"

Neville shouted.

"What do you think happened?" Elizabeth whispered to Albus. Albus nervously began running as Elizabeth followed him. "Albus is everything

okay?!" Elizabeth asked confused as to why he was running. They ran down an unfamiliar corrido to Elizabeth when a familiar voice interrupted

her enquiring. "Ickle Firsties!" Peeves the Poltergeist began. "Shut up Peeves!" Both Albus and Elizabeth shouted simultaneously. They reached the hospital wing. "Shhhh." Albus whispered as he pressed a finger to his

lips. They snuck into the room with the beds for ill students when Professor McGonagall and Neville Longbottom entered followed by the

nurse. "What happened?" She asked sadly. "A student found Paisley Scrivenor unconscious outside of the great hall." Neville answered.

"Which student?" Minerva asked calmly.

"Hugo Weasley." Neville uttered frankly. Albus let out an inaudible gasp as Elizabeth looked at his surprised

expression. The only name familiar to Elizabeth was Weasley. "Send Hugo to my office. As for Ms. Scrivenor give her a Wiggenweld potion I shall return." Professor McGonagall ordered as she retreated

from the room.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

Elizabeth and Albus managed to sneak out of the hospital wing towards the Slytherin common room. "Albus is everything alright." Elizabeth asked as she followed closely behind. Albus didn't speak, only nodding his head

as he quietly marched to the common room. Elizabeth completed her assignments that evening, going to bed early. The next morning, she

looked for Albus in the great hall, but he was nowhere to be seen. When going to her potions class she stopped by the entrance to the classroom. She heard two familiar voices locked into a conversation.

"Horace, I wish this was a social visit, but I am afraid I come seeking an answer." Professor McGonagall spoke directly.

"How can I help you, Minerva?" Professor Slughorn replied quickly. "You reported that your storeroom was broken into. Was there anything

missing?" She asked impatiently. "Well yes there were several items missing. Well powdered root of

asphodel, infusion of wormwood, as well as Sophophorous Beans, as well as a few other items." Professor Slughorn replied somewhat nervously. "A student had been rendered unconscious by what I quickly gathered

was the Draught of Death." Minerva replied as calmly as she could. "Have you told any students how to brew the draught of death?" She

asked accusingly. "Well while it is part of my standard curriculum for sixth year students, I

am afraid I have yet to teach that particular lesson." He explained. "Thank you for your time, Horace." Professor McGonagall muttered

before walking towards the exit. "Professor! There is one thing you should know." Professor Horace called

out. "Yes Horace." She replied. "I have spoken to Albus Potter about his father when he was a sixth-year student. I may have boasted how Harry managed to produce a perfectly

brewed batch of draught of death." Horace said guiltily. "Thank you." Minerva uttered hastily before walking out of the classroom.

ElizabEth DurslEy: First yEar

She rushed out of the room so fast she didn't even notice Elizabeth who was standing to the right of the door. Elizabeth entered the room so

quietly that Professor Slughorn hardly noticed her.
