This is a one shot dream scenario about my female OC, The Rebel, Romi Masca who has elevated into the Heavenly Sword. As she prepares for her Women's Intercontinental Championship finals, she reflects back on what she remembered as her "perfect match."

The Perfect Match

Romi Masca, known to the world as the "Heavenly Sword," sat quietly in her locker room, her hands wrapped in the bandages that had seen countless battles. Her mind wasn't on the upcoming match or the roar of the crowd that awaited her; instead, she was lost in thought, reflecting on what she considered her perfect match.

To Romi, the perfect match wasn't just about the physical prowess or the brutality of the fight—it was about the story it told. A match that transcended mere entertainment and became a dance of wills, where every move was a statement, every counter a declaration. Her perfect match would be one where both competitors understood that the ring was a stage for something greater than themselves.

"The perfect match is one where you face someone who pushes you beyond your limits, someone who respects the art as much as you do," Romi often thought. She recalled a time when she had faced such an opponent. It was a few years ago, against a wrestler named Yumi Kaito, who had the same love for the craft, the same fire in her eyes. Their match had been legendary, not because of who won or lost, but because they both left everything they had in that ring. It was a match that told a story of struggle, perseverance, and respect.

Every counter, hit and slam was deliberate, the crowd in Madison Square Garden was loud and live, to the point where in the middle of the match, Romi and her rival Yumi was secretly crying in the ring. When Romi hits her finisher, the lifting inverted DDT, called Soul's Caliber, the match ended with the crowd believed in seeing a five-star classic.

But Romi's idea of the perfect match went beyond the ring. It was about finding a connection with her opponent, a shared understanding of why they fought. In her mind, the perfect match wasn't complete without that mutual respect—a rare thing in a world where ego often overshadowed skill. She believed that the true beauty of wrestling lay in the balance between the physical and the emotional, where two people could face each other as equals and leave the ring better than when they entered.

As she prepared for her next match, which was a mystery opponent, Romi couldn't help but wonder if she would ever find another opponent like Kaito—someone who could challenge her in every way, both physically and mentally. Until then, she would keep fighting, always searching for that perfect match, where the story of the Heavenly Sword could be written in the annals of wrestling history.

As Romi heads towards the gorilla position backstage, and she makes her entrance, realizing the lack of that connection she felt since that match...until Yumi Kaito's music hits and the intial shock turns into elation as The Pearl, Yumi smiles back at Romi while entering the ring. As the bell rings, Romi remembers what her Golden Lovers tag partner and mentor, Nero told her after her first match with Yumi. "Moments like this is why professional wrestling should be valued and cherished."
