Infernape said to Lopunny,
"Sorry I didn't tell you guys sooner. I kinda just made up the plan on the spot. Gardevoir should be outta here so we should just take everybody down." He turned his attentions to everybody else. Tyrantrum and Ampharos were behind him, with Liligant still trying to hold Garchomp in place before her. Infernape then looked ahead to see Bisharp, Malamar, Sableye, and a now conscious Druddigon. 7v4. Great odds.
Infernape kipped up, standing alongside his allies.
"Infernape! Y-You're in no shape to be fighting!" said Ampharos in shock. Infernape smirked confidently,
"I'm not finished just yet! I've still got some unfinished business with this cult." His attention then turned to Bisharp. He glared at the dark type,
"So, you and I are gonna have a little chat."
Infernape threw several fireballs towards the cult. The others used this as an opportunity to charge the enemies, with Lopunny barrelling towards Malamar, Tyrantrum and Liligant moving to face Bisharp. Aggron fighting Druddigon and Ampharos facing off against Sableye. Infernape stayed back providing firepower from a distance. He wasn't in great shape to be fighting. Besides, playing support would give the others some much needed reprieve.
Aggron and Druddigon collided. They locked hands and stared each other in the eyes. Druddigon had a smile on his face as he remarked,
"Now we're talking! I've always preferred fighting someone closer to my size!" Druddigon then pulled Aggron into a headlock. Aggron struggled against this vice grip, but managed to pick up Druddigon and slammed him into the wall. The two crashed through a wall and into a chamber almost perfectly suited for them. Druddigon fell from Aggron and rolled back onto his feet. He smiled at the steel type and wiped the blood from his lip. He stood up and the two stared each other down. They circled each other, waiting for one to make the first move.
Druddigon quickly fired a draconic fire ball at Aggron. He deftly dodged it, but this allowed Druddigon to get in close and dropkick the steel type. Aggron was shoved back, his feet tearing about the concrete beneath him. Once more, Druddigon rushed towards Aggron, but the steel type was ready this time. He raised his hands and crashed them both into Druddigon's neck. However, Druddigon was quick to recover, and wrapped his arms around Aggron's waist. Aggron tried to break free but before he could make any real progress, Druddigon managed to lift him up and slam him onto his back. Aggron gasped in pain from the impact. Immediately, Aggron recognized that he had just been suplexed. He wasn't fighting some random brute,
He was fighting a wrestler.
Aggron took a moment to figure out a game plan. Obviously, he was going to have to play keep away. Don't let Druddigon grapple him. He found it strange that Druddigon was fighting like this. If what Ampharos told him about his battle with Druddigon, then he used much more elemental attacks.
"I'm not here to play pay-per-view with you. I'm here to end this. Right here, right now!" said Aggron as he got to his feet. Druddigon smirked at him,
"You will. I haven't had a good fight since our last bout. I wanna make this more my style," said Druddigon, "I miss the old days."
Aggron grabbed onto Druddigon's hands and the two began a test of strength. Pushing against each other, trying to overpower the other. Aggron could feel just how much stronger Druddigon had become over these past few months. While they weren't equal, Druddigon seemed to have more of a combat-based background, granting him more leverage over the comparatively lightly trained Aggron. The steel type used this opportunity to talk,
"What do you mean 'the old days?'" he asked. As Druddigon pushed against Aggron, he responded,
"I was a prize fighter. Pretty promising new star!" Druddigon then twisted Aggron's arm and pulled it behind Aggron's back. He then pulled back and clotheslined Aggron in the back of the head.
Aggron slammed into the ground. He gritted his teeth, and smacked the ground with his fist. Rocks shot out from the ground from the impact, punching Druddigon in the chin. Aggron then backed away and shot off a hyper beam. Druddigon rolled to the left, dodging the explosion and sprinting towards Aggron once more, but Aggron as ready this time. He grappled Druddigon and threw him over his shoulder and fired another beam, this time a gray beam. Druddigon was buried into the wall, granting Aggron a moment of reprieve. A moment that Aggron would use to create a thorough plan of action and figure out just what on earth happened to lead a prize fighter to coming here
Bisharp sliced through several fireballs and rushed towards Infernape. Liligant sent several vines to try and stop him. Vines that Bisharp sliced with ease. Tyrantrum blasted Bisharp with a vicious draconic blast. Bisharp slid underneath the beam, and pushed himself into the air, towards Infernape. Infernape quickly fired a large burst of flames, which consumed Bisharp. However, the killer still doggedly pushed through the searing pain. He tackled Infernape to the ground and raised his hands, ready to kill. Infernape pressed his hand against Bisharp's chest and shot another burst of fire, which was finally able to push the dark-type into the ceiling above.
As Bisharp fell, Infernape tried to kick him but he was prepared. Bisharp dodged the kick and slashed at Infernape's head. The fire-type was just barely able to dodge it. The blade cut across his forehead. Infernape backflipped away to put some distance between the two and shot off several fireballs, to which Bisharp cut through them and rushed towards Infernape once more. A vine flicked BIsharp's legs, tripping him up. Those vines then grabbed Bisharp and held him up in the air as Liligant said,
"I plead for thee to stand down. There is hope for a brighter future for thee." Bisharp glared at her and pulled at those vines,
"Don't you condescend to me!" he hissed as he ripped his arms free.
Tyrantrum swiped his tail at Bisharp, which was met with Bisharp heartlessly cutting nearly to the bone. An anguished roar erupted from the tyrannosaur. Bisharp then grabbed the tail and tried to rip it off. Infernape rushed in, grabbing Bisharp full Nelson style and pulling him away. Bisharp stomped on Infernape's foot, to which the fire type screamed and let go of him. Bisharp then turned around and slashed once more, this time the blade sunk into Infernape's arm. Infernape gritted his teeth, trying to power through the onslaught of pain running through his arm. Taking a breath, he wrapped his remaining arm and tail around Bisharp and held him close. He then activated melting point.
Bisharp screamed as he could feel the searing burns spread across his body. He kicked Infernape in the stomach, finally freeing himself, but you can't just walk off burns. Bisharp looked at his smoking skin. He looked around at the three Pokemon surrounding him. He couldn't like his vengeance die out like this. He would get his Eclipse Gem back, and he would get rid of everyone here!
(A/N):Yeah, I think I'm gonna a need a small break. I'm starting to feel some writing fatigue and with my book as well, I think I just need some time to take a break from Pyrophant. You know, before the big finale. So, the next chapter of Pyrophant will come out on July 20th 2024. My apologies for the inconvinience and have a wonderful day.
