Chapter 3. Medusa

After traveling so many miles from her dwelling, Medusa felt it. She was close. So close to the man whom Athena took as a lover.

'If death by arrow won't work then being turned to stone will have to do. At least he won't suffer.' Medusa thought. But to her surprise the man didn't turn into a statue. Instead he just stood there with the same smile on his face.

"What?! I don't understand! You should've been turned into a statue!" Medusa says as she begins to backpedal.

"Oh that's simple really. I placed a seal on you that prevents you from turning innocent people into stone." Naruto said with a shrug.

"What?! When did you do that?!" Medusa asked while searching for the seal.

"It's on your back. Don't bother trying to rub it off or remove the area it's on. Only I can remove it." Naruto said making the Gorgon have a look of fear.

Which was then replaced by fury. She was so close. And yet this man stood in her way of vengeance.

With a yell of anger and anguish, she drew her sword and charged. Fully intending on slaying him.

"I will not be denied! You must die! So that bitch can feel the anguish of never seeing you again!" Medusa shout as she swung her sword at him.

Which he dodged. Not giving up, Medusa pursued him. But every strike she made, it was dodged or redirected. Medusa's new physiology granted her immense strength and stamina. So it was no surprise that she wasn't tired until the sun began to set.

She then collapsed as she dropped her sword. Completely spent from chasing the blonde around. She then looked up and noticed her supposed quarry wasn't even exhausted.
