Katsuki gets the speech first. What does he say instead?
AYMRAYMRAR
"How dare you!" The blonde screamed. He didn't bellow, yell, or holler. He screamed hard and loud and the near mob stopped short.
"How dare you tell a child whose risked everything to protect you people that he isn't allowed to rest! Look at his mother, here in this crowd with you, that her child, who can't even drive yet, isn't allowed to rest!" He was seething, his hands sparking without his knowledge or control.
"You have some nerve telling him he isn't allowed to rest when not a single one of you has tried to learn how to defend yourselves! You haven't bothered learning to use your quirks because you think people who are little more than cops in spandex are here! You've ridiculed your heroes into quitting because why would anyone help those who spit at them, throw trash at them! Why should we, who have been training to become heroes, risk our lives for ungrateful reprobates like you!" His explosions had started and mini ones were keeping him floating in the air.
"You want him to keep protecting you while also saying he should be fed to All For One on a silver fucking platter! How selfish and self centred you are! He gave up his own home and safety to keep us, his friends and classmates safe! Not you! Not the people who keep perpetuating the racism and fear that lead to this whole war! Look at this woman!" He pointed at the shark girl who'd run up to help Izuku, right beside Kota.
"Look at this boy! These two, completely different, in seriously different situations when he saved them and he did! No discrimination! No fear of them! Do you know why he had to save this girl? She's not even twenty, tell me why he had to save her from the likes of you!" He kept calling them out, yelling at them for their abuses.
"He saved her from people like you! She had to travel kilometres from her home to UA because other sanctuaries refused to take heteromorphs. And now you dare tell him, who has damn near single handedly protected you, that he can't even rest and fucking bathe!" By this point, he was well above the rest of them, glaring down at the crowd, red eyes almost glowing.
Izuku was behind the entire class, with Tenya holding him up, a stunned look on his face as he watched Kacchan tear the crowd apart. He saw as the crowd started shifting uncomfortably as he pointed out their own deficiencies.
"Bakugo, let me, you don't want to make them go back to being angry," Ochaco floated herself up to Kacchan and sent him back to the ground, where he landed and took Izuku's weight from Tenya, who moved to stand behind them.
"Listen to him! Now is the time to change things! Not just in how we treat each other, but in how we treat heroes," Ochaco started her own speech and Izuku turned to Kacchan.
"Thank you Kacchan. After everything… Thank you," the green haired boy tried his best not to cry and was failing miserably.
"Yeah, yeah, come here. Stop crying, you're gonna make my sweat go away," he muttered harshly as he pulled Izuku closer to him and patted the back of his head, tucking his face into his neck.
"Tenya, Shoto, can you help clear a path so we can get him inside?" The blonde looked at his two not-friends and followed behind as they made the crowd part ways. A few people glared but most only glanced at them before looking back at Ochaco, who was still talking to them.
"Kirishima, let's go. You and Shoto get clothes, soap, and towels. Tenya, you'll help me clean him up and make sure he's not got infections," Bakugo was very tempted to pick the boy up but knew he'd probably start sobbing in gratitude.
It didn't take them long to get to the dorm rooms again, and Bakugo very carefully sat Izuku on the ground in the bathroom.
"Alright, Izuku. Work with me here. How do I get your suit off?" Kacchan was feeling his sides and neck looking for a zip or something.
"It's a track suit. I can just pull off like a shirt," the injured, dirty young man muttered, fatigue finally catching up to him.
"Okay, can you lift your arms?" Katsuki looked at Tenya who was seated behind Izuku. The sleepy head shake he got almost made him chuckle.
"Okay, Tenya and I are gonna strip you down. You ready?" The blonde had his hands on Izuku's shoulders while Tenya pulled his arms up. They quickly divested the boy of his hero suit, equipment, and shoes while contemplating getting him to stand in the shower.
"Alright, up you go my friend. Let's get you in the shower now," Tenya, as always, was straight to the point and very proper. The duo pulled him up and stuck him under the hot water.
"So warm. Is been so long," the delirious voice floated up to them and they shared a look. They'd be having words with All Might and Endeavour later. After he was sleeping.
Shoto and Kirishima had arrived with clean clothes and had started helping clean Izuku when they heard that. They'd go with the blonde and ravenet later.
"I'll do his hair, can y'all get his body? He's slathered in mid and blood," Katsuki was distracted with what he'd say to the two heroes so he ended up using his own shampoo and conditioner on him.
Tenya, Shoto, and Ejiro split Izuku's body as evenly as they could. If it'd been any less distressing to see someone they all care for in the state that he's in, they'd almost be embarrassed at how intimate it felt.
"Okay, do you want to get into the bath or would you like us to escort you to your room?" Shoto stood in front of Izuku now that they'd scrubbed his skin red trying to get all the built up stuff off him.
"Can we hang out in the common area first? Then bed," the sleepy Izuku was pretty much propped up against Kirishima and Kacchan at this point.
"Yea, let's go! We'll move you to your bedroom when you fall asleep out front, don't worry," the spiky haired young man chuckled as he felt Izuku get more comfortable against him and Bakugo.
They spent the rest of the evening with him as Izuku finally got to relax and settle down. Not long after he finally relaxed, he was fast asleep.
"Shitty Hair, Icy Hot, let's get him to his room. Get the doors Legs," the blonde ordered them around but they didn't mind this time.
"Will we go talk to them now or later?" Tenya looked at his friend, sleeping in his bed and completely dead to the world.
"Now. Kirishima, Todoroki. Wanna join us in tearing the heroes apart?" The angry boy turned before they could answer and stalked down the hallways to the stairs and a window.
"Yea, let's go. I got some things I wanna say," Kirishima cracked his knuckles as he hardened ever so slightly.
Shoto didn't say anything, but his affirmative nod and the steam coming off his skin was an acceptable answer.
Bakugo reached the window and blasted it with a direct shot and leapt out, the other three following. Shoto made an ice ramp for the three who couldn't fly to slide down.
They went to the teachers dorms, just across the way, and started banging on who they knew to be Aizawa's door. They were mildly surprised when Present Mic answered the door with his eyebrow raised.
"Where's All Might?" Katsuki ground out, surprise forgotten at the reminder of their mission.
"Three doors down, on the left. I think Endeavour is there too. Give him a beat down from the two of us as well," Mic smiled at them and closed the door in their faces.
"Not our anything, let's go," Katsuki glared Kirishima into silence while they walked on.
"All Might! Endeavour! We have some things we need to say to you!" Katsuki banged on the door, hard.
"Aizawa texted, come in. I know you want to talk," the skeletal man stepped out of his doorway to let them in.
The four boys stopped when they saw Hawks and Nest Jeanist there as well.
With looks all around, they shrugged and continue into the room.
"Please, have a seat. Since schools not exactly in session at the moment, there's no curfew to deal with," All Might settled back into his armchair.
The quartet sat split on the loveseat and the ground in front.
"Which of you would like to go first?" The feathered fucker sitting next to Endeavour prompted.
"I'll start. Dad, why didn't you make it mandatory for Izuku to sleep and get off the streets for eight hours a day? You had that as a bare minimum requirement when you were training me and Toya," the side eye from Shoto was enough to melt ice, without his power.
"Well, I thought he'd be able to do the bare minimum to keep himself presentable. I see now that, much All Might, he was far too willing to bear far too much responsibility without rest," the flame hero wasn't exactly penitent but at least he knew where he messed up.
"And you, Hawks? You could have helped him, at least. Or restrained him or something. Or given him sidekicks? Endeavour could have done that too," Tenya had a severe look on his face that screamed contemptuous disbelief.
"Well, most of them have quit. The ones we had left were spread thin as it is. We had hoped to be able to cover the same area as them with the five of us, but he overdid it and kept out running us," the hero who was to fast for his own good had a hard time admitting that. Tenya just looked at him with a raised brow and straight mouth.
"What about you, Jeanist? You could have made his suit catch him with no sweat! It shouldn't have taken twenty teenagers and a half destroyed city to stop him!" Kirishima was definitely beyond perturbed by the state his friend was in, even if they're leaving the worst pet to Bakugo.
"Fair and I have no excuse. My actions, or lack there of, reek like fast fashion polyester. I should have been able to uphold the tapestry of safety while protecting an innocent. While I do need to see the fibres, there were ample opportunities for me to stop him," the blonde bowed his head and closed his eyes.
Everyone looked at Bakugo after that but he didn't recognise them looking at him. He was silently seething at All Might and his hands were clenched into fists.
When they all looked at Toshinori, there was almost a cloud of depression hanging on his faint frame.
"Why were the two most self sacrificing fools put together! Of all the people to put him with, you paired him with his hero! Someone he would never admit a weakness to! Did you even think?" The quiet voice grew into a harsh yell before quieting back down.
"Why wouldn't you at least rotate his handler every other day? You each should have taken turns watching over him. You should have known his guard would also be targeted. Why was this allowed to happen at all? You should have made sure he knew we were safe, regardless of if he was here or not," the rough timbre Latsuki always had was just a bit lower and rougher than normal, his eyes were closed, and his head tilted down. He hated having to talk to them about their own fuck ups.
"Honestly, Young Bakugo? I feel the same. I honestly feel responsibility for what happened, even though I know it probably wasn't inevitable, we simply didn't think. We should have, and we should have spoken to you and the rest of his friends but we didn't and we can never apologise enough for that," Toshinori bowed to the four boys who'd cleaned their friend.
"Well do better. He won't be alone. Next time, we won't be trying to bait them, we'll hunt them," the hard flint in the blue eyes made the quartet believe him.
"When next time comes, use us. Why else would we have gotten our provisional licenses?" Shoto's calm voice cut through the pain and hurt hanging in the atmosphere easily.
"Believe me, we will. We won't make that mistake again. We'll talk to Nezu about getting other students and other schools in on this. We won't be alone again," Hawks picked up the slack in the conversation.
The four boys nodded and prepared to leave a few minutes later when they were stopped.
"Please, believe that we never met for him to end up in the state he was in," the quiet voice of Toshinori called to them.
"I know. We will make sure it shan't happen again," Katsuki didn't turn around but his voice was much softer than it had been all evening.
The four walked back to the dorms, lost in thought.
"Hey, what are we going to do about that blasted window on the second floor?" Shoto looked at Tenya and Kirishima started laughing. Katsuki snorted but kept his eyes forward.
