The Fairy Tail guild hall had been transformed into a stunning venue. It was a good thing the guild had been upgraded as they had to fit not only the Fairy Tail members but the other guilds as well.
Beautiful lanterns floated in the air courtesy to Romeo and Wendy's magic, casting a glow over the tables. A 3-tier cake, thanks to Mira, stood proudly in the center, and guests mingled around, congratulating the couple and indulging in the festivities.
Gray was looking slightly uncomfortable in his suit, he had wanted to strip from the beginning of the day but Erza had threatened him not to. He stood by Juvia's side, accepting congratulations from everyone with his usual gruff charm. "Thanks, man," he said, clapping Lyon on the back. "I still can't believe this day actually came."
"Me neither!" Lyon grinned. "You finally admitted your feelings, little brother!" He emphasises the little brother. Gray rolled his eyes.
Before Gray could retort, Erza Scarlet stepped up, she was wearing a beautiful halterneck dress and stood next to Jellal. "Congratulations, Gray, Juvia," she said, her voice full of happiness. "I'm proud of you both." Erza was glad the two had finally married. She was their biggest supporters.
"Thank you, Erza," Juvia beamed, tears forming in her eyes. "This is the happiest day of Juvia's life."
Erza nodded, then glanced over where the wedding cake was. Her eyes narrowed slightly. "When do we get to eat that?" She had good intel that the cake was actually a strawberry cake.
Juvia giggled. "Soon, Erza. But first, Gray and Juvia need to cut it."
Gray smirked. "We wouldn't want to get in the way of you and your cake."
After some dancing and speeches, it was announced the cake was going to be cut. Juvia smiled as she held Gray's hand and they sliced through the cake together. The crowd cheered loudly as the first slice was made.
Slices of cake were soon passed around and everyone was enjoying the festivities. The happy celebrations however were short-lived.
"Hey! That's my piece!" Natsu yelled, lunging for the cake that both he and Happy were going for at the same time.
"Oi Flame Brain, back off," Gray growled stopping both Happy and Natsu with an ice wall.
"I saw it first!" Natsu shot back, and before anyone could stop them, the two were locked in a heated argument, fire and ice being thrown in the air. Happy hurriedly flew away not wanting to be in the firing range.
"Not again…" Lucy sighed, rubbing her temples as Happy fluttered above her, laughing at the scene.
"Gray-sama!" Juvia cried out, worried about Gray's suit being ruined.
But it wasn't just Gray and Natsu. Gajeel, who had been watching with a smirk, couldn't resist joining in. "Oi, Salamander, if you want a fight, I'm more than happy to take you down," he said, cracking his knuckles.
"Bring it on, tin can!" Natsu roared.
In a matter of seconds, what had started as a small argument over cake turned into an all-out brawl. An ice shard had hit Elfman in the back, and never one to back down from a fight, jumped in, shouting something about being a man. Romeo, not wanting to miss out also joined into the brawl.
Laxus looked on with mild interest, considering whether or not to join but thought it was too juvenile. He did however shoot a spark from where he was sitting at and aimed it at Droy who was happily eating. Droy turned around to see the brawl and thinking the spark had come from Natsu, joined in. Laxus smirked at his handiwork. Evergreen, who saw the whole thing, rolled her eyes.
The other guilds who had been invited to the wedding watched on with a teardrop at the side of their forehead. They should have known this wouldn't be a regular wedding reception with Fairy Tail involved.
Amid the flying fists and shouts, Erza stood still, her gaze locked on to the cake which was now dangerously close to the brawling men. Her eyes twitched as she saw the table the cake was on slightly tremble.
"Enough!" Erza's voice boomed, louder than the commotion. Everyone froze, mid-punch, mid-shout, and mid-bite.
The air went cold as everyone turned to look at Erza, "This is Gray and Juvia's special day," she said, her voice low and dangerous. "And more importantly I will not let you imbeciles ruin that perfectly good cake! That cake is mine." Jellal couldn't help chuckle slightly at his girlfriend's priorities.
With that, Erza strode forward, her presence alone parting the crowd. She stood in front of the cake, a sword appearing in her hand. With a single cut, she sliced the rest of the cake into perfect pieces, glaring at anyone who dared to move.
"Now, I want everyone to take a piece and enjoy it peacefully," she ordered.
The boys of Fairy Tail, too scared to argue, quickly grabbed their pieces of cake. Nervous laughter filled the room. Natsu and Gray, both looking slightly sheepish.
The other guilds couldn't help laugh at the how the boys of Fairy Tail obeyed Erza's command. Although many of them understood why.
"Sorry, Juves," Gray said, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "Guess we got carried away."
Juvia smiled, leaning into him. "It's okay, Gray-sama. This is Fairy Tail, after all."
Erza finally allowed herself a small smile as she bit into her slice of cake. "Delicious," she murmured, satisfied.
As the brawl settled down and the guild members returned to the festivities, music filled the air, and couples began to take to the dance floor once again. Juvia's eyes softened as she saw the joy on everyone's faces, the love and friendships that filled the space.
She was about to ask Gray to dance when a gruff voice interrupted her thoughts.
"Oi, Rain Woman."
Juvia turned to see Gajeel standing there, hands stuffed in his pockets. There was something soft in his expression as he looked at her.
"Gajeel-kun?" Juvia tilted her head in surprise. "Is something wrong?"
He rolled his eyes. "Don't make me say it twice. Come on, let's dance."
Juvia blinked, caught off guard. "You… want to dance with Juvia?"
Gajeel shrugged, looking uncomfortable. "It's your wedding, isn't it? And I'm suppose to be your family yeah? Figured I'd better ask you before ice princess hogs you for the rest of the night."
Gray raised an eyebrow at Gajeel, surprised that Gajeel could even dance. He knew however the deep bond between Juvia and Gajeel.
"Go ahead," Gray said, giving Juvia a nudge. "I'll be right here."
Juvia smiled, her heart swelling with affection for the two most important men in her life. "Thank you, Gray-sama."
She took Gajeel's hand, and he led her to the dance floor. The music softened, becoming a slow, melodic tune that filled the room with a gentle warmth. Gajeel placed a hand on her waist, the other holding her hand, and they began to sway to the rhythm.
"You look happy," Gajeel said gruffly, his eyes meeting hers.
"Juvia is very happy," she replied, her voice soft. "This is everything she ever dreamed of."
"Good." He nodded, his expression softening. "You deserve it, Juvia. After everything, you deserve this."
Juvia knew Gajeel wasn't one for words, especially not the sentimental kind, but in his own way, he was showing how much he cared. "Thank you, Gajeel-kun," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "Juvia is so grateful to have you in her life."
He grunted in response, clearly uncomfortable with the emotional exchange, but his grip on her tightened slightly, reassuring her.
As the song drew to a close, Gajeel spun Juvia gently. When she came back to him, she found herself laughing through the tears that had gathered in her eyes.
"Don't go getting all weepy on me," Gajeel muttered, though his tone was more teasing than anything else.
Juvia wiped her eyes with a smile. "Juvia is just happy."
Gajeel nodded, then glanced over at Gray who was dancing with Levy. "Go on, get back to your groom. Before he starts stripping in front of my wife and making a scene."
Juvia giggled. "You know Gray-sama too well."
Gajeel released her hand and stepped back, giving her a small nod.
"Thank you, Gajeel-kun," she said, her heart full. "Juvia is so glad you're here."
She returned to Gray's side who had finished dancing with Levy. Gray pulled her close, wrapping an arm around her waist as they watched the guild celebrate around them.
"What did he say?" Gray asked, curious.
Juvia smiled up at him, her eyes shining. "He said Juvia deserves to be happy."
Gray chuckled softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "He's right."
And with that, the two of them joined the others on the dance floor.
As the night went on, with the stars shining brightly, Gray thought about all that they had gone through to get to this point. He knew that he probably should have just admitted it sooner but at least now he could fully give his heart to Juvia.
" I love you Juvia." He whispered into Juvia's ear as they danced.
Juvia smiled softly and whispered back, "I love you too."
